Attentive service and authentic food 💗 hard to find an elevated south east asian food in Berlin, so this is truly a gem

hands down one of the best pad thais in berlin. portion could have been a bit bigger for the price but maybe we were a bit unlucky that day.

food was tasty but unfortunately it wasn‘t really vegan friendly as many other places in berlin. we order pad thai with tofu and it wasn‘t mentioned that there was egg inside (i know that pad thai has traditionally egg in it, but if is not mentioned in the ingredients i think it’s not included). also i don’t know if yesterday there was a problem but it was coming from the toilette a not pleasant smell.

I ordered one drunk man fried noodles via ubereats. I was so disappointed when I opened the box. The noodles are all broken into small pieces and sticked together into noodle balls. Too much chilli seeds mixed in which is very unpleasant. Seems to be also canned bamboos in it which brings an unpleasant odor. I think it's very disappointing quality for 17 euros spent on this dish. The portion is mainly taken by big chunks of veggies. There's no even protein in it. I was excited to try but I don't think it's a wise idea to order twice.

Good evening we went as a family ❤️, this restaurant is very good in all areas, the welcome by a friendly and very warm couple, the food is succulent, spicy but just right, the quality is there, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. If you visit Berlin, go there with your eyes closed, and you will discover original Thai cuisine. To visit during your stay. We will come back with great pleasure. Patrick.

Pad krabao and moo ping tasted so good, we love it. The tomyum soup is quite underwhelming though, I couldn’t taste any tomyum flavor except the spiciness 🥲 Mango sticky rice and thai iced tea were good too!

Just recently returned from Thailand after a long trip. We were longing for dishes that tasted as original as possible here in Berlin and we found what we were looking for. Ingredients, spices and spiciness are absolutely original. Of course there is no atmosphere, hustle and bustle and sun, but that will be difficult in Germany. In any case, we are thrilled and will definitely come back!

I've been here two times in the last month, so I feel quite comfortable writing a review here. The clear Pros: * Good location directly at Wasserturm * Actually, good food - I can recommend the Tom Yam Gung soup, the Pad Krapao Pamück, the Barsh and the Mango Sticky Rice * Nice spice The cons: * Pricing is in my opinion to high - dishes are typically 20+ EUR, drinks are rather high, too * In the winter, this place is packed - seating is okay, however quite optimized and it can get quite loud * The waiter was, both times, rather overwhelmed and thus, service is clear con here Pricing needs to be taken into consideration, Umami (directly across the street) is rather high in pricing, too. Still, in my opinion too much. Was it good: Yes. Will I am come back: Probably not.

The place has a nice location and interior. Menu looks rather big. But food is very average lacking of taste and prices for taste-portion is crazy. I had a padthai which was just sweet and nothing more and soup with lack of taste. If you go to Thai place you expect rather good taste but this place is lacking it.

Food tastes delicious! However, the prices are relatively high for the small portion. The two of us paid €60 and didn't really get full. You get more for your money elsewhere. Very unfortunate!

We all thought the food was okay, the taste was quite good but not outstanding. However, we found the small portions problematic. There were five of us and we each had a main course - no one was full from that alone. That shouldn't really be the case given the prices.

Unfortunately the flavor didn’t hit the plate. Would not reccomend. It’s a slightly higher price point for berlin and it just doesn’t deliver. The wine 9€ was from a bad bottle, no one seems to care though, no acknowledgement or apology, nor for bad food. wine was replaced for fresh but without care. The Thai curry had next to no sauce. When I think Thailand this is not it. Portions are extremely small too and arrived cold. Yeah… it’s a miss. Don’t go.

