BACCO in Frankfurt am Main

Wir waren im Oktober 2024 dort mit Freunden essen, Vorspeisen waren in Ordnung, die Pasta als Hauptgang auch ok, aber was uns dort als Pizza serviert worden war eine Basis aus rohem Teig mit Käse, der dem restlichen Belag keine Chance gegeben hat. Drei Leute hatten Pizza bestellt, alle 3 Pizzen gingen fast unberührt zurück, keiner von Personal hat uns daraufhin angesprochen, ob es nicht geschmeckt hat. Ich hätte mich als Kellner schon gewundert wenn drei von drei die Pizza wieder zurückgehen. Bezahlen durften wir und das auch nicht wenig. Ich muss leider sagen, es ist mehr Schein als Sein.

The restaurant is located in the Bahnhofsviertel on Kaiserstrasse. You can eat in the restaurant or outside in front of the house. Now during the European Championships you could even follow the games on television. There is not a long wait between ordering and delivery to the table.

Great service! Pre-ordered and picked up two pizzas within 10 minutes today. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the waitresses are very accommodating! Gladly again

Éramos un grupo de 10 , y cuando aparecimos, nos dijeron que esa noche solo habría un menú fijo, y no habría pizzas disponibles. El menú era de 59 o 79 euros, dependiendo del número de platos que se incluyeran. No había habido información en el sitio web, y no se nos había informado sobre esto, a pesar de que habíamos enviado un correo electrónico al restaurante en varias ocasiones para reservar la mesa. Se produjo una discusión y aunque se llegó a un compromiso, la reacción inicial fue "bien basta con irse". La comida es muy buena, el servicio sin embargo es TERRIBLE.

Die Speisekarte und Getränkekarte ist vielfältig und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Dazu gibt es noch Tipps für Tagesspezialitäten. Unsere. Auswahl: Tagliolini im Parmesanleib und schwarzen Trüffel; Pizza Calabrese. Beide Gerichte waren geschmacklich sehr gut, die Pizza, wie angekündigt sehr scharf. Die Portionen waren sehr angenehm und reichlich. Aperitifs waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Anfangs sehr ruhig, aber als sich das Lokal füllte, sehr laut. Das Personal war fast zu motiviert. Teilweise 4 Kellner für einen Tisch. Preis/Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Restaurant ok but nothing more.... On the other hand, the boss was insulting at the bill, it was not possible to cut the bill in two (business trip with a colleague), he more than lost his temper, "I hate French People", 4 times in a row.... a shame... I strongly advise against this establishment

Simply great! The pizzas had a super crispy and stable, but still very soft and very tasty dough. The decor was very nice and the staff was very attentive and friendly. All in all a good 5 stars!

This is a restaurant with a nice streetside atmosphere. There is seating inside and outside. The prices are also reasonable. The hors d'oeuvres and salads are sized for 2 or 3 people, so if you are coming alone, we recommend ordering pizza, pasta, meat, or fish main dishes directly.

They presented a pre-made menu (starters, a meat or fish dish, dessert, coffee), without being able to choose other dishes, costing €65. When paying, they added the cost of table service, totaling €82.5 each! Good food, good atmosphere, bad for overexploiting customers! I ended my trip to Germany with this restaurant and I have no regrets about choosing this place. I remember that carbonara pasta is that delicious. But the cleanliness service wasn't great. First of all, they gave us bread before the meal, and one of the bread had eyelashes on it, and since we were eating outside, we had to take into account that it was right next to the road, so it was dusty. Please note that all the dishes are already prepared ^^ So, please keep in mind that it is a dusty mess. Everything here takes cash, so make sure to bring cash with you. If you have a card, there is a paid ATM next to the store, so don't worry too much. They didn't ask for a tip when paying and the service was done with a smile until the end.

Had to Torteloni Alla Panna - wasn't anything special. Finished with Tiramisu - good - and an espresso.

