Super delicious food, very friendly service, huge portions

Rustic inn over 3 floors with beer garden.

I'm currently at the Augustiner Bräu. Restaurant with Bavarian, Thuringian and Ostalgie dishes. Located over several floors directly on the Krämerbrücke. Very well attended. Also the outside area. I had the beer goulash with 2 different classes. Very tasty and enough to fill you up. Delicious too 😋 Augustiner light. Had a lovely evening.

And 6 stars for Günni... Don't eat until tomorrow.

The Augustiner is located in a beautiful historic building. The guest rooms are spread over several floors, are not that big and are very comfortable. The menu includes Bavarian classics and Thuringian dishes. We received a friendly welcome, the service was quick and the food - Rostbrätel and farmer's breakfast - plentiful and tasty. If we are in Erfurt again, we would like to come back.

Augustiner speaks for itself. Go, enjoy, pay, leave and then come back. But please don't order any white sausages after 12 noon, that won't go down well ;)…

An Augustiner in Erfurt, expecting Bavarian cuisine here is somehow wrong. It's more or less a kind of interpretation of Bavarian cuisine and not necessarily a good one either. I can't speak for the "Ostalgie" menu, which features all kinds of specialties from the East. The portions are relatively large and I thought the table service was very good. It wasn't a problem getting a table for two people. I honestly thought the location was very good, it was quaint and cozy. I can also imagine that there is a great terrace in summer. Nevertheless, I still have a mixed overall impression here, as I associate Augustiner with something quintessentially Bavarian that you can't find here. But you also have to say that this is not the typical "tourist" economy. Somehow it feels like a place with an identity crisis. Well, there are certainly people who like it that way, after all it was well attended.

Food was and and quick. Drinks as it were. Service: Very nice. Was not good: toilet fees for guests. Next time we will choose a restaurant with use included. Too bad.

Dined in the restaurant once again and tried different dishes (steak with spiced meat, Rostbrätel, roast pork and barbecue areas) and once again let the enjoyment of the dish melt on your palate. It's not just the appealing, humorous depiction of the season ticket (DDR ticket) that invites you to eat, but the product itself. Here you can see that cooking is still done with attention to detail. This is rounded off with motivated and friendly service. Here you can only feel good

Very tasty food, very nice and attentive waiter and the best price-performance ratio in a restaurant for a long time. Great, can only be recommended! The location of the restaurant is of course also absolute on the Krämerbrücke.

We were there for lunch and got a table without any problems. The food was okay, there is Bavarian and Thuringian home cooking. The dark beer on tap was very tasty. The service worked and the waiter was nice. Thoroughly recommended, even if it’s right at the tourist hotspot of the Krämerbrücke.

It's pretty quaint, but quite loud and crowded. The service was very friendly. The food was too thorough and too spicy.

Nice atmosphere, very rustic and cozy. Located in the middle of the old town. Service friendly and quick. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy, we were served quickly. Delicious cask soda and beer. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment!!! And the volume was unbearable, like in a train station. We wouldn't visit this restaurant again, despite the rustic atmosphere, which we liked.

It's always an absolute culinary delight, and the Hax'n is particularly recommended! We've eaten here so many times now and have never been disappointed, be it with the food or the service. All wishes are fulfilled without any problems and the rustic ambience without intrusive music is very pleasant. Our tip for Erfurt.

Unfortunately, the quality of the knuckle did not meet expectations, as did that of the baked potato. The kitchen needs to improve significantly here. The service was very friendly and attentive.

The food is highly recommended! However, there was one small point of criticism - we had ordered a sauerbraten, which unfortunately was not edible because it had most likely been in the oven for too long - we informed the very nice waitress and she brought us a completely new dish! Thanks again to the woman with the reindeer headbands! 😊 The restaurant is highly recommended!

The restaurant is very nicely located. The interior is quaint and nice. The staff is friendly but not really interested in making the guest happy. After ordering an espresso macchiato, I asked what it was supposed to be? (it was warm water without milk) The waitress's shoulder-shrugging answer: “Yes, our coffee machine does it that way, ... people have complained about it several times...?!” 😳 The food wasn't perfect either. My duck was dry and tough... the red cabbage wasn't really soft and the pieces of cabbage were as big as if you had ordered a salad?! Too bad! I think it can only get better?! 😑

Cute little Christmas market at the Augustiner. With trombone choir. Pea soup/lentil soup with bockwurst and of course mulled wine. Highly recommended. Gladly again. 🎄😊👍

Great location and, as usual, great beer. We didn't eat but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Anyone who likes Augustiner will love the inn!

My wife and I just enjoyed a few good beers at the bar and were very entertained. Despite the full reservations, we were allowed to sit at the regulars' table. We'll come back to reserve a table to try the food.

