I recently had the opportunity to visit the Thai restaurant "Bangkok Street Food" in Oberursel. The small self-service shop is located in close proximity to the train station, making it a convenient stop for commuters and travelers. At first glance, the restaurant seemed inviting and the prices seemed quite reasonable, which initially made my expectations positive. Unfortunately, the culinary experience did not live up to this initial anticipation. The centerpiece of my order, the curry, turned out to be a bitter disappointment. Instead of the expected authentic Thai flavor profile, the sauce was more reminiscent of a Japanese curry - an unexpected and not entirely welcome surprise in a Thai restaurant. The texture and appearance were significantly different from what you would typically expect from a Thai curry. The excessive salt content of the curry sauce was particularly disturbing. The overemphasis on salt dominated the entire taste experience. The main ingredients of the dishes didn't convince me either. Both the chicken and the fish suffered from the same problem: they were woefully dry.

Phad Thai was delicious! This place was soooooo good

Very large selection of dishes, there is definitely something for every taste. The service was very friendly, but you have to order at the counter or pre-order. As a starter we had the fried vegetables and the spring rolls, both of which were delicious. So for the main courses we had crispy chicken with garlic, green beans, carrots in a dark pepper sauce and wild salmon with vegetables in red curry. The dishes were prepared very quickly (we waited less than 10 minutes for the starter, the main course came about 10 minutes later), even though it was very busy (around 6:30 p.m.). Without exception, everything was very tasty and the portions were completely sufficient, we were super full. Overall, the prices are moderate and, in my opinion, absolutely reasonable for the food on offer. For me, definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. The ambience is also very nice inside, but unfortunately you're sitting on a main road outside. The only drawback for me is ordering at the counter, I wish I could order at the table, but then it would have been perfect.

We've been there for dinner dozens of times now. All dishes tasted great! My Thai wife has always been thrilled. But now it has subsided significantly. It doesn't taste as good as it did at the beginning. It's a shame actually.

Official opening times until 10:00 p.m., the door sign says until 10:00 p.m., at 9:00 p.m. there was no more hello or good day, just a:, take-away only.' We then left again and won't be coming back.

As you can see from the rating, there is actually nothing to complain about, but there is one thing that annoys me...the price trend over the last few months. As a rule, I go to Oberstedten every 6 weeks and get two portions of Pad Krapao (no one makes it more authentic) but every time in the last few months the dish has become more expensive. Two years ago it was 10.50, then a jump to 12.50 and most recently to 12.80. Today I'm coming to you and now the dish costs 13.20. In the city center of Vienna I would almost understand that but in Oberstedten???? It's a real shame because I always enjoyed eating with you.

Super tasty, very large portions and the crispiest fried bananas. We recommend. Of course you shouldn't expect a star restaurant atmosphere here, but otherwise everything is great and pretty cheap.

Best Thai food in the whole RM area. Something between a restaurant and a snack bar. You have to order yourself and it will then be delivered. But the food tastes just like in Thailand. Unfortunately the food has nothing to do with Thai food! Oversalted, overcooked and not fresh! Meat is prepared in advance and is only made hot - you can taste it in the fridge. The vegetables are similar! Everything was overcooked and no longer tasty. This was the 3rd attempt in the last few months! Bye bye Bangkok street food! I'm never coming back!

Best Thai street food restaurant in Rhine-Main. Loud like Thailand's streets and delicious. My favorite dish is Pad Kra Pao with egg. If you know what you want, you can ignore the killing card. 😂 Great ambience with bar tables, normal tables and outdoor area. A selection of sauces on each table - sambal olek, spicy oil, soy etc. Toilets are also super stylish and clean. The restaurant is also very dog-friendly ☺️

I think pad krapao should be dry. And the card says original. The original is just minced meat, basil, chili, garlic, no beans, no bamboo.

I really enjoy eating here. The food is always delicious and everything is very freshly prepared. Best Thai cuisine with some Thai employees, that's how it has to be. Were there again today and are always thrilled with the dishes. Also super friendly staff and good atmosphere. Everything is delicious, but too much salt

That was my last visit to this "quick restaurant". Today I ordered a street food Peking soup (16) as a starter and the 71 with chicken as a main course. The soup tasted okay. However, I don't know what ingredients are being used in cooking these days. Every fart has the power to temporarily turn off your lights. The main course didn't taste good, it was very salty and the chicken was only available in homeopathic doses. I have enjoyed going to this "restaurant" for several years. With the price adjustments and smaller portions combined with fluctuating quality, I will now be looking for a new Thai. A pity!

Food hit and miss. Good: - Pad Thai. Like in Thailand -Thom Kha. Great flavor OK: - Red curry. There was a lot of salt/fish sauce missing. Luckily I had some at home - Thom Yung was ok. But far from a real one Weak: - 112 vitamin bomb. There is nothing in the description about 50% glass noodles. There are only vegetables there. You feel a bit ripped off. There is a clear saving on ingredients here.

