Excellent service! The Ethiopian beer (Habesha Gold) was delicious. And the food was a true explosion of flavor on the tongue, with finely balanced spices and a wonderful spiciness. We'll definitely stop here again on our next visit to Halle 👌

The food was served quickly, was fresh, varied, and nicely presented. Unfortunately, the Eritrean cuisine wasn't to my taste...and I would have preferred some local drinks. The outdoor area is beautifully landscaped and inviting to sit.

Very delicious, authentic Eritrean cuisine. Each dish has its own unique, always surprising flavor. The mixed platters are great, and the Saturday evening buffet is also highly recommended.

In preparation for a larger celebration, we wanted to test the restaurant today. We had booked a table for 2 people for 2 p.m. and were there shortly beforehand. We waited until 2:15 p.m., but the store didn't open without any explanation. It's a shame - no matter how good the food is, you can't plan with this restaurant if it offers so little reliability. We ended up back in a restaurant with German cuisine.

Very tasty dishes, healthy food, you just have to like the sourdough with it. In any case, if you don't know it yet, give it a try. Of course you eat with your hands (but you can also order cutlery). Price - performance 👌 Very nice reception and you are served quickly and politely. The atmosphere is rustic and has something from everyone (German, African).

Very courteous and friendly staff, there is a pleasant and cozy atmosphere. It is advisable to reserve in advance as the restaurant is not large but is busy. The food didn't take long to arrive. In terms of taste, it was truly a journey to another country. Special spices and the way of eating with your hands made the evening an unforgettable excursion. Thanks for the great time!

Something new 😯 it’s delicious!

At first glance it doesn't look particularly modern but the first glance is deceptive. It is very, very quaint and the food is amazing, very tasty dishes and the staff is very tidy and nice. Greetings to the kitchen for the great food and service.

The food is Eritrean, eaten with your fingers, very tasty and well seasoned. It was a pleasure for me. The landlord was friendly and asked questions. The ambience was just an old pub that hadn't changed much. I don't think it's a bad thing that nothing has changed. Almost only locals from whose countries this food and culture comes from were present. There are some colorful pictures on the walls that I liked. Anyone who is open to new and different things will also feel comfortable there. Just try it, the food is worth it.

In Asmara there is very tasty food that many people probably haven't gotten to know before. The offer is interesting and plentiful; for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The service is very nice, the portions are big enough and the prices are totally reasonable. To go with the Eritrean food, there is also Eritrean beer and if you like, you can also round it off with a lightly spiced coffee. We were there for the second time, once in a larger group and now as a group of four and were completely satisfied both times. The colorful interior mix of an old rustic German pub and Ethiopian/Eritrean decorative elements is funny, stays in the memory and, in my opinion, enriches the overall experience. A recommended address for a culinary trip to Africa!

A German kneipe converted to an Eritrean African cuisine restaurant, we celebrated a friend's birthday here and I was pleasantly surprised as the Ethiopian restaurant I tried not so long ago did not impress. I'm so happy to say this was not the case here. We went on a Wednesday afternoon because its a day they serve meat dishes too and they were most kind to seat a big table. So delicious, I will be back!

Super leckeres Essen und riesige Portionen

Das Essen war excellent! 👌 Die Bedienung war sehr nett, aufmerksam und schnell! Der Besitzer ist hilfsbereit und super nett! Wir möchten noch mehr Gerichten vom Restaurant probieren!

ein lustigster eritreisch-äthiopischer restaurant-mix: inneneinrichtung komplett von vorheriger deutschen kneipe übernommen, hier und da eritreische sachen dazwischen gehängt. essen war gut (hatte die mixplatte für 1), aber nicht das allerbeste: injera ziemlich dick, doro nicht vorrätig. aber supernette bedienung und kartenspielende eritreer. wer das essen mag oder probieren möchte, ist hier insgesamt gut aufgehoben.

Lasst Euch vom „Zum Salzwirker“-Charme nicht abschrecken. Sehr netter Service, leckeres Essen und definitiv mal was Anderes. Auch für den fleischlosen Genus sehr viel Auswahl. Sollte man unbedingt Fleisch wollen bietet sich der Mittwoch an 👌🏻

Essen ist ausgefallen und schmackhaft. Atmosphäre im Inneren des Gastraumes kann noch verbessert werden. Der Freisitz muss noch mehr Aufwertung erfahren.

Eine ganz neue Erfahrung! Wir fanden es sehr lecker, toll gewürzt und mal was anderes, komplett mit den Fingern zu essen. Das Ambiente lies und schmunzeln…. Alte deutsche Kneipe mit afrikanischen Bildern gepimpt 😁 Wir kommen gern wieder!

Wer mal afrikanische Esskultur kennenlernen möchte sollte mal das 'Asmara' besuchen. Essen schmeckt zu moderaten Preisen.

Super Essen. Sehr netter Chef. Gewöhnungsbedürftige Einrichtung, aber dennoch absolute Empfehlung!

Dort essen zu gehen ist durchaus eine angenehme Erfahrung. Für mich war eritreisch Essen Neuland und ich war positiv überrascht. Das Essen sättigt sehr gut und die Gewürze geben einen einzigartigen Charakter. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier auf jeden Fall. Der Gastronom macht einen guten Job und behält auch freitagabends den Überblick. Einziges Manko für mich war die Anfang 90er Jahre Einrichtung a la rustikales Trinkerstüble. Ein bisschen mehr kulturelle Selbstdarstellung würde dem Restaurant bestimmt gut tun.

Leckeres Essen und super Bedienung

Man kombiniere das Ambiente einer urdeutschen Kneipe mit dem Spirit samt Küche aus Eritrea und raus kommt Asmara. Boah, ich hatte ja keine Ahnung, dass auch unsere Esskultur sich in Deutschland verändern lässt. Ich muss zum Fisch unbedingt wieder hin. Das ist wirklich schmackhaft und sehr zu empfehlen.

Geschmacklich sehr gut, weil die traditionellen Speisen ( Inschera, Tipps und Alitscha) gut mit Berberie gewürzt sind.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, freundliche Bedienung, schöne Inneneinrichtung, super Preise. Darüber hinaus im Raucherraum die Möglichkeit Handbillard zu spielen.

Wir haben dort sehr lecker gespeist - die Portionen waren wirklich groß und der Preis dafür absolut angemessen. Die Einrichtung ist wirklich sehr interessant! Es gibt noch einen separaten Raucherbereich, der ebenfalls zum verweilen einlädt - das dazu passende Fassbier gibt es auch für einen sehr schmalen Taler.

Wir waren spontan nach dem Sport hier essen. Wirklich lecker und auch eine gute Portion :) Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen definitiv wieder her und werden es weiterempfehlen.

Ich hab vorher noch nie eritreisch gegessen. Sehr lecker, toll gewürzt, mal was anderes! Werde ich auf jeden Fall wiederholen und noch mehr probieren. Das Ambiente im ehemaligen Salzwirker (von dem die Mettbrötchen noch hier im Account herumgeistern) clasht...interessant. Der neue Besitzer ist jedenfalls nett. Klare Empfehlung!!

Leckeres, preiswertes Essen. Eritreisch ist lecker und ganz anders! Ambiente etwas ungewöhnlich - alte deutsche Kneipe mit ein paar eritreischen Dekorationen. Witzig, aber merkwürdig.

Sehr leckeres,für Halle einzigartiges, Essen mit netter Bedienung und etwas lustigem altdeutschem Kneipenambiente. Das tut dem Genuss aber keinen Abbruch. Zudem sehr faire Preise. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.
