Pizzeria Ristorante Gioia in Oberursel (Taunus)

Having traditional Italian food in a hundred years old barn located in an old town called Oberursel, why not ? 😉 This 2.5-story barn will give you a warm feeling upon you walk in it, the structure of the barn perfectly divide the space. Ordered their signature Pennett Gioia, which is Pennett cooked with bacon 🥓, peas, and mushrooms in creamy tomato sauce, OMG, I can have 2 portions of this. Don't forget to ask for their chili oil, it's so spicily good, it goes with anything.

The food (pizza/pasta mista) arrived relatively quickly via delivery service for a Friday evening. The quality of the food was so-so; the pizza tasted good but was cold. The ordered pasta mista was supposed to contain lasagna, cannelloni, and penne. There was no cannelloni, the lasagna was slimy, and the penne was far from al dente. It was a complete disappointment!

I went there for dinner last night with my colleagues and my young boss. Great service, delicious food, and a pleasant atmosphere (veal schnitzel with Parmesan and spaghetti no. 100). Highly recommended! The restrooms are a bit dated, but they're clean, but a little renovation would be nice.

The pizza was delicious, and I also really enjoyed the salad dressing. I'd gladly go back.

Unfortunately, I wasn't welcomed as an individual; only an unsightly table in the corner remained free. I would have liked to have booked something, but that wasn't even offered to me. It's a shame, because I came on recommendation.

Delicious tomato salad and great pizza in a lovely atmosphere.

My friend and I had two standard pastas from the menu. Though they looked ordinary, they were surprisingly super tasty! We ordered the Lambrusco and that too didn't disappoint ☺️

A special evening in the Pizzeria Gioia - a ray of hope after a difficult day After a very disappointing day in the TV garden - which was actually the heartfelt wish of my autistic daughter - we were emotionally exhausted. A lot of things didn't go as hoped and the mood was correspondingly depressed. It was all the nicer that we were able to meet my friend's sister afterwards - her brother, my partner, is currently in the hospital, which is a great burden for all of us. Together we decided to end the evening at the Pizzeria Gioia with his uncle Salvatore. And that's exactly where we found what we so desperately needed that day: warmth, good food and a bit of family security. The food was – as always – an absolute dream. Fresh, lovingly prepared, authentically Italian and full of flavor. If you're looking for real, honest food that not only fills you up but also makes you happy, Pizzeria Gioia is the right place for you. But it's not just the excellent food - it's also the warm atmosphere that makes this pizzeria a very special place. Especially in difficult moments like this, it's good to be surrounded by people who are good for you. Seeing my friend's family, eating together, laughing and forgetting everything difficult for a moment - that was precious for all of us. Thank you, dear Salvatore, thank you to the whole team at Pizzeria Gioia. You not only spoiled us culinary, you also strengthened us emotionally. We would love to come back with all our hearts.

Unfortunately quite disappointing. Pasta quite soggy, canned mushrooms, pizza burnt, fried potatoes not seasoned.

Unfortunately very disappointing. We had a pizza, pasta and cannelloni. The margarita pizza was unfortunately half burnt, but still the best part of the meal. The pasta aglio e olio didn't taste like anything. The cannelloni was an absolute insult to any Italian. The taste is not even TK standard and far away from any Italian cuisine. If you absolutely have to eat at Gioia, please give the pasta dishes a wide berth. Thank me later.

Very attentive and friendly service. The atmosphere is very quaint and cozy. But the food was disappointing: a pizza that was weak in taste, a minestrone (9.00 euros!) that didn't even contain half a handful of vegetables... it's a shame, we're thinking about coming back.

Service top, unfortunately food is ok. Compared to other restaurants where there were 4 or 5 stars, here it is a 3 tending to 4.

By chance we drove through Oberursel half-starved while passing through and ordered pizza to-go. They were a revelation - and not just because of the hunger 😉. Big, hot, richly topped. Delicious!

We go to Gioia regularly and are always very satisfied!

