Excellent food of excellent quality in a beautiful atmosphere. I would love to come back there again.

Wir waren als Familie im Locks zum Mittagessen. Es war sehr gut besucht, dennoch war der Service sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zügig. Das Essen war lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

The meat was tough, but so tough!! lamb. Totally over-salted Brussels sprouts. Vegetarian salad... looked like it came out of a bag... Food and prices don't match at all. Service... 😏

Wir haben uns sehr auf den 88. Geburtstag meines Vaters gefreut und sind extra mit elf Personen angereist, veinihe von uns hunderte Kilometer weit. Leider wurde der Tag zu einem katastrophalen Erlebnis. Das Essen war durchweg schlecht – egal ob Fleisch, Fisch oder Salat, alles war komplett versalzen und ungenießbar. Nicht ein Gericht konnte überzeugen. Am schlimmsten war jedoch der Service. Die Kellnerin war unaufmerksam, überfordert und in ihrer Art unhöflich. Die Wartezeiten waren lang, und als wir auf die Probleme hingewiesen haben, eskalierte die Situation völlig. Vor der gesamten Geburtstagsgesellschaft wurde ich von der Kellnerin lautstark beschimpft. Selbst als ich sie bat, das Gespräch abseits zu führen, weigerte sie sich und wollte offensichtlich, dass alle Anwesenden die Szene mitbekommen. Erst die Supervisorin schaltete sich ein und versuchte, die Situation zu beruhigen, aber der Abend war natürlich schon ruiniert. Bei einer Rechnung von 530 Euro bleibt uns nun nur ein bitterer Nachgeschmack. Dass das Essen nicht geschmeckt hat, haben wir uns nicht mal mehr getraut anzusprechen, aus Angst, erneut beschimpft zu werden. Alles in allem ein desaströses Erlebnis, das wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden – leider aus den falschen Gründen.

We were really looking forward to my father's 88th birthday and were there with eleven people, some of us from hundreds of kilometers away. Unfortunately, the day turned into a disastrous experience. The food was consistently bad - whether it was meat, fish or salad, everything was completely over salted and of a low standard. Not one dish or dessert was convincing. But the worst thing was the service. The waitress was inattentive, overwhelmed and extremely rude in a manner that I have never experienced in my life. The waiting times were long, and when we pointed out the problems, the situation escalated completely. I was loudly insulted by the waitress in front of the entire birthday party. Even when I asked her to have the conversation away, she refused, obviously wanting everyone present to witness the scene. It was only the supervisor who intervened and tried to calm the situation, but of course the day was already ruined. With a bill of 530 euros, all we're left with is a bitter aftertaste. We didn't even dare to mention that the food wasn't tasty for fear of being insulted again. All in all, a disastrous experience that we won't soon forget - unfortunately for the wrong reasons.

Good food, good service, nice ambience. However, the prices are awesome!

Wonderful atmosphere, but as a professional I know that the kitchen has room for improvement. Much more is possible in this price range! You won't be able to compete with the restaurants in Dubai or Paris where I learned, but it was still acceptable.

The restaurant is very nice and in a nice location. The cobwebs at the top of the windows are not so nice. Unfortunately, the service was not particularly polite or accommodating. I've had much better experiences in this price range. I also don't think the extra charge for the bread is reasonable. Too bad The food was very tasty.

We were completely satisfied, there was very tasty food, nice rooms and a really friendly service staff member who was responsible for us. There was a separate room for our celebration, with its own cloakroom and toilets, which was a big advantage. Absolutely recommended.

Excellent lunch, great creme brulee... Since this meal was a gift, I didn't pay attention to the prices... But I did take a quick look at the drinks menu, the price for mineral water is outrageously high... the announcement, his Hanging the coat on the coat rack was a bit tiring... not everyone empties their pockets quickly...

Very good restaurant with little room for improvement. In the run-up to Christmas we always go to the Dorfkrug in Volksdorf to eat duck. Unfortunately our reservation was canceled this year, so we needed a replacement at short notice. In “The Locks” we have found a worthy alternative. You can easily reserve online here and the food was on the same level - very tasty! The service was quick and friendly. A little suggestion: If the guests are deep in conversation, you can serve the drinks more subtly. But that is criticism at a very high level. Furthermore, we felt very comfortable here and had a lovely evening.

