I was invited to a birthday party. This time it was very good.

We had a wonderful wedding day. Everything went exactly as we had imagined. The food was absolutely delicious and a big hit with all our guests. The pre-wedding consultations were also incredibly warm, professional, and perfectly organized. Thank you so much for your wonderful support on our special day!

My husband and I had lunch at Averdunkshof on November 16th. We had reserved by phone beforehand and mentioned we were using a voucher book. We enjoyed a generous and very tasty meal. Many thanks again to the kitchen and service staff.

We visited Averdunkshof for the first time today using the Schlemmerblock voucher booklet. We'd love to come back. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. 👍

We ate at this restaurant today and ordered, among other things, an expensive steak (€31.90). Unfortunately, our experience was unsatisfactory. Upon the first service, two portions of fries were completely cold, and one of the steaks was almost well-done instead of medium-rare. The salad we ordered was also missing. The first waitress was very friendly and understanding. After complaining, the dishes were taken back, but we had to wait about 20 minutes for the replacements. When the food was served again, we received fries instead of the rosemary potatoes we had ordered. When we pointed this out, the waitress reacted irritably, rolled her eyes, and informed us that the kitchen was about to close. We found this very unprofessional. The remaining portion of fries was again cold. Overall, we were very disappointed with the service, the portion sizes, and how our complaints were handled—especially considering the high prices, we expected significantly more professionalism and attention to detail. Unfortunately, no compensation was offered.

Very tasty, unfortunately times have become expensive

We celebrated our wedding at the Tenne in September and are still thrilled. Everything was executed as discussed, the food was excellent, and our guests loved the location. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. The playground and large lawn are ideal for children to play in. We will definitely come back and enjoy the restaurant and beer garden in the summer.

A very disappointing experience, with little customer service or thoughtfulness. We called in the afternoon to reserve a table for 7:15 - 7:30 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant promptly at 7:30 p.m., we were immediately told at the entrance that the kitchen had already closed and that they could therefore only offer us drinks. Since we drove all the way from Willich, we are now really annoyed that they didn't inform us that the kitchen closes at 7:30 p.m. when we reserved the table over the phone. That really wouldn't have been too much to ask. Then we definitely would have saved ourselves the 30-minute drive each way. A quick note on the phone could have prevented this annoyance. Not even a small compensation was offered. Very, very unpleasant! We probably won't be coming again. Edit - Rating adjusted from 1 star to 4 stars: Shortly after this – admittedly very disappointing – experience, I received a personal call from the chef, who formally apologized for the inconvenience and made up for it all with a generous compensation. We really enjoyed the food. We were very impressed by the taste, the craftsmanship, and the unique combination. It was also presented very attractively (as we all know, food is delicious) with a few well-matched and unusual flavors. The selection was really good and sufficient, not too much, but well-specialized. Dessert also offered a good selection, also very attractively presented. We would also like to thank you for the thoughtful way in which a misconduct was handled in this case to restore guest satisfaction. They understood how to turn disgruntled guests into satisfied guests afterward through such actions and restore the reputation. We would be happy to come back!

We celebrated our wedding here and had a few tasting meals beforehand. The location is beautiful and its farmhouse charm makes it warm and inviting. There is the option for an open-air ceremony and plenty of space for group bookings and a children's playground. Both the day-to-day operations and the event management are impeccable; the team at Averdunkshof is fantastic. We were thrilled with everything from the processing of the quote to the attention to special requests to the actual service at the wedding. The food was fantastic and received many compliments from the entire wedding party. The service team was also flexible and well-prepared at the wedding. The day after, everyone we met was friendly and helpful too. We look forward to celebrating our wedding anniversary here again.

