I will write in Serbian, because many of our people are coming and they shouldn't be! The last time we poisoned ourselves! From that evening, vomiting, diarrhea, belching continued the next day..we took the temperature and my husband and I were over 37.FOOD POISONING! It's no use answering and writing here now, who knows what you're doing with the meat! We will report you to the competent services and thank God that there are reviews, that other people can see and that they don't get poisoned here!

The three of us had lunch at Asanovic's, very tasty and very nice people. We'll be back. We came especially from Herford. Thanks and see you soon :-)

Small, therefore few tables. It's better to call in advance or reserve straight away. The kitchen is right next to the seating area and is not separated. Therefore, after leaving there is a strong smell and the clothes need to be washed. The prices are quite ambitious, a bit of kajmak that could perhaps be enough for five cevaps costs almost 6 euros. Elsewhere, a kebab that fills you up costs that much. The food tastes good, I can't say anything negative about it. The table was clean and the waiting time for the food was ok.

Finally I no longer have to drive all the way to Serbia just to eat good pljeslavica and cevapcici. I have everything here

We were there with a group of 10 people and made a reservation in advance. Unfortunately, the overall experience was mixed. The wait staff was hardly present, which made ordering and service a bit tedious. Unfortunately the toilet was dirty and there was no paper left either. Unfortunately, some of the food was cold and after we had eaten most of it, we were immediately asked to leave because the table had already been reserved. Luckily there were packs so you could take the leftovers with you. It didn't suit my taste, the side salad consisted mainly of onions... I personally would have liked a little more cucumber and tomato. It might work better for smaller groups, but unfortunately it wasn't ideal for us, so I'm only giving it 2 stars.

Were there on Sunday lunchtime, unfortunately full. But luckily something became available quickly. Ordered the platter for 4 people. The HAMMA!! Absolutely plentiful (even too much) and delicious. Absolutely recommended but it is better to reserve in advance..

Small, fine “restaurant”. Not the food that is available on every corner. Large selection of starters which are all fresh and delicious. The bread is totally fluffy and delicious. Afterwards, three good eaters couldn't get the grill plate open for two. Only the music is a bit loud but that's a matter of taste.

The food is delicious and a plate for 2 people is easily enough for 3 people. Staff could be a little more present. We'll definitely be back

Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to lodge a complaint about my visit to the Balkan Grill Asanovic restaurant in Dortmund. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfactory. Firstly, the wait for our food was way too long. We had to wait an excessively long time which made the entire evening unpleasant. Secondly, I found the prices for the food offered to be overpriced, especially considering the quality we received. Finally, the staff were very rude and seemed uninterested in making our visit pleasant.

I was there the day before yesterday and ate there. After a long journey we were finally there. The joy was great but the disappointment was greater. Ordered the record for €110. Overall the taste is not good. Some of the meat was raw and the fries were hard. The staff is only focused on money. The next day comb the surprise diarrhea vomiting, stomach cramps sweating. After I went to a doctor he said it could be food poisoning. This is now being tested and I will inform the health department. Not recommended more appearance than reality.

Great people in the store. You get a very family feeling. Ate Cevape for the first time and it tasted great. The bread was very soft and went very well with the cevape.

Unfortunately, a big disappointment!!! They are very disorganized! I reserved a table, I came with my family 100 km from another city, they left us standing and waiting for 15 minutes just like that, then we waited for an hour for our order because they "forgot" us, and when the food came, everything was incomplete. we had to call again for everything, because they forgot. And people who didn't have a reservation and just came as they were, got a table before us and a meal, they ate and we didn't even get a meal. It's a shame, but that's right! We will never doc again, because it is a big disrespect!!!

If you want meat-heavy food, this is the place for you. However, you should avoid extras. For example, a small bowl of bitter-tasting onions was charged €2. A dollop of extra sauce costs €1. The food itself is good. Still won't come back.

We arrived at the restaurant today at 1:45 p.m. At first we didn't know where to sit because the place was so crowded. Once we got the table where we could sit down, we first waited 20 minutes for the menu. After we got the menu we waited for over 1 hour. Juice shop! 1.5 Waited hours for food, to be fair the shop was full, but a table who ordered 2 minutes before us got their food 30 minutes before and had already paid. I wish you could give 0 stars. Cevape were maybe 3cm tall and the price was excessive for the size. Plus they don't even taste good and I've eaten many in Germany and Vienna, if I hadn't waited 1.5 hours I would have stopped eating after the second. Don't enter this shed.