Caesar salad with sparse ingredients, hardly any parmesan and boring yoghurt sauce - and that for €18... The ambience and service were OK, but THAT was value for money at the worst level.

Pleasant atmosphere with great food. We were particularly impressed by the schnitzel. The staff is very professional.

Die letzten beiden Besuche waren gegenüber früher sehr enttäuschend. So fiel auf, dass kein Brot mit Butter o.ä. angeboten wurde. Die Gerichte (nicht gerade preiswert) wurden auf Tellern nicht gerade liebevoll serviert. Früher waren die Gerichte phantasievoll und etwas Besonderes. Das kann ich nicht mehr feststellen. Der Burger war trocken, es wurde nicht einmal nachgefragt, wie das Fleisch gebraten sein soll. Ja, und noch etwas: eine Pfeffermühle sollte immer auf einem Tisch stehen. Das ist eine Selbstverständlichkeit! Alles in allem: nicht mehr zufriedenstellend. Schade, Poppenbüttel braucht gute Gastronomie.

Food and service was good. But somehow not a unique selling point. So there wasn't this effect that made you want to come back. We had the duck for 2 people.

Nice restaurant right on the Alster river. Nice and cozy atmosphere, but the noise level was a bit too loud for us (acoustic). The service was polite, friendly and very diligent. When it came to the choice of drinks and food, there was something for everyone, deliciously prepared and attractively presented. Unfortunately, a piece of plastic packaging was found in one of the main courses - this was complained about without any problems and was professionally compensated for with a dessert. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we have to change our previously very positive opinion. We've always enjoyed staying here, but a lot has changed recently. Of course, the increased prices – a schnitzel now costs €33 and duck almost €40 – can be explained by the general cost increases. However, the quality must not suffer. Unfortunately, the duck was hardly edible: the skin was completely flaky and the portions were noticeably small for the price. Significant savings were also made on the side dishes. We also noticed that there was no longer a bread basket, as was common in the past. This also seems to be an innovation. A bright spot, however, was the dessert, which saved the evening a little, as did the usual friendly service. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend reconsidering the price-performance policy. It would be a real shame if Locks were only remembered for its great cuisine.

Ich war mit Freunden um die Mittagszeit im Locks. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Essen war unterirdisch. Die Burger entweder bis zur Versteinerung durchgebraten oder roh. Die Poularde ebenfalls nicht auf den Punkt zubereitet. Alles in allem kein Besuch wert!!!

It was super super delicious! Gladly again, the staff was also very accommodating.

The food was good, but only partially worth the price. We had goat cheese and César salad with lamb, the prices for these are exorbitant, I can't rate the rest. I can certainly rate the service and unfortunately it doesn't fit at all with what the restaurant wants to be or once was - upper class. The service was slow, inattentive and disinterested. Every drink (re)order came only after searching and ultimately calling out to the waitress - empty glasses were ignored or simply not seen. If there was a repeat order, unfortunately that wasn't the end... There were waiting times of 20 minutes for 2 hefeweizens. About the ambience: maybe we were just unlucky, but the table at the back on the left had a “fly problem”. In the 3+ hours we sat there we killed about 10 fruit flies... that got pretty annoying at some point. The friendly tip to service didn't help, but showed that she knew about it. But the restaurant doesn't seem to want to stop it. In total around €70 per person and very dissatisfied… I didn't think it was recommendable. Too bad

Addendum 10/24. Invited again. The impression described below has clearly increased for me. Meanwhile, the service is also slow: ordering takes 30 minutes. Food went back. I will avoid it in the future. Why 2 stars? Location is nice. That would be it. Also read what visitors post on TripAdvisor. That's it. Before 10/24: What does Locks stand for? What should the “USP” be? After a total of four visits (at the invitation of third parties), my personal conclusion is: food is okay, but nothing more. My personal impression is that these could consist largely of prefabricated products? The price no longer matches that. I know much better in the price range in Hamburg. In my opinion, the ambience is arbitrary and in some cases clearly outdated. Unlike other reviews, I had consistently positive experiences with the service. In the end the question remains, why should I go there?