We were able to celebrate our wedding at the Averdunkshof and were absolutely thrilled. Everyone enjoyed the food, and the service was impeccable. Wow wow wow The waitress Lotta was not only polite, nice, and pretty, but also lightning fast at taking orders. She zipped through the spacious rooms of the Averdunkshof. The toilets! Needless to say, I went to the restroom to, well, you know, do something: The toilets were comfortable (😁) I've sat in better ones, but this one didn't let me judge them. Mistakes happen! It's not good that the main course is served before the starter. Then, 20 minutes later (!), after you've finally received the starter, the same COLD main course that was already served is cheeky! The fact that the complaint isn't even followed by an apology is unforgivable. But that's probably due to the fact that the main business is celebrations, not the daytime guests! It's a shame; a really nice location, but not hospitable!

We celebrated our wedding in the barn at Averdunkshof, and it was simply perfect. The organization was seamless from start to finish, and all our wishes were met. From the beautiful wedding meadow and the stunning outdoor area to our lovingly designed room, we couldn't have imagined anything better. I don't know how to rate it. We were there with several people. Several people in our group had already been there before us. They told us that the waitress had to be specifically asked to clean the table. Most of the group was very satisfied with the food. The service had its ups and downs. While the young blonde waitress was friendly and prompt, another woman was more occupied standing behind the bar and watching the others at work. Drink orders were regularly asked.

We were there on a Thursday with 12 people. The restaurant was almost empty. Unfortunately, the staff was overwhelmed and unfriendly when it came to criticism. The bottled drinks weren't properly chilled. We then ordered additional ice cubes. My beer glass still had the previous customer's lipstick on it. We waited a long time for the food. This long wait was rewarded by the very good food. All the dishes arrived at the same time. Kudos to the kitchen. The prices are a bit too high in my opinion. In my opinion, I don't write for everyone.

Yes. We ordered fries with currywurst for several people. The fries were ready. The currywurst wasn't ready until about 15-20 minutes later. Everyone was upset about it. Since fries aren't an appetizer, of course.

I was there as a freelance speaker. The wedding meadow is very beautiful, very natural, with wildflowers all around. However, my wedding was the second one that afternoon. The party from the wedding ceremony was in full swing. Their venue and garden bordered the meadow. It was very loud, and the music was getting louder and louder. I had to turn my microphone up and up so that my guests could hear anything. That really wasn't nice for my bride and groom. The venue needs to make sure that the second wedding ceremony has the same conditions as the first. I think it's unfair to earn twice as much money and then not pay attention. The wedding moment is what will be remembered. For future couples, please definitely contact me!!!

Excellent wedding venue - top service - outstanding food We recently celebrated our wedding at the Kornkammer. From the initial viewing and initial quote to the final planning, the communication with Lukas and Tim was always to our complete satisfaction. Both were on hand with advice and support. Any queries were answered promptly. The wedding meadow was the absolute highlight for us. The quality of the food, whether at the restaurant, during the rehearsal dinner, or at the reception itself, was consistently excellent. The service was also impeccable. The food here is really good and plentiful. Some of the plates were very beautifully presented. The ambiance in the restaurant is good, though the extremely strong chemical smell in the restroom is a slight drawback. I'd be happy to come back.

I was there for a wedding. It was a fantastic location. With a great playground for the kids!

