Delicious food, prices are similar to other places that offer the same food. According to the waitress who served us, it was also Halal certified. However, this is not marked on the menu and some dishes are excluded.

Delicious sushi - unfortunately I had to wait a long time, but that's probably the case everywhere in a city like Düsseldorf... I really liked the selection and everything was reasonably priced too!! I was convinced 😃

The sushi and main courses are really good and high quality. You don't get star cuisine, but you do get a very solid standard. The atmosphere is cozy (when it's not too crowded) and the service is nice. Unfortunately, to compensate for inflation, the prices were increased significantly and the portions shrunk somewhat, which is a shame and no longer makes the restaurant an absolute insider tip. In addition, card payments are still not possible in 2022.

We had a fantastic dinner in a very friendly mood, amazing food, nice and fast service.. cosy restaurant! I suggest if you like Asian cuisine .. book in time since it was fully fully packed!

Food itself very good. Service a disgrace. We reserved a table for several people and were thrown out after 2 hours because the table was then given to someone else.

The food was OK, but the service was a disaster. We were only allowed to pay in cash or via Paypal, very strange. The lighting was pretty bad and it was extremely loud. After 2 hours we were thrown out because our reservation time was over, even though the cards had been put on the table again shortly before so that dessert could be ordered. We're never going back here.

The Sushi Bar has developed a remarkably innovative approach to time management. After exactly two hours we were politely but clearly signaled that we should make room for the next guests. It's fascinating to see how precisely you can use a table as a temporary runway. A real masterpiece of efficiency – if you want to consider it as such. For anyone who appreciates the charm of a rushed meal, this is certainly the place to be.

Our visit to this restaurant was definitely a memorable experience! The waiting time allowed us to enjoy the ambience in peace - just under an hour to take our order and more time to wait for the lovingly prepared sushi bites. The service is pleasantly unobtrusive and gives you enough time to thoroughly browse the menu. The noise level is at an impressively high level, creating a lively and almost festive atmosphere - you almost feel like you're at a party! For those who appreciate small portions and are willing to spend a little more, this is the perfect place. The prices are definitely set so that you consciously concentrate on the quality and appreciate every bite The toilets are an experience in themselves - a charming reminder of adventurous journeys and exotic rest stops. If you're looking for a culinary experience that stimulates all your senses and stays in your memory, you'll really get your money's worth here!

Very tasty sushi, highly recommended. Service is always there immediately when you're finished. We were there at lunchtime between 1 and 2 p.m. and it was quite manageably full. The sweet chili sauce that comes with the vegetarian mini spring rolls is really incredibly delicious!

Baba Sushi ist immer gut gefüllt, und man würde meinen, dass das der beste Hinweis auf ein gutes Restaurant ist. Beim Essen ist das auch so, Sushi und Curries sind lecker und hochqualitativ. Was aber die Kehrseite eines überfüllten Restaurants ist - es werden in diesem Fall nicht genug Mitarbeiter eingesetzt, um so viele Kunden zu bedienen, oder ihre Motivation hält sich in Grenzen. Rundum ist der Service katastrophal und macht vieles kaputt. Abgesehen von einer hoffnungslos überzogenen Wartezeit war bei uns pures Chaos bei der Auslieferung der Bestellung. Wir mussten eigenständig durchzählen, ob wir die korrekte Anzahl von Rolls/Sets bekamen und mussten der Bedienung mehrmals nachlaufen. Bitte mehr Servicekräfte einstellen oder abrufen!!!

Have been there twice now because the food is so good!! It is beautifully presented and the atmosphere in the restaurant is generally very nice and cozy. The food came quickly and the staff was friendly. Just keep in mind that card payments are not possible

The restaurant has a manageable dining area including toilets and an open counter. The restaurant also has an outdoor area for those who would like to eat and drink outside. The food was not eaten on site but was taken away. As you can see from the pictures, the Hangover plate and the Best Friend plate were ordered. Total price of both plates €120. The sushi was very tasty and was also very fresh. It's not a cheap meal, but it's still recommended.

