B im Beckmanns Hof in Bochum

I would like to thank B im Beckmannshof for the truly wonderful evening celebrating my 60th birthday on July 4, 2025. Our group consisted of 60 people for a private event. We were 100 percent satisfied, and I will recommend B im Beckmannshof to all our friends and acquaintances. I would especially like to highlight Mr. Schmidt and his service team. They always had an open eye for every guest. Drinks were served in a flash... Wonderful service that is second to none. My guests also raved about the culinary delights. All so wonderfully deliciously prepared and a feast for the eyes. We would be happy to host my family celebration with you in the future. It couldn't be better... Four-course menu. Very delicious and unusual. I'll be back.

We came here for coffee and cake, were served very friendly and were given delicious cakes. Everything's great!

We received a very warm welcome as a group of 18. The cake and coffee were delicious. We had pre-ordered, though. We'd be happy to come back! Thank you!!!

We had a delicious meal here after a visit to the botanical garden. Price/quality is really very good. Friendly service and a nice quiet terrace.

We were there for lunch, the price/performance ratio for the 2 or 3 course menu was good, the food was tasty

The soup was slightly spicy but delicious. The beetroot dumplings were very good. Overall, a great option for students and spontaneous visitors to the Botanical Garden. 👍

A fairly inexpensive and tasty menu is offered at lunchtime. The evening is only open on Wednesday (“pleasure evening”) and then a four-course menu including drinks is offered.

Reservation makes sense. Nice and good service. Upscale and lively cuisine. Delicious. Only card payment is possible! Parking on the university grounds is not easy, as the Beckmanns Hof is located in the Botanical Garden! I'll be back!

After entering the store at 2:00 p.m. we took a seat. The waitress brought the lunch menu, but a short time later she came back to collect the menu cards again and apologized, saying lunch was only available until 2 p.m. Instead she offered to order cake for us. Since we only wanted to order cake anyway, we agreed and now waited for the menu for cake. She went back into the kitchen, probably to get the menu, but came right back and told us there was no cake. That seemed very suspicious to us.

Only pay cashless? I don't have to let this be dictated to me... without me. Bye, Beckmanns Hof

Visited the botanical garden in Bochum today and stopped at B in Beckmannshof for refreshments. We felt very comfortable here and ate very well. The menu was quite manageable, but what was on offer was really tasty! The service was also very friendly and attentive. We would love to come here again!

Beautifully located in the RUB Japanese Garden, ideal for “external” events within walking distance of the central campus of the Ruhr University Bochum.

Nach längerer Anfahrt endlich um 13.50 Uhr da. Der Service sagte uns dann um 13.53 Uhr, es gäbe nichts aber auch gar nichts mehr außer Kaffee und Kuchen. Im Internet ist angegeben 14.00 Uhr. Keine Suppe, kein Salat, naja Küche vor 14.00 Uhr dicht nenne ich nicht guter Service. In der Not entschieden wir uns dann zwischen 2 Törtchen für das Stachelbeertörtchen. Glücklicherweise nahmen wir nur ein Stachebeertörtchen. Eiskalt , völlig übersüßt konnten wir es nicht essen. In der Zeit, in der wir dort waren mussten mehrere kleine Gruppen Senioren gehen, da NUR Kartenzahlung möglich ist . Naja, so stößt man guten Kunden mit allen Mitteln vor den Kopf. Man scheint es dort halt in keiner Weise nötig zu haben. Keine Empfehlung

Wir hatten lecker Kaffee und Kuchen!

Waren zum Kaffee trinken dort und haben super leckere Törtchen gegessen.

Tolle Lage. Leichte und raffinierte Speisen. Mit Terrasse bei gutem Wetter lohnt ein Besuch allemal. Wir kommen wieder!!!

Kann man gut empfehlen, ein schöner Ort.

Ein tolles Restaurant in unmittelbarer Nähe des botanischen Gartens der Ruhruniversität Bochum mit einem wunderbaren Biergarten. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und die Mitarbeiter waren feundlich und aufmerksam.

Immer wieder gerne, besonders sofern man draußen sitzen kann. Wunderbar, dass das Restaurant nach s e h r länger Pause nun endlich wieder geöffnet hat. Nettes Personal. prima Essen , auch nach der Schließung immer noch zu sehr fairen Preisen

We love going here! It is a small restaurant run by the university caterers. The service is great. The food is imaginative, although I admit it could be better. The ambiance is fantastic, it is in an old Tudor farm house. The prices are reasonable however the potions are a bit on the small side. They are fine for me but we know people who will have a business lunch there and then pop over to the university cafeteria to pick up some extra food!

Sehr schöner Ort für Fortbildungen und Tagungen, mit einem hervorragendem Restaurant und sehr gutem Service. Ebenfalls Trauzimmer der Stadt Bochum in schöner Lage.

Ein wahres Erlebnis. Das Personal sowie das Ambiente hat einen phänomenalen Eindruck hinterlassen. Was uns dann noch als Menü serviert wurde, können Worte nicht beschreiben. Von der Vorspeise bis hin zum Dessert war es ein perfekt gelungenes Essen. Preislich wird das Essen weit unter seinem Wert angeboten. Ich habe bereits in vielen Restaurants gegessen. Dieses zählt nun zu meinen persönlichen Favoriten. Gerne komme ich mehr als nur ein Mal wieder und kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Ein großes Dankeschön an dieses tolle Restaurant und deren Mitarbeiter.

Very nice, very quiet small restaurant hidden in the middle of the botanic garden, in a vicinity of the University. Superb for a nice meal on the terrace. Not many options: at my visit they were offering 3 menus (meat, fish or vegetable), but food was excellent, very nicely presented, and very reasonably priced. Staff? As friendy as it gets, without beeing intrusive.

Gutes Essen zu sehr fairen Preisen, schönes Ambiente.

Zufällig entdeckt... Sehr positiv Überrascht. Hervorragende Menüs und sehr freundliches Personal. Meiner Meinung nach Perfekt.