Found it on Google Maps and visited it spontaneously on Saturday evening. Luckily, there was still a free table for 2 out of 4. It was well attended. We tried the yuzu fruit lassi which tastes wonderfully of mango Actimel. Pad Thai in tamarind sauce and lime juice was awesome, pork knuckle was really cooked "as soft as butter"😄 Service great and friendly, dignified Big recommendation

Simply one of the BEST Thai restaurants in Berlin. Service is friendly and the food is amazing… Tates like you are in Thailand…

I really like the lemon fish and minced pork, they are really delicious. Lemon fish is spicy and sour, similar to Yunnan Dai flavor. The minced pork minced meat is also spicy and goes very well with rice. Have been there more than once and will go again!

Unfortunately not a good experience. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit. The food was so-so and the drinks were way too sweet. Another 50 cents are charged for a box to take away the leftovers.

Very authentic Pad Krapao! Actually this might be the best Pad Krapao in Berlin, after having tested more than 30 Thai places here and also being a Thai Park regular. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the Penang Curry, which was quite disappointing. We'll try some noodle dish or Isaan food instead of a curry, next time. Portion sizes are huge, but prizes are high.

Very tasty, very authentic, but also very expensive. But it's worth it!

The chicken skins fried were ok but too sweet, the krapao with pork quite tasty but the green curry was far too full of coconut and as a result tasteless and limp. I have made better green curries using a supermarket sauce and that is unacceptable.

We were very disappointed with the food and the service. The padthai was completely over-sweetened, not at all traditional as we know it, more sweet/sour... you actually couldn't eat it. We told the waiter this and only got a cheeky response from him. “That’s just how it tastes with us” the green curry we had was okay, there were no traditional vegetables such as. Thai eggplant. It wasn't spicy either. That's why we wouldn't recommend the restaurant. There are certainly better and cheaper ones in Berlin!

The taste was quite good, but clearly overpriced for what was actually just Thai street food. 16-17€ for Pad Kra Pao. 15€ for Pad Thai. Little selection of main courses, but lots of appetizers. Ambience was quite nice and good location.

The papaya salad is soooo good! Actually everything is super tasty!

Please take allergies seriously! I asked more than once about tomatoes being in the dish and was told that they weren’t. I got sick. It’s not funny.

Very nice Thai restaurant. Very good and fast service. Very tasty and authentic food. And very friendly attentive staff. Although we had no reservation and the restaurant was fully booked, a table was provided for us. Thank you very much for allowing us to spend the evening there. Definitely worth a visit.

Summary: overrated, mediocre food with high price for low quality meat with rash and not so friendly service Best dish: none Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): - Tom kha gai: ok flavor but I have had a lot better Tom kha gai soups in Berlin; the worst was the meat quality of the chicken, it was so chewy that I could barely chew it. €8.5 for the appetizer is quite high compared to other places in Berlin. - chicken with cashew nuts and vegetables: the taste was mediocre, but the chicken meat quality was the same awful quality. I only know such quality if you use defrosted chicken, maybe that is the case here. As a Swiss I rarely complain, it’s not in our culture to be very direct, but after having chewed through the appetizer, I was not willing to chew through the main dish and decided to complain. The waiter offered me other chicken dishes but after the same experience in two different dishes, I thought this was not a promising path forward. After some back and forth and initially saying she couldn‘t cancel the dish, in the end she did. Service: = mediocre service - the back and forth about a solution about the complaint was very unpleasant. She also tried to tell me that there was no issue with the chicken. Price: - high price for low quality Atmosphere: + nice seating outside ? Don’t know about the inside My rating system - I focus on the food first and foremost. I aim to be truthful and try not to be biased by friendly service or other circumstances. 5*: excellent - I am rigorous in handing out 5* ratings 4*: good 3*: ok 2*: bad 1*: terrible

The restaurant is beautifully located and comfortably furnished inside. We had Som Tam, Pad Thai and Tom Kha Gai, all three of which were fine. But unfortunately not anymore. Unfortunately, we didn't find the typical taste that we know from Thailand. And for the fact that it was just ok, the prices are unfortunately a bit too high.