The taste of ginger and celery was strong in the food, but they have very nice and high quality sushi.

Five of us went to the Baba-Sushi restaurant on Saturday evening and had an overall very positive experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really pleasant and invites you to linger. The food was excellent – ​​everything from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation was very good. The only small criticism is that you can only pay in cash, which is a bit inconvenient these days. Nevertheless, we can highly recommend Baba Sushi and will definitely come back!

The ambience is simple but tasteful. It was full there and very, very loud. The food is good but not outstanding, as is the service. The prices are ok for Düsseldorf. They just neglect to point out on the website or when making the reservation that only cash is accepted. A fact that could interest the tax office.

Unfortunately, the tables outside are very crooked. Service takes a long time. The service is beyond bad. Drinks are just placed in front of you without restricting it to the glass. Ask if you could get ice cubes. Unfortunately it didn't come. Starter was not brought, but the main course. When we wanted to pay, the waiter came over to talk on the phone and didn't even stop. After 3 minutes we said we had to go now. Unfortunately, this store hasn't learned how to deal with customers. Sushi tasted ok. Unfortunately the salmon had no taste at all and the rolls were rolled very loosely. So that they opened up when you lifted them. I wouldn't visit the store again. During our stay the kitchen was purchased. The water is bought cheaply at Lidl and is poured into “expensive” glass bottles and sold for €5.50. Just a rip off.

Den guten Bewertungen kann ich absolut nicht zustimmen. Mir persönlich geschmacklich gute Essen nicht wert diesen schlechten Service in Form von langen Wartezeiten in Kauf zu nehmen. Ich gehe a la carte Essen um zügig bedient zu werden, diesen Service bezahle ich schließlich mit! Warten in der Schlange kann ich auch im All Inklusive Hotel! Hatte die Sommerrollen als Vorspeise, die eher nach nichts geschmeckt haben. Die Füllung bestand fast nur aus Eisbergsalat, das eher süßliche und fade Dip konnte dem Geschmack auch nichts zu gute tun. Ich werd hier nicht mehr hingehen.

Der Service ist eine Schande. Zunächst einmal mussten wir, obwohl wir im Voraus reserviert hatten, etwa 10 Minuten in der Schlange vor der Tür warten. Dann wurde uns ein Tisch an einem sehr schlechten Platz zugewiesen. Nach unserer Beschwerde konnten wir an einen anderen Tisch umziehen. Danach kam etwa 30 Minuten lang kein einziger Kellner mehr zu uns. Nach meiner zweiten Beschwerde (nachdem ich meine Stimme erhoben hatte), wurden unsere Bestellungen aufgenommen. Zuerst die Vorspeise und nach langer Zeit kamen unsere Getränke. Ehrlich gesagt, entschuldigt die Tatsache, dass das Essen gut ist, nicht diesen unwürdigen Service. Ich wurde an diesem Ort mit meinem Geld gedemütigt. Ich empfehle diesen Ort definitiv nicht.

Value for money is okay, but the service takes far too long to take the order and serve the food and drinks (over 1.5 hours when the restaurant is full on a Sunday evening). Unfortunately, no card payment is possible, although there are ATMs nearby. Parking was only about 1 km away.

The sushi tastes super delicious, totally fresh and is really high quality!! The employees are friendly. On the weekend you should definitely reserve in advance as it gets very busy, especially in the evening. Unfortunately, no card payment is offered. In my opinion, it's part of good service these days, so a point is deducted. Still a clear recommendation because of the good food.

There are so many better quality and taste options for sushi in Düsseldorf, but what disappoints most is the (lack of) service. The waiters are unfriendly and listless, a window is being cleaned during the meal, the aroma of the glass cleaner spreads happily over the food, the bathroom is dirty and without paper. Maybe we had a bad day, but I see little reason to come back.

The food is always 1a. Top quality and very, very tasty. If the store is completely full of guests, you have to wait a little for service, as it is quite loud and hustle and bustle. But otherwise there is nothing to complain about. It's worth making a reservation, otherwise you'll have to wait a long time.

