What a gem of a place. Perfect dishes, kind staff, great ambiance. And a wine list that's picked with care. I'll be back.

Been here twice and had a great experience both times with amazing food and great service. Lots of amazing different tastes in the dishes with a great wine list.

The quality here is high, but the prices are far above what the experience is worth. We ordered nearly everything on the menu—some dishes were good, others just okay. Overall, the food is inventive, but it's simply too expensive. The meat dish, in particular, was over 25 euros, quite tough, and lacked any seasoning or flavors that could justify the price. The worst dish: the zucchini salad, almost tasteless. As an Italian I love delicate flavors, but it was almost tasteless, a useless dish. Maybe there was bad luck with the zucchini, in Berlin it happens, but for this very reason you can't offer a dish like that. Premise: You can only book online through the restaurant’s website, where they charge your credit card 40 euros per person (80 on total) if you don’t show up (which is fine). What really bothered me were two specific issues. First, the reservation process. . Upon arrival, we were seated directly at the counter on high stools without backrests. All other tables were occupied, and we weren’t asked if we preferred to sit more comfortably at a regular table. Normally, in restaurants of this level and price range, customers are given a choice between counter seating with a kitchen view or a regular table. Luckily I was close to the wall and I was able to pose my back there. The second issue was much more unpleasant. We had a 150-euro gift voucher from friends. We spent around 160 euros in total. When it was time to pay the 10-euro difference, I was in the restroom. My wife was informed that the 40 euros held on our credit card at the time of reservation would not be refunded, it s an already done payment. Instead, for "accounting reasons," they offered us another voucher for 70 euros (the 80 euros minus the 10 euros we still owed). In short, instead of just paying the 10 euros and settling the bill, they wanted to force us to return by issuing another voucher for 30 euros. When I returned and heard about this, I was stunned. I politely insisted that this was unacceptable. The manager, who I believe is the owner, claimed that when you have a voucher, you must book by phone, not online. There was no mention of this anywhere on their website or on the voucher itself. He said he had told this to the people who bought the voucher (I later confirmed this was not true). Not finding this legally sound, I mentioned that I would consult a lawyer. At that point, it became a matter of principle. I certainly had no intention of using another voucher at this place. Suddenly, the manager said that they could, in fact, refund the amount, but would deduct a 5-euro fee. Just to get out of there, what was supposed to be a romantic dinner with a babysitter had turned into a frustrating experience, we agreed. Within moments, the refund was processed. I have read other reviews of customers with similar problems regarding invoices and pre-payments. So it was not a case of ours. I really cannot understand the enthusiasm in other reviews for this restaurant, which, despite having some quality, seems to equate minimalism with excellence. No sign outside, no clear instructions on the website for booking with a voucher, no questions about seating preferences, small and sometimes overly simplistic dishes. I’ve never written a negative review in my life, and I’m well aware of the challenges in the restaurant industry, including costs and pricing. However, such a negative and misguided approach to customer service has pushed me—two weeks later, because the more I think about it, the more it bothers me—to write this review.

Went for a special meal with my mother, the atmosphere was great and really cosy, the food was delicately made with special flavour combinations which kept everything interesting. Unfortunately no pictures were taken because the food was too good (I didn't even think about taking a pic). Would recommend.

One of the best places I have visited in Berlin. The food is amazing, great selection of wines and the service is also pretty attentive. Big thank you to Vicky who was always checking at us and providing recommendations on wines.

What an incredible meal and evening! Every dish we ordered was flavourful, interesting and excellently executed. Our waitress Jackie was incredibly friendly and charming and very knowledgeable, taking us through the wine pairing with fabulous suggestions. The ambience was lovely with some fun music playing. Would definitely recommend on all levels, it’s got the food, vibe and service.

Get here before the chef gets a star and prices/reservations become hard to get

Me and my man have been twice to Barra. It is propably the best restaurant in Berlin atm. The food is mindblowing, the drink selection is divine and the service is perfect. Casual, attentive, professional. Chefskisses for literally everyone on the team. Already planning the next visit...