Vegan? Vegetarian? Ordered a Massaman curry and simply got chicken with it without asking. No apology, no demand. The food was simply placed on the table with the sentence: there's nothing you can do about it. No asking if you want something else. What a bad service!

I don't want to criticize the quality of the food at all. This is definitely very good. The atmosphere is that of a good fast food restaurant where it is very cold so you have to sit and eat with a jacket on. If you ask if you can get a little more rice, you will be asked to pay directly. For a bit of rice an outrageous €2.60.

Unfassbar leckeres,authentisches Essen. Super gewürzt,auch ohne Geschmacksverstärker. Portionen riesig und ansprechend angerichtet.Waren heute das erste Mal dort und ab sofort ist das unser neuer Lieblingsladen wenn es um die asiatische/thailändische Küche geht. Ein kleiner Abzug beim Ambiente,weil es wirklich sehr kühl war und gezogen hat. Ansonsten alles tippitoppi 👍🏻

Best Thai restaurant in the Hochtaunus area! The dishes are super aromatic, full of flavour and the portion size is big! I never had a Panaeng Curry like this before, absolutely amazing. The staff was kind and provided us with boxes to take away the leftovers. The prices are affordable and unlike other restaurants one is not pressured to order a drink. I will definitely come back and try out more items from the big menu!

Der beste Thai-Imbiss den ich kenne. Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl an den verschiedensten thailändischen Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen zu fairen Preisen. Die Mitarbeiter sind flexibel, so dass auch Sonderwünsche erfüllt werden. Es gibt drinnen und draußen (nur sehr wenige) Sitzplätze. Dabei kann es zur Mittagszeit schon mal eng werden und im schlimmsten Fall muss man warten bis Plätze frei werden. Aber das zeugt ja von gutem Essen, wenn so viele Leute gerne hier herkommen. Früher bin ich oft mittags von Bad Homburg hierher gefahren. Seit dem es die Niederlassung in Bad Homburg am Bahnhof gibt, esse ich in der Regel dort.

Tolles Eesen,innen eher ungemütlich, da ziemlich viele ihr essen abholen.

Wir sind durch Zufall nach einem IKEA - Einkauf hier gelandet, weil es in der Nähe war. Köttbullars kann ich nicht mehr sehen. :) Kurz vor Ladenschluss (22:00 Uhr) waren wir um 21:30 Uhr dort, bekamen dort noch den vollen Service, wurden freundlich bedient und waren mit dem Essen super zufrieden. Die Vorsuppe (Pekingsuppe) war hervorragend und auch die Hauptgerichte kamen zügig und waren enorm lecker und raffiniert gewürzt. Wir essen sehr gern asiatisch und haben schon viel in der Region gegessen... dieses Bistro ist dabei ganz ganz weit vorn. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr gut für ein Bistro und der Streetfood-Charakter kommt gut zur Geltung, wenn die Köche im Hintergrund auf offener Flamme den Wok schwenken. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier auch und alles in allem würde ich mich freuen, wenn die Inhaber und Köche von so vielen eher mäßigen Restaurants in der Region hier mal essen gehen und sich ein paar Inspirationen holen, wie Essen gut schmecken kann. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, auch wenn ich dafür ein Billy-Regal kaufen und aufbauen muss.

Un lugar interesante, con amplia clientela, buena comida, amplia variedad de platos basados en carne de cerdo, pollo o res y verduras. Sabor Thai, preguntar siempre si el plato tiene picante, es relativamente fuerte.

Seit Bangkok Street Food vor 5-6 Jahren eröffnet hat stetig gleichbleibende, sehr hohe Qualität der Speisen. Wirklich sehr lecker, einer der besten Thai Restaurants um den Großraum Frankfurt herum und definitiv weiterzuempfehlen. Unbedingt die Nr. 104 probieren 🤌

Leckere und schnell zubereitete Speisen. Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen, wie drinnen vorhanden. Die Parkplatzsituation ist etwas schwierig mit nur 3 seitlichen Parkplätze an der Straßenseite, mehr freie Parkplätze womöglich in den Seitenstraßen, dennoch ist ein Besuch dort empfehlenswert.

Essen ist super. Wir bestellen regelmäßig mit der Bürogemeinschaft und nie hat sich jemand beschwert. Auch bei Gästen von außerhalb kommt das Essen immer super an.

