Absolutely loved the appetizers and the Korean barbecue. Pleasant atmosphere, very satisfied!

The food was to die for. We thought you would get the individual foods and then you would add them to the pan one at a time. But everything was mixed together right at the beginning. But it wasn't a problem. The food was to die for and the beef was super tender and so tasty that you almost went into a eating frenzy. Of course, this also comes at a hefty price. However, I don't find the restaurant particularly comfortable.

Super friendly staff. Warm, cosy atmosphere. The food gets put on the grill for you and you’re told when it’s ready. Salad wraps provided, rice and dips. Great fun.

Food was delicious and service was kind. Beef and Chicken BBQ was very tasty and I especially liked the variety of dipping sauces! The interior design made for a great atmosphere. If you are looking for a nice and chill place to eat around Mehringdamm, make sure to check out this gem.

Barbeque was rich and delicious

I and my friend ordered 1 Vegetarian BBQ and 1 Octopus BBQ. Total 22.50€ x 2 = 45€. The Vegetarian BBQ has only 6 pieces of Tofu + glass noodles!!! Seriously?? They do not even offer mushrooms. This is a very poor setup for a BBQ portion. Besides BBQ, 1 sort of salad and 7 sorts of sauces are offered but to be honest, i never eat all of these sauces. Why don't they just offer a sauce buffet corner, let customers choose their favorite sauce, avoiding waste of left-over sauce. I would not recommend you to go with Vegetarian BBQ. Even though it tastes ok but the diversity of materials is mediocre 🥲

My friend and I ordered Vegetarian BBQ and octopus BBQ (they put together on the plate). There are only 6 pieces of tofus with a litlte glass noodle (side dishes like sauces and salad included). The diversity of Vegetarian BBQ is mediocre. Why not tofu and some mushrooms? For me its crazily boring if they just offer me tofus and charged 22.50€ per person. Would NOT recommend you to go with Vegetarian BBQ. Taste of food is above average but not that great for such prices.

I ordered a burger with salmon, it took 30-40 minutes to prepare, when my friends had already eaten everything, they brought it to me already on a wet bun and what a surprise I was that the salmon had thick bones! I found that unacceptable - when the burger costs 17 euros. But the waitress said it was normal, took it away in the end with a dissatisfied face, but apparently didn't hear that I didn't want this dish anymore, and after 10 minutes brought me a "new burger" with raw fish. When we finished our "dinner", my dish was complete except for the fact that I had once bitten into a raw burger, the waiter silently took the plate away without even asking what the reason was and why I hadn't eaten it. As a result, the burger was not taken off the bill. But I really didn't want to argue and ruin my mood. but I will never come here again and tell my friends) This attitude towards people is very disturbing.

Very good Place for Korean BBQ. We’ve had the beef bulgogi and another beef and it was just delicious. Definitely to recommend! 👍

Good Korean restaurant, I always come back willingly.

Great tableside bulgogi grilling; Not everything is as you might know it from Seoul (such as the unlimited delivery of some side dishes). But to be honest, this doesn't happen always and everywhere in Korea either. This isn't a real problem because there's actually little risk of staying hungry. It's definitely a nice event with nice flavors and great dips.

Our daughter wanted to celebrate her 15th birthday here today. Despite our reservation and punctuality, she was received unfriendly, not accompanied to the reserved table but thrown out because we (parents) were late (by 10 minutes). With the words "Who knows when they will come" - they sent them onto the streets. Of course, our daughter and we didn't want to go there anymore and spent our money in a hospitable restaurant nearby.

It was okay. However, it has little or nothing to do with Korean food. There was no kimchi in the kimchi pajeon (only Chinese cabbage). Possibly passes for fusion cuisine with Korean inspiration. Ambience and service nice. Conclusion: Well, I tried it.

A bit warm inside but 10/10 Korean barbecue

One of the better Korean places in Berlin. Very good Bibimbap and crispy chicken, quick turnaround for lunch time, adequate prices. I was there more than 20 times and never had a complaint.

as an asian person who’s been to korea and grew up with koreans, this place is a really poor representation of korean bbq. the side dishes are not fresh, doused with sweet sauces (one tasted mexican). the meat was marinated with lots of sugar and the flavour was not authentic at all. nice outdoor area in the summer though.

The taste is not convincing at all. Has nothing to do with authentic Korean BBQ.