Overbearing, arrogant and not service oriented.

A restaurant that you can recommend without hesitation. The cuisine is more upscale. You can also see this in the service and the prices. There are both meat and fish dishes. During our stay at "The Locks" we had tuna, zander and veal schnitzel. All dishes were very nicely prepared and tasted of a good standard. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant and are warmly welcomed.

Service has deteriorated greatly. 40 minutes until you get a card, another 25 minutes until you are served the drinks. It's unclear which waiter serves which table. After ordering, food (salads) take another 50 minutes to arrive at the table. The restaurant was very empty for a Saturday and yet it took so long. This wouldn't be an issue if the waiters were at least friendly. It's a shame, otherwise pretty good food.

I have been twice to this restaurant and the experiences could not have been more different. The first time was fantastic: excellent food - traditional ingredients with a wonderful twist. The staff is very nice and helpful and the restaurant beautiful with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The second time the food was rather tasteless; In addition, there is only a small choice of vegetarian dishes.

It has always been a pleasure to come for 20 years, but unfortunately it has declined significantly over the last year. There are no more twister fries and the normal fries don't taste good. The schnitzel is also just mediocre. Too bad!

Very nice atmosphere and nice service. Unfortunately, the food doesn't justify the very high prices. The pike-perch fillet was nicely presented on the chanterelles, but overall the taste was very boring. Unfortunately, the high prices suggest a significantly higher quality. A pity! We also found the drinks to be quite overpriced. Conclusion for us... unfortunately it's not worth it.

After a bike ride on the Alster hiking trail we stopped there. The food was very good, I had the hamburger from the bar menu. Large patty and a decent portion of fries. It's very expensive but also very good. Unfortunately, the music at the bar was very loud at some point and it was difficult to have a conversation, so one star was deducted from the ambience.

2 years ago it was still an acceptable location. Today we went there to eat again for months. Price-performance no longer matches. Forgot the bread in advance, the Wienerschnitzel was rather mediocre, and otherwise there was no feeling that you were welcome. Therefore we will not be coming back! There is much better.

The food was tasty. But very Highly priced, zander fillet with side dish: €32 I think 0.4 l Königspilsener for €6.50 somewhat exaggerated.

Our rediscovery. How could it happen that this beautiful restaurant fell out of our sight? We are back and have just enjoyed a delicious pike perch fillet and a wonderful veal schnitzel. Very attentive and friendly service, on a beautiful terrace, and with nice guests.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We were there for the first time. We were greeted in an unreasonably unfriendly manner by a lady with a strong accent (I add this so that the boss who may be reading this will speak to her). We got a place in the corner and wanted to sit outside, the lady said that wasn't possible because it had rained earlier. There were easily 20 people sitting outside. Apparently they are no longer served. As we sat at our table in the corner, I saw people outside being served by the lady herself who said there was no service outside! Then I let her come, she justified herself by saying that people had been sitting there for so long, etc. And she spoke very disrespectfully. I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant. The starter was okay 5/10 the burgers were terrible 2/10. Unfortunately, an hour after the burger, which I only took two bites of because it tasted strange, I got diarrhea. All in all, NEVER AGAIN

I have been here several times in the last few years. And my conclusion would be that while prices have increased significantly, quality and service have decreased. You still get good food and good service, but at relatively high prices (and not very good food).

In terms of taste, considering the price, it's as good as expected. However, various dishes on the menu were not available, which was very irritating and made it difficult to choose the right dish. The service was nice, but very inattentive, despite the restaurant's low occupancy.

Nice location. The interior is a bit old. Overall average service and average food quality. However, the prices are completely inflated and disproportionately high. €23 for a cheeseburger and a mini portion of fries is completely unjustified. If this were made with a little more finesse and in a special way, then maybe, but it is an absolutely average burger.... 🍔 , which is also not particularly big.

