Arjun Indian Lifestyle Restaurant in Rostock

Fast service with a free appetizer.

My cousin and her husband came from Belgium to visit me. They wanted to eat somewhere and chose the Arjun restaurant, which had been recommended to them. Unfortunately, they were treated very badly by a staff member. I don't know the reason, but I suspect it was because of my cousin's headscarf. As a result, they couldn't continue their meal and left without eating. I'm very disappointed because it was their first time visiting me—and now they're going home with a very bad experience and a very bad memory.

I ate Indian food for the first time in years and was thoroughly impressed. The food was beautifully presented, and even for me, a tall person with a big appetite, the portions were very generous for the price. The taste was absolutely fantastic. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.

The restaurant was familiar to us; we'd always had good meals in the past. Today we were disappointed. The wait time for the main course was very long, an hour. Guests who arrived later were served ahead of schedule. The food was relatively bland and, to our annoyance, almost cold. Added to that was the unfriendly service. The bottom line of our evening: we won't be back.

Dish No. 48 is not recommended: instead of the "oriental vegetables," it consisted of carrots, green beans, and peas, presumably frozen. The Vindaloo Chicken dish and the Mango Lassi, on the other hand, were delicious. In general, the dishes could have been a bit warmer and a bit spicier. Overall, I found the prices reasonable 👍🏼

The food was incredibly delicious. We found all four dishes we ordered to be tasty and very flavorful. The prices were also perfectly reasonable. There was a large vegetarian selection. The atmosphere was pleasant and unique. The food arrived quickly. The service was assertive, but not unfriendly.

The portions are large and delicious, but I didn't like the waiter's service. So I can't say that I want to come back again.

We went today at this Restaurant to try some indian food. But the way we were welcomed and treated felt like we are victim of racism. the Lady server here did not treat very well and rudely told that no cards accepted but only cash. And the kid with us was drinking water but then she rudely told that we cannot drink our own water there. We then went to nearby restaurant which is Jyoti, there we were informed that the lady called in jyoti restaurant and told that these guys came and drinking their own water and all shit. Then we had to move out of that place too as they were not willing to serve us the food. Really pathetic to see indians being the victim when trying to eat their own food on foreign land. I request the owner to not treat any guest like this not only Indians.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Indian cuisine, and I must say, it was truly outstanding! From start to finish, the entire experience was a true delight.

Unfortunately, I can't give the food any stars because we had to leave due to the very poor service. I've rarely experienced such unfriendly service – 0 stars. A shame.

Lousy service. Never here again

We ate at Arjun for the first time with a larger group. We were warmly welcomed and taken to the table, where we were immediately given the cards. Unfortunately we had to wait quite a long time afterwards, around 45 minutes for our food. All 2 to 3 groups of people after us were “processed” more quickly, which surprised us and was unpleasant. The service was a bit slow, although that was sorted out with the food. Fresh, tasty and good quality! :) Unfortunately, the smaller groups always had 2 plates of flatbread, while the 6 of us only had one plate. Which was far too little. Ambiance for me personally is very stimulating, but everyone has their own way. Stable grade: 3 v. 5 You can eat well here, but everything else needs improvement.

If I order a vegetarian dish that mentions crunchy vegetables, do I mean thawed frozen vegetables? Just like the next feeding. I'm not a Mäckelfritze but it's not tasty.

If you like Indian food, you're in good hands here, but you should be really hungry, because the starters and main courses, including the sides and many sauces, are not only delicious, but also sumptuous. The price-performance ratio is also quite good.

Nice little Indian restaurant with good value for money. We would be there for Sunday lunch and the shop was slowly filling up. We ordered starters and main courses and everything was really good. Very good quality, tasty and plentiful. Additional sauces and a greeting from the kitchen arrived. It was a happy coincidence that we ended up there and we would love to come back.

I don't want your advertising. Let it be. Nobody goes to restaurants because of a poorly designed flyer in their mailbox. Maybe just rethink your marketing strategy.

This meal is also partly gluten-free. You have to pay attention to it yourself! Very nice waiters, small but nice restaurant.

The service is really bad, I visited the restaurant today, and the young waitress with bob blonde hair was very rude and racist. What is the point of opening an Indian restaurant when you are being racist to Indian people. The staff is so discriminating, I have read other reviews about the staff being racist and rude to us Indians. This is really horrible, how can you treat people that bad when you selling Indian food. And thankgod I didn’t ordered anything after that, because all the reviews say how bad the food actually is, but I will never know as I am never going to visit the restaurant again, and I suggest everyone to boycott this restaurant, because of Racism and discrimination. By the opposite to the place is really good freshly made falafel, do try that instead.

Nice little Indian restaurant. The ambience is great and the service is very friendly. We were there with a group (15 people) and everything was perfect. The selection of dishes is large (vegetarian not quite as varied but ok) and the food is good. Price performance fits.

I am an Indian. "FOOD IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR INDIANS". We went to Arjun and I don't know if the taste of food is made for German people or what but it surely is not the authentic Indian taste at all. Every curry tastes sweet ! But that's not how Indian food tastes. I couldn't feel any spice hitting my tongue at all. German people might like it (I'm not sure though) but as an Indian for sure no one is gonna like the food there. Rotis and naan are good but the issue is with curry and rice items. I suggest you to go through YouTube and make yourself a better food rather than visiting here and getting disappointed.

My favorite Indian restaurant in Rostock! I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. Super delicious food at really fair prices! The mango lassi is a must on any visit. Be sure to reserve a table in advance in the evening otherwise it will be difficult to get a seat!

