We were there because of the positive reviews. We ordered a special kebab plate, a special kebab yufka, a kebab box, pide with mozzarella, and lahmacun. The kebab is okay, the side dishes and sauce were good. But good kebabs are made with good meat, not frozen factory-made kebabs. Unfortunately, the lahmacun was terrible. You can see from the photos that it had all the greens on it. The kebab box and mozzarella pide are also okay, but the worst part was, we waited an hour. I'm sorry, nobody told us we'd have to wait so long. That's not possible.

We went there for the first time yesterday. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were top-notch with lots of stars, despite the sheer stress. They were super, super friendly. The only downside was the hour-long wait for a kebab. BUT it was incredibly busy. The taste and friendliness made up for everything.

Since my first visit there, I've been eating kebabs regularly again – always the premium kebab, which is absolutely worth its price. Fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, a harmonious overall appearance, and a taste that simply convinces. The best kebab I've ever eaten. We came especially because it's supposed to be the best kebab - never in my life! We waited 45 minutes for the kebab to arrive, and we had to pay at the cash register. I've never seen a kitchen so dirty. If we had seen it earlier, we definitely wouldn't have eaten there. Just once and never again!

I was at ATA today. I haven't had such good yufka in a long time. I can recommend it anytime. I will only eat my yufka at ATA from now on.

The bread at the Iskender Kebab was completely squashed and tasted and had a consistency as if it had been dipped in water. It was inedible! We even mentioned it, and the waiter said it was because of the tomato sauce. Never again will it be so expensive for such quality. Because you couldn't eat the bread, you were still hungry after the visit… a real shame.

I was here today and ordered a vegetarian yufka. While preparing other dishes, I noticed that the tongs used for the meat were sometimes used for the salads and other ingredients. When I asked the employee about it, they denied this and immediately started using it again. I left the store in horror without taking my order with me. I find it unhygienic, and as a vegetarian, I find it unacceptable that tongs are used for the meat and all the other ingredients at the same time. Then the "vegetarian yufka" is no longer a vegetarian dish. It should be labeled accordingly… WHAT A SHAME!

Compared to other "normal" kebab shops in the region, ATA deserves about six stars. In my opinion, the kebab is the best in the region. Even though it's the most expensive, it's definitely worth the money. The atmosphere is more like a restaurant than a kebab shop. The staff is friendly, although unfortunately often stressed. It's almost always busy, especially on weekends. But their success proves them right. So why only four stars? We've been regular customers for a few months now and pick up food from time to time, occasionally from other shops, but mainly from ATA. A few months ago, the kebab was significantly better in my opinion! It was fresher, a bit more substantial. Unfortunately, that has slipped a bit, and with this review, I want to encourage the team to improve again. Because you can do it! 😉 Then you'll get the fifth star!

The best kebab in the region—and rightly so. Not only is the atmosphere very cozy, but the food is also really good, and the kebab meat in particular stands out from all competitors in the region. The prices seem very high at first, but once you see the portion size, you quickly realize that the prices are very fair.

Very, very disappointed, despite the many positive comments, I had to leave this comment. I had a yufka that was filled almost entirely with salad, with very, very, very little meat. The wait was interminable even though there weren't that many people. And to top it all off, the prices are excessive for what you get on your plate. I don't recommend it. Such a shame, since this restaurant used to be good; maybe there's been a change of ownership...

The food is truly a 10/10. The taste is top-notch, the price is a bit higher, but I'm happy to pay €2-3 more for a huge, good-quality portion. The only thing that really bothers me is that if you call in advance and order for pickup, you still have to wait just as long as if you just show up and order on the spot. It's happened to me and others a lot that I call and am told to come by in 20 minutes to pick up, then I'll come, and then they start serving. That's really annoying. It's better to just say straight away, it'll be here in 40 minutes.

Ate here during our recent European road trip. Wasn’t sure what to have so had what the owner recommended. One of the specials and one of the traditional kebabs. Wow. Both were epic! Great atmosphere. There was a constant stream of customers, mostly local people which I find generally means the food is decent. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

Great atmosphere! Small outdoor area on the street. Two rooms with tables inside. Also suitable for groups. The classic doner kebab is okay, but not great. The portion is large, and the selection of ingredients is good. Unfortunately, both the flatbread for the doner kebab and the flatbread for the yufka weren't freshly baked in the pizza oven, but were bought ready-made and only briefly baked in the contact grill or heated on the hot plate. The bread was unfortunately rather soggy. This deducts two stars, considering that the doner kebab costs €8. The service deducts one star, as the waiting times are unfortunately always very long, and even if you pre-order by phone, you have to wait on site until everything is prepared. I hope to be able to raise my rating if they bake the flatbread in-house again. I would be happy, as the doner kebab shop is otherwise a definite recommendation.