We were there for dinner yesterday. After we were escorted to the table, we didn't see the waiter for 30 minutes. We got the menu ourselves and eventually placed the order. Then we waited for what felt like an eternity for our order, which wasn't quite correct and wasn't delivered at the same time. To top off the evening, we were charged for a bottle of wine on top of our actual order, which we didn't order. The food was great, but unfortunately that's not all when visiting a restaurant. Don't go there again so quickly. A pity.

Wir waren viele Jahre Stammgäste. Leider hat sich vieles sehr geändert. Der Service ist, je nachdem an wen man gerät, sehr schlecht. Heute wollten wir einen Tisch auf der Terrasse vor dem Restaurant, weil es dort am schattigsten war. Es war 18 Uhr. Es waren nur sehr wenige Tische besetzt. Ich hatte explizit um einen schattigen Platz gebeten. Es wurde uns ein Tisch in der Sonne angeboten mit der Aussage alle Tische wären ab 17 Uhr besetzt. Aber es war doch schon 18 Uhr!?!? Wir hatten auch gesagt, dass wir nur ca. eine Stunde bleiben, trotzdem durften wir uns nicht an einen der Schattenplätze setzen. Wir sind wieder gegangen und haben Locks als ehemaliges Stammlokal, in dem wir jede Woche gegessen haben, gestrichen.

Wir wollten nach der Arbeit, bei 29 Grad, uns ins Looks, an einem schattigen Platz erholen, etwas kleines Essen und Trinken für ca. 1 Stund. Es war 18:00 Uhr und mind. 10 Tische waren frei. Man sagte uns aber, ab 17:00 Uhr sei alles reserviert. Bei Nachfrage, es sei doch schon 18:00 Uhr, bot man uns einen der wenigen Plätze in der Sonne an! Wir waren jahrelange im Looks, und jetzt war es das letzte Mal!

We happened to pass by while walking and wanted something to drink and eat. There wasn't much going on on the terrace, so we went in to register or ask if we could just sit outside. The waiter looked at us in surprise and said “yes”. So we looked for a place outside and after about 15 minutes of waiting we actually wanted to get up and leave when a waiter came around the corner. So we stayed and asked for a menu that might have more dishes because we only found a kind of cocktail menu with drinks and a few small dishes at our seats. The waiter then just said “Isn’t that enough for you?” We didn’t know how to react to that and asked again if there would be more dishes and then finally got the “big” menu from a seemingly annoyed waiter and left. We first had to classify the situation and then we were really angry about being treated like that and decided not to leave a cent here. There are definitely plus points for the beautiful location and the ambience, but none of that is of any use with such miserable service. So if you value good service, you're not in good hands there.

Absolutely great location, so we stopped here for coffee and cake on our canoe tour. The cakes and tarts looked very appealing, but unfortunately they were not of high quality in terms of taste. The service went.

The location is of course beautiful and there are plenty of parking spaces nearby. However, the terrace was closed due to a lack of staff. A pity. We were there on a sunny Sunday and wanted something to eat. We didn't reserve a table for 4 and were rudely informed (by the restaurant management) that the restaurant is not allowed to accept guests without a reservation. So far so good. Just for fun, we looked in the car to see if we could reserve a table online. And lo and behold: it worked. So we went back to the restaurant to see the same employee. She either acted like she didn't know who we were or forgot about us. She asked us again if we had a reservation, to which we replied in the affirmative. And then we were sitting at the table. We felt a bit ripped off because in our opinion it's not customer focused. As always, good communication would have helped. Our waitress, on the other hand, was super nice and provided top service. As I said, the atmosphere is really nice. But location isn't everything and doesn't justify every price. I have no problem spending money on good food, but the prices are really absurdly high. Price-performance doesn't fit here. The food wasn't first class enough for that. In addition, there are almost no vegetarian and certainly no vegan dishes, which I haven't seen in Hamburg for two years.

I've always loved eating at Locks. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has fluctuated a lot lately. Unfortunately not so good again today. For less money, lower quality would be perfectly fine. Unfortunately, the price does not fluctuate downwards. I don't want to go into details here because otherwise it was always very good for a long time. I hope my criticism is well received by the management and things will get better soon. Unfortunately, I would actually prefer another alternative nearby. It's really a shame... Very good food - nice staff and great location. Rather expensive.

