Super fragrant and super delicious🤤 I like kaese spaetzle the most. The meat is also very fragrant and tender. The waiters are also very enthusiastic and kind. I will bring my friends to eat here every time.

Very nice restaurant with a great selection of food. Make reservations well in advance if you want to eat there, especially on weekends! The chestnut soup was a poem, as was the home-brewed beer. The onion roast and the venison goulash are also highly recommended. What was a bit troublesome was that no one was available all day. We had a question about the reservation and couldn't reach anyone - neither via the contact form, nor via email or Facebook, nor over the phone - we tried 11 times during the day. This is part of good service 😞 after all, you should also cancel reservations by phone, so you wonder how 🤷‍♀️

Brewery with typical regional food. I know how very well, it also has a direct connection to the hotel and is located behind the large church. Reasonable price and good own craft beer. You have the possibility of purchasing small tasting packs

Definitely make a reservation if there are more than 2 people, I was there on a weekday and it was packed. Good Swabian-Bavarian home cooking. Nothing that blows your mind, but most people come for the home-brewed beer anyway. This is really tasty and highly recommended.

Quite full and loud as the room is completely open. The ambience is nice, but I'm not a fan of being able to look at your plate from outside.

Unfortunately very disappointing (total grab in the toilet). The food is not even suitable for a canteen. But we have never experienced such grumpy and bad service staff. It's a shame, this really spoiled our otherwise great impression of Ulm. I am convinced that such conditions do not exist here in Tyrol (despite the lack of staff). A disappointed family from Tyrol.

Delicious food and beer. The service is very nice despite the large number of guests and busy activity. Käsespätzle are very tasty. Portions are large and definitely an advantage if you are very hungry.

Ich gehe gern in den Barfüßer in Ulm und geschmacklich ist das Essen meist super und der Service ebenso. Aber es gibt Dinge, die mich ärgern. Wenn man auf der Karte eine halbe bayrische Ente schreibt, sollte diese auch so wie noch im letzten Jahr, auf dem Teller liegen und nicht nur ein Brustfilet und ein nicht zu definierendes anderes Stück. Genauso ist es mit den Rinderbäckchen. Wenn man geschmorte Rinderbäckchen schreibt, dann müssen es mindestens 2 sein, sonst verspricht man dem Gast etwas oder weckt Erwartungen, die man nicht hält. Wenn man nur eines meint, muss geschmortes Rinderbäckchen auf der Karte stehen.

Ein muss in Ulm! Schade das es den Biergarten nicht mehr gibt.. vorher reservieren macht aber einseitig Sinn. Die Portionen sind wirklich groß und das Bier ist ein Traum.

11/17/24 Today was the time here. Went in for lunch at short notice. Barefoot salad with strips of beef, what feels like 80 grams of raw beef, for almost €20.00, burgers for almost €20.00, guys I'm surprised that the place is still full given the quality and the prices. If you complain, the (kitchen) boss should show enough respect and come to the table. Then I don't need to write a review like that here. But the nose is very high up. The service alone deserves 5 stars!! 04/18/23 Thank you for your reply. I had to listen to exactly the same thing 3 times in your restaurant. It wasn't apple strudel, it was nothing. More like a tarte flambée dough rolled up somehow. Whoever did it should repeat the training! I can also eat good steaks, burgers and salads elsewhere. We usually go here to eat, which is always to our satisfaction. Always 5 stars. Today we just wanted to stop in for a quick coffee and apple strudel. Space and friendliness was as usual. The apple strudel (which we have had as a dessert every now and then over the years was always perfect) deserves a grade of 6 and that too with a star. We informed 3 employees, including the lady at reception, about this, only standard excuses! Here you should consider not leaving the guest standing like that, because that is certainly not cheap, but either canceling the food or leaving him with a small one. Voucher to say “sorry”! Unfortunately that didn't happen. Therefore a deduction with 3 stars. P.S.: We eat here at least 5-6 times a year and don't rely on receiving food for free.

Went to Barfüsser with 9 people and had reserved a table. After three hours the waitress told us that the reservation was only valid for 3 hours, so we had to leave. That's a disgrace.

Nice place, good service and good beer. Unfortunately, the pulled beef burger we ordered wasn't really convincing. I'll try something different next time as everything else was very satisfactory.

