BACCO in Frankfurt am Main

I can partially recommend this restaurant. The quality is OK here. I had penne with spicy tomato sauce and chicken breast. The penne was a bit overcooked. The chicken breast was excellent! The tomato sauce could have used a bit more seasoning. The service was very attentive and friendly. But then there's the price: I think €17.50 for this dish is a bit high. All in all: a pretty good restaurant!

I had a starter plate followed by a steak. The starter plate was very sparse: run-of-the-mill mozzarella, supermarket salami, vitello (dry as paper), some vegetables, and olives. The steak was cooked through – the waiter promised an Argentinian steak, but what arrived was a 200g rump steak. The vegetables on the plate were cold, and the potatoes were like chewing gum. With all due respect – the quality is subpar. The Lugana dei Frati costs €50 – €15 in a specialty store... Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is generally not right. €60 for generic food is more than excessive (+drinks!)

My favorite Italian in the Bahnhofsviertel! The cuisine is authentic Italian, the pasta with fresh truffles is my favorite, and the fish is also very good. The service is always great and the whole team is very friendly and dog-friendly too, we'll be happy to come back! :)

Chatted, smiled, and milled pepper for others—skipped Asians. Incredibly salty food, and as an Asian eldest child, I hate wasting food. Still, we left half a pizza uneaten—it was that bad. Thankfully, an elderly chef greeted us properly—only saving grace.

If you want to have a delicious, elegant and easy dinner, this is the perfect place. We went for the fixed menu dinner and really enjoyed it. I especially liked the meat with sauce and spinach. The mozzarella appetizer and pasta were also very tasty and light. Special thanks to Emmanuel for the excellent service. He is the best.

Great service and amazing food, the overal experience tonight was outstanding. The waiter and owner very securely noticed the level of service the guests required and never mist any detail during the night. The acoustics are good and the overal dinning experience was one to remember and return to when in Frankfurt again.

Nice menu options at lunchtime for reasonable prices. We have tried 2 different pastas (Gorgonzola sauce and salmon with vegetables), and they we all good. At night , we shared a pizza, and it was enough for both of us. Nice and attentive staff

The food was great. Atmosphere was ok. When ordering dessert, I could definitely feel the waitress was trying to up charge our meal, in an uncomfortable manner. Had to repeatedly turn down their suggestions to order what we wanted. It was when we got to the check that we experience became a very sour and killed the mood. The waitress, who only speaks Italian (conveniently when it became time for us to pay) said the credit card machine was “broken” and suggested that we could go to the cash machine outside. After we agreed to pay in cash, the waitress conveniently didn’t have enough change, so she kept the change. As we were leaving, she obviously was searching the table for an additional tip. Up until the check issue, we were looking forward to returning.

Kaiserstrasse in Frankfurt - I didn't expect to find such a nice pizzeria here. Very nice, personal service, professionally helped out of the coat, attentive, very good food that was slightly different from usual pizzerias, sufficient vegetarian food. We had three very nice evenings during my business trip to Frankfurt.

Don’t go here if you’re an English speaking tourist. The staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. Originally we were given menus then they were taken away and we were told we could only order a prefixed menu (80 euro pp). Everyone else who was in the restaurant were able to order from the menu… It appeared that we were the only tourists in the restaurant.

I haven't had pizza this good in a long time. The pizzas were so big that my wife and I couldn't finish them all. The base is crispy, generously topped and for under €15... Really delicious too. We will definitely come back again.

First day in Frankfurt, we looked for an Italian restaurant.... before ordering they welcomed us with a very good velvety soup, very attentive service, good first courses and excellent meat, good espresso coffee, at the end dessert offered by the house... bill honest.

Found this little place as I was walking around the neighborhood and made plans that evening to try it out . I had the seafood tagliatoni.. Great mixture of seafood in a spicy tomato sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly and combined well with the morsels of seafood. I would definitely go back just to try some of the other menu items. Service was great and atmosphere divine .. 🇮🇹

Unaufdringlich, aber mit Charme, waren Großvater und Enkel gute Gastgeber. Man empfahl uns, die Bestellung zu reduzieren - wir waren vermutlich zu hungrig ins Lokal gekommen. Unser Flaschenwein wurde uns gegen Ende des Abends glasweise angeboten, was wir als sehr entgegenkommend empfanden. Vorspeise und Hauptgericht waren picobello. Das Lokal ist sauber und ordentlich. Ob wir ohne Empfehlung dort gelandet wären, weiß ich nicht - das ist schon eine lustige Ecke in Frankfurt. Wir kommen jedenfalls gerne wieder.

