Der Grund, warum nur Bargeld und keine Kreditkarten akzeptiert werden, ist die Vermeidung von Steuern, was verständlich ist. Aber befürchten die Ladenbesitzer nicht, unerwünschte Aufmerksamkeit von Kriminellen auf sich zu ziehen? Schließlich befindet sich viel Bargeld im Laden, und diese Leute könnten versuchen, es zu stehlen.

Ich habe eine große Sushi-Bestellung aufgegeben, aber leider wurden nur sehr kleine Mengen Sojasauce, Wasabi und eingelegter Ingwer mitgeliefert. Die mitgelieferte Menge reicht bei Weitem nicht für die bestellte Anzahl an Sushi.

Das Essen war ansich lecker, besonders das panierte Hähnchen war sehr gut. Der Tofu war jedoch weder paniert noch mariniert und schmeckte sehr langweilig. Das Sushi war ebenfalls lecker.

Ein wunderbarer Ort! Bei meinem nächsten Besuch im japanischen Filtercafé war ich wieder dort. Das Lokal war brechend voll mit Leuten, die sich das leckere Essen schmecken ließen. Ich frage mich, warum ich nicht schon früher dort war.

Also als ich jetzt gesehen habe, dass Rezensionen entfernt werden und welche gekauft werden, bin ich bisschen schockiert. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, alles einwandfrei. Personal auch nett, bisschen eng alles, aber eigentlich alles Top. Die Preise sind ein Ticken zu salzig. Man kann gerne Angebote machen oder bisschen mit den Preisen runter. Ansonsten sehr lecker

Wir waren am 6. Juni mit meiner Frau im Restaurant Barbara – und waren von der ersten Minute an begeistert. Von außen würde man diese wunderschöne Atmosphäre gar nicht vermuten! Das Essen war frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau – von der Vorspeise über den Hauptgang bis zum Dessert. Besonders das Panna cotta mit Maracuja-Granatapfelsoße war ein absoluter Traum. Besonders möchten wir unseren Kellner Yehya erwähnen – herzlich, kompetent und mit echter Leidenschaft für seinen Beruf. Seine Beratung und das persönliche Gespräch haben den Abend noch schöner gemacht. Man sieht sofort, dass er diesen Job mit Liebe macht. Unser klare Empfehlung: Tisch reservieren – am Wochenende ist es sehr beliebt und Plätze sind rar. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Vielen Dank für diesen wunderschönen Abend. Insgesamt gutes Restaurant, sehr lecker dort, gehen gerne hin, mittlerweile aber etwas chaotisch aufgrund des schlechten Services. Viele Menschen stehen hier rum, die Servicekräfte sind langsam, und auch Kunden stehen teilweise lange für ihre Tische, direkt neben den sitzenden Kunden… das beeinträchtigt das Erlebnis natürlich…

Es ist keine Klimaanlage vorhanden es ist extrem warm und der hinterer Bereich übertrieben warm und stinkt nach Schweiß vom Kunden natürlich da man einfach nur am schwitzen ist also im Sommer und warmen Temperaturen würde ich niemals nochmal hingehen

Wir haben gestern Abend im Rahmen des Japan-Tags ein köstliches Essen genossen. Es war nur noch ein Tisch draußen frei, aber die Atmosphäre war trotzdem toll. Das Essen war fantastisch und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ausgezeichnet. In den Niederlanden würde man für ein vergleichbares Essen mit fünf Personen über 250 € ausgeben. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren heute im Baba Sushi am Fürstenwall in Düsseldorf und sind extra von weiter her angereist, weil uns das Restaurant empfohlen wurde :) und es hat sich absolut gelohnt. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend. Alles war frisch, geschmacklich perfekt abgestimmt und einfach unglaublich lecker. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns auch, wie schnell der Service war, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders unser Kellner Khang war super lieb, herzlich und hat den Besuch nochmal deutlich angenehmer gemacht. Man hat sich direkt willkommen gefühlt. Wir können Baba Sushi wirklich wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Abend!

Wir waren zum Abendessen hier und waren sowohl vom Ambiente als auch vom Service und Essen super begeistert. Wir hatten die Empfehlung hierher zu kommen von Tik tok und können diese nur weitergeben! Das Essen war frisch, sehr lecker, schön angerichtet und zudem preiswert.

