Okay for a chain/franchise, but not the holy grail of gastronomy. Selection of food is appropriate; Kale with pee on the daily menu surprised me for a Bavarian-themed shop. 😆

We went here spontaneously for dinner yesterday. We love Bavarian beer and the food. We had a really nice and humorous waiter. The atmosphere in this house is really great. It is quaint and yet modern. The food was super tasty. If we are in Erfurt again, we will definitely come back.

Ich war im September 2024 an einem herrlichen Sonntag Nachmittag im Lokal, um mit ein paar Freunden Mittag zu essen und das Wochenende mit ein paar Getränken ausklingen zu lassen. Bestellt hatte ich ein Biergulasch mit Klößen. Das Gulasch war zäh, wie ich es selten gegessen habe, die Soße wässig und alles war lauwarm, lediglich die Klöße waren heiß. Ich komme seit 12 Jahren in dieses Lokal, meistens nur zum Biertrinken. Dieser Sonntag rief mir das wiedermal in Erinnerung. Das Bier schmeckt aber. Der Service ist meist freundlich, wenn auch aufgrund der Größe der Restaurantfläche teilweise dünn besetzt, besonders an sonnigen Tagen. Nice location to bend your helmet. The body carnival starts with €50, so you don't need any food. If the condition were faster, more could be introduced.

Great location to celebrate with several people

This time it was nothing. Long waiting times in unpleasant temperatures. Only outdoor operation and service need a lot of improvement. It's also not a restaurant that relies on regular guests.

Food, service and ambience a straight A! 100 percent recommendation!

The experience was fine, nice atmosphere, thematically of course strongly oriented towards Bavaria. Unfortunately, there were no culinary excellences to be found here during my visit. The sausage salad as a starter was unfortunately very poorly dressed and tasted predominantly of vinegar. The highlight here was the bread, which was very tasty. The sausage was finely sliced, but a bit too firm for my taste (but that's a regional thing, Bavarian is like that) In the main course, the Leberkäse platter for two was a little unfocused on the Leberkäse. The four varieties were tasty, but only half of each was available. Without a starter, the very large amount of salad and the potato salad, which is shown on the menu as a side dish - in contrast to the mixed one - are always filling. Here, too, the salad dressings unfortunately hardly met my taste - the mixed salad had both too much sweetness and also too much acidity, so less would perhaps be more, and the potato salad was also predominantly sour overall. I tried a colleague's Kässpätzle, which was very tasty and nicely spicy. All in all: definitely worth a visit, but the salads aren't necessarily a highlight.

Schweinshaxe bestellt; sah ja lecker aus. Aber: innen drin stellenweise kalt; Stellenweise schmeckte sie wenigstens 8 Tage alt. Das Kraut dazu auch großteils kalt. Nur der Knödel war heiß. Bei der Bedienung dann reklamiert. Sie meinte: Mit der Hax´n hatten wir heute schon mehrere Probleme. Da frage ich mich: warum stellt man das nicht spätestens bei der 2. Reklamation ab?! Es gab als Entschädigung ein Bier auf´s Haus. Aber der Abend war irgendwie trotzdem verdorben.

Der Biergarten liegt wunderschön mit Blick auf die Rückseite der Krämerbrücke an der Gera. Das Bier genau richtig temperiert, die Bedienung fleißig und meine „zweierlei vom Topfen“ für 7.50 € hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The sausage meat was completely miserable for a Thuringian, and the onions were braised far too short. Our waitress probably didn't have the best day either, very unfriendly.

What can I say; I immediately feel at home in an Augustiner brewery, no matter where it is!!! And that's what happened to me in the Augustiner in Erfurt on the Krämerbrücke!!! The historical atmosphere paired with the extremely tasty beer and the great view all add up to absolute bliss!!! The nice ladies and gentlemen from the service rarely make you wait long for the drinks you've been waiting for and overall they do a very good job!!! There is a beautiful beer garden in front of the house, and inside there are comfortable seats on different floors where you can sit for a few hours. The next time I'm in Erfurt, a visit to this brewery is definitely a must!!! 🍺😎

