A lively and happening café/restaurant that really shines on weekends. It gets absolutely packed during brunch hours, so a reservation is a must if you want a guaranteed spot. The owner is incredibly friendly, and the overall service feels warm and welcoming. The food was solid across the board. The pumpkin soup was hearty and comforting with a subtle hint of ginger. The bread served alongside the breakfast dishes was delicious and fresh. The scrambled eggs, however, were unfortunately cooked to death. The absolute standout was the tiramisu cake – rich, luscious mascarpone cream layered with strong coffee-soaked ladyfingers. Truly exceptional and worth coming back for on its own. Prices are very reasonable for Munich, which makes the experience even better. The only downside: it gets extremely loud, making conversation a bit challenging unless you're willing to raise your voice. All in all, a vibrant brunch spot with great vibes, friendly service, and a tiramisu you shouldn’t miss.

My favourite brunch place in town at the moment!! Food is nourishing and satisfying. I love the salad couscous bowls, every single one I tried was amazing- salmon, grilled oyster mushrooms, and aubergine. Coffee is excellent and so see the fresh juices, so I always order both. There are no high chairs for kids but the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Like everyone else, I absolutely love going here for breakfast. Reservations are highly recommended, or you have to arrive super early. I've had mixed experiences with the wait times: once I waited almost two hours for a table, and another time I was seated right away. The food can take ages to arrive, but it's always very fresh and delicious, so it's definitely worth it. What's a definite downside is the rather aggressive way a blonde woman at the register asks for a tip, constantly asking, "Would you like to add something?"

We went for brunch with my friend this weekend. We had a reservation between 12:30 and 14:00. After we sat down, they told us they would need to move us to another table because a large group was coming. After changing tables, they offered us a Ginger Shot and checked on us regularly. It was a really thoughtful gesture, and we really liked the staff. Breakfast: I don’t think there were many different breakfast options, but it was still delicious ☺️

This place has all the right ingredients for a great time: good service, a pleasant atmosphere, and tasty food. The portions could be a bit larger, but overall everything was enjoyable. I had the salmon bowl and the tiramisu for dessert — both were delicious, and I definitely recommend trying the tiramisu. Last time, we added one more person to our reservation and it wasn’t a problem at all — in fact, the owner was very considerate and made sure we had a good table for four. I highly recommend this place

This bar is perfect for a brunch or a coffe break. Food is yummy, healthy and not too expensive. The atmosphere is cozy and the design is very stylish. Plus, the owner and the waiters are very nice and make you feel at home. Highly recommended :)

Great little cafe! The espresso was solid, the eggs were good, and the pomegranate seeds were a unique touch on the croissant. There was no room on the main side so they took us across the street but the service was still very accommodating.

I've been here so many times because the price-performance ratio is extremely good. The food is incredibly delicious, whether it's the brunch options or hearty meals, and of high quality. The service is extremely friendly, personal, and fast. The atmosphere in the cafe is inviting. My favorite brunch spot!

We, two people, were escorted out after 1.5 hours, even though we were still eating. We had ordered a sum total of around €60, so not just one drink. The employee was very attentive and friendly - unfortunately, the manager was not. Fortunately, there are plenty of excellent restaurants in Munich where you can finish your meal in peace.

Service is really nice & efficient. Food is affordable & yummy with big portion sizes. A good spot for daydrinking when the weather is nice. However, be careful: on weekends it can get very crowded and you might have to wait for a table even after booking.

The one next door is by far my favorite restaurant in Maxvorstadt. I've been here with my parents, in-laws, friends, and on my own, and not only has everyone always found something on the menu that appealed to them, but everyone has always been truly happy with their meal. The interior is decorated in a way that makes you feel at home. The chef often greets and farewells you personally, always has time for a chat, and stops by every table to check everyone's happy. My go-to dish and favorite is the bowl with couscous, beetroot salad, and goat cheese, but I've also tried the pumpkin lasagna, a risotto, leek noodles, the curry, and the pizza, and everything is truly delicious (and affordable). Highly recommended :)

I've been to this place for the first time and regret not having discovered it sooner. My friend had a Quattro fromaggi that was absolutely delicious. We also tried their cakes that were very tasty. Very friendly owner, staff, and lovely atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!