Service was super fun! The beer was absolutely divine, even though I'm not a beer drinker! I got the Grandma Traudl's Schwabenteller - really delicious! My husband had the chicken schnitzel - I have to say that his portion was really puny compared to mine. ;) The next time we are in Ulm we will 10000% come back. The beer has to be ordered until then :)

Chic restaurant in the center of Ulm. A full house on weekday evenings speaks for itself. Menu with good selection. The food was really very tasty. The Helle Barfüßer is super tasty and you can't get enough of it. The service was extremely on point and always there, you never had to wait long. Anyone in Ulm should pay the Barfüßer a visit!

Die Sperripps würde um 11.30 in den Ofen gegen gegessen habe ich Sie um 14.15 viel zu lang im Ofen gewesen wenn man Mittagsmenüs bis 15 Uhr anbietet, kann man die Sperripps nicht alle um 11.30 in den Offen schieben

The waitress didn't really have a clue. When I asked if the dressing was vegan, the response was “of course, our yoghurt (!!!) dressing is always vegan. Someone didn't do their homework The lettuce at the bottom of the bowl was completely brown. I took it out and showed it to the waitress. Apart from a “I can ask if there is an espresso on the house” nothing came. Even the full price had to be paid. I mean something different by customer orientation All in all not recommended

I sat at the bar and had to watch the beer being poured. There was a glass of Barfüsser gold with which every beer was topped up. Do you seriously adulterate beer in a brewery? Some of the receipts were not torn off and were hanging from the cash register in the draft beers….

Essen war sehr lecker, wenn auch nicht richtig heiss. Geschmacklich aber sehr sehr lecker! Allerdings war die Gaststätte aufgrund des Fussballspiels bis auf den letzen Platz besetzt! Der Service auch schnell und sehr freundlich!

Ideal for a drink with your friends in the evening. Although the food is of fast food quality, you are faced with a relatively high payment. Although I could not find what I expected in terms of price and performance, it may be given a chance due to its central location and being in a popular spot.

SUUUUUPER!!! We drove 500km to visit this location. The ambience, the welcome, everything was perfect. Since we didn't have a reservation, we had to wait at the counter for a moment, but we had a good time there too. The selection of food and drinks is really great. The self-made Barfüsser blond is highly recommended. We had the knuckle with bread dumplings (a huge scoop!) and the roast pork also with bread dumplings. The meat was so wonderfully tender and the crust on the knuckle was fantastically crispy. YUMMY I hope to be able to find or order Barfüsser beer somewhere near us. I just have to drink that again. WELL DONE 👍🏻

The Barfüsser Brewery is the headquarters of the regional brewery. The restaurant is centrally located at Ulm Minster, the ambience is harmonious, the service and food are good. I thought the beer tasting with three beers to choose from was great.

You should definitely visit when you are in Ulm, great atmosphere, very friendly and quick service. The food is very good and the portions are large. Really okay for the price for what is on offer. I can recommend 👍🏻

By far one of the best pork schnitzels I have ever eaten. Plus the spaetzle, which taste incredibly good with the sauce. Of course, dessert couldn't be missed, and it was also very good. The ambience is very nice, but also more reminiscent of the typical brewery atmosphere. The service is very friendly and quick. Overall the food and service were very good. Clear recommendation!

We were there spontaneously yesterday and the restaurant was very full, but after a short wait we still got a table for two. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right. The portions are more than fair and everyone at the table is full, regardless of how hungry they are! Parking is available for a fee and free of charge within a 5-10 minute walk.

The schnitzel and potato salad were DELICIOUS! Portion very very large! Very nice waiters! I recommend it to everyone :)

Der vegetarische Flammkuchen war mir zu fettig und auch die optische Aufmachung nicht besonders überzeugend und anmachend. Der Preis dafür ist mit 13,90 € meiner Meinung nach um mindestens 4 Euros zu hoch, zumal der Rohstoffeinsatz hierfür recht günstig ist. Andere Speisen waren im Preis- Leistungsverhältnis überzeugender, aber auch nicht gerade günstig!

All in all it was OK. We were there with a larger group and had to wait a relatively long time for the food. When it came to cashing, it was also a bit of a tough process, as only one service person came to cash and then had problems. Unfortunately the food wasn't anything special but it tasted okay.

outrageous reception! We saw that there were still plenty of free spaces in the store. Asked for a table for 4. We were told if we didn't have a reservation then the place would be full. We then booked a table through Open Table and went back 10 minutes later. We were then very rudely given the table right next to the door. When we asked the staff, we were told that the boss would be informed and would come to us straight away. Nothing happened. Food was okay, but the theater wasn't worth it.

