Food, atmosphere, staff, everything was great there.

I don't usually write reviews, but this is the most rude thing I've ever experienced. We ordered through Uber Eats and there was a "order one burger, get two" offer. One of the reasons we ordered. When the food arrived, there was only one burger. When we called the store, we were told it wasn't their offer and that they would call the manager and get back to us. When nothing came an hour later, I called again and then the employee in complaints management, who was really hard to underestimate, told me: "Yeah, he can't reach the manager." After a lot of back and forth, he said he'd have the burger delivered, but it would take a while. Okay, we'll wait. That was Tuesday, today is Sunday. Still no burger, no call, nothing. Sorry, but this is absolutely rude.

Yuck. Frozen patty that wasn't cooked properly. Smash Burger? A real Smash Burger is characterized by a thin patty with crispy edges. To create the typical crispy crust, the meat has to be "smashed" on the grill – a two-centimeter-thick patty, unfortunately, has nothing to do with that. The meat is flavorless thanks to thawing. All the other ingredients are also flavorless. A small bowl of fries for €5.90, which you'd pay €3.50 for at a takeaway, and they're unseasoned and unsalted. Unfortunately, we can't understand the outstanding reviews at all; from us, a clear case of: Never again. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately, they work in a bad place.

We were there for a Neotaste offer. They were supposed to offer a loaded fries for €1 (as a special offer valid for only three days). It wasn't available. They didn't know anything about it. A great offer to attract new customers!

We went there for food and drinks. The salmon bowl was just too spicy and not particularly tasty. Aperol was OK. The burger was OK. The meat was very dry. The house lemonade was just pure sugar. Didn't taste good at all. Wouldn't eat there again.

Unfortunately, the food was not good at all. We had three bowls where the mango was still frozen, the feta cheese was not good, and the tofu was rock hard. We gave some nice feedback and only received a "sorry" response. We definitely wouldn't eat here again.

We ordered online from their website on Saturday evening (Ambiente 4 because I'd already been there and remembered the place as being quite pleasant). Our food still wasn't there after 1.5 hours. So I called, thinking, okay, it's Saturday night prime time, so that can happen. They told me on the phone that my food was on its way (roughly a 5-minute drive to my address). After a total of 2 hours, I called again, annoyed by the fact that they hadn't seen my order, and therefore it hadn't even been prepared yet. It wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't told me on the first call that it was already on its way. Lying to the customer is completely unacceptable, and then trying to get out of it by saying the order was confused with a Lieferando order is also a joke, since there couldn't have been any other order to my address. After I complained and was promised that the food would be made and delivered immediately, it arrived within the promised 20 minutes. The food itself was okay, but nothing more, and it seems like it's a hit or miss every time the place is good. This whole lying thing is absolutely unacceptable!

I've always loved ordering from Base Burger, but today I ordered a non-alcoholic Frozen Berry Daiquiri and got one with alcohol. That shouldn't happen, especially with something like alcohol.

Very good burgers, service was also good

A short notice for a larger group! It's been hyped up, which I don't really support. The cheeseburger is okay in size. Taste? No salt or pepper. Price? €13, expected more for that. Basic fries? Small portion for €6, too expensive for the amount, nothing special. Desserts were changed and served without asking; they weren't accepted. We won't be returning! The price/performance ratio isn't really right.

A very gloomy, tiring atmosphere. The food tastes very good. The waiters chat the whole time with friends who just came there to chill. I just ordered there, have been waiting for 1.5 hours, and no one answers the phone. The ride to us takes a maximum of 15 minutes. One star because you provide a phone number that's unavailable anyway, and you can't manage to answer it 10 minutes after the store opens on a Monday.

Very nice people, a bit expensive.

The burger was good, and so was the dessert (pancakes). The service, however, was abysmal. From dirty glasses to forgotten drinks, to serving the wrong drinks, to forgetting to clear plates and even asking for orders, everything was unfortunately there. The ambiance (we sat outside) is also subpar. Located right next to Kik and the entrance to Kaufland, it's really not a great place.