Became aware of it through Instagram. We drove extra from Marl to Dortmund and what can I say, every kilometer was worth it. The food was delicious and the service was very nice and accommodating. Clear recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

We were at the so-called Balkan Grill today and can't confirm all the reviews here!! Waited an hour for food The food for 80 € was totally tasteless, it didn't taste good at all & the owner was more than rude and unfriendly after you asked him about it.. The side dish of salad was half a plate of onions and coleslaw which is not a mixed salad for definitely not coming back and were thrown out after criticism and should not enter the store again!!

Waiting time should be taken into account, 30-45 minutes. It's very hectic, but if you call the waiters, they come straight away. The meat and food are very good in my opinion. The sausages and cevapcici taste excellent.

First of all, the food is delicious. Unfortunately, you can hardly find Čevapi in home-baked flatbread anywhere in Germany. Here already. Both the Čevapi and the flatbread are very tasty. The Gurmanska Pleskavica filled with cheese and smoked beef was also delicious. Unfortunately, the homemade sausages were quite disappointing. Tasted like boiled sausages from a jar. The grill plates looked very generous, but also came at a price. It's a snack bar. Relatively few seats inside. Some outside on the street. Only one toilet and it is not lockable. Unfortunately that doesn't work at all. Few printed and outdated maps. Map via QR code does not load well. With something like this, free WiFi should be offered. Eating took quite a long time. Although we didn't order much and there were few guests. Unfortunately the calculation wasn't correct either. Not even after repeated checking. But all of this can be fixed with a little good will.

Reserved a table for 6 people, "lured" via insta, for which we had to wait 15 minutes. We then waited 1.5 hours for the food. Unfortunately all the meat was: 1 cake stand for 3 people, 2x the 41 and 1 x the 36 (ordered 36!) frozen goods!! The chicken meat was still raw inside, the veal meat was dry and tough! Like the lamb. The cevaps were like rubber. Coleslaw without dressing, flatbread worked reasonably well. It wasn't possible to reorder drinks, the staff wasn't interested. When you pay at the counter you basically have to look into the kitchen... but you probably don't want to. The store was full inside and out, the line in front of the door hardly stopped.... I have no idea why! That same evening I washed our textiles... We smelled like we had been sitting next to the deep fryer.

I ate in the restaurant for the second time today and reserved a table for two for 5:30 p.m. When we got there, the store was overcrowded, so we were seated outside. After 40 minutes our menu finally arrived (only after several questions). 7:30 p.m. and the food we ordered still didn't come. We asked nicely 2-3 times how long the food would take and all we got was a blunt "I don't know". When it came after more than two hours, the entire meal was cold. It was bad enough that we had to wait in the cold. It's a shame... because we drove an extra 3 hours just to eat there. Despite the - actually - delicious food, we will not visit the restaurant again.

We visited this restaurant for the first time today after discovering it through its high number of followers on Instagram. For us, however, it had more of the character of a snack bar, albeit with a nice interior. Ordering is done at the counter. We chose a platter for 2 people for €50 - unfortunately we personally found the price overpriced, especially compared to other Balkan restaurants or snack bars. The selection on the plate was quite limited. The food was okay and tasted good. Unfortunately, the Sudzuk sausages had little taste and the chicken was so-so. The Pljeskavica and the fries were very tasty. Another plus point is the home-baked Ljepenja, although it was not covered with soup as we usually know it (not a must). Overall, the food was tasty, but a bit too expensive compared to other Balkan restaurants/snacks.

The food was 1a. Absolutely awesome and super aromatic. We ordered a plate for two, but if we weren't so gluttonous, it would easily feed three or four. The restaurant itself is of course a bit small, but very stylishly furnished. Right from the start we were given a very realistic time frame as to when the food would be ready and we were only asked to pay when the food was ready. The payment was very uncomplicated and it was also possible with VISA. As far as I can tell, everything is homemade and super tasty, so a clear recommendation 😋 After seeing all the Instagram videos about the restaurant, you weren't disappointed. Overall, my visit to the Balkan Restaurant Asanovic was very positive. The food was above average, with a diverse selection of typical Balkan dishes that tasted convincing. Particularly noteworthy are the fresh ingredients and the loving preparation, which you could feel in every bite. The staff was friendly and helpful. You felt welcome from the start and were looked after attentively throughout your stay. Despite the high volume of people in the restaurant, the wait for the food was surprisingly short and completely acceptable. Overall, Balkan Restaurant Asanovic offers an excellent dining experience that I would happily recommend.

