Auf Wünsche wurde eingegangen, geschmacklich war der Grillteller für 2 Personen gut, hätte etwas mehr sein können

Das Essen ist unglaublich lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

Wenn man was exotisches essen will ist hier genau richtig!!! Super freundliche Bedienung, unaufdringliche Musik, tolle Ambiente und atemberaubendes Essen!!! Ich hatte Australian apperetizer, da kann man alles in einem probieren (Känguru Würstchen, Garnelen Spieß und Baramundi Filet) Mein Mann hat sich für Wasserbüffel Burger entschieden und war total begeistert. Alles schmeckt wunderschön und ist mit anderen Fleischsorten nicht vergleichbar. Wenn wir wieder in Dresden kommen, gerne wieder. Riesigen Dank aus Berlin)

If you want to eat something exotic, this is the place for you!!! Super friendly service, unobtrusive music, great ambience and breathtaking food!!! I had Australian apperetizer, where you can try everything in one (kangaroo sausage, shrimp skewer and baramundi fillet). My husband chose the water buffalo burger and was totally thrilled. Everything tastes wonderful and is incomparable to other types of meat. If we come back to Dresden, we'll be happy to do so again. Huge thanks from Berlin)

The steak was excellent and the doneness was accurate. Goulash soup was also very tasty, quite a large dish. The service was quick and kind.

Terrible service. When we arrived at the restaurant during dinner time, there were no tables available, so we sat at the bar. The bartender yelled at me very rudely and laughed with other servers in German because I took napkins from the bar, which was very impolite! So racist

We (my son Andreas and I) were in the Ayers Rock restaurant in Dresden's old town on May 4th, 2023. As soon as we looked at the menu, the waitress Lauren charmed us. We stayed in this restaurant because of the friendly atmosphere. Lauren also served us and explained some of the menu to us. She served us super quickly and also helped us to find some English words. We wish Lauren all the best. She is an asset in the catering industry. Many thanks to all other employees. Keep it up👍👍

The restaurant was overall good from my expiriance but sadly not from my family's they ordered schnitzels and they where not good from taste. The service was great my mother spilled her drink within 5 seconds there was someone to help. Overall an great restaurant althoug I think they just got unlucky with what we ordered (the burger and cesar salad were great)

Another beautiful restaurant in Dresden! Very nice menu! Reasonable price! Rib eye is very tender, chicken breast is a little dry, meat balls are very flavourful, mashed yam potato is very tasty too. Glass noodles salad is good but needs a little more veggies…it was mostly noodles. All in all it was good… highly recommended.

Very tasty food and drinks, even a slightly different meat than you might be used to. Very nice service rounded off our stay.

Food was delicious, the team was friendly. Unfortunately the music was way too loud. Personally, I like to go out to eat to chat with friends and not to shout across the table at the music. Then I would go to the concert. But that's just my own opinion. As I said, everything else was fine.

The two of us were here for dinner during the week and spontaneously got a nice place outside. Ambience and service are great. The service was regular but not intrusive. Drinks and food also came quickly. My rump steak was cooked to medium rare, well seasoned and the side dishes and sauces were also very tasty. The price was also reasonable. At first I thought this was a tourist trap - luckily that's not the case at all. Later at night there was also really good live music, which rounded off our evening perfectly. Therefore: absolute recommendation! The only “tip”: There are no really Australian dishes here, apart from the Kangoroo. But if you know that over there it's a run-of-the-mill product and the cheapest meat on the market, it might not be the best decision. Maybe we should position ourselves more broadly here.

We came here quite spontaneously and were very impressed by Ayers Rock. The service was friendly, but not stiff, but also a bit of fun. The prices are absolutely fine. All in all it was a pleasant evening for us.

Unfortunately very mixed. My friend has been there three times over the years and has always been very satisfied. This time the food (Uluru platter for 2) was ok, but nothing more. Kangaroo was delicious, beef was very heavily steaked. The cocktails were good and the service was attentive and quick despite being “Full House”. This time unfortunately the price/performance wasn't right for me.

