The food was outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented, and simply delicious. The creative sushi rolls were a particular highlight; they not only looked impressive but also tasted fantastic.

Unfortunately, we had to wait quite a while for our food. The sushi platter was visually appealing, especially due to the dry ice effect, but the taste was underwhelming. The udon noodles with salmon were pleasant, but overall too heavily seasoned. The ambiance was okay, but overall, it wasn't a visit I would describe as particularly relaxing or culinarily outstanding.

Exceptional service, delicious food and great atmosphere. Of all the restaurants I've visited in Germany, not a single one beats this restaurant in customer service. I've visited this restaurant thrice so far, and I always left with a smile on my face. The prices are affordable considering the great quality.

The food is delicious and beautifully presented. There's a special vegetarian menu and a nice selection of drinks. Unfortunately, despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes for our table. So we stood around for 20 minutes in a completely overcrowded restaurant with five people in the way. When we finally sat down at our table, we waited a very long time for the drinks and about an hour for the food. What a shame.

I spontaneously spotted it while walking by and decided to try the lunch special. It's incredibly delicious! I love the whole concept!

The smell while walking in was Wonderful. We were able to get a table even while they were really busy. Don't expect a rushed service. They try to take care of their customers, even when things go a bit delayed. We were spoiled for the selection for food. My husband and I enjoyed every bite of that delicious food. You must try the appel lassi drink. It is so refreshing. Can't wait to go back again.

The restaurant combines everything that makes for a pleasant and successful stay—delicious food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. AROMA is very centrally located, so I enjoy stopping by not only during my free time but also during my lunch break. We're pleased that pre-orders for lunch are actually prepared, so we don't have to wait long.

The food is delicious and fresh. The vegetarian options are also great. The only downside: when the place is full, it's extremely loud – and the tables are very close together. They need to do something to reduce the echo in the room. Unfortunately, after my visit on a Saturday evening, I had a terrible headache and a pounding head.

We were there yesterday for my bachelorette party. The food and service were top-notch. The manager is totally enthusiastic and lovely. The sushi is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The breaded sushi is my favorite, especially. It's incredibly rich in umami flavors.

We happened to be nearby with our kids today and discovered AROMA. I have to say: There are quite a few Vietnamese restaurants in Essen – and all the ones I know are a true explosion of flavor. Standing out among them is truly an art! ✨ And that's exactly what AROMA does: The food was not only artfully presented, but also tasted incredibly delicious. This place is close to the Hbf, so it's highly recommended, as it's centrally located and also has an outdoor setting. It also has a wide and varied menu. I've tried sushi and mango chicken, and both my friends and I left with amboa, leaving a good taste in our mouths. The presentation of the dishes is good, as is the flavor. The food is relatively quick, arrives hot, and is definitely a must-try!

This place has become our favorite restaurant. The food is always delicious, and we especially love ordering the sushi with lots of fish. Sometimes we have to wait a little longer due to the large number of customers, but even then, it's worth it—the food is always simply excellent. I ordered pho soup that I eat in all Vietnamese Resuatant over all the world , first time they put green mint i and huge quantity of Black pepper that changed its taste and made it spicy ! Service is horrible too . Also I sit outside and was attacked by bees and flies while eating ! Overall experience is disappointing !

With only an hour before my flixbus arrived at the nearby bus station, this place delivers. Aside form its fast service, the food is great. I ordered rice with red thai curry sauce and the spiciness is just perfect!

The food was very good. However, the waiters were completely overwhelmed. We always had to wait a long time for each course, and it took forever to order. We had to ask three times if we could pay and then finally had to go to the front to pay. On top of that, we were unfortunately brought the wrong dessert. The mochi was very poor value for money (2 mango mochi for €6.90). It's a real shame, because the food is really good.

We regularly visit Aroma Sushi and are impressed every time – that speaks for itself. Not only is the sushi always fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared, but the service is also simply outstanding. A very special thank you goes to a super friendly waiter with Sri Lankan roots, who always welcomes us with a smile and makes the evening even more special with his warm demeanor. Unfortunately, we don't know his name, but he's truly a true asset to the team! You feel welcome, valued, and well looked after every time you visit. For us, this is clearly one of the best sushi restaurants in the city; we'll be back again and again! 🍣❤️ PS: Guests who don't know how to behave, like a family with children unfortunately did today, have no place in this wonderful restaurant. The parents' disrespectful behavior toward the waiter was particularly uncalled for. Despite this unpleasant situation, you reacted professionally, calmly, and with dignity. Great respect for that! The dishes were delicious, but one dish (pho with chicken) had several dead fruit flies in it. When we asked the waitress about it, we were told it was normal since we were sitting outside. It's strange that these flies only appeared in one dish. When we tried to complain about the dish, they didn't do anything to accommodate us. I've never experienced anything so outrageous. NEVER AGAIN. If I lived in Essen, I would take legal action. P.S.: When we arrived, the waitress was cleaning the outside area with a leaf blower, which swirled all the dirt back onto the guests and tables.

An excellent place to eat well. They have a super fun atmosphere and the food was amazing. The Pho was delicious. We were a group of 14, each ordering a different dish, and they were all delicious! The staff was very attentive. Easy to book. Highly recommended.

I've been here several times now and have always been very satisfied :) The food is really delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented, and there's a very large selection (there's also a vegetarian menu). I've tried several dishes and have been impressed every time. I particularly like the chicken in peanut or teriyaki sauce. I also like the sushi (which is served very nicely, by the way). The staff is also very friendly; you're seated immediately and served quickly and courteously, so you feel very comfortable there. I also really like the central location right next to Essen Central Station, which makes the restaurant easy to reach by public transport. Additionally, the food is surprisingly affordable, especially at lunchtime, and the atmosphere in the shop is very inviting. Definitely a recommendation and worth a visit! I'm always happy to come back.

I was attending a concert in Essen and stumbled upon this restaurant based on the reviews. I had red Thai curry with chicken. I have to say, I was absolutely thrilled with the taste. The best Thai curry I've ever had in Germany. The presentation was also absolutely top-notch. And it was a reasonably priced lunch menu at a very attractive price. It couldn't be better. The staff were also extremely friendly and accommodating. Hats off to them!

Here at Aroma, you can really enjoy a good meal. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and tastes truly exceptional. I certainly wasn't expecting that. The ambiance is rather simple. But aside from that, that doesn't necessarily make for good food. Everything looks clean and well-organized. The staff is polite and attentive to their guests. All in all, I can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. Besides, the prices are reasonable for what you get.

Sushi is the best in Essen. But the man who served us was quite rude. First, he argued with us that I had forgotten to give him a number. It's not a problem if you forget an order; we just wanted to point it out and reorder it, very politely. But he immediately went on the defensive, even though we weren't at all interested in finding someone to blame, and he started arguing with us. Then he asked us if we wanted another drink. I thanked him for looking again, not at the moment, and he cheekily said: "I didn't mean her, I meant the young lady" (by which he meant my friend). I was shocked. Afterwards, he came back to me and wanted to explain that my glass was still a third full and my friend's glass was empty. Totally unnecessary. With him, the customer is not king. I'm seriously considering not eating there again, despite how delicious the food is. I don't think you should start an argument and then blame the customer.
