The absolute lowest of the low! The worst restaurant I've ever been to. The service was a disaster; everything felt forced. I was there with a small child, with whom I shared my meal since he doesn't eat much. Later, my husband joined us and ate the leftovers I'd left on my plate, as well as the drink I'd left over because I hadn't liked the dish and we don't throw anything away as a family. When it was time to pay the bill, the waitress said they only accepted cash—which was quite odd, since everyone pays by card these days. We gathered the cash anyway and paid. The incredibly rude waitress then told us that next time we could only come back if we ordered one dish and one drink for all three of us. My husband responded diplomatically, but then the waitress started yelling. The behavior was appalling, the rudeness unparalleled. As soon as I walked in, she immediately told me that my handbag wasn't allowed on the windowsill. All in all, a terrible experience – we will NEVER come back!!!!

The rice served with the main course at the restaurant was cold, and our subsequent complaint involved heated and loud arguments to obtain new, hot rice. Later, we noticed that the oil was separating from the sauce. This suggests that cheap, undercooked oil was used. That was the last straw. We left the food, paid, and left. NEVER AGAIN IN SUCH AN UNFRIENDLY PLACE!!!!

I've ordered takeaway several times already. The food is freshly prepared and ready for pickup in a reasonable amount of time. Consistently delicious. I'll definitely order again.

You call and say I'll pick it up at 6pm, arrive at 6:10pm, wait 5 minutes and then they say what they want and only then take the order, the woman is extremely disrespectful, junk shop, you're just lucky that they're the only ones in town

The big plus of this restaurant is its waterfront location. Everything else is standard Chinese fare. The staff is friendly.

Hope you read the reviews before you go. Unfortunately, we didn't. The service is very unfriendly. Rude, not child-friendly, and they give strange looks to normal questions like, "Could we please have two extra plates?" for the children. You can't be that unpleasant. If you run a restaurant, you should be friendly to your customers. Unfortunately, that's not a priority here. Once, but not again. Next to us sat a family with a little boy who accidentally spilled his drink. We saw it, but she had to clean everything up herself. She barely got any help. The waitress was furious. We were told point blank that we wouldn't get a table just because we had a baby with us. Yes, you read that right! Families with small children are not welcome here. This behavior is not only outrageous but simply inhumane. Other guests in the restaurant noticed this and were just as shocked and outraged as we were. A restaurant that rejects families has absolutely no place in a civilized society. Instead of hospitality, there is coldness, discrimination, and arrogance. If you want to spend your money on good food in Backnang, you'd be better off doing it somewhere else than this restaurant. Conclusion: Asia Tung = zero respect, zero heart, zero hospitality. Never again

Unfriendly like I have never experienced anywhere before.. very arrogant and the food tastes like 99% of all other Asians.. nothing special… but this woman is so unfriendly that I will never come back

I ate there and it was incredibly delicious 😋. I received quick and friendly service. The food arrived quickly, and the plate looked very appealing. I will definitely eat here again.

The two of us had a quick lunch at the restaurant. My companion had no appetite, but that didn't raise any questions when ordering! After I'd eaten and paid (with a few euros' tip), the lady suddenly became very rude and pointed out to me very seriously and loudly that this wasn't acceptable, and if everyone had to eat... Of course, we definitely won't be coming back like this! As a customer, I certainly don't have to put up with such hassle...

We were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were disappointed – in a way we as a family have never experienced before. Our son (18 months old) was a bit more lively during dinner and – as toddlers do – reacted a bit loudly. We were then clearly asked to leave. It wasn't aggressive behavior, not an uncontrollable outburst – simply a small child who isn't yet able to express his feelings quietly. It's understandable that children aren't welcome in every situation – but this should be clearly communicated, rather than unpleasantly asking families to leave the door. What was particularly irritating was that as we left, we were even told to leave our child at home next time. Such statements unfortunately leave little room for understanding or openness towards young families. A real shame – not only for us, but also for the atmosphere and hospitality that one would actually want in a restaurant. We're certain: We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Wow. I'm actually speechless, but I'd like to describe my experience in detail, perhaps someone will learn from it. But as can be read in many reviews, the rude and insolent behavior of the service is beyond compare. I ate there with my daughter today at 5:30 p.m. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive. The table next to me also commented on the long wait and complained that the tables inside that arrived later had received their food first. I was also able to observe very clearly how take-out orders were served directly on site (not by phone) and then the restaurant guests. My daughter shouted "hungry" twice and "no" twice. None of the three other tables on the balcony seemed bothered by this. With such long waits, many must have thought the same thing :) We then got up and watched the takeaway service at the front (where orders were placed on site and cooked immediately). You have to pass the time somehow. We didn't get in anyone's way, and we weren't loud either. The waitress also cooked there instead of being with the guests, which is why many didn't get drinks or had to come up to pay (visibly in a bad mood and probably understaffed. I wouldn't have written a negative review then. But...) But the most outrageous act was when I had finished eating (my daughter was still eating), the waitress slapped two damp paper towels on the table and told me to clean the table and floor myself. Wow. My daughter actually dropped about 10 grains of rice, and I would have cleaned them up without being asked (I should have taken a picture. There were more cobwebs and leaves/dirt on the floor than my daughter's rice grains, and the table was only cleaner after I cleaned it). Then the next outrage occurred when I was paying. The waitress said I was welcome to come with my husband or order takeout, but not with my child. Wow. Maybe put a sign at the entrance saying "no children allowed" next to the "cash only" and "dogs must stay outside"?! I was really happy with how my daughter endured the long wait. If she had actually been too loud, I would have reordered the food for takeout, but everything was great so far. Only the waitress seems to think children don't belong in a restaurant. Wow. Never again!

