Aunty Zhong’s in Frankfurt am Main

I’ve been coming to this place for years. They have amazing Chinese Ramen prepared by the owner in a cozy environment. A go to in a cold (or basically any) evening.

Delicious food. Great concept. You order and pay at the counter and receive a notification when your food is ready.

Good and authentic Chinese soups. You can really taste the difference and the quality.

Yummy noodles and soups. I recommend.

We spontaneously stopped here for lunch. There were plenty of seats and the service was very friendly! The noodles were freshly pulled. The broth could have been stronger, but it could have been seasoned with chili oil and vinegar. For the price, there could have been more meat. The daikon salad advertised with carrots in the picture came without any carrots.

So, my stomach rumbles quite a bit after eating. It was averagely tasty, and there was no soap.

It was delicious! The noodles were very chewy and clearly handmade, with a nice al dente texture. The portion was huge, so I couldn't finish it all, but it should be plenty for a guy. The pork belly and braised large intestine were also delicious. The accompanying sauerkraut, though German, was surprisingly good! The owner seems to be Chinese, and the flavors are tailored to Taiwanese tastes!

Really good, not too salty and real pieces of meat for the pork ribs.

I came here for lunch after an appointment in Frankfurt. The building is currently covered in scaffolding, and it's easy to walk past. If you decide to go inside, you'll be rewarded with really good food. The decor is spartan, and service is self-service only. But that shouldn't stop you from eating here. Unfortunately, the area around Aunty Zhong's isn't so nice due to the nearby main train station.

The Food was great, especially the handmade noodles. Staff was friendly as well.

I love the noodle soup here, the hand pulled noodles are bouncy and chewy, the bone broth is delicious, and the toppings are all wonderful. There is a vegetarian broth if requested, but if you are not vegetarian, I would.atrongly recommend the pork bone broth even with the vegetarian topped soups. Atmosphere is a bit like a canteen, but the owners are extremely welcoming and always have a smile.

Nice noodles and good soup base.

Aunty Zhong is a very pleasant, small, unassuming restaurant, which pleasantly surprised me, even though I'm not the biggest noodle soup fan. Contrary to expectations, the ambiance is very calm and authentically appealing. The staff who served us was extremely friendly and accommodating. A clear recommendation for fans of Chinese cuisine!

Delicious food, made to order with homemade pasta. The price is higher than I expected (€13.50 per dish), but it's worth it!

The beef brisket ramen has a Taiwanese flavor. The pork rib rice is different from what you imagine in Taiwan. But it is also delicious. The pig ears are even more delicious.

Delicious homemade noodles and delicious tea eggs. Very authentic, with many Chinese chefs on site, a sign of quality. Very quick preparation. A top spot for a good, quick lunch.

Self Service. Very efficient kitchen with only 2 people working in the Restaurant and they are friendly. The noodles are so tasty that I drank almost all the soup. 2 small side dishes coriander and sauer cabbage. The music is chinese songs popular among those born in the 1980's.

Staff is friendly, food is great since we were craving some Chinese noodle and the noodles were no doubt on point. We also tried braised pig ear, which was delicious but a bit too oily for our taste by the end of the meal but definitely you have to try their soups options regardless if it's noodle or wantan. My friend ordered 01 option which is Beef Rib noodle with hand-pulled noodle (from our perspective) and I got the shrimp wantan. The shrimp wantan was a bit expensive but I do think the broth and the quality definitely makes up for it. The restaurant accept both card and cash.

The reason why it's empty is because of the location. It's delicious. Especially the noodles are really delicious. It feels like hand-cut noodles.

Very, very tasty dishes! The red curry, the soup with dumplings, and the freshly grated noodles (similar to udon) with peanut sauce were all delicious!

Very authentic dishes. The soups are very tasty. Not overly seasoned; you can add salt and spices to taste. The atmosphere is good, but it's more of a snack bar, so it's not a place to linger for long. The prices are reasonable. Starting at €10, you can get a decent bowl of noodle soup. You can complement your noodle soup with various side dishes, such as dumplings.

Eine der ersten, wenn nicht DIE Adresse für chinesische Nudelsuppen in Frankfurt. Die Nudeln sind hausgemacht und kommen in einer differenzierten, geschmackstiefen Brühe (wahlweise auch vegetarisch). Weitere Zutaten nach Wahl. Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht und lädt nicht unbedingt zu ausdauernden Verweilen an; die Betreiber*innen sind ausnehmend freundlich. Mein persönlicher Favorit, wenn es um chinesische Nudelsuppen geht.

Whenever I arrive at the main train station, no matter what time of night I go to sleep, I can count on one thing: there's still noodle soup at Aunty Zhong. It's a small but clean shop, the counter staff was always nice to me, and they have interesting Asian drinks. There's nothing particularly spicy, but the noodles are handmade, the vegetables are fresh and if you ask, there's chicken too. For me, a shining fixed star near the main train station, where you usually don't like to stay 💫

Just the smell in the restaurant tells you how delicious the food must be. And that was it. After a short time it was finished.