Always a wonderful place to enjoy a good wine with delicious food. When the weather is nice, it's really wonderful outside in the middle of the countryside! Parking is also usually available. Recommendation also for great long drinks and one After-work visit.

The food was good, but the service was very bad. At times it was very loud.

Wir waren früher sehr gerne im Locks, bei Mittagstisch oder auch bei Familienfeiern. Die letzten beiden Male haben aber dazugeführt, daß wir dort nicht mehr hingehen werden. So wurde z.B. das Brot mit Dip vergessen, ich hatte für mich ein kleines Bier bestellt und ein Glas Wein für meine Frau, da fragte der "Kellner" was denn meine Frau trinken möchte. Beim letzten Besuch lief nach der Suppe ein junger Kellner mit Tranchiermesser und Wetzstab herum und versuchte, dieses stumpfe Gerät zu schärfen, was aber wohl nicht gelang. Entsrechend "katschelte" er dann an dem Entrecot für zwei Personen herum und stellte dann noch die Frage: "Hatten sie nicht medium bestellt?" Da ich auch rohes Fleisch mag, bekam meine Frau das etwas mehr gebratene. Fazit: Beide Besuche entsprachen in Bezug auf Preis und Leistung überhaupt nicht. Dort werden wir kein Geld mehr in die Kasse bringen

Das Essen ist wirklich klasse. Zwar etwas wenig für die Preise, aber ok. Warum wir dort nicht mehr hingehen, ist, dass wir eine 2 stündige Vorgabe zum Essen bekommen. Nein danke. So möchten wir einen schönen Abend nicht gestalten.

What a disgrace: we looked up the opening times on the Locks website (Monday kitchen until 9 p.m., open until midnight [!]) and were left at 8:35 p.m. without explanation and quite annoyed by the employee rejected. We knew exactly what we wanted to eat, but she didn't care. Apparently things can't be as bad for restaurateurs in Hamburg as they always portray in the press. Apparently Locks doesn't need guests after 8 p.m. We will draw conclusions from this and avoid Locks in the future just as you avoid later guests, even though we have enjoyed visiting the restaurant often in the past, despite the longer journey for us (Winterhude). As a reminder, dear Locks owner and employee: 8:30 p.m. is dinner time in the UK and not too late, as your employee said. We wish all pensioners and prematurely aging guests who like to go out to eat at 5:30 p.m. a good appetite - Locks is the right place for you. Addendum from April 28, 2024: Tuesday 2 weeks ago we tried again and were told at 8:30 p.m. the kitchen was closed. Mr. Petersen (owner) apparently you don't need any more customers. Go on like that.

We came here for dinner after my daughter's confirmation, as every visit to Locks has been impressive so far. Again this time. Thanks for that. Service is professional, friendly, reserved and at the same time careful. Food as usual with high standards. You can really relax and enjoy. In addition, it is beautifully located at the Alster lock. The main course, salmon on asparagus and light sauce with red fish eggs, was delicious to eat. 16 meals almost at the same time and at a good temperature. Thumbs up. Always very happy.

Wir waren in der Vergangenheit gerne als Familie hier, die letzte Preiserhöhung mit zeitgleicher Verkleinerung vieler Gerichte ist jedoch schlicht frech und nicht mehr hinnehmbar. Eine Kinderpasta für 13€ umfasst genau 3 (!) Löffel. Die Hauptgang Pasta mit scampi für mittlerweile 30€ ebenfalls klein und auch nicht besonders schmackhaft. Die Hauptgang Falafel bestenfalls die Größe einer Vorspeise. Obwohl wir Vorspeisen und Hauptgänge hatten und keine großen Esser sind waren wir nicht wirklich satt, aber dafür 145€ ärmer - für 2 Kinder und 2 Erwachsene ohne Wein.