It's a really high-end restaurant for Berlin, the prices are high (around 90€/person with wine) but the food is really delicious and amazing. Flavors that work wonderfully with combinations you wouldn't expect. The wine list is also really great, with a very tempting selection of natural wines. The servers are attentive and extremely kind. Small downside for the water (which we know is chargeable) but we had asked for a carafe (€8...ouch) and they gave us one once finished without us asking for €16 on the bill. The experience was really very good, I recommend but be careful on this detail.

An exceptional experience! We would come back every day of the week but we don’t live in Berlin. 😅 We ordered the entire menu and it was delicious throughout its entirety. Flavors were building up over time and there were some pretty nice surprises. Their wine list is also very exciting and we trusted the staff with some nice recommendations. Come here if you want to have a perfect evening 🙏

For the pricing I found the experience underwhelming. Very nice atmosphere, beautiful lights and ideal for a romantic dinner. Very good wine selection. Not blown away by the food and service. For the price and the deposit you would expect something breath taking, but it is not as special as I expected.

Another new hipster restaurant where you have to pay for the food in advance and the waitress books the 10% tip in advance and you just ask if that's okay...

Absolutly amazing dinner at Barra Berlin. Sophisticated, delicious and cozy for a perfect night. The food, full of variation in ingredients and flavours, but yet consistent in each step, marinated perfectly with our somelier Vicky's choice. Also, her exceptional service fully made our evening perfect: her passion and warmth made this experience even better. PS: higlight of the night - "New potatoes, Veal Sweetbread & Seaweed Hollandaise"

Barra is a magic spot in the neighborhood. My partner and I have been there 6 times now. We are always excited to visit and we leave looking forward to our next visit. The menu is updated frequently, according to the seasons, and provides innovative, delicious options for every taste. For spring you have to try the trout and the green asparagus. The wine list is carefully curated and the super friendly staff is happy to suggest different options to pair with the food.

The food is good and the saffron roe dish is even outstanding - but it is incredibly overrated! And unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not right at all, not to mention the extortionate wine prices! Therefore, as solid as the cooking is and you can't really complain about the service and ambience, in the end it's unfortunately not true - at least not for me and my companions and we've eaten a lot of things around the world....

Barra has been my favorite restaurant for years now and it still is. They definitely kept developing over the years and have become a well adjusted machine, chucking out top notch plates consistently. Not to mention one of the best front of house and service team I have ever seen. Always right there if you need them and calmly in the back when you are enjoying the food. I don't know how they do it but the vibe and pace just feels effortless and natural. We always come back to barra after trying new places. It is simply THE benchmark for casual fine dining in Berlin. And yes, as every other place they had to raise prices due to sales tax increase but I think they managed to keep an affordable menu. I gladly pay that money for this quality and knowing that everyone in the team can live of the wages without working weekends! Oh last but not least, I found pretty much all my favorite wine makers here from their awesome wine list.

This place is one of a kind. Meticulously curated dishes served with flare and care by absolutely delightfully personable servers. Everything was excellent from the moment we walked in. The asparagus with smoked haddock and dulse was by far the highlight. It may be seasonal (as is the ever rotating menu) but if they have it is a MUST GET. Thank you so much to the chef's, severs and busers for an incredibly memorable meal! 5 stars 5 stars 5 stars!!!

Food was delicious. Flexible with arrival times. The atmosphere at the back of the store is really less pleasant. Service is not very friendly, more attention and warmth would be better. The portions are small and therefore quite expensive. The wines are also pricey. All in all a nice meal, but really over priced.

Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences you can get in Berlin at the moment. Great products, great wines. Keep up the good work.