Hello, we went to the Christmas market in Erfurt and ended up there by chance. The house was nicely finished with the Christmas outside area. Unfortunately, the female service inside was unfriendly or overwhelmed. To rate the food, which was the grill plate with fries, with one star is way too much. Fries tasted like everything but fries. Chicken meat not very creamy due to the meat, all in all about 30€ in the sand. But the beer tasted good

We visited the Augustiner at lunchtime and were looking forward to rustic tavern classics in a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was moderately busy with around 25 guests; at the beginning we were almost alone. Unfortunately, the overall quality of the food and service was disappointing. The starter soups were all served lukewarm and the service seemed overwhelmed. The main course was also served on cold plates, which further detracted from the dining experience. Unfortunately, the grill plate with fries (around €30) was particularly negative: the meat patties and the neck steak had a noticeably sour note, although the neck was already very tender. The lamb chops were cooked through, the turkey was stringy and dry. Only the small Thuringian bratwursts stood out positively. After this meal we went to the Erfurt Christmas market full of hope, but the day was overshadowed by repeated visits to various ceramics departments in the city.

Always a real pleasure here with delicious food with very little waiting time despite the full restaurant and fast service staff.

We went to Augustiner for our Christmas party as a team and it was the best choice we could have made. Even beforehand, the organization was uncomplicated and professional. All wishes were taken into account. We felt comfortable from the start. The food was a real highlight. It was prepared with love, visually a pleasure and tasted very tasty. You could tell that people cook with heart here. Special praise goes to the service. The team was consistently friendly, attentive and accommodating. We were well looked after the whole time, without it seeming intrusive. Drinks were brought quickly, questions and requests were fulfilled immediately - we felt completely taken care of. Many thanks to the entire team!

We wanted Thuringian food so we stopped here. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The knuckle was very tasty and the dumplings were great. Unfortunately, the sauerbraten was a bit tough and had to be chewed well. Unfortunately the beans were too soft. The dumplings with mushroom cream were delicious.

Anyone who prefers dry pork loin, good beer, mediocre service and a good location is welcome here. The food in general was mediocre

Staff and ambience is great. Unfortunately I had a really disappointing schnitzel. Tough, dark, no breading in the middle. It was very small. It's a shame, because the rest is true.

We went here spontaneously for dinner yesterday. We love Bavarian beer and the food. We had a really nice and humorous waiter. The atmosphere in this house is really great. It is quaint and yet modern. The food was super tasty. If we are in Erfurt again, we will definitely come back.

Ich war im September 2024 an einem herrlichen Sonntag Nachmittag im Lokal, um mit ein paar Freunden Mittag zu essen und das Wochenende mit ein paar Getränken ausklingen zu lassen. Bestellt hatte ich ein Biergulasch mit Klößen. Das Gulasch war zäh, wie ich es selten gegessen habe, die Soße wässig und alles war lauwarm, lediglich die Klöße waren heiß. Ich komme seit 12 Jahren in dieses Lokal, meistens nur zum Biertrinken. Dieser Sonntag rief mir das wiedermal in Erinnerung. Das Bier schmeckt aber. Der Service ist meist freundlich, wenn auch aufgrund der Größe der Restaurantfläche teilweise dünn besetzt, besonders an sonnigen Tagen. Nice location to bend your helmet. The body carnival starts with €50, so you don't need any food. If the condition were faster, more could be introduced.

Great location to celebrate with several people

This time it was nothing. Long waiting times in unpleasant temperatures. Only outdoor operation and service need a lot of improvement. It's also not a restaurant that relies on regular guests.

Food, service and ambience a straight A! 100 percent recommendation!

The experience was fine, nice atmosphere, thematically of course strongly oriented towards Bavaria. Unfortunately, there were no culinary excellences to be found here during my visit. The sausage salad as a starter was unfortunately very poorly dressed and tasted predominantly of vinegar. The highlight here was the bread, which was very tasty. The sausage was finely sliced, but a bit too firm for my taste (but that's a regional thing, Bavarian is like that) In the main course, the Leberkäse platter for two was a little unfocused on the Leberkäse. The four varieties were tasty, but only half of each was available. Without a starter, the very large amount of salad and the potato salad, which is shown on the menu as a side dish - in contrast to the mixed one - are always filling. Here, too, the salad dressings unfortunately hardly met my taste - the mixed salad had both too much sweetness and also too much acidity, so less would perhaps be more, and the potato salad was also predominantly sour overall. I tried a colleague's Kässpätzle, which was very tasty and nicely spicy. All in all: definitely worth a visit, but the salads aren't necessarily a highlight.