Es war kalt, das Restaurant war schlecht geheizt. Wir hätten gleich gehen sollen, kannten uns in der Innenstadt jedoch nicht aus und sind geblieben. Ein als Salat bezeichneter Teller mit 9 Blättchen Rucola und einer Kugel Mozarella à 14,50 EUR sind eine Frechheit. Wir werden nie wieder dort essen. Die beiden Nudelgerichte waren auch sehr bescheiden im Umfang.

Fantastic Italian cuisine and a great ambience! This pizzeria is an absolute must for anyone who loves authentic Italian food. The pizza was perfectly prepared - thin, crispy base, fresh ingredients and the taste was to die for. The homemade pasta was also to die for! The service was attentive and friendly, the staff exuded real Italian hospitality. The restaurant itself is cozy and tastefully decorated, you immediately feel at home. Particularly recommended is the Pizza Margherita, which is reminiscent of the best pizzas in Naples. We will definitely be back – a real highlight in the region!

The restaurant is located 5 minutes away from Frankfurt Central Station, just next to our hotel. We didn't want to look for restaurants everywhere, so we tried this one. The staff provided proactive and courteous service with friendly smiles. We directly asked the clerk if they could provide us with cat ears in cream sauce. He said that their restaurant had this pasta that could be specially made for us. The environment, food and service are very good and worth recommending.

Been here again at lunchtime. There is a changing lunch menu that includes soup and dessert. The service is courteous, the food is good. My favorite is the Bacco salad from the regular menu.

Das Essen war gut, aber das ist auch schon alles.Der Chef wollte unbedingt die teuersten Gerichte verkaufen, und wurde dabei dann auch leicht unangenehm. Das Glas Prosecco wurde dann zur Strafe auch nur Halb voll serviert. Bei dem Bezahlen der Rechnung ging er dann noch mal aufs Ganze: erst verlangte er mehrmals Barnzahlung und dann energisch 5 Euro Trinkgeld. Unangenehmer Typ.

We were here two years ago and it was nice. Now the staff has changed and the service was very limited. The first drink order was only possible with the food order, meaning many in the group waited more than 30 minutes for drinks. There was no request for a repeat order and one waiter was very harsh in his communication. Payment by card was not possible. However, the lasagne was still really good for a fair price. Unfortunately, the staff definitely doesn't anymore.

So from a technical point of view, this was really a disgrace. At first the waiter was obviously not happy that we were taking longer to order, then he looked at the ceiling and took my order. Well, I thought to myself, he does it every day. After 5 minutes he came back seriously and wanted to know the numbers from us. That was really an unparalleled outrage. The food itself wasn't anything special, but my night was over in the toilet at 3:30 because I obviously couldn't tolerate the lasagne.

After a two-week stay in Asia, I urgently needed some gastronomic variety. As a non-Frankfurt resident, I followed a friend's recommendation and had dinner at BACCO. The restaurant is located in the train station district of Frankfurt, which doesn't necessarily have the best reputation. It was all the greater my surprise to come across an authentic Italian restaurant here. Food and service were very good.

I have called at least 10 times and have written countless e-mails to get written confirmation of the reservation. I failed to receive it, and yesterday my boss and his staff found themselves with the table occupied by others and forced to go to another restaurant. Shame on them! That's no way to work. Go elsewhere..

Very nice visit with friends. Luckily reserved a table as was full at downstairs all evening. Service was very polite and professional. We took some common Antipasti plate and main dishes Pasta and Pizza. They were great taste, good sizes. Atmosphere very Italian. Will come again, when ever in Frankfurt.

Wir waren im Oktober 2024 dort mit Freunden essen, Vorspeisen waren in Ordnung, die Pasta als Hauptgang auch ok, aber was uns dort als Pizza serviert worden war eine Basis aus rohem Teig mit Käse, der dem restlichen Belag keine Chance gegeben hat. Drei Leute hatten Pizza bestellt, alle 3 Pizzen gingen fast unberührt zurück, keiner von Personal hat uns daraufhin angesprochen, ob es nicht geschmeckt hat. Ich hätte mich als Kellner schon gewundert wenn drei von drei die Pizza wieder zurückgehen. Bezahlen durften wir und das auch nicht wenig. Ich muss leider sagen, es ist mehr Schein als Sein.