Also wer auf der Suche nach einem wirklich Authentischen Thai Lokal ist hier genau richtig ! 80% der Mitarbeiter sind auch wirklich Thais und jeder einzelne macht dort seinen Job aus tiefster Leidenschaft. Ich denke sie lieben es einfach ihr Kultur hier ausleben zu können und jeden Kunden so glücklich zu machen wie es nur geht. Wir sind einmal die Woche mindestens da. Das Essen ist richtig gut. Es gibt eine sehr große Auswahl und ist auf jeden Fall frisch gekocht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und nett. Es gibt keine klassische Bedienung, mann muss selber am Tresen bestellen. Man kann draußen und drinnen sitzen. Die Preise sind ok, könnte etwas günstiger sein aber das essen überzeugt. Ich kann dieses Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen 👍

Sehr gutes Essen. Preis Leistung ist meiner Meinung nach etwas überteuert. Eine Hauptspeise eine Vorspeise ein Bier 21,80 € . Eine Vierköpfige Familie braucht ca. 80 €. Zu teuer.

Immer sehr frisch und lecker. Abholung oder Verzehr im Restaurant hat immer gut geklappt, da die Gerichte frisch vorbereitet werden, werden die unterwegs auch nicht kalt. Ich liebe die Wonton Suppe und meine Jungs alle Sorten der gebratenen Nudeln. Leider hat uns der selbstgemachte Eistee nicht geschmeckt aber es gibt genug Getränke, in Glasflaschen zur Auswahl.

Eines der wenigen Restaurants im Rhein-Main-Gebiet, in denen es nach 21 Uhr noch Essen gibt. Moderner Zweckbau in ähnlicher Umgebung, aber sehr freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen.

Typischer deutscher Thai-Imbiss mit großer Menü-Auswahl und vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Meistens gut besucht.

Heute mal essen zum mitnehmen geholt, es war auch jetzt wieder sehr lecker gewesen und ging tatsächlich schneller als angesagt wurde.

Ich war dort wegen meiner Freundinnen, weil es nicht meine Geschmacksrichtung ist. Aber die Location sieht nice aus, freundliche Mitarbeiter. Also wer asiatisch essen mag, bestimmt gute Wahl essen dort zu gehen. Leider nichts für mich.

Immer wieder super lecker. Ich bin regelmäßig dort und die Mango mit Klebreis ist mein Favorit. Drinnen ist es leider sehr laut und die Luft meist nicht sehr gut.

War heute das erstmal dort…. Anfangs denkt man, alles gut organsiert….aber wenn man inhouse sitzt und auf sein Esssen wartet und die Szenerie beobachtet, stellt man was anderes fest….die Bedienung läuft rum und weiss nicht wo was hinkommt…. An der extra Ausgabe für Online Bestellungen brüllt eine Mitarbeiterin ständig irgendwelche Bestellnrn. in den Raum…..der Wille im Bangkok ist da, aber die Umsetzung hat einige Luft nach oben !!!! Tip: Kitchen/Order Monotoring !!!!! Zum verweilen lädt das Lokal nicht ein aber das ist auch nicht gewollt und völlig ok !!!! Essen schmeckt….das ist doch das. wichtigste !!!!

Sin ninguna duda, el mejor Thai de toda la zona. Muchísima selección en su carta, nunca exenta de calidad. Más que recomendadas sus sopas. Tienen dos ambientes muy distinguidos, uno dentro, muy elegante y uno fuera, con terraza y jardín. Un precio interesante y un servicio al cliente que invita a volver.

Sehr leckeres, frisch gekochtes Essen. Nicht vergleichbar mit den null-acht-fünfzehn-Thai-Imbissen bei denen alles gleich schmeckt und ich Öl schwimmt. Immer wenn ich hier bin ist Es rappelvoll- das hat seinen Grund. Der Service ist trotzdem nie überfordert, behält den Überblick und ist freundlich. Online Bestellung ist möglich, Kartenzahlung auch. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung!!

Dieses tolle Restaurant hätte eigentlich viel mehr Sterne verdient, als man vergeben kann. Selten ein Restaurant gesehen, in dem man so herzlich begrüßt und bedient wird. Das Essen ist ein Traum. Die Soßen sind hausgemacht, genauso wie deren hauseigene Teegetränke. Vor allem der Macha-Eistee hat es mir persönlich angetan. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich gehalten. Man kann online bestellen und abholen. Dazu kann man auch wählen, ob man sich mithilfe der Vytal-App Mehrweggeschirr, anstelle der Wegwerfbehälter, mitnimmt, die man dann wieder zurückbringen kann. Das trägt zum Umweltschutz bei, was auch nochmal unterstreicht, wie durchdacht das Konzept von BANGKOK Streetfood ist. Ich gehe sehr gern hier essen und hole mir auch regelmäßig meinen Macha-Eistee. Absolut empfehlenswert. Hier muss man mal gegessen und getrunken haben. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden. Weiter so liebes BANGKOK Streetfood Team

The menu has a lot of options. The food is very good and the prices very reasonable. It is a bit loud inside, specially because of the open kitchen and the sound of the busy woks, but it does not compromise the great experience.