Schweinshaxe bestellt; sah ja lecker aus. Aber: innen drin stellenweise kalt; Stellenweise schmeckte sie wenigstens 8 Tage alt. Das Kraut dazu auch großteils kalt. Nur der Knödel war heiß. Bei der Bedienung dann reklamiert. Sie meinte: Mit der Hax´n hatten wir heute schon mehrere Probleme. Da frage ich mich: warum stellt man das nicht spätestens bei der 2. Reklamation ab?! Es gab als Entschädigung ein Bier auf´s Haus. Aber der Abend war irgendwie trotzdem verdorben.

Der Biergarten liegt wunderschön mit Blick auf die Rückseite der Krämerbrücke an der Gera. Das Bier genau richtig temperiert, die Bedienung fleißig und meine „zweierlei vom Topfen“ für 7.50 € hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The sausage meat was completely miserable for a Thuringian, and the onions were braised far too short. Our waitress probably didn't have the best day either, very unfriendly.

What can I say; I immediately feel at home in an Augustiner brewery, no matter where it is!!! And that's what happened to me in the Augustiner in Erfurt on the Krämerbrücke!!! The historical atmosphere paired with the extremely tasty beer and the great view all add up to absolute bliss!!! The nice ladies and gentlemen from the service rarely make you wait long for the drinks you've been waiting for and overall they do a very good job!!! There is a beautiful beer garden in front of the house, and inside there are comfortable seats on different floors where you can sit for a few hours. The next time I'm in Erfurt, a visit to this brewery is definitely a must!!! 🍺😎

Absolutely great atmosphere and the knuckle was also very tasty. Unfortunately the fries were too crispy. BUT the staff came by themselves and gave 30% off this meal after the plate was cleared with the fries on it. 👍

wir waren am 15.08.24 mit 14 personen angemeldet obwohl die personenzahl auch im vorfeld von der gaststätte bestätigt wurde waren nicht genügend plätze vorhanden ein zusammenrücken der tische war auch nicht möglich wir sollten warten bis was frei wird nach etwa 20 minuten wartezeit haben wir uns entschlossen zu gehen jetzt endlich wurden servickräfte munter undd wollten uns plätze anbieten was wir dann aber abgelehnt haben das hat mit gastlichkeit nichts mehr zu tun wir sind in der nähe in ein anderes lokal gegangen wo sofort genügend plätze geschaffen wurden

We went to this restaurant yesterday to have a drink and a bite to eat. I still don't have the words to describe this fiasco. Service unfriendly, completely stressed and disorganized. Ordering drinks took a very long time. To eat we ordered chanterelle soup and then spicy meat. Unfortunately, both are completely inedible. Soup from a can, or wherever, and the spiced meat is just a lumpy mess. We just tried it and left everything on the plate. The cellar came looked at the plates and said, "Well, they weren't very hungry," we said we didn't like it, his comment was simply, "That's really good home-made home cooking, not everyone would like it." No apology or anything like that. Unbelievable! We come from the catering industry ourselves, and that was, at best, just opening the can ourselves. If you want to eat decently and well and have a nice evening, you should try your luck somewhere else.

When I'm in Erfurt, a visit is a must for me. Very good food, service really good. And the surroundings are very appealing anyway.

The atmosphere outside at the Krämerbrücke is of course nice due to the location. Unfortunately, it took quite a long time to be able to order the food, even though there were still many seats available. The schnitzel cannot keep up with the quality of the 'Schnitzler' on Domplatz.

Absolutely good location on the Gera with a great view of the Krämerbrücke. Very nice and attentive service, the beer was tapped quickly and was able to cool off in the wonderful sunshine. The food was delicious with a good price/performance ratio, top. We are coming back to Gera and to the Augustiner

I only went for a beer, but it was very good and you can sit wonderfully behind the Krämerbrücke and watch the tourists...

Food was awesome, but got scammed with the bill. Went there at the last day of a work trip. The waiter told me the price of 22.50 and I paid with card, she folded the receipt and handed it to me. Not asking nor confirming for a tip. Had to leave in the early morning and I didn't check the receipt, only to find out when I was at home that I got charged around 370 euros in tip. Tried to call the restaurant and send emails (even translated to be more accessible). Got no help from the calls and never an answer to the emails. Tried to ask at the bank to contest the payment but I was there and was my fault for not checking the receipt when it got handed to me so the restaurant didn't approve. Service was nice, food was really good.. but not worth 400 euros.

A very nice beer garden in a great location. The Augustiner beer is really outstanding, especially on tap. 🍺 The prices are fair considering the good location. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I wasn't particularly impressed with the taste of the food I ordered, chanterelles and bread dumplings, but the side salad I ordered was huge (never seen that size before) Highly recommended, especially in summer 👍