I visited Berlin to attend a conference and came to eat here for the first time on September 3 to have a dinner together with my other 2 colleagues since the restaurant is quite near the conference venue. There were 1 waiter and 1 waitress and the food as well as service was good in that evening. The next day (Sept 4), I came here again with 1 colleague for a late lunch at around 15:00. The food was good, even though we had to wait longer than when we had the dinner the day before and there was no other customer in the restaurant but us. It was alright until I had to pay for the food. The waitress had the audacity to charge me for a server tip, but at the same time she did not do it to my colleague. Why is this?? I thought Berlin, Germany is in EU, not in the USA where diners/eaters are obligated to pay for the waiter's tip. This is very disappointing!

We had a lovely evening at BABIKYU. The food was very good and the employees were nice. We chose the Korean BBQ twice. Rice and other side dishes are supposedly delivered several times. Unfortunately, this took an extremely long time for us. When the BBQ was served, you could no longer cook yourself, it was already ready and was basically just used to keep the food warm, otherwise like a regular dish (i.e. you could have saved yourself the effort with two grills at the table). Here, too, it took an enormously long time until we received supplies. The ambience, especially the outdoor area on Bergmannstr. are very beautiful.

The place is located in a nice neighborhood, the fold was great and overall we had a nice experience. The downsides are that it's a bit expensive, and some of the waiters didn't speak English.

Good option for lunch in the Bergmannkiez. There were three of us and luckily we got a free table straight away. The service was quick and friendly, and the food also came promptly. We had two vegetarian bowls and one crispy chicken and were all satisfied. Gladly again soon!

The food was ok, service was dreadful! We went yesterday for late lunch and the waitress brought the main dish before the starter, when he arrived with the plate I said "hey sorry, but we ordered starters", his response was "it was ready first". After my surprise and try tell "but starters are starters" his response was literally "what do you want me to do" followed by "if I take it back, it is gonna be cold later".........Like really?? Kidding? I also work in gastronomy and it is for far the most unjustified rude service, the restaurant was completely empty, we were the unique table, because wasn't rush hour. I understand this responses when is rush hour, kitchen collapses and you have so many costumers 🤷 but was not the scenario. Afterwards when he brought the other plates he left it roughly on the table, ofc pissed. Finally his colleague came for the bill, she was nice. The food was ok, chicken winds were tasty but noodles were overcooked. Space inside is interesting.

Only recommended! Super delicious food, everything served fresh. The ambience is right, you just feel comfortable and enjoy the evening. The service is excellent, the entire staff is very customer-oriented, friendly and fulfills all wishes. I'll definitely be back. 5 stars well deserved!

The food was, as always, good, but the service had deteriorated significantly since my last visit and seemed very unprofessional. The 3 dishes came to an empty restaurant about 10 minutes apart. The first main course even before the starter. The waitress responded to an irritated query with extreme arrogance and then passively aggressively placed each additional dish on the table without comment. Good beef ribs can be found in a more friendly manner elsewhere.

Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. But I had the feeling that when it got more crowded, the mood of 1-2 employees was very annoyed. That's too bad. We were also told the wrong thing about the grill plate. We wanted half spicy and the other half not. Unfortunately that went wrong, so there was hardly anything left for me (who doesn't eat spicy food). Please pay more attention to this and be happy about every guest, because this will ensure that the restsurants are preserved.

Rustic corner restaurant. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Food was very fresh and tasty. Korean comfort food with its own twist. The highlight for me was the homemade yuzu lemonade. Gladly again.

the table bbq is extremely delicious. For the vegetarian one, a lot of tofu but marinated really well. Between the two of us, we were full and didn't even manage to do everything. The service was a bit cold at first, but became much friendlier towards the end. will come again!

Great shop, drinks are great and service is good. Had chicken and the table grill. The chicken was very good, but the table grill was unfortunately less impressive. The things came already grilled and you weren't allowed to grill yourself, like with other Koreans. Plus, the meat just wasn't seasoned that well and didn't taste like much. Super satisfying lunch break! We liked both dishes chosen. The service was kind and fast. Thanks to the good weather we were able to eat at one of the tables outside. I recommend it

It's a really nice Korean restaurant. The beef literally melts in your mouth and the ribs are easy to suck off the bone. The bibimbap is also absolutely delicious and definitely worth a try. The price is quite reasonable for the taste and abundance of the dishes. The ambience is simply stunning and the waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely eat here again.

The food doesn't taste Korean, if you want authentic Korean food, you'd better go somewhere else. The ramen was unseasoned and tasteless. The noodles were overcooked. The service could be improved, you had to draw a lot of attention to yourself. The waiters didn't approach you on their own initiative. Inappropriate price.