Haven’t had as much fun at a restaurant as at Barra for a while. The food was amazing. Great combination of flavours with an amazing service that picked the perfect wine for every meal. Shoutout to the service as well. Absolutely great, felt like coming to a foodie friend for dinner. Literally no complaints here. Top experience in 2024. Definitely worth a star, hope they get one soon.

*****THIS IS BERLIN'S BEST RESTAURANT***** Save up your money and head over to Barra before you visit ANY other Berlin restaurant. You will get blown away by the most fantastic and sometimes unexpected flavour combinations and high quality ingredients, unbelievable service and a lovely ambiance (minimalistic but cosy, correctly sound treated room, quality speakers and solid music selection). You will guaranteed never have experienced anything like this in Berlin before. We just kept on saying "Wow!" when we left. We were teleported somewhere else completely for a few very enjoyable hours and then stepped back into reality outside. I don't think I have ever experienced anything like it. Every single person working in the staff was friendly, smiley, warm, relaxed and subtly personal. Jesse, our guy for the evening is an absolute pro in the game and did an outstanding job throughout our visit. A massive thanks to the entire team - keep up the incredible work and we will be back!

One of the best restaurants I've been to in Berlin!!! The two of us had 6-7 dishes and every single one was fantastic. Considering the quality of the restaurant, I don't think the prices are too expensive either. Also a nice atmosphere and nice service. That's not surprising at all on weekends and it's always pretty fully booked, so you have to make a reservation early.

Honestly a 10/10 experience! Can’t fault anything about Barra. The food and service were both exceptional, we were served by Vicky who was passionate and attentive. Every dish we had was carefully curated, complex and considered featuring fresh, quality produce. Thank you for making our last dinner in Berlin so memorable! X

I made an error in the time of my booking so we were directed to a bar down the road before coming back.The food was fantastic - fresh flavours and beautifully presented. Our waitress was fun, knowledgeable about the menu and local wine and super friendly. The atmosphere is buzzy and the restaurant is quite small so definitely recommend booking. It’s easy to miss this restaurant as it’s tucked down a small road and there’s no big flashy sign outside - all things that we loved about Barra. Unpretentious, welcoming and felt very local.

It's very good, but the prices are excessively expensive. They do it very well in the kitchen and the staff is very attentive. They could improve some things if they want to be so high-end (example changing the plates).

Bang-your-head-against-the-exposed-brick Good! From lovely Vicky to a sparkling red wine that elevates you from the depths of standard tinto. The place showed us its rollercoaster of flavors and openness to opinions I had to thank with outmost sincerity. What a night!

Anything you try here is going to be spectacular. It's one of those places where you don't quite understand what you're asking for but it's impossible to fail. Incredible flavors. The menu varies weekly. Any dish is exquisite. Even the desserts. I totally recommend visiting it and making a reservation before you go. The place is small

Service was very nice, as was the ambience and the wine. But that was it... The latest reviews confirm our impression. The food was partly overloaded with elements/sauces that didn't complement each other particularly well. The prices are at star level, but unfortunately the food is not at all. The broken plates somehow fit into the picture.

A Bib Gourmand on the way to a star. Thr menu has flavour and balance that is hard to find at many sharing plates places in London. Kitchen-watching spots at the bar, and communal tables at the back.

To be honest the dishes were not surprising, and the quality of the Entrecôte were below average. Besides that we liked the friendly and recommending service and cozy atmosphere by the bar. However with the cost of 300EUR for two in just two hours (without wine pairing as it was workday), we had expected more fantastic tastes.