Very good food! Loved the tofu pad krapao and mango sticky rice! Thai tea was as sweet as it should be! Spicy is more on the mild side, but I love really spicy food, so I guess it's good for german tongues :)

It should have been surprising to see so many free seats on a Friday evening, and the other restaurants outside were all packed, some with queues. Non-carbonated mango spritzer is probably what you should have said when ordering. The Gaitord consisted only of thick breading with chicken bones, hardly any chicken meat and a small bowl of sauce, not nearly enough to fill you up. The Pad Thai Gal was a bit bland, the promised rice for every dish was in the noodles, and the portion was also rather tiny. The only good thing was the Lillet with berries. Not again for just under €40!

Too bad! One of two dishes we ordered was missing and unfortunately neither is available. AND: The one meal delivered is a very disappointing mushy unseasoned mass of rice, already cold, even though the delivery person was quick. One star goes to the messenger.

The service and the ambience is great. I had the Pad Thai and it was really delicious. My partner had the king prawns in oyster sauce (spicy). It just wasn't good enough for 20€ and due to the chillies used it was quite bitter and simply not enjoyable. A few more vegetables would have benefited the dish. Otherwise you can do it here, it's just pretty expensive for my taste.

First time visit and all our three dishes were pretty authentic!

Very close to five stars. Why? The price-performance ratio! For starters we had ribs (mostly cooked), raw prawns (expensive), squid (great!) and pork belly (too dry). All in all it was tasty, the portions could have been a bit larger. A Thai iced tea is also expensive at €6.90, but it was delicious. We would come back and try other foods. Card payment is possible.

Authentic Thai place, we had the fish, papaya salad today, when I had the first bite of the fish, I said to my friend “I just arrived Bangkok!” Totally fell in love, it’s so tender , full of flavor and just like the ones I had in Thailand! I still can’t get over it how good it is!

Traditional, taste wise quite ok. A bit overpriced.

Food is mediocre but you have to pay a lot for it. This is simply overpriced. Definitely not value for money!!! Pad Thai costs €16 and you get 5 super tiny shrimps. Definitely not wages! The starter with raw shrimp also costs €20. According to the manager, the price is that way because you have to buy the shrimp fresh and peel it etc. but it doesn't taste fresh at all to me. It's like frozen product. Service was also very bad. The waitress was rude and gave me incomplete sentences. The only plus point is the ambience with lots of outside seating. I would avoid this restaurant and would not recommend it. 60€ is just like throwing money out the window

Very tasty authentic Thai food! Price/performance is top. I can especially recommend the curries and the mango sticky rice 🥭 Service is also very courteous.

Food was very good. We misunderstood the first dish but ours came pretty quickly. Service was very good - super friendly and they also stood us up against the wasps. Unfortunately, I only have to complain about Mango Sticky Rice because the coconut sauce wasn't that tasty. But I would eat there again at any time!

very disappointing. 19€ for a shrimp rice dish, which includes a few pepper strips and a brown sauce, overall very boring and bland and without any kick - well. We won't be coming anymore. Also Laab Gai, very flat in taste, rather dry and meaningless. Unfortunately we were lured by the pictures. Meals at lunch prices are legitimate.

Authentic, but prices too high 10 € for half a mango with rice. It's not worth it to me for simple Thai cuisine

Portions are small, no garnish pretty damn loveless. Extremely pricey for what you get. Tastewise pretty good but not really exceptional. Compared to what you get elsewhere in berlin a straight rip off. If you dont care about money you can go eat here i guess. I'am writing this while eating a kebap cause after two courses i'am still hungry. I usually never write bad reviews.

The food at Bangkok Bites was delicious but the only thing I would criticize is the service. Too many times we tried to catch the attention of the waitress, but they were way too busy and never looked our way. The Thai iced tea was too sweet so we had to ask to get a new one, but it was still way too sweet. They put way too much condensed milk into the Thai iced tea and it didn’t have the famous orange color. The food was really delicious though!