Es war enttäuschend. Wir haben um 18:00 Uhr reserviert und mussten trotzdem mit vielen anderen die ebenfalls reserviert haben draußen beim kalten Wetter lange warten. Warum lässt man einem den Tisch reservieren, wenn wir Ende des Tages trotzdem 20 min warten?! Wir haben dann irgendwann die Hoffnung verloren und woanders hingegangen. Unverschämt und nie wieder….

Das köstlichste Sushi mit einem Problem: die Auswahl ist so groß, dass ich mir schlecht entscheiden kann. So frisch wie gerade eben zubereitet. Auch viel phantasievoller als im normalen Sushi-Restaurant.

Es wurde renoviert und hat ein sehr sauberes und stilvolles Ambiente. Der Fisch ist frisch und die Misosuppe köstlich. Die Preise sind günstiger als in japanischen Sushi-Restaurants, daher kann ich es empfehlen. An Wochenendnachmittagen ist es oft sehr voll.

wir sitzen schon 30min in halbvollem Restaurant und werden einfach ignoriert. nicht mal Getränke konnten wir bestellen. trotz Anfrage wurden weiter ignoriert. mal gucken wann kriegen wir das Essen serviert. Kein Trinkgeld verdient. Das Essen war nicht schlecht aber für den Preis auch nichts besonderes. für den Halben Preis hätte ich gesagt war gut aber ca 17eur für Gericht mit bisschen Fleisch und meistens Gemüse finde ich übertrieben. 5,8eur für ein Weizen ist unverschämt. Fazit: ein mal im Jahr kann man vorbei kommen, aber es gibt viel bessere Angebote in Düsseldorf

Das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert. Es schmeckte Qualitativ sehr gut und wurde auch super schön angerichtet. Preise sind gut für das was man bekommt. Personal war schnell und nett. Das einzige was mich etwas gestört ist dass man nur Bar zahlen kann was ich leider vorher nicht wusste.

BaBa Sushi doesn't offer purely traditional Japanese cuisine. Instead, guests can expect a diverse fusion selection. Besides classic nigiri, maki, and sashimi, you'll also find creative variations like dragon rolls, tiger rolls, and various deep-fried sushi rolls. The menu extends far beyond sushi: pho, bún bo nam bo, summer rolls, fried wontons, and other Vietnamese classics ensure that even guests who don't like sushi will easily find something to their liking. The drinks menu is varied and well-curated: in addition to classic soft drinks and aperitifs, there's a selection of cocktails—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Cocktails are priced at around €10. The restaurant was very busy during our visit. Reservations—especially on weekends—are highly recommended. The seating is relatively close together, which can make it noisy when the restaurant is full. However, the overall ambiance is very appealing. The quality of the food was a pleasant surprise for a fusion restaurant. Despite the high volume of customers, the service was friendly. However, the flow of the service seemed somewhat chaotic at times, likely due to less-than-ideal internal communication. The restrooms were less than impressive; they could have been cleaner and tidier. Given the large number of guests, this is understandable, though there's room for improvement. The bill for two of us came to around €70, including tip – a price I consider reasonable. If you're expecting traditional Japanese cuisine, this isn't the place for you. But if you're open to creative fusion dishes, you'll definitely find something to your liking and leave satisfied.

There were four of us, and despite having a reservation, we had to wait about 30 minutes. First, we waited outside in the cold, and later it was crowded in the entrance area. It was extremely busy, the door was constantly opening and closing for customers picking up orders, and our table right next to the door was freezing cold. The sushi was really delicious. Perhaps the chaos was due to it being a Friday evening. Good food, but reservation and guest management could be better.

First of all: the sushi is delicious! The prices are a bit high; we paid €37 per person, but it was simply good, tasty sushi. BUT the service was not good. You wait a long time, orders are forgotten, and they're already clearing the furniture outside at 10 p.m., even though the restaurant is open until 11 p.m. and we were still eating. You don't feel welcome. It's a shame, because unfortunately, that's exactly why we won't be coming back, even though it was delicious.

I was here at lunchtime. The summer rolls with shrimp were tasteless; they only contained noodles and iceberg lettuce. The sauce was mango, which was unusual. And unfortunately, it was completely runny (see video). The sushi didn't look anything like the photo. The whole avocado on top was missing; instead, there was lamb's lettuce with the root on top, and the five rolls were three lumps that were so badly rolled they fell apart. Despite that, it tasted okay. The teriyaki with duck was a complete waste of money. Nothing tasted fresh at all; the vegetables were overcooked, and the sauce tasted like a store-bought sauce that had been reheated. I'm absolutely disappointed and didn't even finish half of it, even though I was so hungry 😞 It's not good value for money.