Delicious Korean food in Kreuzberg? Here you eat right. Also with your own grill at the table (from 2 people). Despite being almost fully booked, hardly any waiting times. The dishes were on the table after 12 and a half minutes. Attentive staff. Prices are okay, it's a tourist district. I'd love to go there again.

Hello, It was super tasty. We each have Korean Chicken/Beef. The grill stove was interesting. The sauces were very tasty. The vegetables were also delicious. Sometimes a bit too spicy. It's best to get there by subway/sbahn as parking spaces are poor. Worth a recommendation

The food was super tasty, we had a Korean BBQ (that's why you should come here) with pork and beef mixed. Great taste👌🏼. Side dishes include rice, salad, kimchi and 7 different sauces. The supplements can be reordered free of charge. Price performance is therefore top. About €22 per person for the BBQ. They also explain how the whole thing works and how you should eat Korean BBQ, but it's up to you whether you do it that way. A nice experience with great taste

Recently the three of us went to this Korean restaurant and my two friends decided to have a table grill. I, on the other hand, ordered the traditional dish bibimbap. I had barely finished my bibimbap when my friends were finally served their long-awaited table grill. So it happened that we had to enjoy our meal in two stages, which was a real shame. The quality of the food was good, but the timing... well, it definitely needed improvement!

Quite tasty, but I didn't like the sauce, it felt like it was too little or lacked spiciness. Overall tasty if you're not too picky. The staff is very polite and asked how we liked it. Be sure to try the tea, they are all delicious, especially the ginger tea. Overall I recommend coming here, it's a really great place.

Its fine, but everything we ordered didn't have a Korean palette. From the Banchan, which you can see is all mixed on one plate, and also didn't taste like the typical Banchan (side dishes), they were sourish? Like sour kraut?!?, to the rice, which was long grain rice, also in one bowl, and the BBQ was sweet even with the spicy pork belly, and there was no Korean dipping sauces, they were a weird mix of something that tasted like Big Mac sauce and mayo.. No typical sesame oil and salt dip for the meats, and no drainage for the BBQ so everything was wet and not grilled. Would not recommend if you're looking for an authentic Korean restaurant, but if you want some edible BBQ then sure. If you don't know Korean food you may like it. Honestly, it's not bad in the grand scheme of Berlin Korean food. I've seen places with 4.6 and 2k reviews that put goddamn tomato soup in their soondubu ... Not surprised but felt compelled to add a review as it was not a Korean place to me. Edit: Seems like my review got flagged so I am reposting.

Unfortunately not particularly authentic in my opinion. But thanks to the friendly staff and a good food presentation concept, it is still a recommendation.

Nice bibimbap with actual hot pot, so you actually get the rice crust. I don’t see that in most of the Korean restaurants in Berlin. Personally I prefer sesame oil instead of the peanut sauce. I was not sure where to add that, but maybe it is preferred by western clients. I was the only East Asian when I was there during lunch break. I’d say this is a fusion Korean restaurant. The lunch menu was affordable, dinner seems expensive.

After traveling to a couple dozen countries, I must say, that Vietnamese cuisine was some of the healthiest and best tasting I’ve ever had in my life. Even though this is a Korean style restaurant with fusion of other asian cuisine, it was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I eat primarily vegan and I was so fortunate to find this vegan meal called the “crispy tofu vegan bowl”? so very tasty and very healthy. But yet it was also quite filling. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was also informed that most if not all of the Asian restaurants offer vegan and or vegetarian options. @kazelene on IG… you’ve got a check out her artwork! It is so beautiful in her freehand freestyle art, it’s exceptional. She and @dnx.thanhdreal helped me and he’s a really nice guy. He also Raps. Check him out on IG. My friends and I went for a Korean dinner. A plus is that you can sit both inside and outside, so it's nice to eat outside when the weather is nice! We got the cards and the only downside is that no one came to us to order for 10 minutes, so I went alone to the interior of the restaurant to place the order. We didn't have to wait long for 3 items from the menu, 막걸리 were served quickly, and overall the service was very nice throughout. Food very affordable. You could feel the combination of Korean cuisine slightly with fusion / like adding corn or radish to bibimbap, but everything was very tasty! I will definitely come back!

