Badshah Restaurant in Hamburg

Ich hatte dort eines der schlechtesten Hühnchen-Biryanis, die ich je gegessen habe. Es hatte absolut nichts mit einem authentischen Biryani zu tun. Es enthielt Zutaten, die dort einfach nicht hingehören, wie Rosinen und Kohl. Die Zwiebeln waren grob geschnitten und nicht einmal richtig durchgegart. Der Geschmack war insgesamt sehr enttäuschend, und die Qualität des Essens war mangelhaft. Ich würde dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen, wenn Sie ein gutes Biryani suchen. Ich habe auch Fotos beigefügt, damit andere sehen können, was serviert wurde.

Dieses Restaurant bietet authentische indische Küche. Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte wie Thali und Chole Bhature probiert, die alle perfekt zubereitet waren. Endlich mal wieder richtig indisch essen zu können, hat mich richtig an meine Kindheit erinnert. Die Atmosphäre ist auch toll, die Wände sind mit indischen Kunstwerken geschmückt, was sehr erfrischend ist. Es ist allerdings eher ein Selbstbedienungsrestaurant: Man bestellt an der Theke und holt das Essen dort ab. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das in Deutschland üblich ist, da ich zum ersten Mal hier war. Absolut empfehlenswert! Es gibt außerdem ausreichend Parkplätze vor dem Restaurant und in der Straße.

Mein absoluter Lieblingsort, wenn ich in Hamburg bin ❤️. Es ist ein wirklich authentisches indisches Restaurant – einfach, unaufdringlich und voller Charme. Das Essen ist immer frisch und köstlich. Besonders liebe ich ihr Shahi Paneer Thali (10 €), und ihr Masala Chai ist auch hervorragend! Im Hintergrund läuft immer Punjabi-Musik, und für 30 Minuten fühlt man sich tatsächlich wie nach Indien zurückversetzt 😁👍. Die Atmosphäre ist warm und einladend, und ich liebe das Flair einfach!

Ambiente ist speziell, aber ich mag es. Die Portionen sind wieder etwas größer, der Salat immer noch ein Kleinod...

Stell dir vor, Allah bittet Ganesha, für Jesus ein Essen zum Chanukkafest zuzubereiten. Genau dieses kulinarische Erlebnis erwartet dich hier.

Dieser Ort ist ein echter Geheimtipp für Liebhaber preiswerter indischer Küche. Die Qualität der Speisen steht dem Preis in nichts nach: einfach, sättigend und voller authentischer Aromen. Auch wenn die Sauberkeit noch verbessert werden könnte, machen das leckere Essen und das Gesamterlebnis einen Besuch dennoch lohnenswert.

Oh, es ist so gut und authentisch, dass ich befürchte, dass meine gute Bewertung dieses Geheimtipp mit der Zeit ruinieren könnte. Schwer zu findender, schwieriger Standort.

Sehr kreatives kleines Restaurant mit leckerem Essen. Man bestellt, bezahlt, zieht eine Nummer und bekommt zügig seine Speisen. Es gibt keinen Service am Tisch. Dafür sind die Preise klein und das Essen sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war auf Empfehlung in diesem indischen Restaurant essen und war wirklich sehr zufrieden. Ich hatte das Butter Chicken und werde es beim nächsten Besuch definitiv wieder bestellen. Geschmacklich sehr gut, schön würzig und die Portion war absolut ausreichend. Das Konzept fand ich auch praktisch: Man bestellt und bezahlt vorne an der Kasse, bekommt anschließend einen Bong mit Nummer und wartet dann, bis die Nummer auf den kleinen Displays im Restaurant erscheint ähnlich wie ein Wartesystem. Dadurch läuft alles unkompliziert und organisiert ab. Preislich fand ich die 10 € für das Gericht absolut angemessen. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung.