We had a table reserved, arrived on time, and then stood outside for about 30 minutes with four other groups because the tables were still occupied. We even received email reminders to be on time! All the waiting groups had reserved for the same time slot, and no one got in at their scheduled time. Guests stood in the entrance waiting, and those at the front tables were sitting in their jackets because the door was constantly open. The tables were far too close together. Sorry, but I understand that you can optimize for maximum guest efficiency, and this was quite chaotic and not the right atmosphere for a nice meal. The service afterward was good and attentive. The food was okay. I wouldn't go back. What a shame! Tip: Check the restrooms during the evening service and maybe clean them. They weren't pleasant either...

The food is delicious. Really tasty and amazing sushi. The price is similar to other sushi restaurants, a bit higher, but still relatively inexpensive. The service could be a touch friendlier, but it's adequate. The atmosphere is a little cramped, which feels a bit unusual, but it's fine.

The ambiance is really nicely designed. Only cash payments are accepted. The drink prices are too high for the size of the portions. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn't very good. The mango was sour and half-raw. Not acceptable for mango sushi. We mentioned this when asked, but there was no response. The pho was okay, but more of a clear broth with noodles than what one would expect from pho.

We had a reservation for 6:00 PM: There was a long line in front of the restaurant, all with reservations. Around 6:30 PM we finally got to our table, and as compensation, we received a complimentary appetizer, which settled the matter for us! It must be said that the restaurant is very small and the seating is quite close. However, the food is absolutely delicious!! Even though the restaurant was completely full, everything was served quickly. Highly recommended.

We had a reservation for 9pm but we had to wait with around 10 people to be seated. After 30 mins of wait, our food also took very long to arrive. Staff was nice and attentive but despite the good food, I wouldnt come again.

Our sushi platter was rather disappointing. The sushi itself was average in taste, and I had somehow expected more. We ordered for dine-in and ate it at home. Perhaps my expectations were too high. It was also very busy, which might have contributed to the poor quality. I wasn't convinced by the value for money. I will order from there again at a later date and update my review if I am pleasantly surprised.

We always enjoy going to Baba Sushi. They have an incredibly wide selection of sushi, and the curry is always delicious too. The tables are relatively close together, but there's still plenty of space. We're deducting one point for the service because they don't accept card payments!

I was very disappointed with my visit to Baba Sushi Restaurant. The sushi was small and the taste was underwhelming. The main course with coconut milk was also very greasy and, unfortunately, tasted awful. However, the service was particularly disappointing. The waiters were unfriendly and disrespectful. While clearing the table, one waiter spilled sauce on the table and even on my brother. Instead of apologizing, he brought a cloth and threw it on the table, telling my brother to clean it up himself – completely inappropriate! Overall, a very unpleasant experience – we definitely won't be returning.

We had a reservation and came all the way from Mettmann. When we arrived, there were already people standing on the street. The place was completely overcrowded. We were told to wait on the street despite having a reservation, even though it was clear. They didn't tell us how long we would have to wait despite the reservation. There were about 20 people at the door, all of whom also had reservations. If you offer a reservation, it's outrageous to then overbid the place so that you still can't get a table. We had planned a lovely evening for two, but unfortunately, it was completely ruined. I'm extremely angry and disappointed. This is truly outrageous.

The reservations are fake. We had made a reservation for 8 p.m. and ended up standing in the doorway of the completely full restaurant with over 20 other people, waiting for a table. After ten minutes, and with several more people waiting, we gave up and went to the Vietnamese restaurant across the street. It's an unpleasant scam; a restaurant might as well do without reservations altogether.

If I work with reservations, I should use them. We were standing in front of the door with about 20-30 people, all of whom had reservations, and the place was completely packed at 7 p.m. Despite our reservation, we waited 45 minutes and, after complaining to the waiter, we were given an appetizer on the house. We could have done without the spring rolls. When we wanted to pay, there was no cash payment, as stated on the menu. The sushi was delicious, but the rest could be improved.

I went there for sushi it was nice tbh But the soya sauce it was a bit over salty the restaurant is clean and the stuff there are friendly...

I came here on a recommendation, but I was disappointed. There were five of us and we had made a reservation, but we only got a very small table. In the middle of our meal, another table was abruptly placed in front of us and our food was pushed to the side – very unprofessional. The service was generally poor. The food was also disappointing: the rice fell apart and was of poor quality. There are definitely better places to eat.