Even though I had made a reservation a long time ago, we only found out from a sign on the front door that the restaurant would close 2 hours after we arrived. 2 hours would be enough, although we would have liked more time. But the service took a lot of time. We only got our first drinks after half an hour and after repeated requests. It was only when we ordered late that we were told that the main course we had chosen was sold out. When I asked when ordering whether there would be enough time for a dessert, the service became rude. She wouldn't like to miss out on the celebration that followed. The food was good. Very nice place, service was a bit slow but worth waiting as place and food were really good.

0.4 liters of cola: €7. Seven. 17.5€/litre. I think that's a bit too bold. Unfortunately there were no vegan cakes, so I was the only one who didn't get anything. Personally, I'll steer clear next time.

Food was ok, nothing special. What really bothered me was that my husband couldn't change our daughters on site. It was said that the mother had to do this because the changing facilities were in the women's toilet. Unfortunately I don't understand that.

Went to this restaurant while in the area on business with colleagues for dinner. On entry the restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere. and the staff were friendly and very attentive throughout our stay. I ordered crispy baked corn chicken with accompanying spicy mayo, coleslaw and soy dressing and for main I ordered Veal Schnitzel with fried potatoes. The food was really nice, the veal portion was huge, all well presented and tasted great. I have been here before and will return if in the area and recommend to others.

Ok but not great. We ordered Duck in a tempura batter Asien style. Duck legs were dry with a little rice and vegetables in soy sauce. Nothing special. For the daily set menu and the price of 32 Eur simply too expensive.

It is very unpleasant that you have to sit in the dark paneled middle area to drink coffee and eat cake. The beautiful sunlight on the empty window tables is only for guests having lunch or dinner there. Reason: the snippy service staff: the boss forbids it because cleaning the tablecloth is too expensive for people who only eat coffee and cake. The very last. Apparently the idea of ​​putting the tablecloths down later doesn't come to mind. I can only advise against visiting because the coffee was bitter and sour.

Very nice restaurant with good service. However, due to its size, it is correspondingly loud. The starter, a carpaccio, was excellent. The main course should be tomato spaghetti with shrimp. The pasta was drowned in a thick, heavy, unbalanced tomato sauce or rather paste which completely drowned the shrimp. A pity.

Ambience good when it's not too crowded. It was surprisingly empty. After looking at the menu, I realized why. Really expensive and generous portions. Viennese veal schnitzel, a little too small, €33 The smallest steak was €44. Even though it was a business lunch and I didn't have to pay for it, it wasn't appropriate. The food tasted good but nothing more. A pity

Das Essen entspricht meist nicht dem Preis und Qualität schwankt sehr (Burger bspw. fad, Kalb zu Silvester hingegen top); Service geht gar nicht: viel zu wenig Service-Kräfte, Aushilfen schlecht eingearbeitet (können keine Fragen beantworten, Platzieren Gäste falsch, man muss dann selbst seine Getränke umräumen..hab ich auch noch nicht erlebt!). Schließen uns anderen aktuellen Rezensionen an: Mehr Schein als Sein, Preis passt nicht zur Leistung - werden nach mehreren Chancen nicht mehr hingehen.

Leider hat sich für mich der zur Jahresmitte festgestellte qualitative Abwärtstrend des Essens bestätigt. Das Filet zwar hervorragend medium/well doch beide gewählten Saucen fade und fast schon ohne Geschmack. Das Fleisch hatte einen unangenehmen Beigeschmack, wie schon 2 x zuvor seit Sommer 2023. Schade!

Schöne Adresse, gleich am Alsterlauf. Besonders bei schönem Wetter zu empfehlen.

Wir waren am 1 Weihnachtstag mit 10 Personen zum Gans essen . Wir hatten 2 Gänse für 8 Per . ( 4 Männer und 4 Frauen ) das Essen war sehr lecker - leider waren die Gänse ( für 230 € ) sehr klein . Wir sind nicht satt geworden - es wäre schön gewesen wenn man vorher erfahren hätte das es kleine Gänse sind dann hätte man noch eine dritte genommen . Wobei ich bei dem Preis von ausgegangen bin das es 2 große sind . Die Bedienung waren sehr gestresst , es war auch viel los . Unser Faszit ist : zu diesem Preis werden wir es nächstes Jahr woanders probieren uns war es zu teuer - für das wenige Essen. Schade

Schönes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen. Aufmerksames Personal.