We celebrated our wedding here in the barn. Location: The courtyard is beautifully designed. The wedding meadow with the small bridge in front is beautiful. Children are also well catered for with a playground. Both reception rooms are well separated from the beer garden and the rest of the hustle and bustle, although the barn is much more open to the beer garden. But you are still separated from the rest. There is ample parking - even though both rooms are used for celebrations. Staff: The owners and staff were a great help with the organization. They took the time to answer all questions and explain everything. They were always available, and follow-up questions were answered promptly. The final planning was also well organized and handled in a structured manner. We had the feeling that everyone was very concerned about ensuring our wedding ran smoothly. They offered good advice and ideas. The staff was also a great help during the wedding. In the warm weather, drinks were also provided for us on the wedding lawn, and they cleaned up the lawn for us so we could celebrate undisturbed – a huge help! The service at dinner, kitchen service, and bar was also fast and good. Only at dinner did the staff struggle to keep up with refilling the water bottles on the table. After repeated reminders, it was resolved. After the ceremony, the staff helped with dismantling and the next day with removal. They were quick to assist us when it came to getting leftovers out of the refrigerator or helping with other things. Food: We had the chance to sample the food in advance at the tasting dinner. For about €35 per person, you could try almost the entire repertoire from their buffet menu (including water) (starter, main course, and dessert), as well as a candy bar, lemonade bar, and ice cream freezer. There was more than enough for everyone. Afterward, each participant was allowed to take leftovers home with them – packaging was provided. A huge plus for me. Not only because I had something to eat the next day, but also because as little as possible was thrown away. Our buffet at the wedding was just as great as the rehearsal dinner. If not even more delicious. It was also beautifully and neatly presented – and there was enough of everything for everyone. The sauces were super tasty and well-balanced, the meat tender and just right – nothing too salty, nothing too bland. In summary, absolutely delicious. We took as many leftovers as we could fit at home. If we had our own refrigerator at home, we would have scraped everything out. The snack with the champagne was not only an eye-catcher, but also a very tasty snack between meals. It went down well. Top recommendations: tortellini with cream sauce, chicken with mushroom cream sauce, falafel balls, ratatouille, and the salmon with dill sauce. Our compliments to the kitchen! Price: Organizing a wedding isn't cheap - no matter where. However, I think you can definitely find a good and fair partner here. Not least because they're reasonable, willing to compromise, and accommodating. Of course, it's cheaper, but here you can get the all-inclusive package very early on. Conclusion: I definitely recommend it. Our tip: If you're considering two packages (e.g., Standard or Premium, or Premium and Premium Plus), the cheaper one will probably suffice if you're worried about the quantity. 😉 Otherwise, just talk to the organizer and ask everything. They're very helpful and always ready to offer advice and support. If we were to get married again, Averdunkshof would be our choice again.

We had smooth communication beforehand, the team was always there to help us with any requests, and on the day itself, we were able to enjoy the service and delicious food with our guests! We celebrated our wedding at Averdunkshof on June 14, 2025. We had a wonderful wedding reception and are so glad we chose Averdunkshof. Not only did we love the atmosphere, but our guests also enjoyed it and praised the location! There were plenty of green spaces all around, and everyone felt at home. The food was excellent and the service was super friendly. Even our individual requests were accommodated. All in all, a dreamy and very successful day!

OK, it's summer, the food was great, it arrived after an hour, and a young student served us, which was also good because she made up for any shortcomings with her politeness and wit. The staff, if there was any at all, were completely overwhelmed! Professionalism could be better!

It must get dark earlier here! The opening hours say it's open until lights out. That happens here even in the summer at 9 p.m.! I've rarely experienced someone snatching my plate from under my fork.

We celebrated our wedding last August in the barn at Averdunkshof. Lukas and Tim were always easy to reach in advance. Emails were answered quickly. We were able to decorate the room the night before, as we were lucky and no other events were taking place there. Our celebration went as planned. The service was excellent. The barbecue buffet was fantastic. Our guests are still raving about it! Leftover food and wine were packed for us and not thrown away. We loved that. The team was also on hand the next day (when we were taking down the decorations) with help and advice. We can definitely recommend Averdunkshof!

The service was slow we only got our food after 1 1/2 hours

Lea or Lena, the waitress, was very unfriendly. When we asked for another coffee, chaos erupted. My son-in-law was even threatened by the chef because we were supposed to pay for the coffee we ordered but didn't get. It should also be mentioned that we dined with 20 people for about €800.