Found this place in Dresden. Australian restaraunt that served ostrich and kangaroo. The food was fantastic and the staff great. Went twice in two days. Also had gluten free options so was perfect.

I was there with my family and we all found it very nice and tasty. Two of my family have been there before and that's why we went to this restaurant. The only thing that was a bit unpleasant was the smoke that came into the interior from the outside area when the window was open. But there was no other way to solve it. The street there is narrow and the smokers were sitting in front of the window. It was also summer, which meant that we had to ventilate. But everything else was fine and therefore 5/5 stars.

Dank der Vorbestellung bekamen wir Platz, das Essen war vorzüglich und schmackhaft, sehr gute Bedienung. Würden wieder kommen.

We went there for dinner and we really enjoyed it. Service was nice and service was quick. Food and drinks were very tasty. We sat outside but the heaters meant we weren't cold.

Okay, es ist nicht die sächsische Küche aber wir kommen immer wieder gerne her. Beides (Bar und Restaurant) können wir empfehlen. Dieses Mal hatte ich die Currywurst vom Känguru und die war richtig lecker. Meine Frau hatte sich für ein vegetarisches Gericht entschieden. Wir hatten beide einen Cocktail, die auch sehr gut gewesen sind. Wir kommen wieder!

Great restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, good service and delicious food. If you walk from the Frauenkirche towards the Elbe through Münzgasse, you will pass here. The restaurant inside is comfortably furnished, outside there is a heated terrace for summer and winter. The food here is something different and very tasty. The menu changes from time to time and the current daily specials are clearly visible on boards. There is a good selection from classic schnitzel to unusual Australian dishes. The range of cocktails is large and they are very tasty and well mixed. The prices are a bit high, but the price-performance ratio is good! Regardless of whether you just want to buy a drink or something to eat, I have never experienced unwelcoming service here. The staff is friendly. It can sometimes take a little longer if there is a lot going on. But that's ok for me. If there is no space, simply contact the staff. They're happy to help. The seats on the terrace are usually full. But here too it helps to ask and just wait a few minutes. The restaurant is one of the few in the old town that is open a little longer (until 2 a.m.), including the terrace! We always enjoy coming here. Clear recommendation!

What does a kangaroo, ostrich or crocodile taste like? This question can be answered at Ayers Rock in Dresden. The restaurant has a nice ambience. The service is quick and friendly. The Tira Misu with flambéed rum was also very tasty. Anyone who likes something exotic is in good hands here.

Still the best restaurant in the pedestrian zone. Food has changed but is still very tasty and on weekends the live music and atmosphere is still nice 😊

Always a highlight to visit Ayers Rock in Dresden. Sometimes the solo entertainers' music is a bit too loud. But otherwise there is nothing to complain about. My tip: Be sure to try the kangaroo cheeseburger :)

Auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant schauen wir gerne auf die Teller der Gäste, die Preise und ob zu viele Gäste einfach nur bei einem Getränk auf ihr Essen warten müssen. Hier hat alles gepasst und das besondere Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Atmosphäre draußen mit den Fotos der australischen Fauna und Tierwelt weckt die Reiselust zu diesem, uns noch unbekannten, leider sehr fernen Reiseziel.

Had dinner with 7 people! Mega service and an unbeatable kangaroo soup! Burgers both great! Although I liked the water buffalo better. The bread is also simply amazing! Bowls with poached eggs! Top… cocktails great and staff that is endlessly courteous! Toilets clean! So we can only recommend it! You'll enjoy eating there!

A nice shop with delicious cocktails. Atmosphere is cozy, if you like live music you'll be in good hands here in the evenings. We can't rate the food because we were only here for drinks. Ms. Lindner as a waitress seems to live and love her job as a waitress - a really great person! Thank you for the lovely hospitality!!

Very cozy atmosphere, a huge selection of delicious cocktails and excellent food. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, the side dishes were chosen appropriately and the portion was just right. The employees are very friendly and clearly enjoy their sometimes very stressful job. Definitely a must again on your next visit to Dresden!!!

