I had the Haneeth Lamb and no complaints whatsoever. The meat was great, service was good. Prices on the higher side but reasonable for what they serve. 100% recommended for those in the area and craving authentic Middle Eastern food.

Very tasty food, service could be better

I came to eat in early November 2025. It was my first time trying Yemen Restaurant. It was super delicious!! I highly recommend the beef dish that was so hot that it was bubbling (it should be dish 47). It was served in a brown container. It was really crazy with the bread! The taste that I can't forget! I remember that the other dishes were also super delicious! The point is that this restaurant is not expensive at all. A high CP value restaurant certified by Taiwanese foodies!

If you want to get ripped off, go there. A small piece of beef with two burnt pieces of bread and a bit of salad for one person. €29 without rice, even though it was supposed to be rice.

The food was good, to be honest, and the guys are very friendly. There is no organized distribution of workers, so you have to wait until you order and the order comes, even though the order was not delayed. Overall, I recommend visiting it. It is an excellent experience.

Excellent restaurant, good service, and cheerful staff. I would like to thank the young Yemeni employee who serves the orders. He was very polite, welcoming, patient, and cheerful. Therefore, I recommend the restaurant because its employees are friendly and treat customers well. The food is good. I ordered a delicious chicken salon and I ordered Mandi chicken with delicious Zurbian rice. The guys are helpful, the flavors are authentic, and the bread is amazing. Whatever we order, they bring it to us in seconds. Thanks to my brother Muhammad Al-Madhri for the reception, service, honesty, and trustworthiness. It deserves to be repeated a thousand times without exaggeration. 🎈❤️

Some of the supervisors are very bad and do not have good manners. I informed the accountant about this and unfortunately he did not respond. It is a bad experience and will not be repeated.

Such a bad service, i ordered Madghout Lamm and when the food came it had no meat at all, they served rice with fat, wastage and bones but no meat. I called the waiter and asked him to add some meat to it, he came back with the kitchen staff and instead of accepting their fault the kitchen staff started misbehaving (upon which they got their response from me). At the end they gave me a new plate with meat. Overall it was such a bad experience, never going again there. You pay 20€ for fat and bones with rice?

Incredibly delicious food, excellent quality, generous portions, and friendly service. The ambiance is mediocre, but it doesn't bother me as long as everything else is perfect. It's also great for groups; you can talk and laugh loudly and share food. We've been there twice and left very satisfied and full both times.

Things are good, but they changed the map for the store opening time. If the store opens after ten, the map says 9 o’clock, and we have to go on a walk.

Highly recommended to try something different, if you like Middle Eastern food... you must try Yemeni food.

Went there for lunch with friends on a saturday, it gets full but they have plenty of seating. We all loved it. Food is GREAT!! Big portions so it's also easy to share. Also extremely tasty. Vegan and vegetarian options available, all amazing (i am vegan). Would totally come again.

Super delicious the food I can really recommend

An authentic restaurant, as far as I can tell. The food was served very quickly, even though the restaurant was very busy. All the dishes we ordered (two different chicken rice dishes, an appetizer plate, and flatbread) were delicious. The portions were very generous. The ambiance can take some getting used to for Europeans. There's plenty of space inside, but you can also sit outside. I'll definitely go back 🫶.

Ordered a Lamb and Rice dish. Got a Chicken and Rice dish instead. Chicken was completely dry, the rice though was good. Definitely not okay to give a customer a different dish (cheaper one at that) without giving them any notice beforehand.

The food at AI Yemen is full of flavor, thanks to the many spices used, such as coriander, cloves, cardamom, and probably star anise, along with many others, as well as tomatoes, which provide an aromatic taste. Not only was the tuna dish, which was slightly reminiscent of curry, full of flavor, but the rice was also full of flavor thanks to the aforementioned spices. I highly recommend eating there, especially if you feel like everything else you eat tastes the same and you're already familiar with it. That's what best describes it: Eating there is an experience in itself. 😉

Of course, the quality of the food, the wonderful service, and the prices are very affordable for everyone. It really is the best Arabic restaurant in Munich.