This is mediocre at best. The Laab doesn't taste like Laab (it doesn't even taste good), and the papaya salad is just OK. The pad thai is good, but unless you live in the neighbourhood, it's not worth travelling to this restaurant for the pad thai.

Worst red curry I have had in my ten year obsession with Thai food: watery without flavour. For 18€ I would have expected more. The pad Thai was at least so-so.

The two of us spontaneously walked into Bangkok Bites last Saturday at the best time of the evening without a reservation. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a great spot on the terrace with the evening sun. The service was very pleasant and, above all, quick. The food was excellent: starter Gai Satay - tender chicken on a skewer with peanut sauce, followed by very spicy (!) wok vegetables with beef and a mild Gäng Panäng (red curry with tofu) and rice in the main course. Everything came quickly and without waiting. Many dishes are vegan-friendly (e.g. with tofu as a side dish). Price/performance ratio, especially in the Kollwitzkiez, is absolutely fair. Card payment possible. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

Recommended by a friend, and in fact I confirm that it is good, but the biggest problem is the prices, disproportionate to the portions, really too expensive. I also recommend taking a look at the final bill, the wine list is not updated.

Our recommendation if you really want to be served from above and don't have the slightest explanation/apology for an incorrectly served dish. A unique challenge even for the neighborhood around the water tower, be sure to be not hungry and have a thick skin!

Bangkok Bites is the most authentic Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Though being on the pricier side, it is totally worth it. The restaurant might be the only place in Berlin where you can get Plah Nüng Manao, a Sea Bass dish from Thailand. Definitely worth the visit!

They have the best PadThai in town. I can recommend everyone to visit the restaurant. It's also nice to sit in and the service is friendly and courteous.

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Bangkok bites. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, we had to wait an incredibly long time of 2 hrs for our food. After 1.5 hours of waiting, we had to personally request at least one dish for our three-year-old toddler, as he was getting very hungry and restless. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was quite rude throughout our visit. When it came time to pay, we decided to leave a smaller tip due to the poor service. However, we were shocked to see that a huge amount of tip had already been added to our bill without our consent. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and we won't be returning anytime soon.

Pork ribs appetizer tastes authentic with the chili sauce. Pad krapao with cripsy pork was amazing. The kao soi is interesting, the soup was thick. Overall the food was very satisfying 🥰

One of my favourite places to eat in Berlin. I go specifically for the Pad Kaprao, a traditional Thai dish with holy basil.. absolutely delicious.

Mein Hauptgericht wurde serviert, da habe ich noch meine Suppe gegessen. Kaum waren die Teller abgeräumt, wurden wir gefragt, ob die Rechnung gebracht werden kann...ähm nein! Wir sind mehr oder weniger gerade erst gekommen und wollten einen gemütlichen Abend mit einem guten Essen und einem Getränk verbringen. Alle drei Punkte waren hier absolut nicht gegeben!!! Weder das Essen war gut, die Getränke einfach und für die nicht vorhandene Gastlichkeit sollte es eigentlich 0 Punkte geben!

I only ate one dish and drank tea, but both were excellent as was the service. I'd love to come back

First visit. Fine, very delicious Thai food in the upper price sector. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Pleasant room temperature, not too cold. Good ventilation, no smell of food on clothes at home. The four of us were very satisfied and felt comfortable there.

Top tier Thai food - the chicken in the Thai curry literally falls off the bone, it’s so succulent and soft, perfectly cooked. Papaya salad has a great kick, not for the faint hearted but it’s addictively spicy. Get it with the pork neck skewers - meat is tender and marinaded with a punchy flavour. Recommend washing it down with the Thai tea with condensed milk.

Awful people. We arrived 1:30 hours before the closing time on Google. They were super disrespectful and asked us to go even when we gave the feedback that they should update the google times. Don’t favor places where as a customer you’re mistreated