Overall a quite good place to have a filling plate of noodle soup. First, the good: the quantities are really big. We were 6 people, we got 3 types of ramen, as well as two types of dumplings (soup and fried). All of it was relatively tasty and veeery filling! Also, the noodles are clearly handmade. The staff is very nice and helpful. Having said that, I would not say that the food here was excellent. The noodle soup clearly left something to be desired. I got the number 1, the beef and I felt that the broth lacked depth. The beef was cut in small chunks instead of thin slices, which did not allow the meat to truly mix with the broth. I liked the Bock Choi and the additional coriander but beyond that there were not too many ingredients in the soup, making it relatively indifferent. I might be wrong here because I have only had japanese ramen, so it's possible that this is the Chinese way. Still, taste-wise it was rather blant. The same goes for the dumpling soup. The dumplings were ok but nothing special and the soup had no taste. The fried dumplings seemed much better and the others ate them all. Finally, I don't know if this has to do with the area or if it was just the rainy day, but there were some fruit flies flying around. It was not a big issue, we were not disturbed by them while eating but I think it should be noted. Overall, I would say this is a nice place if you are hungry and need a good, warm bowl of noodle soup but I would not say it is a culinary experience.

I always go for ramen, but this time not Japanese, but Chinese ramen! It is located not far from the Frankfurt hbf. No reservation allowed. So, first come, first served! We enjoyed the atmostphere because we feel like in China 😉 it is nice to escape the 'German life' in Germany. Service was fast and friendly, food was really delicious 🥳🥳🥳🥳

The ambience is okay, but here and there there are private items lying around in front of the corridor or the entrance that don't belong. The food looks clean, but it's not designed for every palate. I didn't taste anything. The service or the one at the counter is rather not friendly.

It's nice and clean, but pork backbone? The taste of the noodles was ok.. The broth had a unique tasteless taste. The gyoza was ok too.

I went without previously seeing reviews or anything, it was a Sunday and I went in because everything was closed. The truth is that the portion for €12 is very good, but in terms of flavor I lacked it. I'm a fan of Asian food in general and this place is tasty, but not amazing.

I ate here for the first time today and it was very tasty. Fresh, delicious and authentic. The noodles were homemade and very tasty. It's a good thing I stopped here because both the kimchi and the soup were worth every penny. The service was quick and friendly. I'd love to come back 🥰

Everything great. Super tasty and fast service. Apparently very popular with both locals and tourists. We managed to get a seat at 6:30 without any problems, and at 6 (on a Tuesday!) the store was packed. Both the noodle soup and the noodles with peanut sauce were very tasty and obviously homemade. A big recommendation!

4.75 stars. The food is great. The homemade noodles are very tasty. In a restaurant you order at the counter and get a detector that signals when the food is ready. There is a great chili oil and Chinese vinegar. As a side dish I had a MuErrPilz salad. This one was also very good. Overall it is quite clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly.

I don’t know why people give this restaurant good reviews. There are no waiters and you have to help yourself. It feels like you’re going to a fast food restaurant. The most important thing is that the ramen is really not that good. It is far inferior to other hand-pulled noodle restaurants in France, and the price is not cheap. I only tried it once. Ich weiß nicht, warum die Leute diesem Restaurant gute Bewertungen geben. Es gibt keine Kellner und man muss sich selbst bedienen. Das Wichtigste ist, dass die Ramen wirklich nicht so gut sind wie in anderen Restaurants mit handgezogenen Nudeln und der Preis ist nicht billig. Es reicht mir nur einmal zu probieren!

Great value for money for the food and generally really delicious food! The employees are also really warm and friendly. There are also great options for veggies. Maybe the shop is a bit inconspicuous from the outside, but it's really worth a visit (or another visit!)! 😊

Super tasty soups and noodles at a fair price. They concentrate on what they can do and they do it great. The ambience doesn't invite you to linger for hours, but it is a very popular restaurant where you can also find many people of East Asian origin.

I came here from the street. I ordered vegetarian and it was delicious - for me. I love different soups and this one did not disappoint me. I think the rest are just as good. Maybe there will be an opportunity to try it another time because this portion filled me up a lot. If you like this type of cuisine, dishes or you like to discover new flavors, you have come to the right place. You can add a little spicy food and you will be warm and satisfied

I have been in Europe for more than a week and have tried no less than ten Chinese restaurants. This is the only authentic and delicious Chinese restaurant worth recommending.

Super nice staff and I felt very welcome. Lots of choice and there is definitely something for everyone. And since the noodles are homemade, they are also super authentic. I definitely recommend it and will come back much more often. Nice experience!!

Never judge a book by its cover. It’s fair to say Aunty Zhong’s is not in the most picturesque parts of Frankfurt (in fact quite the opposite). But don’t let that put you off, or walk past it. The outside is no representation of what’s inside. Inside, the food is excellent, the staff are friendly, and it’s clean. Highly recommended