Unser Essen war zum wiederholten Male einfach „Oberlecker“! Absolute Weiterempfehlung! Ente mit Mango, Hühnchen Curry und Lamm mit Spinat. Selbst die Vorspeisen sind schon total lecker. Immer gerne wieder

We ordered garlic nun. They literally put minced garlic (kinda raw) over a flatbread. Other items such as chicken qorma and chicken biriyani were tasteless and the chicken was rubbery. Not ordering from thrm again!

Wenn man hier einmal Paneer Pakora und Chicken Korma / Butter Chicken gegessen hat, möchte man kein anderes indisches Essen mehr genießen! Der Paneer war der Beste und Fluffigste, den wir je gegessen haben und bei den Hauptspeisen waren die Saucen definitiv 10/10!

Das Restaurant war gut besucht und so mussten wir uns trotz des schönen Wetters mit einem Innenplatz begnügen. Wie sich herausgestellte, viel besser als hier nicht einzukehren. Schnell und überaus freundlich erfolgte der Service. Wir entschieden uns für Lamm Curry und Tikka und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Gerichte waren sehr reichhaltig, lecker und schlossen Papadum und Bhatura mit ein. Das ist kaum noch selbstverständlich. Klare Empfehlung!!

Kleines Restaurant in der KTV, nettes Ambiente, Toiletten sauber. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir bestellen immer Ente Curry und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Geschmacklich sehr gut. Die Speisen wurden hübsch serviert. Wir hatten keine lange Wartezeit.

Wir waren vor einiger Zeit hier zubesuch und wurden freundlich bedient. Wir hatten vorher reserviert und haben einen schönen Platz erhalten. Die Vorspeise kam schnell und wir haben nicht lange auf den Hauptgang gewartet. Das Essen war sehr lecker und voller Aromen und nett angerichtet.

Wir gehen hier einmal im Monat essen. Die Karten und Tische könnten mal wieder etwas abgeschliffen werden, es klebt etwas. Ansonsten schmeckt das Essen jedes Mal wunderbar, das Essen kommt recht schnell an den Tisch und auf Wünsche wird eingegangen.

Sehr nette Bedienung. Das Essen kam frisch und heiß aus der Küche. Das Arjun ist ein authentisches indisches Restaurant, weshalb ich 5/5 Sterne gebe.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und für einen geringen Preis gab es wirklich sehr viel Essen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, wie man es woanders nicht bekommt. Es wird eine Vorspeise serviert und ein sehr großer Haufen Reis, je nach Bestellung. Die Kellner sind recht nett und das Lokal ist sehr hübsch gestaltet.

Tolles Restaurant, wir kommen gerne vorbei. Schöne orientalische Einrichtung und leckeres Essen. Nur die Öffnungszeiten auf Google stimmen leider nicht, denn wir wurden kurz nach 22 Uhr „rausgeschmissen“.

Jag och min fru besökte denna restaurang 20 april 2023. Vår sista kväll i Rostock denna resa. Min fru åt Chicken Tandoori Masala och jag åt Shahi Chicken med ananas. Arjun skall ju vara en bra restaurang och maten var verkligen god. Det som var trist var att jag blev matförgiftad. Tur att vi inte åt samma mat. Fredagen och hemresan blev helt förstörd. Tur att vi hade hytt på färjan hem. Jag är nu tisdag frisk och med denna erfarenhet kommer jag aldrig att äta kyckling på restaurang mer.

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant

Von vorne bis hinten schlechte Qualität. Das Essen hat schlechte Qualität. Es geht dem Restaurant nicht darum gute Lebensmittel zu kaufen sondern hauptsächlich billig zu kaufen. Das merkt man leider am Endprodukt. Die sprachliche Barriere der Mitarbeitenden ist leider so groß, dass leicht Missverständnisse entstehen. Ich werde hier nie wieder essen gehen, da kann ich auch gleich zu McDonald's gehen da ist es genau so ungesund.

Zusammenfassung: Bestellung wurde zwischen den beiden zusammenarbeitenden Restaurants verwechselt. Für uns Kunden war das nicht zu ahnen und nicht erkennbar. Wir haben über die Webseite des Arjun aus der Speisekarte die Gerichte gewählt und dann über die dort angegebene Telefonnummer bestellt. Damit es schneller geht, haben wir die gewünschten Nummern genannt und die Option der Selbstabholung gewählt. Pünktlich kamen wir an. Abholung erfolgte im daneben gelegenen Restaurant Jyoti. Essen stand bereits da - alles unkompliziert. Beim Essen die Enttäuschung: keiner hatte das Essen, das er gewählt hatte. Blöd, wenn das Kind ein scharfes Essen erwischt ... Dann kam uns die Idee, Speisekarte und Telefonnummer des Jyoti anzuschauen. Da wurde klar: gleiche Telefonnummer, unterschiedliche Speisekarte. Da keiner von uns das Essen bekam, dass er sich gewünscht hat, ist klar, dass wir nur enttäuscht und nicht objektiv urteilen können. Die Verpackung okay (ausreichend, nicht zu viel Müll), das Essen war noch gut warm, Menge war ausreichend, unbezahlte Vorspeise dabei wie im Restaurant ( sehr nett!!!!), Geschmack okay. Trotzdem schade um das Geld: ca. 12 € je Gericht.

Lieferservice eine Katastrophe. 45 Minuten zu spät. Sehr unfreundlich. Lieferservice nicht empfehlenswert.