If you want a comfortable, quiet meal, then give this place a wide berth. The atmosphere is like a barnyard. Children scream and play in the dining room. Waiters move tables and chairs around during the meal. And they're not exactly averse to screaming either. You had to arrange for missing cutlery yourself. The food was okay. Starter: Salmon was way too salty. Asparagus burrata was no longer available. Burrata was out. Alternative asparagus soup. However, I couldn't detect any asparagus flavor, as the asparagus was missing; it was completely overseasoned and laced with woody cress. When I asked if it tasted good, I complained and explained. It was also passed on to the chef, and I was given a salad as a substitute. At the same time, the explanation was: yes, that's right, there are some asparagus pieces missing, which, according to the chef, shouldn't be in the soup. Excuse me?? Are you serious? What kind of soup did I have? However, when I suddenly had to justify myself to the chef personally because I had dismissed it as instant soup, it was pretty extreme. After all, I never said that, which my tablemates confirmed. Chef: "Well, that's fine then." Nothing good, the evening was definitely ruined. The main course arrived late. The burger was okay, the schnitzel too, but the sauce that came with it...what was that? And it actually looked like it had been spiced up with instant sauce. Incidentally, the schnitzel eaters spent the rest of the evening in the bathroom afterward. Thus, the introduction to the restrooms. Sorry, but this is truly outrageous. One of the toilets overflowed and was filled with water. Everything was dirty. Trash cans overflowed. Both the men's and women's restrooms were outrageous. I should really stick around and use the restroom first before ordering something. That says a lot. Finally, the bill. Splitting the bill was quite a challenge. The bill was also incorrect, but luckily we noticed, because the waiter didn't care. Overall, we felt more than welcome and ripped off. But okay, we don't care about the place in the future. We were there once and will never go back. We definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Mother's Day! Waited 1 1/2 hours for food. Even drinks were not asked for in between. There was nothing going on in the restaurant! When drinks or food were brought, they were slapped there. We had to ask for glasses and cutlery. No thanks!

We went there by bike and sat in the beer garden. Something cool to drink and a great playground for the kids. We will try the food on our next visit. 👍

We were here for Easter brunch. Plenty of choice, breakfast with smoked salmon, mozzarella tomatoes and a selection of warm dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon, falafel. Hot lunch and a selection of small desserts. Nice atmosphere in an old farm. Very nice and attentive service. We'd love to come back.

The staff was always attentive and the selection of dishes was very rich and varied. It was always refilled immediately when something was empty. If we weren't all already full, we would have liked to eat more because it was so delicious. The beer garden is also very nice to relax in. We would love to come back. We ate here for the first time. The ambience is very nice, an old farm, the guests are spread out in the spacious dining room, making it pleasantly quiet. The map is clear. Personally, I don't like having to choose from 30, 40 or more main courses. It's better to have a small, clear menu with selected vegetarian, poultry, beef and pork dishes. Here you can get schnitzel, steaks and vegetarian dishes in a few variations, as well as nice and tasty starters. We were a small group and everyone really enjoyed their menu.

We celebrated our winter wedding last weekend in the Averdunkshof granary and it couldn't have been better. Everything was as discussed, the food was delicious, the location was wonderful. It wasn't just us, it was also the feedback from the guests. The preliminary meeting, the rehearsal dinner and the smaller coordination in advance also went smoothly. The service was a bit understaffed at the beginning, but was subsequently improved, so we can't complain about anything. Clear recommendation and many thanks to the whole team.

Staff was inattentive despite few customers. Food wasn't really my thing. Little choice for vegetarians and nothing at all for pescatarians.

Rarely have I had such a bad meal! Food was completely unseasoned. First the schnitzel came, then at some point the side dish. Salad was much too sour and with cheese, which I don't like. So a new salad had to be brought. Waiter had a hard time with change, didn't have it enough...couldn't share the food, so had to split the bill between us. Waiters always rumbled in so loudly (shouted loudly), very unpleasant! Never again! It was far too expensive for what was on offer!

I have been a guest at Averdunkshof for several years. There is a beer garden, which is adjoined by a large lawn with play equipment for children, rooms for parties and a rustic and cozy restaurant. The food is good, although the prices have risen, but unfortunately that is generally the case. I don't like that the otherwise friendly staff has resorted to addressing guests as "du", including the older "semesters". I know that other guests also feel disturbed by this. The owners should perhaps think about whether the general use of first names among guests is appropriate.