Way too expensive! Customers are knowingly being ripped off. The menu says that a portion of kajmak is served with it, but the unfriendly waiter insists on charging for it additionally when ordering. After you had to show your menu to the waiter, he doesn't understand why kajmak is included and argues about it. This means that things that are included will continue to be charged in the past and in the future. Already at He billed the next customer for this separately, impossible. Greedy. You can raise the prices, but that's cheeky. We've been there regularly before, but that was our last time. Too expensive!! Unfortunately the bread is not poured over, which is standard for the Balkans. And €13 for 7 cevapcici in sour cream is really just greedy. So you unfortunately lost us as customers, which is a shame, but we came regularly from further afield.

Was there on 9/28/24 based on the Tiktok recommendation. Unfortunately the staff wasn't very friendly. There were two of us and we were immediately asked not to sit at a table of four because of the possible families that could come. It was 1pm at noon and the store was completely empty. As time went on, a few more guests came, but there were still enough seats, and the outdoor area was opened during this time. We would have preferred to sit there so as not to smell like food for the rest of the day. The grill plate for 2 people was ok, too much meat and not enough side dishes or salad for my taste. Tzatziki was just a blob on a piece of meat. Mayo and ketchup were not even offered. I wouldn't go there again.

We came especially from Cologne because of the current Instragam hype. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the taste of the food. The store was full, but we had reserved. We didn't have to wait long and the service was always helpful. The staff definitely didn't let themselves be disturbed in the kitchen, even though it was stressful. Since we were sitting outside, we found it e.g. Not so good that the guests waiting for the table outside smoked, that wasn't so pleasant. If you present your store like this on Instagram, you shouldn't be surprised that people will follow your store. It's reminiscent of a small snack bar, but more space would definitely be better. However, the concept is great and we will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, our expectations were bitterly disappointed. Despite our reservation, there was no table for us upon arrival and we had to wait outside in the cold for about 20 minutes until a table became available. This was already an unpleasant start to the evening. When we were finally able to sit down, after just five minutes we were asked again to change tables because they had six people and they would fit better at our table. Although this was very rude and unprofessional for us, we also endured this inconvenience. The food we had already ordered while we were waiting (outside on the sidewalk) was eventually served, but we were completely ignored after that. None of the service staff came to us to ask for drinks or requests. The quality of the food also left a lot to be desired - unfortunately it didn't live up to what we had hoped for from your restaurant. Overall the visit was a huge disappointment, both in terms of service and quality of food. I therefore cannot recommend your restaurant. The service was terrible and the entire experience extremely unpleasant. I hope you take this feedback seriously and use it to improve the service and organization in your restaurant.

I wanted to eat there with two colleagues, after I entered the shop and saw the clients there, we left straight away... you have the feeling that you are not in Dortmund, but in a Roma district in Serbia.

A chip shop. I've tried almost everything here. What I can't recommend is the pizza. The colleagues don't get it right or they still have to learn it. I think the prices are sometimes overpriced for what you get. Some dishes seem to me as if they were ready-made meals that had previously been frozen, although you have to wait a long time. So not suitable for the lunch break. Nevertheless, I don't want to be like that and am only giving 4 stars for now and hope for improvement.

Food like from home to have something like that in Germany is perfect!

I was there for the first time today. We ordered the platter for four people and ate with five people - it was a perfect fit. We also had three bowls of salad and enough bread. We also ordered fries. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the food - but that's just how it is. Everything was extremely tasty and still extremely hot - almost too hot to eat straight away. I ordered carbonated water twice, but it arrived non-carbonated twice - that was a bit annoying. More attention must definitely be paid to hygiene in the sanitary facilities - I personally think it would make sense to have women's toilets and men's toilets separately, but it seemed that there was no other option. Everything else was always very clean, including the tables. Nevertheless, only 4 stars overall today, so that there is still room for improvement and I can update the rating next time.