First of all: the food is really excellent. Unfortunately, the service left more and more to be desired on our last visits. At first we only had chopsticks on the table. After we ordered, the first thing that arrived was my friend's food, just 5 minutes later. At that point we had neither napkins nor soy sauce. After about 5 minutes and two questions, the drinks arrived, but without napkins. I also got my food 10 minutes after my girlfriend. The food and the ambience are very nice, but unfortunately there is a lack of basics in the service (table setting, drinks before the meal and eating at the same time). The sushi was perfect.

You wait a long time, orders are forgotten, the furniture is being put away outside at 10 p.m., even though it's open until 11 p.m. and we were still eating. You don't feel welcome. I was there on a Saturday at around 4:30 p.m. and was very surprised at how busy it was. The ambience was okay, but for my taste it was too narrow and didn't offer enough peace for individual couples to eat undisturbed. The sushi itself was fresh and tasted very good. But the prices are beyond good and bad and you can easily pay 5 euros for 6 sushi rolls. For people who want to try sushi and are very hungry, it's a disaster. Service was really bad, they constantly forgot to look at our table. The drinks only arrived when we first got our food. Sushi is mediocre at most. My advice: go somewhere else!

Some of the tastiest and best sushi I've eaten. It always tastes extremely tasty and, above all, is very attractively prepared. We often eat the Best Friends, Habgover or Sumo platter and share it with several people. Everyone was always excited! 😊 Somehow my little highlight is always the miso soup, which comes first. The only two disadvantages are that you can only pay in cash. But that's not a problem once you know it. And in the summer if you sit outside it is a little noisy as it is right on the street where there is a lot of through traffic.

Vegans & vegetarians beware! We ordered sushi today and picked it up. We were given a pickup time, but when we got there at the appropriate time, we had to wait 15-20 minutes because the food was then prepared. Afterwards, when paying in cash, the change was kept without asking, as if it was clear that this would be a tip until we actively asked for it. At home we noticed that instead of 2x avocado, 2x avocado salmon had been packed, which of course wasn't okay for vegetarians. There were also a few drops of cocktail sauce over the vegan maki (definitely not vegan) and small leftover salmon mixed between the vegetables (it was obviously cut on a board and mixed) - also not suitable for vegans or vegetarians! We definitely won't order here again. P.S. No allergens are declared on the menu, which is mandatory in Germany.

Super tasty food, good value for money

Everything so far so good, the food is delicious, but the fact that the customer is literally forced to pay after less than an hour is a disgrace. Without my asking, the bill was simply brought to me!

I choose some sushi rolls and chicken in teriyaki sauce. They were so delicious. Actually I will go there again. I drank Hugo it was nice too but I tasted better than here. Overall dont think just go there and taste sushi rolls especially chruncy and chicken in teriyaki sauce

We have been going there on and off for many years and have never been disappointed. The best sushi around! In the evening you should/must make a reservation and card payment is not possible.

Despite my reservation for my birthday, including the request for a quiet table, we were seated next to the table that was watching football loudly on the iPad (neither Germany nor Japan was playing). When I resisted, a table was found 3m further, in the middle of the shop. The restaurant was full, which made it very noisy and the staff seemed very stressed. When we then asked whether the soup would be included in the menu, we first critically checked whether we had actually ordered it. A lot of service was lost, I also had to ask several times when paying and the wallet on the table didn't help either. Apparently only a certain gentleman is allowed to collect. I completely understand that when it's full, mistakes happen or it takes longer, but I really didn't feel comfortable or welcome there that evening. I can easily imagine having lunch there, even vegetarian, but not going out for a romantic meal or simply having a nice evening.

Actually a really good restaurant. I had reserved a table and had been sitting for a long time. All I got was a menu. After that I was no longer served. All guests after me were able to order except me. After another 20 minutes it became too stupid for me and I left the store in the morning.