Das Essen ist fantastisch. Es gibt Chole Batura Thali, Kadhi Chawal, Samosas, Jalebi und Chai. Das Ambiente ist voll und chaotisch. Ich musste fünf Minuten auf einen Platz warten, bevor ich merkte, dass es Selbstbedienung ist. Aber das Essen ist es wert. Unglaublich gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Man merkt erst, wie andere indische Restaurants einen abzocken.

Es liegt in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs. Das Essen ist gut, und für den Preis ist es wirklich super. Eine lustige Begebenheit: Wir waren zu viert aus Berlin und haben vier Thalis bestellt. Der Kellner meinte dann so um die 35 Euro, und wir waren total perplex. Wir hatten vier Thalis bestellt, und dann hatte er alle Preise zusammengerechnet und gesagt, es wären 35. Aber für uns Berliner wären das eher 50 Euro gewesen 🤪. Trotzdem war es ein schönes Erlebnis.

Schreckliches Erlebnis 💔💔 Sehr enttäuschendes Erlebnis im Badshah am 7. Mai 2026 gegen 17:30 Uhr. Wir bestellten Essen im Wert von ca. 23,50 € und warteten auf unsere Bestellung. Nach fast 15 Minuten kam eine Kellnerin zu uns und bat uns, den Tisch zu verlassen, da andere Gäste bereits ihr Essen hatten und Plätze benötigten. Das ergab überhaupt keinen Sinn – wenn nicht genügend Sitzplätze vorhanden sind, warum werden dann noch Bestellungen zum Verzehr im Restaurant angenommen? Wir baten daraufhin entweder um eine Rückerstattung oder darum, die Bestellung zum Mitnehmen zu ändern, da wir uns nicht mehr wohlfühlten, dort zu bleiben. Erstaunlicherweise erhielten wir weder eine Rückerstattung noch unser Essen. Die gesamte Interaktion wirkte unhöflich, unorganisiert und respektlos gegenüber den Gästen. Das Essen mag beliebt sein, aber Kundenservice und grundlegende Gastfreundschaft fehlten während unseres Besuchs völlig. Definitiv kein Erlebnis, das ich empfehlen würde.

Ich besuchte Badshah mit vier Freunden. Wir sind alle Inder und hatten dort leider eine sehr respektlose Erfahrung. Wir hatten bereits bestellt und bezahlt, saßen an unserem Tisch und warteten auf unser Essen. Nach einiger Zeit kam die Besitzerin oder ihre Tochter zu uns und bat uns, unseren Tisch für weiße Gäste freizugeben, bis unser Essen käme. Wir lehnten höflich ab, da wir zuerst da waren, bereits bezahlt hatten und auf unser Essen warteten. Anstatt die Situation professionell zu lösen, wurde uns weder unser Essen serviert noch eine Rückerstattung angeboten. Wir verließen das Restaurant ohne Essen, ohne unser Geld zurückzubekommen und fühlten uns gedemütigt. Besonders enttäuschend war, dass es sich um ein indisches Restaurant handelt, das hauptsächlich von indischen Gästen besucht wird, und wir dennoch grundlos respektlos behandelt wurden. Ein Unternehmen kann nicht die Unterstützung der indischen Gemeinschaft erwarten, wenn es indische Gäste unfair behandelt. Diese Erfahrung war äußerst ärgerlich, und ich hoffe, die Geschäftsleitung versteht, dass jeder Gast unabhängig von seiner Nationalität oder Herkunft den gleichen Respekt verdient.

Eines der besten Restaurants für indisches Essen. Bei großem Andrang oder am Wochenende ist es etwas eng, aber das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und sorgt für eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich fände es gut, wenn sie ihre Speisekarte alle drei Monate aktualisieren würden, damit es immer wieder Neues zu entdecken gibt. Das Essen ist für den Preis wirklich gut.

Für mich der beste Ort in ganz Europa.