We were there during the FISU Games, and it was very crowded. The service was friendly but overwhelmed by the sheer number of people. We waited over an hour for drinks, and the food came before the drinks. The food: burgers were good but small. Bowls: okay, I've had much better. A side order of fries was a mini portion for €5.90. Overall, it was way too expensive for what you get.

When you're served, the food is delicious. I'm not picky about the wait time for an order, but when it feels like half the restaurant is complaining about where their food is, something's wrong. You could also communicate with the customer, saying we're missing someone today or something... But this is just bad.

I was a bit shocked by some of the negative reviews, but I was all the more pleasantly surprised after my visit. The burger was great, the bowl was also incredibly tasty, and the portion sizes were more than adequate.

There were two of us and we each had a burger and shared sweet potato fries. They were very tasty. The burger could have been from a well-known chain. Nothing special. The price-performance ratio is poor. The burgers are far too expensive and small. We paid €50 for two small burgers, one fries, and two cheap drinks. It was very empty (4 tables occupied). The food came quickly. We said we wanted to pay. After 20 minutes, no one came, so we went to the bar and paid there. Even though it was empty, the music was so loud that it was very difficult to have a conversation. Overall, we were satisfied with the food, but not with the price or the atmosphere. There are better burger joints, so we won't be coming again.

My wife invited me here. It was very loud at first. There were several loud bangs from behind. Tables and chairs were moved without being lifted. It's meant for larger parties. It wasn't very busy. The €16 burger wasn't anything special for me. It even lacked the smoky jalapeno sauce, but I didn't notice that until later. A small portion of fries for €5.90. The Classic Lemonade was supposed to contain mango. It didn't taste good. The Lava Eruption dessert was tasty, but one of the creams was too salty. We couldn't find the coconut chips either. All in all, "once and never again."

I highly recommend The Vulcano; it's a delicious burger. The service team is courteous, attentive, and friendly. Baseburger is worth a visit; I'll stop by again next time I'm in Bochum-Wattenscheid.

We've been here several times. The drinks selection is good. I particularly like the fries. You can also sit outside (almost always in the shade of the mall). The portion sizes are (once again) quite good. However, they're a bit pricey for Wattenscheid.

The burgers taste good, but for around €14 without any side order, they're ridiculously expensive and small. The dessert was delicious, looked great, and was worth every cent.

The food at Baseburger Bochum was delicious, but our online reservation with the discount code MAI20 was canceled without comment shortly before our visit. The promised 20% anniversary discount was not granted, even though we arrived and ate as planned. I emailed the official address on May 24th and followed up later – still no response. The customer service is disappointing and unfortunately leaves a negative overall impression, despite the good food. I would have been open to clarification – it's a shame it had to come to this. Update: I did receive an email response: "Good evening I'm really very sorry, we didn't cancel the table and we informed our colleagues that they have May 20. Sincerely" This response is completely unprofessional, doesn't address my concerns, doesn't attempt to find a solution, and is, overall, an absolute disgrace.

The place itself was actually super cozy. The staff was also very friendly, and they took care of our order quickly. However, the place smelled of urine, and the waiters served us the wrong food, and unfortunately, the burger bun was burnt.

A very good and tasty selection of burgers with an American flair. Unfortunately there are currently only smash patties - I would prefer a classic patty. Service is nice and the food was prepared quickly. In my opinion, the side dishes are too expensive for the portion size.

Positive: - Food came quickly - Every burger is available in vegan/vegetarian - clean and cozy atmosphere Negatives - Food was cold - Quality slightly better than fast food chains (for example, frozen fries from the supermarket) - Portions way too small - Price absolutely not justified, way too high for what you get - the “Homemade Icetea” consists only of syrup with tap water In conclusion, you can say that the food tastes okay, but the price and performance do not match at all and you could easily make the food better at home.

Unfortunately one of the shops that doesn't pay attention to allergens. Despite repeated warnings, I was served food twice that I couldn't tolerate. Not recommended!

Recommendation: delicious burgers and everything you need for a burger meal. Quickly and friendly prepared and served. Good price/performance ratio. Unfortunately the restaurant is only in ;-) "Bochum-Wattenscheid" and not in Düsseldorf on the Kö.