Extremely satisfied! The Hangover Platter with various sushi options was delicious. For starters, we had gyoza and spring rolls, which were okay, but nothing special. The service was very fast, the staff friendly, and thanks to our reservation, we didn't have to wait. The only downside: they only accept cash payments. Overall, though, we highly recommend it!

The food was delicious and absolutely worth the price. The seating is a bit tight, but it didn't really bother us. It's best to come in groups of three or four and make a reservation in advance, so it's more relaxed. Payment is cash only—good thing we knew that beforehand. If you want to grab a bit of standard Rewe sushi, this is the place for you. The tables for two are so close together that you think you're sitting at the same table (maximum sales per square meter, after all). The service is absolutely annoying; they have no sense of when to speak to you. You're constantly being asked by different waiters whether you've already ordered or whether you want anything else, or whether you need anything else, while you're still on the last bite and the food is already being cleared away. Unfortunately, it's very reminiscent of a conveyor belt serving food, designed to get as many people as possible and then get rid of them. We won't be back!!!

The food was good and the service friendly, but I don't think we'll be back. For a few reasons: - We were initially brought the wrong food, and my friend had to spit out a piece of sushi when the waitress took it back. - We were seated so close to the neighboring table that it felt more like a dinner for four than for two. - Cash is the only payment method. - Parking is very difficult.

Unfortunately, our visit to Ba Ba Sushi was disappointing overall. We had a reservation for 6:00 PM and were there as a couple. The table was set up quickly, but the tables for two are so close together that you're practically sitting with your neighbors – it's not particularly comfortable. The tables for four are much better positioned. The restaurant itself has a modern feel and is very busy, which is a good thing. Our order: • Deluxe Menu without Soup • 1 Miso Soup, 1 Sake Nigiri, 1 Maguro Nigiri, 1 Butterfish Nigiri, 1 Hamachi Nigiri, 8 Spicy Rolls • Kappa Maki • Spicy Roll (Crunchy Rolls) • Coke and Sprite The food arrived after a reasonable wait, and the taste was okay – solid, but nothing memorable. So that wasn't the problem. What really ruined the entire evening, however, was the service: • My companion's sushi platter was cleared away while I was still eating. • While I was finishing my last sip, the waiter was already standing by, ready to clear the table. • Shortly afterward, we were practically told to pay and leave. At 6:55 p.m., we had settled the bill—less than an hour's wait for what was supposed to be a relaxing dinner. Note to other guests: Payment is cash only. We knew this in advance, but many visitors might be surprised. Given the longer journey and the feeling of being "fed up," we won't be returning. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff, but a restaurant should make guests feel welcome.

A really great place for sushi beginners. The quality is good. The service is good. They lack the unusual ideas to stand out from the competition. The seating inside is better. Outside on the main street opposite the fire station, it's too noisy.

Very cool place :) very tasty :) sushi is so fresh that it falls apart and it is impossible to take it with chopsticks 😂 Especially if you don't know how to use chopsticks :) My friend couldn't, and took it with his hands 😂 The atmosphere is good, there were a lot of people :) However, later they seated people very close to each other, when there were a lot of free seats by the end of the evening. The location is great :) there is a city parking lot not far from the establishment, a 5-minute walk away. We went in without a reserved table 🥰 In general, it was super-delicious 😎 I recommend it 🫶🏻😌

The food is very good, that has to be said without reservation. But even with a reservation, you end up waiting for more than 20 minutes outside the door or in the entrance area, directly behind other guests. This is simply poorly organized and spoils the anticipation of a pleasant evening. The tables are placed far too close together, the entire room feels cluttered, and as a result, it has a bit of a cafeteria feel.

The restaurant is very nice, but I felt I didn't know what to order, so I called the employee to help us, but he was too stubborn to understand what I wanted. We ordered mixed tuna, salmon, and shrimp. Sushi. Vegetable wraps and vegetable salad. The food was more than delicious. But the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning, and the tables are very hot, especially in the summer. The employees are nice, helpful, and cheerful.

The food is incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, the service isn't great at all; you feel like you're being ignored. Ordering more drinks or making it known at the end that you want to pay is quite difficult. The restaurant itself is also quite loud when it's full. Despite reservations, there are seating issues. I had a reservation for two people and we were seated at a table for four, and then two strangers joined us. This was very disruptive and not a pleasant experience. We also had to pay in cash because card payments were apparently not accepted. Unfortunately, this wasn't mentioned anywhere on Instagram or during the reservation process.