Apart from the fact that their drinks are way too expensive, the waitress told me that they were only open for half an hour and that I wasn't allowed to order a drink without eating and basically threw me out...a really unnecessary move. Just shameful. It's not the first time they've been so rude and unfriendly.

The ambiance alone is a bit less than inviting; the floor was quite sticky. The appetizer was okay, not a highlight but perfectly fine for lunch. The main course (fried noodles with breaded chicken breast), on the other hand, wasn't particularly good. The chicken was quite dry, and the noodles were yellow, but the seasoning could have been better. Dead vegetables... Well, in Frank Rosin's words: "culinary boredom" with little love for the kitchen. And I don't really understand why they always have to throw fried onions on the fried noodles... But people still come, the place is well-stocked... Whatever the reason! I'll skip it in the future.

I blew up the toilet and the food was so good

The lady came running as soon as she saw him (while she was on the phone), snatched the bottle out of his hand and said, “You’re not allowed to drink anything here.” Okay, I understand that it is the restaurant's policy not to allow outside food or drinks, but she could have been more polite. It was the last time we were there.

The service is cheeky towards the customers. The staff talks about you and laughs at you. (I have a friend who understood everything!) Cheeky!!

Worst service ever! Waited 55 minutes for soup and noodles. Soup came literally cold, precooked vegetables with cold water added. When I said that it's cold they took it back to the kitchen, bring it back and said "that's all you can have, take it or leave it"! Noodles came after 40 minutes, Noone had apettit anymore after the soup that we didn't touch and the long waiting time. Extra the super rude stuff. 1 star is too much but there is no option for 0

So I haven't been served so badly for a long time. I think this store has never heard of friendliness and hygiene. I have rarely had such unfriendly employees. If you could give 0 stars, I would have the opposite. Unfriendly, unhygienic and the separation of vegan items is not taken into account at all. I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS STORE AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND THIS TO OTHERS TOO. Just a shame and sad. The only good thing about this store is the location as it is very close. The food is ok but nothing special. The lady at the desk is extremely polite and unfriendly. I have a disability and couldn't do the rolling pin that she slammed on the counter for me on my own. When she asked me to close the box, she snapped at me and told me to order something else next time, then there was also a box to close. Another guest then kindly made it for me. The last time we wanted to take something with us we were told we could come back in 2 hours and get the food. For me it was the last visit there

Delicious food, but very unsympathetic employees who criticize and are only nice if you eat more than just soup. You get yelled at if you want more sauce and when my little sister goes there she doesn't even get any sauce because she's younger and can't say anything anyway. I ate there with a friend and I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Because an older man was eating there and the boss came to him and then said that he didn't smell good and that he would change into something else. The man walked out of the restaurant in tears. We always pick up the food for home. It is always freshly prepared and tastes simply delicious. There are also really delicious dishes with tofu for vegetarians. Unfortunately you can't pay by card, only cash is real.

It wasn't possible to get anything vegan. Neither rice with vegetables, nor fried rice as a side dish (only in conjunction with a main course, which all contain fish sauce). Sad, I'll definitely never come back!

We sat at the table nearby the balcony. *** While we were having food there the Vietnamese staff that wearing glasses rushed to serve the glasses of some beverages to other customers, then she faced an accident by herself at the door and all beverages threw on my boyfriend. *** We were shocked then my boyfriend asked her very nicely to do something for compensation like discount. *** She was shouting at my boyfriend immediately and said to him that not pay for the meal and told us to get out from her restaurant and donot come back to her restaurant again. *** We were shocked again because we did not do anything wrong why the Vietnamese staff were shouting at us in front of a lot of customers and expelled us as we did something wrong. *** why did not they talk nicely to the us because they were wrong and why did they do like we did wrong? *** Before we went out I went to them and tried to talk to them nicely that they should have talked to us politely and wanted the respect apology. But they shout at me back. *** Then both staff were still shouting at me in front of the other customers and I shout at them back And told them that they are in impolite and RUDE! Even I told them that I would call the police they said that they were not afraid of that and told me to call the police. They acted like they were Mafia in the city and did not respect even the German.