The second time after one and a half year we visited the restaurant and was really disappointed - the plate was broken and the chef tried to explain that there is no issue, some broken plate in Bib Michelin restaurant - it is not an issue.🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The service was great, very testy food, the recommendation for bib restaurant from Michelin list justify what we get. We also get the wide explanation for wines they suggest. After 2 other bib restaurants where we have been really disappointed this place is small but great with delicious food and professional staff

My experience at Barra was overall alright. I’m a bit disappointed, but there are definitely positive and negative aspects about my dining there. I would like to start with the positive things. The staff was kind, friendly, and definitely trained and professional. Some dishes were very tasty, with interesting combinations of flavors. The ambience was pleasant, and the wines I had were very good. Now, for the negatives: it was overpriced, with Michelin prices that didn’t match the quality of the food and the vibe. While we were still eating, the kitchen staff was cleaning in front of us—brushing the floor, stepping on the kitchen counter, cleaning the walls, and shelves. This felt extremely inappropriate and didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. Despite booking in advance, my partner and I were seated at the bar, and the stools were very uncomfortable and not intimate at all. They didn’t change the plates, which is sometimes necessary, especially when eating different dishes to avoid mixing flavors. This is something I would expect from a low-standard restaurant, not from such an expensive place that aims to provide a fine dining experience. The dessert was a bit off and not well done, with a mix of ingredients that didn’t match in flavors. For me, it was a failed experiment. I’m not sure if I will go back, but I’m happy I went there and gave it a try. :)

We had a great evening. The ambiance and music selection were great, the food too (that broth 😭). Some nitpicks: - when you have so many italian-inspired dishes on your menu, maybe try to learn how they are pronounced (or at least don't correct Italians when they pronounce them :P) - we would have liked the plates and glasses to be changed more often - our waitress was really friendly, but other waiters and the girl at the cash desk not so much. when I'm giving you a 30 euros tip on a 450 bill I expect you to put a smile on and ask me how the food was

Everything was really really good. The fish, the vegetables, the pasta and the desserts were perfectly balanced in terms of tastes and ingredients. Portions are good. We took 6 plates in 2 people with two glasses of wines and we spent 60€ each. A bit pricey but we went out really satisfied. Definitely worth it!

Fantastic food and great service, in a cosy and casual environment. We tried almost everything on the menu - particular shout out for the duck pasta dish, the monkfish and the celeriac. Malt cake and milk ice cream delicious too. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on food and wines. Overall a wonderful dinner. Only drawback is that we were seated at a high table with backless stools - not great for the +60s!

Big disappointment. The food is below average, the prices are extremely high for small portions. Of the 6 dishes, 2 tasted OK, the remaining dishes were not good. By the way, the most expensive dishes tasted the least. Oysters were not well chilled, pork neck was too salty, sauce was inappropriately salty, and so on. Price and performance are light years apart. Would like to shop without substance.

You can eat something there and also get a snack in between. Turkish pizza is good and fries too. Kirstin

Food is very good but 5€ for bread is greedy. It’s a standard condiment in Italian restaurants. Also the warning:“oh your order is probably not enough, the kitchen is gonna close soon“ seems more like a trained threat to get more out of the customer‘s pocket. Then you ask for a specific wine and the try giving you the more expensive one. Overall a decent restaurant that could do better if they didn’t apply these techniques.

There were two of us and it was our first time here... rather our last time. The place is actually very nice, the map is interesting, the staff is friendly, but: Deposit for reservation ok. But then we would have liked to spend the whole evening there. Instead, exactly 2.30 hours after our arrival, we were warned that we wanted to pay... the next guests were waiting. Our (main) server was very nice, but asked to communicate in English. Your German is not good. So above all, no chance of real recommendations for the (very interesting!) menu, no nuances in the description of the dishes, no real wine recommendations, etc. The food is meant to be shared. Good idea! The starters were great, fluffy focaccia, creamy mozzarella (maybe a little less salt), juicy ham :-) The main courses were a bit mixed - the salad was banal, the mullet was great, the mussels were terribly spicy, the ravioli with saddle pork was perfect, the Jerusalem artichoke with wonderful roasted aromas! For dessert, reconciliation: goat cheese, fruit bread and fig mustard rounded things off very nicely, the orange ice cream with nut butter was very, very tasty. Conclusion mixed: Please pay attention to better quality of advice when it comes to service, please turn a blind eye more when it comes to time and guest management. P.S. Bill for two > €300

First surprise: the aperitif. A vermouth tonic with an amazing zesty twist. The dishes: from start to finish incredible in taste and presentation. The flavors: ranged from the subtleness of a home cooked meal in Italy to surprisingly rich explosions made from the simplest seasonal ingredients. A very thoughtful and attentive service complemented the evening. Only the music could be a little less loud.