Zünftiges Ambiente, ging alles ratz faz, Hammer wieviel Servicepersonal, alle sehr freundlich. Essen sehr große Portionen, auch wenn es erst nicht danach aussieht. Etwas zu warm und durch so viele Gäste laut, erinnert an Bierzelt. Aber so soll es ja sein.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen da. Jedes einzelne Essen war super lecker. Sehr gute Fleischqualität. Der Service war erste Klasse, sehr freundlich, geduldig und aufmerksam.

No star deserved!!! We called on a Thursday evening to reserve a table for 4 an hour later. It was stated on the phone that no reservations could be made spontaneously, but that we could come over spontaneously. When we arrived at the Barfüsser, we were told that there were no free seats left without a reservation. Then why don't you say that on the phone? We got there for free. Absolutely incompetent. We probably won't come back.

Barfüßer is a good choice for German cuisine. You will find a good selection for everyone here. However, the vegetarian offering can be expanded. The food is always tasty. There is home-brewed beer. The beer is one of my favorite beers. You can even purchase kegs for private parties. Unfortunately, the service is my only drawback. The food never arrives together. I've been to Barfüsser dozens of times now and often with larger groups. The food has never come in such a way that you could start together as a group.

The best shank in all of Germany. Congratulations also to the staff, kind, quick in service, and thoughtful. Definitely a place to recommend with eyes closed. Correct prices.

online Tischreservierung hat gut geklappt, bei Bemerkung habe ich angegeben, dass 1 Hund mitkommt. War auch kein Problem, dass 1 Person mehr mitkam, wurde schnell noch ein Stuhl organisiert. Schnelle, nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung. Getränke gingen schnell, Essen ein bisschen länger, aber es war auch komplett voll. Hat alles gut geschmeckt und war frisch zubereitet. Gerne wieder.

Terrible service by a chubby lady! It was such a bad experience and disappointing meal. Not only service is bad, the food is unexpectedly low quality. After trying the Paulaner and Ochs’n Willi, the pork knuckle can’t be named pork knuckle here. The pork chop too is so thinly sliced and no taste. Everything is tasteless. The only good thing is the beer serve is really good.

We were in Ulm for two days and ate there on both days. The quality of the food was very good, the beer was great. We were particularly impressed by the service - impeccable - despite the size of the restaurant! Absolute recommendation!

The yeast wheat was good. Ham tarte flambée tastes good, a white version would be interesting with a few herbs on the side, it's not supposed to be pizza. The Kaiserschmarrn was rather weak: little flavor and relatively dry, pre-made?!? Dust off the decorations and add extra sound-absorbing elements in the room would also be appropriate!

Bei mir in der Bowl kamen 3 Knochen raus, nicht sehr appetitlich. Die nette Bedienung hat zwar einen Kaffee als Entschuldigung gebracht aber das Essen konnte ich leider nicht genießen.

Waren heute mit unseren Kindern und Enkel im Restaurant. Wir sind freundlich empfangen worden, bekamen einen schönen Tisch und haben gut gegessen. Alles top

Ate at Barfüsser on the way through. Experienced an outstanding, super friendly service, even though the restaurant was full inside and out. The food was delicious, as is typical for a brewery. We had knuckle and Swabian plate. The bread dumpling was far from fluffy and the forest mushroom sauce on the Swabian plate was more of a champion sauce. But everything still tasted good. The coleslaw is really perfect.

Actually a good shop with delicious beer and food. We came in in the evening and the service unfortunately approached us quite directly several times. Greeting was "there's no more food"... OK, just wanted a drink anyway. I then ordered a special and wanted a beer with it, but he immediately interrupted me with "No" (he probably meant we wanted to order something to eat). He also didn't like the fact that we wanted to order the sample package and said "Great, then our colleagues will be happy again" You immediately feel welcome. If you are in Ulm, you should definitely visit the Barfüsser brewery at least once. The selection of food and drinks is plentiful. The prices are at a medium high level. The food was good, the place was nice. But unfortunately, it took 50 minutes for the waiter to come to us. We were expecting to have desert and at least one more drink after the main dishes, but after taking the first 50 minutes to get to us, we decided against it.