Premium Döner: A top-class kebab! Fresh arugula, crunchy pomegranate seeds, Parmesan flakes, and juicy meat – a true highlight both in taste and appearance. The homemade sauce completes the whole experience perfectly. The ambiance is modern and cozy, and you can tell that attention to detail is paid to the preparation here. I ordered a rolled lahmacun, but got an open one – annoying when you're expecting something different. The minced meat on top took some getting used to; it had too much of a paprika flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, it was the worst lahmacun I've ever tasted. One thing that really stood out, though, was that the lahmacun bread itself was excellent – ​​the best I've had so far. What really bothered me, though, was that the place was maybe a quarter full, and yet the two of us had to wait almost 30 minutes for a simple pide and a lahmacun. There were four employees behind the counter, but there was little sign of efficiency. This is the second time we've had to wait an unreasonably long time for our food here – despite the lack of business. The overall experience just doesn't add up for me. I won't be eating here again.

NOT RECOMMENDED! I waited a full 40 minutes for my kebab – even though it was barely busy. Inside, it was pure chaos: No one seemed to have an overview, and it seemed disorganized and hectic. When I finally got the kebab, there was hardly any meat in it – truly disappointing. Given the long wait and the poor quality, I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

As a Turkish woman, I unfortunately discovered today that there isn't a truly good Turkish restaurant in Germany. Inside, it's a cultural mess – the cooking is often done by Arabs (as if our cultures were the same), and techno music plays in the background. I ordered Pirzola – it came burnt and hard, and the plate was overloaded with everything – also a mess. My husband ordered raki and kebab. The raki came without ice or water 🙂. The kebab was okay. You can tell that effort and good intentions went into it – that's obvious. But the result was unfortunately disappointing. Nevertheless, I'm giving it 4.5 stars because I don't want to lower your rating. Please consider my comment as a constructive suggestion. The food should be of better quality.

We drove there today especially for the New Wave from Phillipsburg to try the "best kebab." It just wasn't good; the bread was completely soggy. The salami pizza was also absolutely not recommended; it was completely dried out and hard. Even though it wasn't busy, we had to wait 30 minutes for our food and 10 minutes to even order. The cutlery, which you could get yourself at the counter, was completely greasy and disgusting, as were the plates that were placed under the menu as "decoration." We did get 6 baklava as compensation, but that doesn't make up for such a bad meal for €50... Once and never again...

I came here because of the many good reviews. They try to present that certain something in the food, like parmesan shavings and pomegranate seeds in the kebab. However, the kebab overall is no more than average, like on almost every corner! My wife's Yufka was also bland and completely dry. The prices are also quite high. Unfortunately, I have to go to Karlsruhe or even better to Mannheim for a good kebab. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a single outstanding kebab in the province here... What a shame!

We came here because we were voted the best kebab (Neue Welle) and can only confirm this. Unfortunately the kebab bread was empty, so we opted for Lahmacum Special and Yufka instead. There are huge portions with plenty of meat and fresh, crunchy vegetables or salad. Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is very modern for a snack bar.

First time I came here in this little kebab and frankly incredible we had a pide it was huge and an iskender the plate was filled on board and it was very good to come without hesitation the only problem lack of parking space.

An absolute insider tip in Haueneberstein! I had the pleasure of enjoying a doner kebab at ATA Grill & Kebab – and what can I say? Every bite was a real taste experience. The ingredients were fresh, crunchy and of noticeably high quality. The meat is perfectly seasoned, the bread is crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside - just harmonious all around. I was particularly impressed by the lovingly designed ambience. Modern, inviting and with a lot of attention to detail - you'll be happy to sit here for a while instead of just picking something up. And then the service: friendly, attentive and always with a smile on their faces. Special requests were accommodated without hesitation, which made the experience even more personal. In short: If you are looking for a kebab with character and quality, you will definitely find it at ATA Grill & Kebab. I'll definitely be back - with a big appetite and even greater anticipation!

A VERY NICE AND CLEAN BUSINESS. HERE A LOT OF IMPORTANCE IS ATTACHED TO QUALITY. 6 out of 5 stars!!