Were warmly welcomed straight away, very friendly, attentive staff. The food was also very good, although the pizza could have tasted a little “fresher”. Still everything tasted good and the salami wasn't skimped on either 😃 a great price/performance ratio. Worth a recommendation!🌞

Beautifully decorated restaurant on Kaiserstrasse. The service was quick and good. I can recommend the lunch menu. You get a small starter salad with your main course and a dessert or espresso afterwards.

The pizza wasn't really tasty. Dry cheese dough, chewy and not tasty. The price was cheap, but too expensive for the bad pizza. We were immediately advised to get a 0.75l bottle of water, which already cost €7.50. We will never eat here again.

The Bacco restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt's train station district shows that there is another way! This neat, upscale Italian restaurant impresses with white tablecloths, even outside, and condiments on every table. The service is extremely friendly and quick, and the restaurant manager is always present to ensure that all guests are satisfied. The pleasant background music with Italian songs creates a wonderful atmosphere. The menu is extensive and offers something for every taste. Particularly pleasing is the small surprise appetizer that is served free of charge. I ordered the pork medallions with fresh mushrooms and rosemary potatoes - a real treat! A small highlight is the special steak knife. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. The restaurant is highly recommended because of its excellent cuisine and moderate prices. A special experience in the middle of Frankfurt's train station district!

Rarely have I had such good spaghetti pesto and my husband spaghetti Bolognese. The service was really quick but also reserved. Just great.

We were looking for a place to have lunch on Sunday with the family. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered pizza, fish soup and baked salmon. The food was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo, but the portions are large.

Beware of fraud!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to have a nice meal here this evening and watch football, which wasn't possible there at all, I've never seen such an unsympathetic waiter, I worked in the catering industry myself, but the management was so disrespectful and unprofessional and should consider using the little older gentleman as a waiter. Unfortunately, there is a “own” menu for the European Championships, where the food prices are €5-7 more expensive than usual. For example, drinks are not on the menu at all and you have to ask for the price. What a shame! As a resident of the Bahnhofsviertel, I always enjoyed going there!

Be careful, there is an overpriced extra ticket for the European Championships! Pizza costs €5 more than normal! No drinks menu! Better not to go

Food was very tasty. Service sometimes a bit questionable. She assigns us a seat and even though there isn't much going on, the waitress walks past us several times and doesn't even give us the card. In general, it felt like you were being disturbed if you wanted to ask something or call the waiter over. (The woman was very nice, not all the waitresses were like that) But at some point I thought: if they ignore us again then we'll get up and leave (after sitting there for 15 minutes without a card or drinks)

Never experienced anything like this! As part of a company event, we made reservations for 35 people - a month in advance! Reservation was also confirmed in writing. When we showed up they said “There is no reservation”. Then after showing the emails, all of a sudden. But then the staff was more than unfriendly and ignorant, even though THEY HAD MADE THE MISTAKE. Space was somehow created behind public viewing TVs, which is absolutely unacceptable for a company event as you can hardly have a conversation due to the volume! Absolutely not recommended!!!

Loud and completely overpriced for the EM. You get a few pieces of paper as a card with prices that are far higher than the prices on the normal menu. Pizza +4 Eur, dessert +3 Eur, ... You don't have to have it again.

My review was removed from google recently. I did visit this place 3 years ago as we were on vacation and probably the worst service I have ever had,the supervisor was rude and racist.Food was below average,avoid visiting this place !

a great restaurant with excellent service. The pasta was super fresh and very tasty. Fresh pasta made from a parmesan wheel with truffles was a hit. Visited twice on our weekend trip and if I come to Frankfurt again I will definitely go there again.

Turistfælde, dårlig service og smagsløs pastaret. Tjeneren var langtid om at komme til bord. Efter pasta blev serveret så jeg dem ikke før det lykkes mig at bede om en regning. Da jeg havde ventet 10 min på regning spurgte tjeneren om der skulle tillægges drikkepenge på regning, og forslog selv et beløb svarende til 20%