American restaurant? Mmm. The small base fries are completely overpriced; In addition, it is rather inedible in terms of taste and consistency. We came hungry, but had to leave half of it behind. In addition, the spicy cheese dip did not live up to its name. All that times two, 1 apple spritzer for a total of >21 €.

We came here on the recommendation of two colleagues who praised the burgers as the best burgers in North Rhine-Westphalia. We absolutely cannot confirm that. The burgers taste good, but are absolutely average and overpriced. The atmosphere is cool and unspectacular, the service inattentive. We came from Düsseldorf and wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Nothing special, average burger. What makes it special is the possibility of having a crown made of liquid processed cheese placed on it. Fries tasty but very small. Service was first done by a nice young woman and later another colleague showed up to cash. I prefer to be looked after by one person at a time. I hope the lady got something from the tip, especially since she had looked after us before. So it wasn't worth the journey from Essen. Too bad

The burgers taste good and the offering as such is also good. However, you have to put this clearly in relation to the price. You can't get much less than €20 for a burger including fries here and every other burger chain and shop can compete in terms of taste for a much better price

A nice restaurant, the citizens should be good. “The Volcano” looks really good when it erupts. And fries with avocado are something different...

The 4 stars are mainly due to the fact that there is basically nothing to complain about when it comes to the taste of the burgers. What bothers us the most and compared to other snack bars in the area or burger joints is the price. For a nice little cheeseburger with a maximum of 160g of normal beef (not organic, not Black Angus or similar) is too expensive. The cheapest fries as a side dish cost 5.90 euros extra and are simply disproportionate. In the attached picture the fries cost 8.90 euros! Even at Ash, the basic burger only costs 14.40 euros including fries! Nevertheless, I wish the chain continued success, many people seem to like it regardless of the price.🙂

Great burger variations, very tasty. Fries with pulled pork were also very good. Only the drinks are relatively expensive.

Lots of selection of burgers, bowls and fries. The names of the dishes take some getting used to. The burgers were tasty and the quantity was sufficient. Service was a bit slow with drinks even though we were almost the only guests. Peak hour was around 6:30 p.m. and it got busier. Reservations are recommended on weekends.

The visit to BASEBURGER Bochum was a complete disaster. Despite making a reservation 3 weeks in advance, when we arrived on time we were seated at a high table at the bar that had not yet been cleaned by the previous guests. When we sat there we waited 30 minutes and not a waitress came to let alone take a drink order. Reason enough for us to leave the restaurant again. That's not how you treat guests!

Burgers good, service with room for improvement

Anyone looking for a delicious burger experience will definitely be disappointed here. The burger “The heart attack” was literally more mass than great. The fries tasted like hairdresser's fat and the price for the entire evening for 3 people was just under €100. A catastrophe in terms of price performance. I can't recommend this burger place. Would I eat there a second time? No thanks

The burger selection is good, although it takes some time to sort through the unusual burger names and types. The burgers, fries and bowls were delicious and enjoyed by everyone. The pancakes, on the other hand, were less recommended because you could clearly taste that they weren't freshly prepared.

One burger was tasty, the other was okay, but unfortunately it was missing jalapenos, which were listed on the menu. The water was served in a decanted glass bottle, you could tell that the Sodastream was water. The fries were unsalted. The food came relatively quickly. After the burgers we ordered dessert straight away. That was at 9 p.m. Conclusion: the dessert came after request at around 9:47 p.m. The pancakes were cold. We weren't charged for them afterwards, but of course it was a shame about the time we had to wait. The staff was undecided about it or gave us an unsafe impression. The shop closes at 10 p.m., which was also made clear, some of the staff had already put on their jackets and were standing around at the bar about 20 minutes before closing time. That made a very expansive impression on us. The menu offers a variety of delicious things, but it was our first and last visit.

As always, very tasty. Attentive nice service. A highlight in the Wattenscheid.

The food was very tasty! Everything was to the point and I couldn't find anything to complain about when it came to the food. Burger patty on point and fries crispy, just as it should be. Food arrived pretty quickly, but there wasn't that much going on either. The service was very nice, had everyone in view and was always available. Ambiance is good, but nothing special. We would love to come back and have recommended it directly to others.

