Baba Pirzola in Berlin

I spontaneously stopped by for dinner with a friend, and it was fantastic! The restaurant was very busy on a Monday evening, but we were lucky to get a table. The atmosphere was great and very pleasant. We were a little overwhelmed by the selection and were given very friendly advice by a server. We had various starters, and they were all delicious. The staff was very attentive; they asked us several times if everything was OK. Unfortunately, we're not from Berlin, otherwise we'd eat here more often!

A formidable menu of food and service. Exquisite meat dishes with excellent starters. The service is impeccable. Reservations are required, as it's very popular. We had a very good Turkish red wine.

The ambiance and service were great, but the food was simply too expensive for the price. We were a bit disappointed.

Delicious meat dishes. You have to try for a delicious food. But it is expensive.

The prices are simply not justified. There is no getting around this fact. For two, 114.50 euros for two glasses of Hugo (24€!!!), a bottle of water, a tomato/cucumber salad, a thin flatbread, a few creams (mint, aubergine, yoghurt, tomato paste), minced meat in a dough coating, two boneless chicken legs (22 euros!!! - something like that doesn't cost two euros to buy) without any side dish, just two pieces of chicken, The store is packed with people, which either suggests that customers don't care about the unreasonable prices or that many of them don't know about it (that's how it was with us) and therefore only go to the store once and never again. But the service is top. Very friendly young waitresses. The ambience is also nice and modern. Food was heavy on the stomach and had boring seasoning (chicken legs, salad). Again about the price: I like to go out for a good meal with my wife. Paying 100-200 euros for two people is usually no problem for me. But that just doesn't fit together in this store. Sry. Completely overhyped, like unfortunately some shops in Berlin.

We were here for my son's 18th birthday. The service is very friendly. The food is very tasty and you can see it at the front of the display. Exactly what you can order. I think that's great. A very transparent kitchen.

The food was tasty, but the meat was a bit cold, which is why we deducted a star. The cocktails were good, and the grill and meze platters we ordered were more than enough for us. However, we found it intrusive that the waiter asked several times whether we would like to order more. After dinner we wanted to take a quick break before ordering desserts. But before we could get there, the receptionist came, showed us her smartwatch and asked us to leave the table because our two hours of sitting time had expired - without us being informed in advance. When we explained that we wanted to order desserts, we were advised to go to the restaurant opposite instead. We found this approach unprofessional and rude - a shame, because the food had potential.

The staff is polite. The food is sometimes unreasonable, the salad is served in a bowl like the salad in a kebab. The meat was okay, but not worth it. I'm shocked how you pay over €110 for a "snack", a tea and a coffee for two dishes and actually leave half of it because it wasn't really of a reasonable quality. The fried potatoes were served cold and burnt. The small salad could be compared to a salad from the refrigerated counter of Rewe or Edeka. In short: we definitely won't go there again.

We enjoyed it very much, the service was friendly and attentive, and you can feel at home. What bothered us, however, were the prices and the fact that all the side dishes had to be ordered separately. Then there’s an additional €8 for rice and vegetables. This makes the food extremely expensive and I think it's totally excessive. It's a shame that was unfortunately the first and last meal for us in this restaurant.

Highly recommended. Despite the last-minute request on a Saturday afternoon, it was possible to get a table for 6 people in the evening. The service for this and the evening as a whole were very friendly and attentive. For the starter and main course there were mixed platters for everyone. The scampi in garlic is highly recommended as a starter. And beef and lamb steaks for the main course. We had a wonderful evening. We would be happy to come back the next time we visit Berlin, even if we reserve well in advance!

I've been meaning to eat here for 2 years but social media is often more tempting than reality. The food is tasty, but it doesn't blow your mind, especially when it comes to the side dishes and the service also needs to be worked on. After politely asking if I could have a salad without carrots due to an allergy. They said they were already mixed together and so they couldn't do anything. After 5 minutes later than the meat of the bulgur was brought. And I asked again what about the salad that was taken away. I wasn't offered an alternative when I asked, just whether I would like to forego it. And that at a price of 38 euros for my dish. Even with the lentil soup, bread was only available upon request, which I know is different from every kebab shop. When I finally paid the bill of 116,- for 2 people and also pointed out that it was a shame that I didn't have an alternative for the salad. Keller said that not all employees can speak German that well, which for me, who has an integration background, is not really a satisfactory statement. So conclusion: You can do it once because it's nice, but you don't have to do it again for the money.

Great food, but unfortunately very non-transparent pricing and therefore extremely expensive.

We received a very warm welcome in this very modern and beautiful restaurant. Our “host” Soner Bulut was extremely attentive, very friendly and funny. The food came quickly and exceeded our expectations. The portions were good, tasted excellent and were quite reasonable for the price. But our highlight was the dessert - Sütlaç (rice pudding with ice cream and cinnamon) and Baba Künefe (fried dough threads with sugar syrup and cream, pistachios and walnuts) - that was sensational! All in all, a real recommendation.