Ate the best porcini pasta here. Stunning place away from the hubbub of the main city road. Staff attentive, Italian being spoken around the restaurant with staff and clientele. Fair price, delicious offerings. Recommended!

Really good food for the price!

The food is good, the staff generally friendly. Yesterday we found a pizza on our bill for €11.50 that we hadn't even eaten. The waiter initially only wanted to refund us €2.50 (!!??). When we insisted on a full refund for the incorrectly charged pizza, he then paid out €11.50. Local is not recommended!!

Similar experience to what we can read in other reviews. The waiter doesn't want to cut the bill in two. We order for 45 euros, we find ourselves paying 58 euros and having an invoice for 54 euros which has nothing to do with the order. We were also two French colleagues. Obviously they take French workers for pigeons.

The restaurant is located in the Bahnhofsviertel on Kaiserstrasse. You can eat in the restaurant or outside in front of the house. Now during the European Championships you could even follow the games on television. There is not a long wait between ordering and delivery to the table.

Éramos un grupo de 10 , y cuando aparecimos, nos dijeron que esa noche solo habría un menú fijo, y no habría pizzas disponibles. El menú era de 59 o 79 euros, dependiendo del número de platos que se incluyeran. No había habido información en el sitio web, y no se nos había informado sobre esto, a pesar de que habíamos enviado un correo electrónico al restaurante en varias ocasiones para reservar la mesa. Se produjo una discusión y aunque se llegó a un compromiso, la reacción inicial fue "bien basta con irse". La comida es muy buena, el servicio sin embargo es TERRIBLE.

Auswahl: Tagliolini im Parmesanleib und schwarzen Trüffel; Pizza Calabrese. Beide Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut, die Pizza, wie angekündigt sehr scharf. Die Portionen waren sehr angenehm und reichlich. Aperitifs waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Anfangs sehr ruhig, aber als sich das Lokal füllte, sehr laut. Das Personal war fast zu motiviert. Teilweise 4 Kellner für einen Tisch. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Simply great! The pizzas had a super crispy and stable, but still very soft and very tasty dough. The decor was very nice and the staff was very attentive and friendly. All in all a good 5 stars!

This is a restaurant with a nice streetside atmosphere. There is seating inside and outside. The prices are also reasonable. The hors d'oeuvres and salads are sized for 2 or 3 people, so if you are coming alone, we recommend ordering pizza, pasta, meat, or fish main dishes directly.

I ended my trip to Germany with this restaurant and I have no regrets about choosing this place. I remember that carbonara pasta is that delicious. But the cleanliness service wasn't great. First of all, they gave us bread before the meal, and one of the bread had eyelashes on it, and since we were eating outside, we had to take into account that it was right next to the road, so it was dusty. Please note that all the dishes are already prepared ^^ So, please keep in mind that it is a dusty mess. Everything here takes cash, so make sure to bring cash with you. If you have a card, there is a paid ATM next to the store, so don't worry too much. They didn't ask for a tip when paying and the service was done with a smile until the end.

Beautifully decorated restaurant on Kaiserstrasse. The service was quick and good. I can recommend the lunch menu. You get a small starter salad with your main course and a dessert or espresso afterwards.

The pizza wasn't really tasty. Dry cheese dough, chewy and not tasty. The price was cheap, but too expensive for the bad pizza. We were immediately advised to get a 0.75l bottle of water, which already cost €7.50. We will never eat here again.

Particularly pleasing is the small surprise appetizer that is served free of charge. I ordered the pork medallions with fresh mushrooms and rosemary potatoes - a real treat! A small highlight is the special steak knife. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. The restaurant is highly recommended because of its excellent cuisine and moderate prices. A special experience in the middle of Frankfurt's train station district!

Rarely have I had such good spaghetti pesto and my husband spaghetti Bolognese. The service was really quick but also reserved. Just great.

We were looking for a place to have lunch on Sunday with the family. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered pizza, fish soup and baked salmon. The food was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo, but the portions are large.