A fake version of that concept of minimalism. I personally have seen some excellent examples, especially in Italy-Florence. Here the food is even below-average. do not make the mistake we have done.

I go there at least once a month. Food is amazing and the menu is changed frequently. There’s plenty in of vegetarian options, although vegan would be difficult. The selection of wines is great. You will most definitely find some very interesting and unique wines. The vibe is very chill, but this does not take away from the service in my experience.

Sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Kombinationen, die man nicht jeden Tag auf seinem Teller findet und die definitiv dazu anregen, selbst einmal zu experimentieren. Die Portionen sind klein, sodass man sich durch mehrere Gerichte durchprobieren kann, ohne am Ende mit dem Kran aufgerichtet werden zu müssen :) Gute Weine und eine nette Bedienung

Gehen immer gerne ins Barra; die ausgewählten, wechselnden Gerichte sind saisonal ausgewählt, mit bodenständigen Zutaten raffiniert kreiert.

Ich war vor einigen Wochen hier und fand es wirklich nicht gut! Die Barhocker ungemütlich zum sitzen, trotz Tisch Bestellung 6 Wochen im voraus. Essen war durchschnittlich und die Preise deutlich zu hoch für diese Portionen und Qualität. Der Service ist leider nicht auf Augenhöhe und authentisch. Mich wundert es wirklich wie so ein gentrifizierer Laden Publikum hat. Es gibt so gute Plätze zum Essen in der Stadt, lasst euch kulinarisch anderweitig verwöhnen. Keine Empfehlung, nie wieder!

Hard to share the emotions we had with each dish, gosh we literally LOVED everything. The food is awesome, the wine list offers a wide variety of alternatives, the personnel is super friendly, the cooks are talented, the music perfectly matches the atmosphere…… definitely worth a mention in the Michelin Guide. Food was good, nothing mind-blowing but good. Unfortunately the service left us a bitter taste. We wanted to hear about their products but the waitress didn’t feel like being there on that night. We all have bad days, I can understand that. But a condescending attitude is a no-go.

We came here because we absolutely loved Otto (a similar and related restaurant in Berlin). Unfortunately we were a little disappointed, as service and atmosphere definitely didn’t really reach expectations. The waitress was didn’t speak German which is a shame (I know it’s a berlin thing) and came across quite unprofessional. The food is very good but the dishes are very small. It’s a sharing concept and you are supposed to order 5-6 dishes. We usually like this but Barra has only 8 main dishes on the menu and a lot of it was fish, so if there a just a few things you don’t like the choice gets v limited. We ended up with quite an expensive evening (250€) for two people but I can’t say that it was totally worth it unfortunately.

Lovely service and good wine recommendation, Great quality of food (sometimes not fully to our taste, but that's personal), More on the pricy side. Dinner for 2 will set you back around 160-180€.

Whilst the dished varied form very good to interesting and were attractively priced , some things about the "concept" were a bit over the top : a) A very strong encouragement to order everything and share amongst the group despite several indications that people wanted to order separately. b) The sequence of order delivery was strictly top to bottom from the menu, ie if you happen to order 2 dishes from the bottom, you had to wait until the end. They did make that clear, but if the capacity is so limited in the kitchen maybe a set menu is the better option. c) The shared table had only high chairs with no backrest...a bit uncomfortable over time d) When I asked where to add the tip on the card bill, they showed the dreaded 18/20/22 % pre suggestion we all know and hate from the US. Please don't start that in Germany ! The wine list was good for the whites, it lacked a few full bodied reds.