The highlight was definitely the ice cream sundaes as dessert. Otherwise I was unfortunately a bit disappointed with the food - especially for the price :/

We had a great time here, with a couple caveats. As we walked up, we were.. greeted? by the rude waiter that everyone mentions in the reviews. I don’t think greeted is the right word, and my dining partner nearly walked off right then, but I was ready (from having read the reviews) and just chuckled at his rudeness. I think it may be an act, as I can’t imagine someone that brusque and rude actually choosing to wait tables at a tourist trap, but your mileage may vary. We went right over to the other waiters and spoke to Madeline, who ended up being our server for the evening. She was positively charming and a complete delight. Her service was definitley the highlight of the meal. We both ordered the water buffalo burger, and I would encourage anyone dining here to get something else. Water buffalo is generally lean, and that made the patty a bit dry, which is why the drown it in sauce. I’ve had much better burgers, but at least the sweet potato fries were spot on. I had a tall weissbier and my partner had the house red beer. We each like the other’s beer more than our own order, so we swapped, and had a great time of it. All in all, it’s what you would expect. A touristy place with a few gimmicks on the menu and a super deep drink list, in a beautiful location, with a cool atmosphere. You’re at a place that has kangaroo, ostrich, and crocodile on the menu in the heart of the most-visited tourist district in the whole country. Don’t take yourself too seriously, down a beer or two and enjoy yourself.

If you could give 0 stars, this restaurant would deserve 2 stars. Food is frozen goods and almost inedible, as there seem to be amateurs in the kitchen here. So before you eat here, cook at home, it's 100 times better. I don't even want to start with the conditions, extremely unfriendly and no idea how to do this job. We were served by 5 different people here and one was worse than the next. So it's an absolute disaster and absolutely no recommendation to eat anything here. Judging by the quality of food, food poisoning is not far away here.

The restaurant impresses with a pleasant ambience and a central location that still offers a relaxed atmosphere. The service was outstanding and the food was served very quickly. We were initially seated inside, with the advice that we could change tables as soon as one outside became available - which didn't take long. The soups and house bread are particularly recommended. This restaurant will definitely be on the to-do list on our next visit to Dresden.

Unfortunately, friendliness and accommodating are very important in the store. The food was very good, although too expensive for what you received. Service very cheeky. When asked if you can turn on the lights, the answer was 'most people have a cell phone with a flashlight'. That wasn't the only unfriendly comment during our visit. An absolute tourist shop that is designed so that people visit it once and then don't come back.

I gave him a tip to acknowledge his friendliness. Very unusual extreme lack of service culture in the middle of Europe...

Sheppard's Pie - a baked potato with minced Australian game meat was tasty in itself, but the combination is very dry, and unfortunately the potato skin wasn't thin either and therefore couldn't be eaten. On the other hand, the pan-fried glass noodles with teriyaki chicken skewers were a real culinary delight. The chicken skewers were buttery tender, the coconut-lime sauce went perfectly with the glass noodles and the mango pieces complemented the whole dish. The cucumber-lime-mint lemonade went well together and was therefore a delicious refreshment. On the other hand, the pomegranate kiwi mojito was not convincing in terms of taste. You looked for the kiwi in vain, and the cocktail was far too sweet. Due to the rather small glass, there is little in the drink containing ice, pomegranate seeds and mint. After dinner we decided on the typical Australian lamingtons. You can do it, but you don't have to. These are ready-made pastries that are super sweet and garnished with extra chocolate sauce. The service was mixed, he was always friendly but he often seemed arrogant. Because he often spoke English to us. So I ask myself, why? Because he knew the German language! Our plates were simply cleared away without asking. My companion actually wanted to finish her glass noodles. Our order of Lemingtons was completely forgotten, but brought quickly when we asked. The atmosphere is really nice and a perfect location in Dresden's old town.

I go to Dresden at least 2-3 times a month to eat a real steak. Two years ago everything was beautiful, but for 3-4 months I suspect that the chef is new. The staff is unfriendly and the waitresses don't smile at all. The fries are bad. I'm very sorry, but I'm very disappointed. I don't like coming anymore.