Ach, so ärgerlich! Ich bin heute 20 km gefahren, um Rasmalai für unsere Gäste zu holen. Im Laden habe ich es nicht geprüft, und als ich zu Hause ankam, war es total sauer und die Milch klumpig. Es war bereits verdorben. Totale Zeit- und Geldverschwendung.

Das Essen ist hervorragend. Der Gastraum ist zwar nicht zu groß, wirkt aber dennoch nicht beengt. Die Thalis sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Das ist das schlechteste Restaurant, das ich je gesehen habe. Man wurde überhaupt nicht begrüßt. Man muss sich selbst bedienen. Es schmeckt nach nichts. Die Preise sind zwar niedrig, aber die Qualität ist entsprechend schlecht. Das Mango-Lassi ist einfach nur Mango-Lassi und viel zu wässrig. Ich glaube, ich habe mein Geld verschwendet. Das ist meine Meinung.

Super leckeres, authentisches indisches Restaurant. Das Ambiente und das Restaurant selbst sind zwar schon etwas älter, aber wenn man weiß, worauf man sich einlässt, stört das überhaupt nicht. Das Essen ist wirklich überragend gut! Ich komme seit Jahren hierher und finde es immer noch richtig toll. Außerdem ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis einfach unschlagbar.

Wir waren in Hamburg und mussten unbedingt das Essen in diesem Restaurant probieren. Wir bestellten Chicken Thali, ein Bombay Sandwich und Chai. Alles hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Besonders angetan war ich aber vom Bombay Sandwich. Es ähnelte eher einem Pakora und war wirklich lecker, fast ohne Öl. Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Das Essen schmeckte in Ordnung, aber die Portionsgröße des Thalis war enttäuschend und für eine Person viel zu klein. Die Joghurtportion war extrem gering, kaum ein bis zwei Löffel. Wir bestellten sechs Thalis, und trotzdem musste jeder noch extra Naan bestellen. Der Geschmack war gut, aber die Menge muss deutlich verbessert werden.

Tolle Atmosphäre, ein sehr symphatisches, junges Geschwisterpaar als Serviceleute - aber mein Essen Hähnchenbrustfilet mit Currysauce hat mir leider nicht geschmeckt! Von der Menge her fand ich dass es viel zuwenig Hänchenfleisch war. 4, Höchstens 5 sehr kleine Stücke Fleisch 👎! Ob es überhaupt -wie in der Karte beschrieben- Hähnchenbrustfilet war wage ich zu bezweifeln. Es gab viel Reis und indisches Brot, von den Mengen her müsste es eher Reis mit indischem Brot und Hähnchenfleisch in Currysauce heissen. Ich finde daher auch den Preis von 10,00 Euro nicht gerechtfertigt! Wofür? Es ist Selfservice, das Hähnchenfleisch zu wenig und nicht geschmeckt... wofür stehen die 10,- Euro??? Dafür bekommt man in der Nachbarschaft schon gute Hähnchen Kebab. Sorry, wie gesagt das Serviceteam - das junge Geschwisterpaar- ist sehr symphatisch aber mein Begleiter und ich kommen nicht wieder hierher. Ich kann den ganzen Hype um diesen Laden nicht nachvollziehen 🤷‍♂️!

Das Essen war gar nicht indische . Obwohl dort viel Leute gab aber als indische ....das Essen schmeckt okay okay nicht so besonders oder etwas . Und dann Süßigkeiten waren nicht frisch Und super super oily.... Nicht gut My mood was ruined as my expectations were very high...but it was a dissapointed.

Immer wenn ich mit meinen „deutschen“ Kolleginnen und Kollegen beruflich in HH bin, ist der Laden Pflichtprogramm. Bis jetzt waren alle begeistert und der Unterschied zum eigenen Convenience-Inder war immer rauszuschmecken 😊

Was für ein interessanter Ort! Klein, voll, warm, laut, aber super authentisch und stimmungsvoll. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Man fühlt sich wie in einem indischen Dorf. Es gibt einen Teller mit verschiedenen Schälchen. Die Speisekarte ist nicht zu groß, daher ist alles frisch und lecker. 10 € für ein Hauptgericht zum Abendessen sind heutzutage selten. Das Essen ist scharf, aber gut! Nichts Besonderes, aber gemütlich und authentisch.