This would have been one of the best meals I had this year. We had oysters, two fish dishes, the mushrooms, a pasta and a dessert. The mushrooms, the dessert and the oysters (best oysters I had in years, a really nice sweetness to them). I can’t wait to come back again soon and try new dishes.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Each course complimented the next one and the attention to detail was excellent. The tomato, shiso and peaches was extraordinary - stunning flavour combinations. Designed well and comfortable, wine was very good, staff were friendly and attentive, GREAT soap in the bathrooms and overall ambiance. Perhaps unsurprisingly as it was Berlin, the music was outstanding and expertly curated by the restaurant. 10/10

The food and the service are great, getting a reservation was a bit hard, because not every credit card is accepted by the system. But if you write a E-Mail it is possible without a credit card. The vegetarian options are amazing. We had the bread with salted butter and the salat as starters and it was phenomenal. For the main course’s we had the tomato with peach dish, the mushroom egg dish, the carrot and pepper soup and the ricotta filled pasta dish. All of them tastet great, the peach tomato was my favorite my friend liked the mushroom egg dish the most. And for dessert we had the chocolate mousse with ricotta ice cream and the marigold ice with cake and apricot dessert, both very delightful but the olive oil overpowered the the ice cream a tiny bit. The service was super nice and Professionally. She help us select a great sparkling wine as a starter and mocktails. The restaurant is chic and modern, but also this restaurants biggest weakness. The smell of Neukölln is noticeable and no amount of cleaning (it is super clean!) and pretty interior design can change that. Overall a great experience, I would recommend it for couples and small groups of friends. It is a fine dining experience, but not as pricey as you would expect with that quality of service and food. It does deserve 4,5 Stars. We will come back.

We, a group of four, decided to spend our evening at Barra. Based on recommendations from friends and positive reviews, our expectations were quite high, and for the most part, they were met. 🍲 Food: We explored almost the entire menu, and each dish was a small masterpiece. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor combinations left us in awe. 🍷 Drinks: The wine and cocktail menus also did not disappoint. They perfectly complemented our gastronomic experience. 🎨 Ambiance: The modern yet cozy interior makes this restaurant a great spot for friendly get-togethers as well as romantic dinners. 🙋‍♂️ Service: The staff was polite and attentive, ready to answer all our questions and offer recommendations. ❗ One Downside: The only drawback was the waiting time between courses. Despite the restaurant not being overcrowded, the service took quite a while. Overall, Barra is a fantastic spot for those who appreciate quality food and a cozy atmosphere. We will definitely return, but we hope that the next time the service will be a bit faster.

This place is a big recommendation! Food, 10/10 sevice 10/10 wines 10/10. I have been here when visiting berlin. Made a reservation two weeks upfront. When i’ll be back in the city i will go here again.

The waitress was very professional, but: She over sold dishes saying it will not be enough for 3 people. While in reality, it was way too much. The pauses between the dishes were rediculesly long. We sat down for 2 hours and still didn't get all our dishes, while we were already very full. The waiters kept clearing our dishes while we were still enjoying the sauce, without asking if we are done. There was no back support on the chairs, so waiting for the dishes was very uncomfortable. Food was ok, not mind-blowing, and definitely not worth the wait. A bit pricy for what you get. The bread was the best part. The waitress also kept taking away the sparkling water pitcher to refill it, before we finished it, without asking if we want more, and at the end we saw we were charged us for all of them. Will not return.

Evening started quite interesting. Setting is a bit utopian (or distopian) depending on how you look at it. impeccable service, very delicious dishes. Whatever we tried made sense. Depending on what you want choose your time accordingly. Earlier hours are very quiet it gets livelier after 21.

Gut, wenn man mal da war. Alles i.O, keine Offenbarungen, sieht man von einer Hühnerpaté absieht. Die war outstanding. Ein wenig over-priced, wenn man die Einzelpreise addiert.