Absolutely great atmosphere and the knuckle was also very tasty. Unfortunately the fries were too crispy. BUT the staff came by themselves and gave 30% off this meal after the plate was cleared with the fries on it. 👍

wir waren am 15.08.24 mit 14 personen angemeldet obwohl die personenzahl auch im vorfeld von der gaststätte bestätigt wurde waren nicht genügend plätze vorhanden ein zusammenrücken der tische war auch nicht möglich wir sollten warten bis was frei wird nach etwa 20 minuten wartezeit haben wir uns entschlossen zu gehen jetzt endlich wurden servickräfte munter undd wollten uns plätze anbieten was wir dann aber abgelehnt haben das hat mit gastlichkeit nichts mehr zu tun wir sind in der nähe in ein anderes lokal gegangen wo sofort genügend plätze geschaffen wurden

We went to this restaurant yesterday to have a drink and a bite to eat. I still don't have the words to describe this fiasco. Service unfriendly, completely stressed and disorganized. Ordering drinks took a very long time. To eat we ordered chanterelle soup and then spicy meat. Unfortunately, both are completely inedible. Soup from a can, or wherever, and the spiced meat is just a lumpy mess. We just tried it and left everything on the plate. The cellar came looked at the plates and said, "Well, they weren't very hungry," we said we didn't like it, his comment was simply, "That's really good home-made home cooking, not everyone would like it." No apology or anything like that. Unbelievable! We come from the catering industry ourselves, and that was, at best, just opening the can ourselves. If you want to eat decently and well and have a nice evening, you should try your luck somewhere else.

When I'm in Erfurt, a visit is a must for me. Very good food, service really good. And the surroundings are very appealing anyway.

The atmosphere outside at the Krämerbrücke is of course nice due to the location. Unfortunately, it took quite a long time to be able to order the food, even though there were still many seats available. The schnitzel cannot keep up with the quality of the 'Schnitzler' on Domplatz.

Absolutely good location on the Gera with a great view of the Krämerbrücke. Very nice and attentive service, the beer was tapped quickly and was able to cool off in the wonderful sunshine. The food was delicious with a good price/performance ratio, top. We are coming back to Gera and to the Augustiner

I only went for a beer, but it was very good and you can sit wonderfully behind the Krämerbrücke and watch the tourists...

Food was awesome, but got scammed with the bill. Went there at the last day of a work trip. The waiter told me the price of 22.50 and I paid with card, she folded the receipt and handed it to me. Not asking nor confirming for a tip. Had to leave in the early morning and I didn't check the receipt, only to find out when I was at home that I got charged around 370 euros in tip. Tried to call the restaurant and send emails (even translated to be more accessible). Got no help from the calls and never an answer to the emails. Tried to ask at the bank to contest the payment but I was there and was my fault for not checking the receipt when it got handed to me so the restaurant didn't approve. Service was nice, food was really good.. but not worth 400 euros.

A very nice beer garden in a great location. The Augustiner beer is really outstanding, especially on tap. 🍺 The prices are fair considering the good location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I wasn't particularly impressed with the taste of the food I ordered, chanterelles and bread dumplings, but the side salad I ordered was huge (never seen that size before) Highly recommended, especially in summer 👍

Wir waren an einem Freitagabend hier. Es war sehr voll, die Bedienung im Stress. Flammkuchen mit Pfifferlingen, Sommersalat und 2 Bier. Passend zum Sommerwetter und uns hat es gefallen. Essen und Bier haben geschmeckt.

By far the worst sauerbraten I've ever eaten. Everything was lukewarm, the meat was tough, there was no trace of sour taste, the sauce was much too light, the side dishes looked like they came from a ready-made package. That's exactly what I told the waitress. The only response was “Honestly?” According to her description, my companion's salad was also "subterranean"

The service was horrible. First we ordered 2 drinks, the waiter brought us the wrong beer. Then we ordered our food, after waiting 45mins, I asked the same waiter when the food will come. He told us without any sorry that he didn’t order anything for us, which was a JOKE! During the waiting time, we ordered another beer, but he brought again the wrong beer. The food was okay, but there was some sand in the mashroom.

Certainly rated well because of the location. Unfortunately, several of our meals were forgotten, then brought incorrectly when we ordered again, or entire dishes were suddenly no longer available, which was not noticeable when we ordered the first time. The food wasn't anything special either, schnitzel was very dry, sauerbraten was tough, veal schnitzel became drier and drier as we ate, sauce and potatoes from the package. It's a shame for a brewery.