I can't really judge how authentic it is. And you certainly don't come here for the location; the decor and cleanliness are really just the bare minimum, and the neighborhood isn't exactly the best either. But the food is delicious, arrives quickly, and is very inexpensive. If you're only looking at the food, I don't think you'll find this kind of value for money anywhere else. It's not exactly a fancy place for a night out, but if you're already at the train station, it's a great spot to grab a quick and tasty meal or something to go. I'd go back anytime! :)

A cozy vibrant restaurant with local vibes, full with customers waiting for their turns, eating food and enjoying, have large varieties of veg and non veg options plus snacks like pakora Samosas

The food, service, and prices were excellent, but the portions are rather small, so if you're feeling hungrier, you should order an appetizer. The onion rings and the mango lassi are definitely recommended.

This small Indian restaurant serves food just like in India. It's not adapted to European tastes. Everything tastes fantastic. What a joy to eat here! Everything is freshly prepared. No cream. The staff are a well-coordinated team. The naan is delicious and crispy. The rice is also very fragrant. We'll be back! Price: good and reasonable.

We were two persons and first it’s very tough to get any place to sit and after that they refused to pay by card only cash if you have no cash you can’t get anything and after that samosa are full of oil as much as they can So, I never want to go there no more.

I had been to this restaurant which is located close to the train station and is walkable. Unfortunately me and my friend did not dine in or buy anything from there because we did not like the vibe inside. One of the guy inside didn't even bother to greet us and when we asked if it is open he nods his head. However we did not feel comfortable not sure why and we had to leave to look for another one.

Not so satisfying experience. I can cook better food at home. The side dishes like samosas were pretty good. That's it. Congested space so not enough space to sit there.

I don't really want to go there anymore. The atmosphere is too hectic for me, and the ambiance is rather depressing. It's not exactly cheap either. However, the food is divine, so I just can't seem to leave Badshah. Every time I'm in Hamburg, I eat there. Despite everything.

Very authentic food, amazing taste and big selection of meals and sweets. The mango lassi is delicious. Price is very reasonable and more on the cheap side. The staff, and owner are very friendly. We have been going to this place for years and absolutely love it. We love to get samosas and naans for takeout and freeze them at home to reheat them whenever we feel like it. They are so delicious. The overall atmosphere is very nice and friendly. Just make sure to not come at peak time if you want to dine-in, since you would have to wait a bit to get a seat.

Best Indian food in Germany 🇩🇪.

The ambiance is authentic for a snack bar. However, the surroundings don't exactly entice you to drive there. The dishes are served on stainless steel trays. The taste is good, but the quantity is really small – the price/performance ratio isn't right. The staff are friendly. Cash only – it's probably too difficult with cards (and the tax) ;-)

We absolutely love this place and come here regularly for a close-to-authentic Indian food. We think it's No. 1 place to visit when you are in Hamburg and love Indian food. Not only because the prices are affordable and the taste is great. The portions are pretty decent and I love that you don't need to reserve a place in advance. Sometimes it can get very full and loud. But this kind of adds more to the Ambiente. They also make the Panir cheese themselves and it tastes great. I didn't like the butter chicken. It just doesn't taste as an original. But the rest of their disused snacks (in 10 years we're tried them all) are delicious.

One of the most authentic restaurants I know, the prices are pretty reasonable for Hamburg standards (especially next to the main train station). The food I had wasn't spicy enough; I'll have to come back to try something new. The music is great, the walls are well-detailed, the staff is stressed but friendly. Overall, a unique place. I'd come back.
