The food was very good. I had schnitzel with letcho, which was very good and more than enough...I couldn't finish it...

You immerse yourself in another world but everything has its charm. The food is super tasty, despite there being two regulars' tables, we were well looked after and served. The prices are great and we want to come more often.

We had no idea such an unkempt restaurant existed, with extremely presumptuous and rude service. We left after one drink; it was impossible for us to eat there. In the next room, where the door to the main room was open, there was heavy smoking and alcohol flowing freely. It was awful!

We wanted German cuisine without spending a lot of money. We did a quick Google search and then went to the Astoria. Our first impression was, let's say, difficult. When we held the menu in our hands, we were skeptical about how the prices would work when we only expect a little bit of quality. We ordered schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes, and schnitzel with fries and two fried eggs. I had chosen solyanka for starters. While we waited for our food, we philosophized again about the quality and price of the food... and about the dining room. The fact that we had to wait a good 40 minutes for our food gave us a good feeling. And then... yuck... our two plates arrived. I've rarely seen something like that. Two large schnitzels, a pound of side dish, and plenty of mushrooms. Oh dear, I wonder how that will taste for that price. Fingers crossed and try it. Phew, we were lucky. The taste was great, but we basically got two portions each for the price of one. So I was quite glad that my starter was forgotten. I probably would have had a whole terrine all to myself. In the end, we paid €33.20 for three drinks and the two giant portions and even had a very friendly chat with the staff member. Honestly, for this quality and the price of the food, it would be hard to get a seat. If you're looking for a fancy glass of wine or a cocktail...this is the wrong place.

I ordered two meals there by phone. When I entered, I was shocked. It looked like a pigsty. Everything was filled with smoke from all the smokers, and there was filth everywhere. Unbelievable. I told the lady that I had ordered two meals and wanted to pick them up. She then asked, "How come now?" It was scheduled for 7 p.m., and I arrived five minutes early. I kept thinking, "How is the food prepared?" "Is hygiene being maintained?" "Not likely in such a mess." The lady told me to sit in the smoking area. I just thought, "Which smoking area? I'm already standing right in the middle of it." I told her I wasn't a smoker, and she just said she didn't care. I then left the premises immediately. God, I was so glad to be back outside.

We wanted to have dinner here, but unfortunately we were told very rudely at the entrance that we couldn't eat here because there was a company there and they didn't have time for us. But it wasn't visible from the outside and wasn't very customer friendly.

Great for drinking beer. From the barrel and inexpensive too. Food great too. A bit untidy and has an older interior. It doesn't bother me but I always like to go there again, especially because of the friendly service

A real German "pub" - in the pleasant sense. Here there is a knock on the table to say hello; there is the smell of simple but hearty dishes, which the menu confirms and also tempts with moderate prices. Here people still know that Christmas lasts until Candlemas and they also appreciate a well-kept Skat. The pleasantly resolute landlady shapes the homely character. You can “stop” here. I'd love to come back.

A little trip back in time, but I think it's cool. Food was tasty and plentiful, price/performance was top. A recommendation from me for one of the next restaurant visits Many thanks to the Astoria team

Family atmosphere, loving furnishings and in-depth conversations with the landlady/waitress about society and the past. Gladly again!

I haven't eaten there yet but I've heard it's tasty there. On Sunday a nice star spring for 1 euro on the street is a great service in any case.

Fantastisches Essen zu späterer Stunde. Gulasch mit böhmischen Knödeln war ganz hervorragend. Tiefstpreisgarantie. Sehr freundliche und engagierte Bewirtung. Unkonventionelle Ausstattung. Gemütlich und ein echter Geheimtipp.

Einfach, lecker und interessant. Preiswert und großzügig Portionen Wir kommen gern wieder.

Ein teils ungepflegtes Restaurant. Die Bedienung geht dich an sobald du zu ihr vorkommst und sie etwas fragen willst, kann aber auch sehr nett sein. Ein wenig zu unverschähmt. Das Lokal ist sehr durcheinander. Man wird vom Personal angegangen und Wünsche werden teils nicht akzeptiert, was teils verständlich ist. Essen Top!

Was soll ich sagen...einfach meine Lieblingskneipe in Plauen. 😉 Die Speisen sind günstig und sehr lecker (gerade die Bratkartoffeln sind ein Traum) Das Ambiente ist recht rustikal und etwas speziell, aber das macht das ASTORIA einfach immer wieder aus.

Leckeres hausgemachtes Essen, da warten wir gerne die Zeit aufs Essen.. Hier kocht der Wirt noch selbst und die Wirtin bedient und umsorgt mit Freundlichkeit und Charme die Gäste.. Atmosphäre Ostalgie und genau das macht es aus... Nicht wie so oft in der heutigen Zeit... Wo viele erwarten das ein Essen in fünf Minuten auf dem Tisch zu stehen hat.. Und dann denken es ist frisch gekocht... Wir kommen gerne wieder... Speziell die Ringelsocke hat uns gut unterhalten... Liebe Grüsse und hoffentlich bis bald...

Habe leckeres und reichliches Mittagsessen geholt, und obwohl durch halb Plauen gefahren, zu hause noch heiß. Freue mich wieder auf Geflügelleber mit Bratkartoffeln. Update 30.12.20 Heute Rouladen mit Klösen und Rotkraut bestellt, mal wieder ein sehr leckeres und ausreichendes Menü. Sehr zu empfehlen. Preis/Leistung Perfekt.

Das Essen war absolut köstlich und die Lokalität Sehenswert