Unfortunately the tables were dirty when we arrived and we had to ask the staff to clean it (twice!). Not a great start. Ordered starters and main course but the starters trickled in one after another and not at the same time. Also we got one main dish with one starter and waited for the rest of the starters before we began eating. The wakame was still frozen solid and one of my friends bit down on a huge piece of ice. When we finished with the starters we also waited forever for the main dishes (the first one already cold by the time the rest arrived). The plates were chipped, the service awful. At least some of the dishes tasted good but tbh with the pricing I expected the service to be way better. However, they were friendly and one of the servers removed one of the dishes from the bill which was very customer orientated. (It didn't get eaten because the sauce was already dried inside the bowl which left a bad aftertaste in terms of freshness.by that point we were too frustrated to let it go back, though)

Incorrectly billed!! Overcharged! Unfortunately, it has happened more often that incorrect billing occurs, especially with the increased prices! Please check your invoices! When I asked to see the bill, the tablet was reluctantly shown. You should have been suspicious. The impression of systematic fraud arises. Otherwise food good.

Tasty food, but very disinterested, unmotivated young staff (except for the person at the reception). We were 4 people and ordered barbeque, two types for 2 people each, one of them veggie (!). Instead of bringing us 2 different bbq hot plates, they prepared the first half of both types on a single hotplate, meaning that all of the vegetables tasted of chicken. We were very confused because the quantity didn't seem right for four people, plus the mix didn't seem appropriate. But given the brash response of the waiter, we didn't feel like arguing and just went with it. The waiter then brought another plate with ingredients for the second round of bbq and simply added them to the used hotplate. This led to the second batch being even more mixed up (he also used a single utensil for both meat and tofu) and additionally also quite charred, since the marinade from the first batch hadn't been removed before adding the new ingredients. Overall it was an unfortunate experience for us, especially because the place's ambience and food is good.

Highly recommended. We had a BBQ grill that was very tasty. The staff is very friendly and hardworking. You leave BABIKYU with a full stomach ;-). The rustic tables are cool, but they are difficult to clean and in my opinion are rather unsuitable, but that is a matter of taste.

Very nice service. The dishes were very tasty with the exception of Bulgogi chicken for the grill. Unfortunately we didn't think it tasted that good. You should make a reservation if necessary. Cash and card payments are accepted. Finding a parking space was okay for a late Saturday afternoon.

It was our first time at Babikyu and we were very satisfied. We had the Smoked Salmon Burger and the Brisket Burger which were very tasty! Our table neighbors had the BBQ on the grill and it looked incredibly tasty too! Despite the store being packed on Saturday, we received great and friendly service. We will definitely come back next time we visit Berlin.

The four of us ate at Babikyu yesterday (Friday) and chose 2 starters and the Korean BBQ for four people, which I think was a good portion for 4 people (3 women and a man). The BBQ comes with rice, various dips and a small plate of kimchi as a side dish. The supplements can be reordered free of charge. About the food: both the starters and the main course were very tasty. In my opinion, the spiciness was mild and very pleasant for my companions. Regarding the service: since the restaurant was very busy and other people were waiting outside for a seat, the employees were constantly rotating. One or two service employees seemed a bit overwhelmed. When I took the order, he wanted to take the entire order and kept breaking it open, which irritated me. Especially since we had already waited 20 minutes for someone to come. The same employee was also rather taciturn when serving, so we didn't know whether we were using the grill ourselves or he was doing it. Luckily, Julia (I think it's the service manager) checked everything was going as best she could given the rush of people and asked the guests several times whether everything was okay. So big praise to Julia, who saved and improved the service again. About the ambience: in the entrance area there are several tables for 4-6 people each. At the back of the restaurant you sit on a gallery. The volume in the restaurant is very loud, which is understandable given how busy it is (after all, the food is really good).

A great authentic BBQ restaurant. All the most typical Korean dishes are on the menu. If one is looking for a place to try the best of what the cuisine of this Asian country has to offer, BABIKYU is the right place. The service was helpful and professional. And the food was delicious and tasted very authentic. I heartily recommend this restaurant. It is definitely worth trying here both Korean appetizers and BBQ.

What an awesome place! We had DIY Korean BBQ and marinated chicken. The waiter can help you cook the meat if you like. There were plenty of vegetables served with the BBQ dishes. Overall very tasty and a great place to spend time with friends!

Really nice restaurant, a little small and cramped but you can still find a seat. The menu was varied and there was a lot to choose from, but unfortunately I have to say it was a little too expensive. Service good, portions ok too.

Food is okay, but cannot say the same about the behaviour of the staff. Almost got denied a table, even though we had a reservation. Received the wrong order and didn't even get the side dish I ordered. No apologies came, from anyone of the staff.

We loved our visit to Babikyu. We really enjoy Korean food, and they didn't disappoint us ^^ even if the place was full there was always someone very friendly checking on us. The deco/environment and vibe inside the restaurant is also very nice. We had a bbq x2 and friend chicken 🐔 🙌🙏 very good portions!