Very friendly staff and I had the best pesto sauce so far, even in Piedmont I didn't have such a good sauce. I can recommend it to everyone. 訪独１週間の最後の夜に接待を兼ねて行きました。ピザ・マルガリータとカルパッチオを前菜として、揚げたシーフードの盛り合わせとお肉をいただきました。自分で選んだカベルネソーヴィニオン（赤）も美味しかったのですが、薦めていただいたブルネッロ・ディ・モンタルチーノ　2017年がとても美味しかったです。お店の方も大変気さくでイタリアにいるかのような錯覚を起こしました。一番感激したのはグラッパでした。Berta社のブリック・デル・ガイアン　2015年、感動しました。今の日本人にとっては若干高く感じますが、決してぼったくりではなく、雰囲気も味も素晴らしく、最後の夜をしめくくるのに最適なお店でした。また行きたいと思います。

I ate here and the first time the waiter was super friendly and the lasagna was amazing. Great experience. Second time I ate here because I wasn’t feeling the other parts of the strip and figured I’d had a good experience before. It was awful, their “Margherita pizza” was just a cheap low quality cheese, the man lied to me saying cash only after I ordered even though I had paid in card the day before and tried to force me to use an ATM to pay him cash. Then he tried to force me to tip him after some very bad service. I was a waiter for years in college, I always tip 20% unless I’m very angry. Lie to me about having to pay cash? Screw this dishonest crappy little wannabe Italian joint.

Had dinner there with a larger group of girls. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was really good, but the waiters were very strange. A younger one kept making really stupid jokes, which made you feel really attacked as a person. Afterwards there was an argument between two waiters because the older one wanted to clean the parmesan cheese with a cloth, which would probably have been full of fibers, but the younger waiter wouldn't allow it. Arguments like that in front of customers... we probably won't go there again.

Too good to be true! This restaurant is a haven of good food! The ambience is sensational! The food couldn't be described in words! Jimmy's service was very attentive, as were his colleagues Manuel and Miguel from time to time ;) ahh yes Holly cow! – The toilet is immaculately clean.!!!!€ A successful evening.

I'm sorry but we just ate one of the most mediocre pizza of our life. No mozzarella, raw onions, very basic ham, veggies were uncooked. Salty.

We visited bacco shortly before work. Nevertheless, we received a friendly welcome, the service was great and the food was delicious. We are completely satisfied and will definitely come back and of course will always be happy to recommend BACCO. Thanks to the entire staff

The food tasted quite good, the spaghetti (€28.50) was rather bad if I put that in relation to the price, because you can get better spaghetti for a better price elsewhere. And the quantity wasn't particularly large either. Wasn't even really full. If I pay the price, I expect something extraordinary in terms of taste because I'm paying an extraordinary price. So I don't have to go there anymore. Had a portion of spaghetti, a small soup and a water €45 plus tip, which is what they expect. Better go eat somewhere else.

Delicious food and beer for the price

We were here and ate outside. But there is also the option of sitting in the restaurant (indoor). The atmosphere was cozy. Even though the street was right next to us, the atmosphere was very nice - in other words, what was happening on the street didn't really bother us (the restaurant just caught our attention so well ;P). The waiters were very nice and friendly. The food was very good, but also expensive. We each ordered a meal (meat+rice, pasta with tomato sauce and vegetables), a bottle of water, and one of the nice waiters brought me a non-alcoholic sparkling wine and the other person a beer. What I particularly liked was that when I couldn't find anything on the menu that immediately appealed to me, the waiter asked me what I wanted. I told him, and then I basically got my very own dish - exactly what I wanted. What we didn't like was: The person I was eating with wanted the meat “well done”. The waiter said that medium rare was very good. My companion then repeatedly expressed the wish that he would rather get the meat through. However, the waiter maintained that medium was very good and said that my companion should try it. Expressing the wish again that I would rather have the meat "done" didn't change anything. My companion then got the meat really medium rare, which wasn't so pleasing. There are times when it may be okay to persuade someone to try this or that, but not when entertaining customers.

The food was very good and the waitress served us with a lot of joy and humor. It was the ideal end to an evening at the opera.

Decent cuisine, friendly service, however the bill is not that of the ticket, we paid 56€ instead of the 51€ on the ticket, but of course they didn't tell us anything when paying and unfortunately we didn't didn't look at the ticket on site We don't know if there were additional fees but it was neither on the ticket like in Italy nor announced, so it smacks of a scam...