The food is delicious, the portions are large. If you like wine, plum wine is very tasty. There is only one type of tea, jasmine, it’s a pity that it’s in bags. The service is fast, the atmosphere is cool, the view from the balcony is of the river. All this cost 40 euros. It was very filling.

I think it's delicious, but the small noodle boxes cost the same as the respective "full-sized" dish on site, despite having less content. Surcharge for a little peanut sauce on top is 3 euros, which I think is pretty steep.

We left again, which is a good thing, because business is obviously going too well and there are alternatives!

Just sitting here and seeing if the food is better than the "functional" service. My children were immediately told to be quiet because they had dared to play a hand-clapping game at the table. The nerd crowd coughed and chattered much louder at the neighboring tables. Not child-friendly according to first impression. No insight was shown when I pointed out to the service staff that my children were NOT loud, unlike the rest. Food rating: solid - but not enough rice, safe, reordering is possible - but it costs money. Great if the restaurant can afford to be unfriendly. The landlord can then demand more money. Ich war hier schon des Öfteren Essen, Asiatischer Imbiss mit Sitz Möglichkeiten im Lokal. oder Bestellen und Abholen, wie man Möchte. Im Lokal könen Wartezeiten endstehen

Unten im EG Abholung und Take away, oben ein paar Sitzplätze mit Restaurant Charakter. Viel Essensgeruch in der Luft, deshalb war wohl die Tür offen. Bei schönem Wetter kann man toll draußen sitzen. Das Essen war hier wirklich sehr sehr lecker 👍👍👍👍 wir wurden zudem sehr freundlich bedient und alles ging sehr fix. Unbedingt empfehlenswert

Ich habe mir gebratene Nudeln mit panierten Hähnchenbruststreifen bestellt. Leider waren die Hänchenbruststreifen nicht knusprig, trocken und alt. Geschmacklich hat es mir nicht gefallen daher nur die zwei Sterne.

Das Essen ist bombastisch und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar! Empfehle Ente mit Curry Soße.

Das Bao SA Ot ist einfach soooo lecker. Auch die vietnamesischen Sommerrollen sind einfach leicht und lecker. Die Soße top. Im Sommer ist einfach angenehm auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und lecker zu speisen.

Zum ersten Mal bestellt und es war einfach unfassbar lecker! Nur noch dort.

Wieder einmal sehr lecker gegessen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut in Ordnung. Der Service sehr nett und freundlich. Es war nicht viel los, daher haben wir nur ein paar Minuten auf das Essen warten müssen. Wenn es voller wird und noch dazu externe Bestellungen dazu kommen, kann es natürlich auch länger dauern, es ist ja nur eine Kraft im Service und 2 in der Küche. Wir kommen öfter und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Gerne wieder.

Wie bei einem typischen eingedeutschten Asiaten. Nicht authenthisch... Ich will authentische thailändische Gerichte essen...das was auch Thailänder für sich kochen. Das Restaurant sieht auch etwas heruntergekommen aus. Also weder das Essen, noch das Ambiente überzeugen. In Thailand sehen die Restaurants zwar nicht top aus, aber die Speisen tun es. Bitte serviert in Zukunft authentische thailändische Speisen...nicht dieses eingedeutschte Zeugs.... Und was hat "Peking-Suppe" beim Thailänder verloren?

Leckeres Essen. Gibt viele verschiedene Speisen und ist auch mal für eine schnelle Mahlzeit zum abholen gut geeignet. Der alte Name hat mir besser gefallen, aber am Essen hat sich nichts geändert. Ist immernoch gut und preiswert.

Waren zufällig in Backnang. Das Essen war prima....frische Zutaten. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Kommen bestimmt wieder.

Das Restaurant Asia Tung befindet sich in den gleichen Räumlichkeiten wie zuvor das Asia Bao Gnoc. Aufgrund von Corona kann man aktuell nur telefonisch bestellen und die Speisen anschließend abholen. Die Karte ist aber immer noch exakt die gleiche - sowohl vom Layout, als auch von den Gerichten. Lediglich die Preise haben etwas angezogen. Die Bestellung hat problemlos funktioniert und nach 20 Minuten hatten wir unser Essen. Die Gerichte haben sich geschmacklich leicht verändert, so etwa die Soße zu den Vietnamesischen Sommerrollen. Die Essen sind immer noch auf einem sehr guten Niveau, allerdings nicht mehr ganz so wie zuvor, als das Restaurant noch Asia Bao Gnoc hieß. Von daher ein Punkt Abzug. Werden aber sicherlich weiterhin noch das eine oder andere Mal dort etwas zu Essen holen.
