Aseleben Strandhotel in Seegebiet Mansfelder Land

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Breakfast is good, but at €8, it's not exactly cheap. The restaurant is good and offers a decent selection of German cuisine. Only occasionally does the chef go a bit too far with the salt and spices.

There's an excellent breakfast in a bright, modern room and very friendly staff. Full marks for that. The room, however, was in need of renovation and had furnishings probably from the 70s/80s. It was also located directly above the smoking area at the hotel entrance. Since we were told it was the last double room when booking, we didn't ask for a different room. Room service wasn't provided daily, and there was no information about this - which was annoying because we had to reuse the towels from the floor. All in all, it was okay for a few days, but definitely too expensive.

Today, our tour group dined in the hotel restaurant. After an hour of waiting, I was served a very substandard meal. I had ordered a cabbage roll. I was served a plate of ready-made sauce with a large quartered potato floating in it. A ready-made roll was draped in the middle. For the price of almost €15.00, that was outrageous.

We celebrated nearby and slept here for 1 night. A nice hotel, soft beds, really quiet and right on the lake. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

We celebrated our birthday there. I have to say, sometimes as a restaurant it might be better to say that you are fully booked instead of planning another celebration. We were accommodated rather unromantically at a bowling alley that probably doesn't see much activity anymore. The radiators urgently needed maintenance as the room was very cold. The ashtray in front of the door, which led to a kind of supplier entrance, was already completely overfilled with butts when we arrived and was only emptied reluctantly when asked. The food was probably what people in our rural area would only dismiss as “good middle class”. It was only by chance that there was a single meatless dish on the menu. Probably with the exception of an appetizer salad or some other soulless iceberg lettuce-based nonsense. Vegetarian dishes are only available with prior notice. You probably buy something the day before that you can then throw in the deep fryer. I can only rate the fried fish with remoulade and fried potatoes. Baked fish: frozen goods, nothing wild Fried potatoes were well done I can't rate the homemade tartar sauce because it was more like potato salad and contained apple pieces. I am highly allergic to apples. I've never had tartar sauce served with apple before, so I didn't ask. At around 10 p.m. we were informed that we should now come to the end. One would have assumed that we weren't planning a longer celebration because there weren't that many people. However, we could stay longer for an additional service fee per hour. All this while the other party in the house was still able to celebrate without any problems after we had already left. The service person did a relatively good job, but with paper and pen she would have saved herself a few trips. Unfortunately, she briefly lost her professionalism at the end when we pointed out that the Worcester sauce on the table had already expired for several months and she wanted to tell us that the bottles would always be washed out and refilled. I hope for the operators that one day someone from the health department who goes out to eat there in their free time doesn't have to listen to this story. Photo attached. Enjoy your meal

The breakfast was also very good and plentiful, the rooms were cleaned properly during the absence. Went to the lake and drank coffee or ate ice cream at the hotel. Nice outdoor space and everything was delicious

We spontaneously decided to get married within a week and got a reservation at the beach hotel. We were very excited. Despite the spontaneity, the Strandhotel Aseleben prepared a beautiful table. It was very child-friendly and the food was delicious! The service was very courteous and friendly. I can only recommend it. Thank you again to the beach hotel for the lovely stay!

Open today on the website is not true! Closed event. Beer garden cannot be served due to lack of staff. The homepage has not been maintained for years. Entries from 2017! Location on the cycle path around the Süßen See. So ideal for taking care of cyclists if you want. Especially since I didn't find anything else around the lake. A pity. Edgar Geyer

Family celebration on August 26th, 2023 - restaurant very well maintained and clean, extensive menu, food tastes good and is plentiful, location is very pleasant anyway because of the lake, the service (slim, fit lady, excellent multilingual, well-groomed appearance) is unusual for German standards quick, very attentive with natural friendliness and responds to the individual needs of the guests. I can recommend this location without reservation. The hefty prices are a downer. In Munich or Vienna you can eat equally well for a few euros cheaper.

One star for the location, the rest...more than modest: Waited over an hour for the food The boiled potatoes for the pike-perch fillet were replaced with rice without asking, the Romanesco was cold Wild boar roast meat is tough and full of tendons Definitely the first and last visit with you!

A very nice hotel. We recommend. The breakfast room is really good... you have a very nice view of the lake.

The rooms were very clean, the location is good, we booked a breakfast buffet. It was completely sufficient and we had nice conversations with the employees. Thank you