My family and I have been here countless times, sushi is always delicious, prices are quite reasonable, staff are quick and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great! This is one of our favorite places in Düsseldorf for sushi! Sometimes it can be crowded on weekends but you can make reservations in advance on their website which is very helpful. I think the only negative is that they only take cash, but that is typical for many other places in Düsseldorf as well.

Had dinner on a Friday evening and it was already very full! Luckily you were able to sit outside because the seating inside is very tight and you can hardly have a conversation. It's best to reserve in advance and you can only pay in cash! There are poor parking options on site! As usual, the food tastes very delicious. I can recommend the fried sushi.

Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist eine glatte 1! Top Service, alles ist super frisch! Dafür braucht man nicht auf die Immermannstr zu gehen, besser geht nicht und dort zahlt man definitiv 20 Euro mehr.

Sushi was very tasty and okay in terms of price/performance. We came in, said we had made a reservation and were told we had to wait at the door for a moment because guests would be paying soon. Then the table became free but instead of us other people were let in who didn't even have a reservation and came in after us and simply stood a little in front of us. Then the waitress asked us again if we had made a reservation - so she had simply forgotten about us in the 5 minutes of waiting. Then had to wait another 10 minutes. Overall, the service was unfortunately very disorganized: we were asked to order late, then asked directly by two other colleagues whether we had already ordered, it was cleared away even though we weren't quite finished yet, so I had to say that we were still eating and even though As we sat there longer we weren't asked again if we wanted anything. Unfortunately, only cash payments are possible. And the tables are lined up very close together, which means it's very loud overall. There is no card payment 🙈only cash

I really liked the food, we ordered a menu for two people, absolutely everything was very tasty. It's atmospheric inside too. The only thing that was missing was the sincere cordiality of the waiters; I don’t understand why they look as if visitors are a burden to them.

Very well attended, not because it's my birthday, but also Whit Monday. The staff was a bit overwhelmed with so many people. Food was fresh and very tasty. It is not often that only cash payment is accepted. Cards are not accepted. Good for the euro.

Food was a bit bland, teriyaki sauce was just a thin soy sauce, same with the starter: Yakitori tastes different. The sauce was a heavily diluted peanut sauce. Overall, rather mediocre. Loading very crowded and noisy.

I ate here twice and both were delicious, my GO to restaurant for sushi in Düsseldorf, near Shadowstrasse. Everything I've tried here is superb. I recommend this restaurant.

Although there were hardly any guests on site, things were quite hectic. A change to my wife's order after about 3 minutes. was rejected (sushi was already finished and had to be thrown away...). The food was solid. Chinese staff in a sushi restaurant is a matter of taste.

We were looking for good and traditional sushi, due to the trip advisor reviews and Instagram reels we've chosen this one. In the end nothing special, mojito had a weird mint syrup taste (why would add that?) and we've found a bone in the white sashimi. Instagram hype...

We especially love the Crunchy Rolls and are already looking forward to the next time!

We were there for dinner yesterday with 7 people. First of all, the positive things: beautiful decoration, the sushi platters are nicely arranged and, thanks to the fresh ingredients, also quite tasty. Not to be equated with original Japanese sushi but OK for the price. What is a little irritating: there is a lot of skimping on wasabi/ginger and several sushi menus are randomly combined on the same plate without being pointed out. The service didn't seem very attentive and at times quite overwhelmed when the store was full. Card payments should be standard everywhere today, but they are generally not accepted here. What was absolutely not possible: when we wanted to order matcha ice cream for dessert, the waitress explained that it was sold out and recommended fresh mochi (rice dumplings) with sweet potato filling and coconut milk instead. What was brought to us seemed anything but fresh. The rice flour dough was rock hard, indicating that it had spent at least one night in the refrigerator and then been reheated in the microwave. The soup in which the motchis were swimming tasted sour and fermented. The whole dish was simply inedible, which we told the waitress. We were still charged €7.90 for the three portions - a disgrace! Maybe the health department should visit the kitchen more often. In any case, I won't be coming here a second time.