The service and the ambience is very good. Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. The lasagna was just mush with tomato sauce and cheese without minced meat. The lingiune with porcini mushrooms wouldn't have been bad, but the porcini mushrooms only tasted like garlic. It's a shame... but we still got a schnapps for it.

Great pizzeria in Oberursel, the atmosphere in an old barn and the many levels is something special. The staff are very attentive and friendly. You're never left high and dry, orders come quickly and both pizza, pasta and meat were excellent and very tasty! The starter with squid rings and tomato soup/minestrone were also great. Definitely a great place for Italian food and food in general. Absolute recommendation!

The pizza is good and the people are friendly. Pay attention to the billing, which is often wrong and always in the landlord's favor. I'm not going there anymore.

We waited 2 hours for our delivery, on top of that a dish was completely forgotten and the pizza was only lukewarm. The meal was originally announced in 60 minutes. We will probably only order from La Vita in the future.

We have never eaten such delicious pizza. That's saying something. Despite the full tables, the service was always friendly and very attentive.

I celebrated my birthday here today. It wasn't particularly crowded, but the food still took an hour and a half to arrive and everyone was very hungry. The service also left a lot to be desired. I was definitely hoping for more. 5 out of 7 people were very disappointed with the food. My rigatoni was a very small portion and unfortunately burnt. The waiter therefore took my meal off the bill, but the visit was still really disappointing. We won't be coming back again.

The restaurant is good and well-decorated. I went on a Friday and had to wait for a table, so I recommend making a reservation. Ordering was quick, though the food took a bit to arrive. The service was good, and the staff are friendly and fun. The food was very tasty; I had the pasta carbonara. The prices are fair and reasonable. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.

I've been there twice during my time in the region. Nice atmosphere (converted barn, backyard), very quiet and centrally located. The service and the food were both top!

Delivery time not met. For €6, this portion of frozen fries (limp and cold) is a bad joke. 2/3 of the pizza was burnt. The fact that something like this is even delivered is an impudence! Would give 0 stars if I could.

Pizza Frutti di Mari was actually not good, pizza dough totally burnt and hard, very difficult to cut. The seafood had no taste. For the price I could expect more. The service was fine and friendly. The atmosphere was good too

The former La Stalla in Oberursel is now called Gioia. Typical Italian with a nice atmosphere. I thought the pizza was okay, but not great. Drinks - prices very high...

Personal and friendly welcome with accompaniment to the table. Courteous service. Short waiting times; cozy, rustic atmosphere. The food was fantastic at a completely reasonable price. We have found our new favorite Italian restaurant. Be sure to reserve.

We ordered pizza to take away. This was ready super quickly and the waiters there were also super nice. The taste was okay, but the cheese was a bit disappointing as we were expecting more mozzarella and not a mixture.

Always totally satisfied so far

My spontaneous visit to the Pizzeria Gioia was a stroke of luck. Despite my unannounced arrival, I was promptly seated. The service was efficient, my food came quickly. The Bruschetta pizza was particularly recommended, with perfectly balanced ingredients. It was paired with a delicious wine. A small downside was that the tiramisu was unfortunately sold out - but that indicates its popularity. The price-performance ratio was reasonable. The quality of the food and the quick service convinced me. Pizzeria Gioia is definitely a recommendation for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. I'll be happy to come back, maybe the tiramisu will work!

Das Ambiente wirkt rustikal und dennoch gemütlich, da über 2 Stockwerke. Egal welcher Service eher forsch und zeigte sich genervt, da wir nicht reserviert hatten. Hier wäre es schön mehr Dankbarkeit zu zeigen, gerade in diesen Zeiten. Pizza am Boden verbrannt, zu große Artischockenstücke und Preislich im höheren Niveau für belegten Teig.

Uriges Ambiente, freundliches Personal und absolut köstliches, italienisches Essen. Die Pinsa ist klasse.