Because of several positive recommendations, we got in the car and drove to the ATA in Haueneberstein. The first thing we noticed was that the ATA was like a dovecote that day (Sunday around 5 p.m.). It was a constant coming and going. The shop was incredibly busy, be it with walk-in customers getting a kebab, or people who pre-ordered and picked up their food, or people who had dinner in the restaurant. We still got a seat and our order was taken relatively quickly. We ordered a small starter plate, a kebab, a pide with soft cheese and spinach and a side salad. Plus two glasses of white wine and two cola. The starter came quite quickly and was really tasty. My wife and I were actually so full after the starter that we didn't really need any more food. The rest of the food, i.e. the pide, the kebab and the salad, came at just the right time after the starter. When the pide was on the table, my wife and I just shook our heads because it could only be described as "huge". The portion of the kebab was also very good. Unfortunately, the taste of the main course couldn't quite keep up with the starter. There was far too much cheese on the pide for our taste. The pide was so full of cheese that after 3 pieces we couldn't eat another piece. Unfortunately, the kebab didn't quite meet my taste either. It was very dry and the meat was very crispy in many places, partly a bit burnt. I also found the minced meat content of the kebab too high. Since the ATA sells original kebab and not a rotisserie, I assume that the ratio of minced meat and layered meat meets the legal requirements. However, in terms of meat taste, my kebab from ATA couldn't compete with a kebab like the one at Kebabi in Karlsruhe. Visually, the rotisserie spit also looked very minced meat-heavy. But I certainly don't want to present myself as a kebab specialist or even as a meat inspector, because I'm certainly not that. The side salad was great again. In total we paid 64 euros for everything and had to pack most of it up and take it home. We will definitely visit the ATA a second time... also because we would like to try the grilled skewers in the restaurant cellar. All in all, a slightly higher-priced Turkish restaurant with nice staff, which may not necessarily be worth the extra price, but you can still eat well. And the success proves the restaurant operator right...that's how it's always been.

I had a mixed grill, but it really wasn't good. The meat was far too dry and not well seasoned. The bulgur rice had a strange smell. I'd never had a plate like that before, and I spent €30 on it. I swear to you it was the worst grilled dish I have ever eaten in my life. There is a very bad smell of meat coming from the kitchen, the ventilation is very bad inside, there is no distance between the tables, it is as if you are eating at the same table with the people at the next table. I think the prices are too high for this price. Some items on the menu were said to be unavailable. Raw meatballs were dry. The only thing that was nice were the appetizers. A few months ago when I was there for the first time everything was as it should be. I'm sorry but today is pure disappointment! Never with you again! We ordered a grill plate for 2 people! We were at the table in front of the grill, first whole meat directly by hand (taken out of the container without gloves)... and at the end.. we said that we would like to take the remaining meat with us, open door in the kitchen.. really complete chaos 😟.. such a lack of respect for customers.. I saw a lady with dark hair take our meat directly from the plate by hand, without gloves and the fries too.. really now? Still works... that's not hygienic and that's a NO GO thing like that

A lot is missing here for a premium kebab. Pocket bread collapsed. Homemade sauce was a mixture of tomato puree and Ayvar. Ingredients were all fresh. Meat was rather lukewarm and ok, nothing more. Bread wasn't anything special either. The service person was a bit unsure with the German language. But otherwise nice.

I thought for a long time whether I should write a review and how many stars I should give, but last Sunday was the last straw for me. Basically you have to say that it is one of the best kebabs in the region. Although the price is higher than usual, it is always very well filled and the hot sauce is delicious. What bothers me about this store is the service. Everyone is super nice, but that's no use if you always have to wait 30 minutes in the evening for a kebab. Last Sunday it was almost 50 minutes from the time I entered the store (you usually wait first to take your order and then again for the food)! And that was no exception but happens regularly in the evenings. If you think you should just order by phone, you're wrong. My experiences are that 1. you don't answer the phone or 2. you are told "wait a moment" and then you are forgotten and you hear the noises the whole time or 3. when the order is accepted, you then forget it on site or is not finished even after 30-40 minutes. I don't know of such long waiting times at any other kebab shop! In general, things behind the counter seem quite hectic and sometimes uncoordinated. In addition, the Yufka dough is always empty at 7 p.m. in the evening. The fact that last Sunday the knife on the cutting machine was apparently blunt and a colleague got a bench grinder from behind and tried to sharpen the knife NEXT to the kebab skewer in the kitchen is also not particularly hygienic. As a trained industrial mechanic, I know and with common sense you should be aware that 1. fine metal particles are thrown through the air and 2. there is also powder-like metal abrasion on the knife blade which should be wiped off AT LEAST once. I wouldn't want something like that in my flesh - certainly not people with an iron deficiency. All of these experiences spoil the delicious kebab there. You should probably avoid going to this shop in the evening and only get something to eat there at lunchtime in the hope that it will be better.

The restaurant offers an interesting concept with a kebab area at the front and an elegant restaurant area with an open grill at the back. We ordered a variety of dishes including lentil soup, chicken skewer, lamb skewer, Adana skewer, lamb chop and İskender kebap, as well as an appetizer. While the food was good overall, I found that the plate had too much bulgur and kebab salad in relation to the amount of meat, which didn't quite fit the ambience of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the chops and the kuzu Şiş were a bit overcooked. In terms of price, the restaurant is on a higher level. A nice touch was the free baklava offered to us by the owner. Overall, it's a nice place with an interesting concept that still has room for improvement in some details. I hope to visit it again soon

I've been there three times now. The first two times were really good, but this time, today, I was a little disappointed. The first pide was burnt and they gave it to me like that. The second pide is great, but less meat :/ Why not reuse the old meat from the old pide (10min old)? 🥹 He also charged me a euro more than it cost, but I didn't even notice that when I paid by card (because I trusted him). All in all pretty good, but the guy really had a bad day.