Das Essen war durchweg ein Genuss. Die Beratung für eine geplante Familienfeier war enttäuschend. Es gibt keine zweite Chance für einen ersten Eindruck. Daher werden wir es bei diesem Besuch belassen und lieber anderweitig einkehren. Der Kellner war freundlich und guter Dinge. Für die übrigen Beschäftigten gilt: Schlecht gelauntes und nicht sonderlich geschäftstüchtiges Personal gibts auch „billiger.“

Sehr lecker, bei mindestens zwei Gerichten aber auch sehr wenig. Bei den Spaghetti mit Garnelen hätten es ruhig mehr Spaghetti sein dürfen und bei den Hirschmedaillons mit Knödeln und Salzpflaumen sind zwei recht kleine Medaillons vielleicht ok, vier kleine geviertelte Salzpflaumen und zwei sehr kleine Klöße aber für 30 Euro nicht angemessen. Klar, wir hatten keine Vorspeise, aber für 40 Euro inkl. Dessert wäre ich gerne satter geworden. Und jetzt komme mir keiner mit Wareneinsatz. Da machen größere Knödel und mehr Salzpflaumen nämlich nicht so viel aus. Insofern war es heute etwas schade. Aber lecker.

Das Abendessen (Kürbissuppe, Wiener Schnitzel, Mousse au chocolat) war im Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis unbefriedigend. Die Kürbissuppe sehr dickflüssig, das Schnitzel mit ein paar Bratkartoffeln als Beilage sehr schlicht und das Mousse au chocolat vermutlich ein Convenience-Produkt. Die Preise passen so gar nicht zur mittelmäßigen Küche (allein für ein gewöhnliches Schnitzel mit etwas Beilage € 29,50 zu nehmen ist in diesem Fall unverschämt). Der Service war lahm und einigermaßen freundlich. Zusammengefasst haben wir aber mehr als zwei Stunden nur mit warten auf den jeweils nächsten Gang verbracht. Das Ambiente ist gewöhnlich und die Tische stehen so dicht beieinander, dass man zwangsläufig die Gespräche am Nebentisch mitbekommt. Insgesamt eine herbe Enttäuschung und ein weiterer Beleg dafür, dass hohe Preise nicht auf eine gute Restaurantqualität schließen können. Kein Grund, hier noch einmal zu essen. Freunden werde ich das Restaurant sicher nicht empfehlen.

Ein tolles Restaurant! Ich habe hier wunderbare Abende verbracht. Das Essen war immer top und gerade die Vorspeisen haben es uns angetan. Ich empfehle das secreto absolut. Der super Service hat dazu geführt, dass ich mich jedes Mal super wohl gefühlt habe! Gerne wieder

Ein gutes Restaurant steht oder fällt mit dem Service…… Bei unserem heutigen Besuch ist uns klar geworden: Dort wollen wir nicht mehr hin! Eine Begleitung von uns wollte dort ihre Weihnachtsfeier abhalten, hat aber auch gesagt das sie dort nicht mit ihren Kollege/innen hin möchte! Das essen war ein Traum, es hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Als Vorspeise gab es die Kürbissuppe. Diese war sehr lecker! Dann wurde der Hauptgang serviert, allerdings war dem eigentlichen Kellner nicht aufgefallen das die Suppenteller noch bei uns standen. Der Hauptgang war dann sehr lecker (Geschnetzeltes)! Als der Nachtisch bestellt war und gegessen waren wir nur noch Luft für den Kellner, eigentlich hätten wir gerne noch einen Kaffee oder Ähnliches gehabt, auch ein weiteres Kaltgetränk war nicht möglich, aber der Kellner lief nur noch an uns vorbei! Selbst die Rechnung haben wir an der Kasse gezahlt da er nicht in der Lage war an den Tisch zu kommen…. Wie gesagt, die Küche war gut, der Service unter aller Sau!

Die Hochtzeitfeier dort war Mega , sehr Gutes Essen und das Personal war sehr Freundlich. Schönes Fachwerk Gebäude das den Carakter der Gemüdlichkeit wieder gibt.