A clear 5 star restaurant!!! I have never seen such an attentive and hard-working team as here at Bacco. I enter the restaurant and am immediately taken to a suitable table. Glass was empty - it was refilled immediately. Bottle was empty - new bottle came. We always made sure that we were happy and that everything was fine. A big compliment also to the boss, who cares about his guests and had a very positive influence on the stay with his open and honest manner. The food was also more than successful. I had the parmesan pasta and a mixed starter platter, both of which were very elegantly and clearly presented. I would definitely like to come here again

We ate at BACCO for the first time this afternoon. Ordered two lunch menus and can only say good things. The service was very attentive and drinks and food were at the table very quickly. The lunch menu also included a small salad for around €15, and after the main course we even got a small panna cotta on the house. The 4-cheese pizza was very tasty, especially the crust! The pasta with tomato cream sauce, vegetables and beef was also very tasty and a real treat. We felt comfortable and can only recommend the restaurant. The two of us paid not quite €45 for drinks - with salad, main course and small dessert on the house - you really can't complain about the quality. The only deduction I would give is the location. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, apart from the location on this slightly questionable street.

The pasta is delicious! The pizza is a little salty! The clerk is handsome and kind! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but it's a bit crowded and lively.

Restaurant ok but nothing more. We were there with my colleagues as part of a trade fair. Slightly aggressive waiter who forced my colleague to take 1 bottle of red wine, even though he only asked for a glass as an aperitif... the food is good, the service would be more cordial, etc. smiles...

Great place. I only gave it 4 because I only had pizza and some delicious Italian beer. The pizza had white asparagus and thin sliced bacon with butter, hollandaise sauce with a creamy cheese. It was delicious. I'd love to go back one day to eat more so I can go full out!

We ordered from their seasonal menu and got the White Pizza: Spargel & Schinken with Hollandaise. Sooooo good!!! Highly recommend. Even their free bread starter was so tasty, but that's Germany for you!

Nice place, nice friendly staff and food (seafood pizza) was good. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but good. Personally, the service was too much for me. Eating in peace wasn't because someone was constantly pouring water, wanting to season the food or asking if it was right. I don't need that every minute. Only when we were finished, suddenly no one was there anymore ;-). All in all, highly recommended!

I was there today as a “tourist”. Shorts, running shoes, shirt and backpack. After the outside area filled up a bit, I felt very underdressed. :) I ordered a pizza, it was very tasty, the base was thin, crispy, and the toppings were of good quality. After a long and cold, wet day in Frankfurt we stopped at Bacco. The food came quite quickly and was tasty. We sat next to the entrance door and unfortunately it was constantly being opened by the employees! opened and left open. We had to get up and close the door 4-5 times during dinner. Even after we mentioned it to the staff a second time that it felt very cold when the door was open, they left it open again. There was no apparent reason why the waiters kept opening the door. Although it felt like there were more waiters than guests in the restaurant, we sat there with empty glasses for at least 30 minutes and even when we wanted to pay we couldn't find a waiter. We won't come anymore. It's a shame because the food was good.

A real Italian restaurant, with Italian service in the center of Frankfurt. Elegant decor, wonderful atmosphere and music make you feel like in Italy. Phenomenal food and service. We ordered the Bacco specialty pizza and the chocolate soufflé and we were not disappointed. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely come back.

Unfortunately the truffle pasta was terrible, no truffles at all. Very dissappointing, I barely touched it. Not worth the price. The service was okay, they don't really check how is everything during the meal and at the end they didn't even care the pasta was terrible.

It is a very nice restaurant, we liked its vibes, the food is very delicious, and the staff were absolutely nice and polite. We ordered the mozzarella gnocchi, the truffle pasta, the mixed grill sea food, and the zucchini risotto (with less salt) all was delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED The restaurant is very pleasant and beautiful. The staff are very friendly, even with children, and the food is delicious, but it is preferable to order it with less salt. We ordered truffle pasta, risotto with zucchini and shrimp, gnocchi with mozzarella, and seafood grills. I highly recommend it.