Abzocker-Restaurant von Möchtegerns für Möchtegerns ! Völlig überteuerte Miniportionen mittelmässiger Küche - verbal hochgeschwurbelt auf der Speisekarte - Die durch Vorauszahlung ((80.-) 1 Monat im voraus getätigte Tischreservierung entpuppt sich beim pünktlichen Eintreffen als 2 Plätze an der Bar - wo ich (schwerbehindert) mit Begleitung die nächsten 2 h auf 1 Barhocker zurecht kommen muss - Als ich darauf hinweise, wird mir erklärt, dass es mir frei steht wieder zu gehen, wobei die Vorauszahlung verfällt - Die (Tages)Karte verspricht 1 kulinarisches Erlebnis + wir entschliessen uns zu bleiben - die grosse Weinkarte zeigt beim Überfliegen wenig Sachverstand, jedoch völlig unangemessene Preise - Profitmaximierung !! Als dann das Essen nach und nach serviert wird, ist es meistens gut, wenn auch nicht auf hohem Niveau und die Portionen extrem klein - auch beim Hauptgang. Die Atmoshäre ist keine. - Zu laute Musik + Service mit Pseudofreundlichkeit - Verkäufer keine Gastronomen - Es gibt in Berlin reichlich Restaurants, wo man auf diesem Preisniveau wirklich gut essen und trinken kann und auch einen guten / professionellen Service findet. Es ist bedauerlich, dass so ein Laden (Restaurant?) auch noch positive PR durch die Berliner Zeitung bekommt - es gibt wohl auch korrupte Gastrokritiker - und ich hoffe, dass der Markt (die fehlenden Gäste) diese Form der Abzocke schnell wieder verschwinden lässt -

Dinner here was absolutely exceptional - could not have been any better. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable (when helping us choose a wine, for example). Food was delicious, varied and unusual. We had six or seven plates of food to share, and each one was special. Served one at a time, it worked as an intimate tasting menu and the perfect romantic dinner for us. Didn't have to fill our own wine glasses once - waiter was always ready to top us up when we were running low. The atmosphere was perfect. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Barra was the single best thing about my Berlin trip, highly recommended.

Standing in front of the restaurant, we couldn’t find a sign saying that we are right at “Barra” restaurant, so we went in and finally saw the name printed on a menu on the bar table. We had a reservation, which was necessary even on a Tuesday early evening, because the place was packed already. Sitting at the bar, we were curious to sense the energy of the place incl the open kitchen. This brings me to my first positive point: the (kitchen) crew was extremely calm and friendly with each other. We loved the overall spirit and the respectful interactions across the team. Concept-wise, we learned that at Barra you rather order a certain amount of dishes (pre, main, dessert) and share them. About the food: very smart and interesting combinations with high quality ingredients. Big kudos for everything we ordered! Highlights for us: The Pfifferlinge with Eigelb and the entrecôte. Exceptional! To add: the salsa coming with the self made pasta brought us both back to the kitchens of our Nonnas. This is rare - Very well done! The service was great. We felt very comfortable. I would still think of adjusting the wine pre tasting a bit. Just pouring another wine in the used glass, with still some wine in it, does not feel appropriate for the wine prices and the overall treat. We had a very pleasant evening and will recommend Barra to our friends and family.

Smart food, elegant with bold flavours. Neat service. Keep it up guys! A star is coming..!

27/2/22 Amazing - perfect service, we had the best waitress who help us choose from the a la carte and then from the wine list. She took very good care of us. Outstanding food!

Great food - we ordered 5 plates for two and then both deserts as well. Everything was good and the service was amazing! Wines were lovely and the recommendations were great.

Delicious food, solid minimal intervention wine list and good atmosphere ! Edit 2023: better than ever.

Red mullet and strawberry was my favorite, definitely a brilliant dish. I would want to attend such special events and wish there will be more.

Very nice place, great food. We will come back there