Visit on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at noon The Augustiner at the Krämerbrücke, founded in 1328, is located in the middle of the medieval city center of Erfurt and is therefore a very central point of contact. It has a very nice location on the "Fort" river and is away from car traffic, so full marks for the ambience. Since we went on a day trip to Erfurt, we got thirsty in between and the Augustiner made an inviting impression on us due to the location mentioned. Since the weather cooperated, we were even able to take a seat in the beautiful beer garden. It took a little while for an employee to notice us and then take our drink order. Special 0.5l for €5.20 Banana wheat 0.5l for €4.90 Unfortunately, when my drink, the banana wheat, arrived, I immediately saw that it had been poured incorrectly by the counter employee, because the banana juice was completely at the bottom and only the beer was on top. Here, with these mixed drinks, the beer is poured first and then the banana. Since there is cutlery for eating at every table, I took the liberty of borrowing a knife and using it to stir the beer with the banana. That's why I'm making deductions because of the incorrect pouring method, as you have to be told something like that as a counter worker. The price-performance ratio is in the upper middle range, but still affordable for the average person today. The Augustiner scores with its ambience and I would visit it again, next time with food.

The location of the place is brilliant. Located on the Gera not far from the Krämerbrücke. If the crowds of tourists don't annoy you, the Augustiner Pilsener will refresh you. Of course there are also other drinks to suit every taste. The food is OK. Not great, but not bad either. I rather enjoy the view, the beer and the hustle and bustle of the crowds passing by.

We stopped here twice for a small drink. As usual, delicious beer, a place by the river with a view of the Krämerbrücke. A subsequent walk along the water was beautiful. The service was very friendly, which makes it all the more confusing when you are told at the evening nightcap (after the Germany game, the European Football Championship and the cathedral concert) that several people had cheated on the bill that evening. These people toiled while you enjoyed yourself and now have to forego part of their wages. Shame on you!

I wanted to order a beer, but apparently I was sitting with the chair a little next to the table. The waiter then interrupted me and told me in a very snippy tone that I should put away my chair immediately. When I got up to put the chair away, he said I should go faster and put the chair away. I didn't order another beer and when I asked the waiter why he was being so personal, he told me that I didn't have to sit here. - Pity

Unfortunately, the waiter was really very unfriendly and impatient when I asked for seasonal beer. When we asked him why he was “so impatient” he replied in broken German “doesn’t suit you??” unfortunately no longer recommended for public viewing. Still a nice atmosphere, maybe the waiter had a bad day and was therefore unprofessional.

Delicious authentic Bavarian cuisine in the heart of Erfurt. Nice conditions, great and honest bosses who tell you to share your snack instead of ordering two. We did that too and were satisfied with a portion of great products on the plate for two. Thank you very much for that.

Very nice beer garden! Very nice service and fast. The food also came after a minute. And this is the problem. Meat plants and minced meatballs. And salad for 14.90, or 30 marks. So if I had taken a ready-made salad and meatballs from the package at the discount store, it would have tasted the same. I am very disappointed with such kitchen performance.

Went here to try something different. We really liked it! The service was very friendly and attentive, the beer was delicious, and the view from the balcony was also very nice. There was also a white sausage and pretzels, which were also delicious. The prices are also okay for today's conditions. We'll definitely come back for a real meal :)

A beautiful house, located directly on the river. It's quaint and rustic. The beer is delicious and drinkable. The waitresses are nice and quick. The food was very tasty, especially the dessert (strawberry nut crumble with ice cream).

Erfurt has a beautiful old town and that includes the Augustiner behind the Krämerbrücke. We are a group of men who decided many years ago to regularly visit this inn as a meeting place. The service is always friendly, despite the often full house and beer garden and sometimes long walks. This cannot be mentioned often enough. A great Bavarian ambience indoors and outdoors, as well as the culinary cuisine, which is also a feast for the eyes. Of course, the tasty Augustiner beer should not be missed. We can only recommend it for those who would like to stay in a cozy inn.

Location is very nice by the river. That's why we sat down unsuspectingly. Unfortunately the food was really bad. Customization of the dishes costs 1 euro. This is always a sign that the plates are already prepared in the cooler. That's how everything tasted. A nice restaurant with cozy tables and a great outdoor area. The staff could be a little more attentive and unfortunately the food wasn't really that special.

After a 450€ bill, you are thrown out because you are "too drunk" and treated rudely like a homeless person, food was very tasty but the service staff lack empathy and sensitivity when you announce in advance which group you will be showing up with and then ensures such sales.