Fangen wir mit dem positiven an. Der Service war ist bis auf seine etwas forsche Art der Kommunikation doch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist bewusst rustikal gehalten, was mir persönlich gefallen hat. Schade fand ich, dass „aufgrund von Stress“ ich keine Pizza halb halb belegen lassen durfte. In jedem anderen Restaurant ging das bisher. Aber gut. Der Meeresfrüchtesalat war einfältig und hatte die Konsistenz von kaltem Plastik, Die Pizza war ebenfalls geschmacklos und trocken, weil sehr mit dem Käse gespart wurde. Der Teig war ebenfalls fad und gefühlt noch nicht ganz durch. Alles in allem kein weiterer Besuch, dennoch nettes Lokal mit Potenzial.

Wir haben heute Mittag köstlich diniert, auch der andere Teil war toll. Wir können das Ristorante Gioia unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Es lohnt sich. Kleine Ergänzung: Ich hatte bei der letzten Sternbewertung versehentlich - trotz sehr guter Bewertung meinerseits - die Sternskala statt 5 nur 1 Stern angesetzt. Natürlich sind es 5 STERNE!!! Jetzt stimmt es endlich. Wir waren heute - Mittwoch, 15.11.23 wieder beim Essen, alles funktionierte wunderbar. Bin jetzt - 18:20 Uhr - noch gut gesättigt.

Pizzeria über 2 Stockwerke in einer alten Scheune. Es gibt eine Tageskarte. Wünsche werden wenn machbar erfüllt. Weine sind auch gut. Die Bedienung schnell und freundlich.

Absolut Geile Pizza und schnelle Aufmerksame Bedienung ,den Feldsalat mit Kalbsleber kann ich sehr Empfehlen. Eigentlich hat mir bis jetzt alles geschmeckt, und der Lachs mit grünem Pfeffer 👍es kann aber auch mal etwas länger dauern bis eine Bedienung kommt. Aber dank Gino läuft es dann super gut.

Super leckere Pizza. Ich liebe Pizza überalles. Die Steinofen Pizza von Gioia ist derzeit meine Lieblingspizza. Der Boden ist sehr knusprig gebacken und der Belag ist Top. Zudem sitzt man dort noch super schön, etwas urig.

Wir hatten vorneweg ein sehr leckeres Vitello Tonnato. Als Hauptgang hatten wir 2 Pizzen und Pasta. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich, einladend und durch die Lichter leicht romantisch!! Als Absacker hatten wir Limoncello. Der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!!

Die beste und leckerste Pizza Hawaii gibt es nur hier, hmm lecker hat es geschmeckt, gerne wieder !!

Ein toller Italiener mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und ich kann nur empfehlen ja zu sagen, wenn man gefragt wird ob man Brot dazu möchte. Richtig lecker!

Meiner Meinung nach die beste Pizzeria in der Umgebung. Ambiente ist rustikal und gemütlich. Der Service sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen ist fantastisch, egal ob die knusprige und luftige Pizza oder Pinsa aus dem Holzofen, die unterschiedlichsten Pasta Gerichte, welche al dente kommen oder die typisch italienischen Desserts. Genau so speist man in Italien.

Sono tornato due volte in questo posto dove mi sono trovato a casa mia per la gentilezza dei gestori e di tutto lo staff. Un posto caldo nell'arredamento dove si respira tutta l'aria italiana. Il giardino all'aperto rende la location unica nel suo genere.Ho assaporato la carne alla griglia , ottima, saporita e morbida, senza parlare delle verdure grigliate cucinate benissimo e una pinza leggera e croccante. Menù ricco di pietanze gustose. Consigliatissimo per una cena romantica o da andare in gruppo con amici. Continuate così! 😉

Nach langer Zeit Mal wieder für diesen Lieferservice entschieden. Für Menschen die eine geregelte Pausezeit haben, überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen. Unpünktlich des Grauens. Diese Pizzeria kommt immer zu spät. Kritik wurde nicht angenommen. Wer eine Gastro betreibt muss Kritikfähig sein. Musste die Pizza in 5min einatmen. Das war das letzte Mal