We visited Baba Pirzola a few times and were thrilled every time. The service deserves more stars than just 5. The food is TOP and always fresh. You feel really comfortable here. Keep it up GREAT TEAM We'd love to come

A fantastic Turkish restaurant we visited yesterday! The food was extremely tasty, especially the starter with the four different dips – simply a highlight. The ambience is elegantly designed, with an open grill that is separated by a glass pane so that you can watch the grilling at any time - a great experience. We were also impressed by the main course and the service was extremely courteous. All in all we were very satisfied and will definitely come back!

If you want to spend a decent amount of money on a restaurant, then go to another establishment. The service and food do not correspond to the level of the restaurant, and the prices are not cheap. What is sterility, cleanliness and service in this establishment is poorly known.

The food is not tasty, bland. The service is terrible. Only the guy tried, the waitress girls were openly unhappy with their work and the visitors. Price-quality does not correspond to the level of the restaurant.

The food is boring, tasteless and not worth the money paid for it. The table service is terrible. Cutlery lies on dirty tables without napkins. When the waitresses set the table, they scrape the dirt off the forks with their nails and then give these forks to the visitors. Waitresses bring dishes with a dissatisfied face, holding the plates as if the dogs were being served a bowl. Dirty plates are not cleared until you leave. I will never recommend this establishment

I made reservations for our family to eat at Baba Pirzola. Everyone from young to old enjoyed it. We ordered two meat platters with side dishes for 10 of us. In the end we had to take almost a third of the food back with us because it was so much. Very satisfied and looking forward to the next opportunity to eat at Baba Pirzola.

The charcoal grilled meat is so incredibly tasty and on point. The service is very attentive and very friendly, in a very natural way, even though it was very busy. A reservation in advance makes perfect sense.

Really a great Turkish restaurant in the heart of Berlin! The food was fantastic and the ambience is very nice. The staff is very attentive and quick (despite the large number of guests on a Saturday evening). We particularly liked the various meze (starters) and of course the pirzola! You definitely have to try them! We can therefore recommend the restaurant to anyone who is in the mood for fine Turkish cuisine.

By far the best Turkish food I have eaten in Germany so far. Both the meze and the meat were great. The prawns in oil are particularly recommended - absolutely perfect! The ambience and our waiter Soner were also great. Very comfortable and accommodating. Thanks!

We spontaneously ate there! The food was great, but the service and prices were subpar! After the starter soup and bread, we were “torn” off our plates with the message that the main course was coming now! My advice that I wasn't on the run and wanted to eat in peace brought me back the plates but also the main course!! Whether you have to price every side dish for kebab...??? It's a shame, because the dish itself was delicious!

Just ate... worst decision. for almost 40€ 2 live pieces of lamb, 1 rotten chicken and sweet onions. I would rather eat 10 great doner kebabs at my kebab shop

The atmosphere was very good. You don't feel any chaos as in other restaurants. You can enjoy your meal peacefully. Service was excellent. The waiters were great, they are always ready to serve you. Drinks were in a small pitcher, which was very nice. Food was also good and delicious. It is a bit pricey compared to other Turkish restaurants, but worth it. I will come here again.

The ambience was okay, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The prices were very high and the quality of the food doesn't justify that price at all in my opinion. You order a kebab which was very expensive and served with no side dishes. I had the impression that I was in a simple kebab shop and not in a Turkish restaurant. We ordered the mixed kepab plate. Some waiters were rude and disrespectful. Although the tea set looked good, there were rusty spots in the teapot, which I found unhealthy. Unfortunately, due to the high prices and the bad experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

One of the most stylish Turkish restaurants in Berlin. Service: 9/10. The team is friendly and competent. Service speed is reasonable. Tanning is also social media. Hygiene: 8/10. Tables and services looked clean enough. Price: 8/10. It can be said that it is reasonable for the location, ambiance and such a team. But if you wonder whether price and taste are proportional, let's look at the next point. Taste:5/10. One expects such a beautiful venue (and these prices) to excite the palate. But every plate ends like Kemalettin Tuğcu's stories. Unfortunately, there are not many happy endings. Main courses were left unfinished on the plate. A little more creative touch is needed here.

Extremely over priced for the food you can get much better in many other Turkish restaurants. The only good thing was that it has nice decor and the staff try to act professional but somehow not happily so I didn't really like the interaction with them. But i would not say they had a bad attitude.

Service didn't understand us. We have said several times that we don't like chops. We ended up with a meat platter with 5 chops. We were very disappointed. He didn't come or meet us either. The quality of the other dishes also left something to be desired. Conclusion: Never again!

The meat tasted strange, the künefe was burnt and I was cheated out of €10 when it came to the bill. The next day I had stomach and intestinal problems. I was extremely disappointed...

We went here on the recommendation of Nesrin Demir, the owner of Mustafa's Vegetable Kebap. In a TV documentary with Tim Raue he said that he likes to eat at Baba Pirzola himself. I like to try out recommendations like these from locals and we weren't disappointed. The meat was high quality, well seasoned and fried. The mezze were also very fresh and tasty. But I would particularly like to highlight the espresso, which was of excellent quality. The staff was very friendly and always open to further requests.

Normal Turkish cuisine, but unfortunately at quite exorbitant prices! Service was perfect, the ambience is also nice...