We've been coming to Nebenan regularly for years – sometimes several times a month, sometimes even several times a week. And for good reason: The salads are among the best in town. We especially love the seasonal variations – whether with watermelon, nectarines, or other fresh ideas – always surprising, always perfectly seasoned. But it's not just the food: The team is simply fantastic. Everyone who works here is attentive, friendly, fast, and seems to genuinely enjoy their job. The place runs like clockwork – totally well-coordinated and always with a great atmosphere. Barry is an institution in his own right, but everyone else also makes Nebenan something special. For us, it's long been more than just a café or restaurant – it's become our second home.

One of the best restaurants in Munich. Delicious and reasonably priced. Service is a top priority here. You really feel at home. The salads and pizza are particularly outstanding. Berry, the owner, truly understands customer service. I've even celebrated a birthday here for 20p. I had a reservation outside, but since it was raining, the inside area was spontaneously cleared. I'm always happy to come back.

Four of us went for breakfast on Sunday morning and had made a reservation. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone enjoyed the drinks as well. Everything was super easy, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We immediately felt at home. Especially on weekends, I would definitely recommend making a reservation. Overall, a truly fantastic breakfast that I highly recommend. We'd definitely be back.

Good food, but the boss treats the employees very poorly, which negatively impacts the atmosphere. I won't be coming here again. It's a real shame that they treat their employees like this.

Ridiculous service! Ordered a proper coffee and meal and just opened my laptop when the waiter came in saying this is “not a working space”. Barely used the laptop and was asked to “close it”. Food is also mediocre with a bunch of honey mustard on top and lacking flavour. Store was more than empty anyway, also didn’t ask for wifi or plugs or anything when this all happened. Nowhere in the store was it written either. What a wonderful way to chase away customers in a good location.

Treat yourself to some time out inside or outside and enjoy the incredibly delicious dishes and drinks. The team is incredibly friendly and dedicated to your every need. Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to return anytime.

We had a spritz with friends. The place is nice, and they have an outdoor terrace. The cocktails are not very expensive but neither so good. Overall is a nice experience because of the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but would not recommend for the drinks themselves

The one next door has the potential to become a favorite bar for after-work drinks. The beer garden is absolutely beautiful, and the ambiance inside also has a great feel-good factor. The prices are absolutely reasonable and below the (far too high) Munich average; please keep them that way. The food was super delicious and served quickly. The drinks were good too. Unfortunately, we had to wait a very, very long time several times before we could order again, as no one came out or came to our table, even though there was enough staff. One employee even said, "Sorry, everyone seems totally unmotivated today." That's certainly not something you should tell your guests ;) I'll be back anyway!!

We were here for brunch on Sunday morning with 11 people, and despite the busy crowd (very popular on Sundays!), everyone received our generous and beautiful portions in good time. There was nothing wrong with the food overall, although my pumpkin was a bit too salty for me. I particularly remember the cheerful and attentive staff. I'd love to go back :)

The food was great, the service was very friendly and warm and the quality and performance were just right. I ended my birthday here and was very happy to have been there that day. We spontaneously went there for dinner. It was incredibly loud and very crowded. When the server brought drinks to the next table, you had to watch out for elbows. The employee asked us if everything was okay, even though we hadn't even gotten the menu yet. The employee who brought our drinks (0.2 l Coke for €4??) spilled a lot of my energy water, but didn't bring any towels to dry the table. I have food allergies and asked about it. Unfortunately, it took 20 minutes and three inquiries to the employee before I finally got an answer. At this point, we were about to leave. The food came very quickly, but unfortunately the portions were very small. There was only one toilet per gender, and the women's had such loose fittings that you could hardly turn on the water, and the soap was also empty. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be going back.

Absolutely recommend! All the bowls are so delicious, there are many vegan options, and everything always tastes super fresh! I don't know how many times I've been here (see photos)... my favorite is the salad bowl with grilled pumpkin. The dressing and bread are so delicious, and for that price, you can't usually get a bowl like that in Munich! Be sure to make a reservation in the evening, as it's always very busy. Vegan cakes would be great too :)

If you want something healthy and good to eat in Munich, this is your choice. They have an indoor dining room and an outdoor terrace, also suitable for groups. I gave it a 4 because the service was really slow, but the food was very good.