The restaurant is very busy and a bit chaotic, but the food is served hot, which is great. We also tried a dessert and really liked it.

We ordered two main courses and were told we would have to wait half an hour for the bread. After a while the waiter brought us a fish that we had NOT ordered. When we said several times that we hadn't ordered it, the waiter stubbornly insisted that we had ordered it and he told us that we would have to wait half an hour for it. If the guest gets something on the table that he didn't order and expressly says that he never ordered it, I expect that you take it off the table without hesitation and apologize. Instead we had to pay €18 for it even though it wasn't ordered. The food was ok but I wouldn't recommend it because you weren't treated well as a guest.

BAB AL YEMAN is the best restaurant near me (Switzerland). I always drive from Switzerland to Munich just to eat there. And drink a cup of Adays Tea.

The food generally seems tasty and is reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I had the impression that it was already pre-cooked - it was only served lukewarm, almost cold in places. That's a shame, because in my opinion a lot of flavor is lost, which could be avoided. The presentation also didn't quite live up to expectations: on the menu, the dish looks much more appealing and larger. Overall, it's a solid meal, but still has significant room for improvement. I can't say much about the ambience since we sat outside. The service was friendly, but there was also room for improvement in terms of attention and commitment.

This restaurant has a problem with customer service. Several friends told me that the treatment showed a lack of appreciation for the customer.

Services is so bad, waiters are so rude and not polite and dirty they don’t value the customers and they make you feel they are serving you for free, prices is so high and the quality is not good, don’t advise at all.

We visited the restaurant specifically to try the fish dishes we had heard so much about, and we ordered more than one seafood meal. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The waiter came to tell us that the fish oven needed 20 minutes to be repaired, so we said that was okay, we would wait. But he insisted that we change the order, and he began to change his words between saying that the oven needed 30 minutes and then 40 minutes! In the end, we had to change our fish order and tried other dishes he suggested. But we felt that the food was cold and tasted stale or leftover from the previous day. Unfortunately, the experience was very bad, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. My rating is only one star, and even that is plenty for it.

I loved the food once.. We ordered meat shrimp and it arrived cold and we returned it and got anything else, but the food was good and the service was good.. They did not fail 👍🏼 Highly recommend

We had small mezze as starters then a shakshuka and vegetables cooked in terracotta (the arrival of the dishes is worth it), all accompanied by flatbreads. Excellent. The waiter also brings a little spicy tomato soup before the starter, very good too. The quantities are almost too large. When it comes to cooking, we're not far from faultless. Clean toilets in the ladies' room. For men, a urinal is out of order.

Super delicious and authentic food! You can choose between the area with tables and chairs or get it served in arabic style on the floor. Reservation not possible so better come a bit before 18:00.

Very disappointing - rude and dirty I have visited the Bab Al Yemen restaurant twice now - both times a huge disappointment. The staff is extremely rude and disrespectful to the customers. One of the employees even gossiped about guests and called them “woodheads” – absolutely unprofessional! On the second visit, I deliberately ordered Madfoon Mandi again to give the restaurant a second chance, but the rice was cold and unappetizing. The cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired - the tables were dirty and not cleaned properly. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Anyone who values ​​respect, cleanliness and good service should give it a wide berth.

Our experience was unfortunately bad. We arrived at the restaurant, took a table, and went to pray while waiting for the food, but the staff said they wouldn’t reserve our table. We came back after a few minutes to find our table taken, even though our belongings were still there. We understood it was crowded, but we were in the restaurant and didn’t take long. Later, we got another table, but the service was very poor. It felt like they were doing us a favor by serving us. We tried speaking politely, but there was no response. In the end, we decided to go to Bayt Al Yemen nearby, and the difference was clear: great service, better prices, and delicious food. Unfortunately, Bab Al Yemen, you lost a customer, and if this continues, you’ll lose more.

The food is good, but they have nothing to do with Zurbian and Adeni tea. Frankly, I wasn’t satisfied with the food. I hope they improve and either serve the original Zurbian or remove it from the catalog.