Yesterday I was at BaseBurger for the first time, all well and good, where I got the homemade iced tea with a moldy lemon. Literally moldy, the waitress pointed it out and they brought me and my wife new ones. Unfortunately, I ate the burger with a queasy feeling because of it lemon

The food was tasty although a bit expensive. It was pretty fresh in the store. The service was friendly. The toilets were clean. The parking situation in the adjacent parking garage is pleasant.

When we entered the restaurant shortly after it opened at 5 p.m. there was relatively little going on. After we were denied the offer to take home via neotaste, we sat down and ordered at the table. We waited over 50 minutes for our food. In the meantime, a young guy came in and was then able to order take-away via neo taste. Why is there a double standard here? We didn't get much of an apology either. Burger was okay, I ordered without onions and there were still onions on it. The fries were delicious. Service was a bit overwhelmed and it took a long time before we could even order drinks.

Every positive review is completely incomprehensible. The food was terribly bad, absolutely inedible. After the first bite, which we couldn't even swallow, we got up immediately. You can't say much about the service, the lady was new and still learning. Unfortunately there is nothing positive to say about the food. The meat was very, very far from any quality standards. Anyone who has even the slightest understanding of good food should not visit this shop. As we all know, tastes are different, but this inedible food would normally not please you. By far this is the worst store we have visited. We would advise against visiting.

Food was ok but nothing special. The service and behavior of the employees towards customers is bottom drawer. Waited 1 hour for the food and another 20 minutes for the bill when it wasn't busy. No accomodation from the employees, just rude answers.

It's been a while since I've been there again and I'm shocked at the prices now. I immediately had NYC vibes from overpriced burgers and side dishes. It's a shame, the taste is great, but given the prices you'll prefer other locations.

Wir waren das erste mal dort. Die Burger sehen online und in der Karte sehr gut aus, leider wird das aber nicht richtig umgesetzt. Die Burger kamen überraschend schnell (unter 10 Minuten Wartezeit), aber die Pattys und die Pommes waren anscheinend schon zu lange in der Pfanne/Ofen. Das Fleisch war sehr trocken und das schlechteste am ganzen Burger, hätte so nicht serviert werden dürfen. Wir haben den Service drauf angesprochen, man wolle die Anmerkung weitergeben. Haben das Fleisch dann nicht komplett gegessen, ansonsten ganz okay, aber eher keinen zweiten Besuch wert.

Proud prices for simple creations in cold buns. Efforts are being made to maintain the image of powerful and lovingly designed burgers, but the taste can be improved. Ambience is like that. Menus could be wiped down.

I was never inside, only internet from outside

I rate the delivery service here. Ordered twice and was bitterly disappointed twice. I was always satisfied in the local restaurant but the burgers from the delivery service are a joke. Dry bun, cold meat, cheese that doesn't even melt, missing ingredients and wrong sauce/paste on the burger, which tasted absolutely terrible of oriental spices (100 % no barbecue sauce as usual). I couldn't taste any spices, such as salt on the meat either. That with 2 burgers for a total of almost 30 euros is outrageous. Delivery time was quick, driver was friendly.

The atmosphere was quite pleasant. The burger was very tasty and the fries were crispy. The service was unobtrusive but very friendly. However, the prices are also quite high.

Wasn't what I expect from a restaurant visit.

Great burgers, friendly service, amazing fries! (and very tasty lemonade too) We were here a bit late (around 8:45pm on a Tuesday) and it seemed pretty empty, only on other table with guests except us, hence the atmosphere was cozy and the food, and the whole expierence, was really great. I had a burger covered entirely in cheese sauce, this was.. Unusual and very unique, but pleasent, would recommend again anytime.

The Hamburgers came out quickly and were delicious. The pancakes took longer and were cold. They were a little sickening. The establishment is well decorated, clean bathroom But the floor of the room was dirty, and what's worse, the menus were all dirty, full of fingerprints and the pages stuck together. I didn't want to read it

I've eaten at Baseburger twice now and it was great both times. The heart attack with cheese sauce is simply a dream
