Argo in Hannover

Low risk of repeat visit We chose this restaurant about two weeks ago because my wife and I wanted to try out a few Greek restaurants in Hanover. A brief summary (pluses and minuses): Pluses: + Very friendly and attentive staff. + Beautiful location by the water in the warmer months when you can sit outside. + Vintage prices that we haven't found anywhere else in Hanover. Minuses: - Meat quality barely a grade of 3. - Very strange-looking tomato rice (dark color, looks spoiled). - Not enough onions. - Strange sauces, taste more like they came from a packet. - Very peculiar aftertaste (all night), indefinable. - Dining room not very inviting, outdated furniture, poorly decorated and bare. We're sorry, but more than a maximum of 3 stars wasn't possible.

The other Greek restaurant was on vacation, so we tried this one. The food is quite good, but there's really little on the plate, really tiny portions! The price/performance ratio isn't good. A 0.4 liter of Coke for €5 is also extremely expensive.

This is our fourth time there. Excellent value for money. The food is delicious and tastes great. The portions look a bit small at first, but that's deceptive. We've been full every time. The ambiance is a bit dated, but that doesn't bother us at all. It's like being in Crete, in a small, old taverna on a side street. It's perfectly fine for us. Lovely terrace overlooking the canal. The friendliness was a bit reserved at first, but it became more and more welcoming with each visit. We'll be back.

Quaint, cozy, delicious food. Highly recommended.

The food was very tasty, though nothing special. The salad was quite simply prepared, and the additional tzatziki was also rather poorly presented. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat on the terrace, so I can't comment on the interior. The terrace is fine. The reasonable price for food and drinks is unbeatable.

The food is super awesome, the baked hot cheese was awesome, the tzatziki was also very tasty. Unfortunately now comes the negative. I just didn't pay enough attention to whether we still had a wish or or or or language understanding was unfortunately also an issue if you didn't understand the question You should also admit it and not react strangely, it's no shame that you don't understand it. Ambiance, it's getting old, it might need an update because the store has really good changes and unfortunately it could be wasted because of it. In conclusion, I would always go there again because the food is simply delicious, the other things that were criticized can be ignored

Were there with friends. The service was overwhelmed. Waited three quarters of an hour for starters. The main thing was as long as possible. In the end we were over the hunger. Will have been our last visit. We'd better go a few meters further.

Das Essen war sehr gut wie immer

Nie wieder es wirkt alles runtergekommen. Das Essen wurde nicht überbacken. Den Käse muste man suchen.Die Soße war fettig und nicht gewürzt.

Hier gehen wir gerne essen. Das ist ein griechisches Restaurant, wie man es sich wünscht, sehr herzliche Menschen und fantastisches Essen. Wir haben auch schonmal für zwei Feiern zuhause essen für ca 15 Leute bestellt. War auch super und die Gäste glücklich.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen.Das Personal außerordentlich freundlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen.Sazu noch ein top Preis/Leistung Verhältnis, da sollten sich doch eine Restaurant ein Beispiel dran nehmen,es geht auch noch zu sehr zivilen Preisen. Top

Kleine Speisekarte, aber sehr sehr lecker und frisch. Chefin super nett. Wenn viel los ist wird schon mal was vergessen 🤷 Die Außenterrasse könnte schöner gestaltet werden - zb Tische wo nicht ewig das Glas ins kippeln kommt oder eine ganze Tischplatte. Bisschen Deko auf den Tischen oder Tischdecken wären toll. Würde Gemütlicher wirken. Nur als Tipp.

Nicht unser Stamm-Grieche aber mal was leckeres, bodenständigens. Vorweg der Geheimtipp: Gefüllte Weinblätter, selbstgemacht von der Mama des Hauses. Hauptgericht knuspriges Giros, zartes Suflaki, leckere Kartoffeln. Familienbetrieb, herzliche Bedienung. Ambiente ein wenig älter aber sauber.

WOW - das war wieder mega lecker. Giros war schön knusprig. Schöner Abend auf der Terrasse. Und die Bedienung einfach super nett und freundlich. Wie kommen gerne wieder

Ich bin rundum begeistert. Schneller und freundlicher Service, schmackhaftes Essen, Fleisch (Souflaki) schön saftig und zart.

Griechisches Restaurant mit Aussenterasse. Nicht überdacht. Traubenranke gibt etwas Ambiente..

Ist ein klassisches griechisches Restaurant, so, wie es früher war und immer noch gut ist. Preise sind auch super, man könnte sagen "klassisch". Sehr empfehlenswert.

Dieses Lokal ist einfach nur überfordert, Getränke Bestellung nach 30 min ca, als wir zusätzlich das Essen bestellen wollten, hieß es, macht der Chef, dieser kam dann aber nicht, sondern nach weiteren 20 min,die gleiche Servicekraft.Das Essen kam dann nach weiteren 25 Min. Das gleiche schon einmal dort erlebt, dachte das war nur so den Tag, aber es war wieder so. Wer Geduld hat kann das Lokal gut besuchen, denn Essen ist gut.

Seit Jahren das erste Mal wieder dort gegessen .Leider ist der gute Eindruck von damals nicht mehr vorhanden . Service genervt und überfordert . Essen eine 3 , Portionen sehr klein auch der Salat Fleisch OK kein Zaziki oder irgendwelche Soucen dabei. Im großen und ganzen der Preis passte nicht zu dem Essen . Schade zumal ich früher dort sehr gerne gegessen habe und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis immer stimmte. Das war dann heute das letzte Mal das ich dort gegessen habe .

Service und Ambiente waren Top, auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis war super. Der einzige kleine Mangel war, dass schon einiges ausverkauft war und auch die Salattheke bis auf Eisbergsalat leer war. Dazu muss man aber auch sagen, dass wir um19:30 Uhr da waren und der Laden um 21:00 Uhr schließt.

Sonnenuntergänge bei Hitze im schattigen Aussenbereich geniessen und dann noch freundlich bedient werden - mit leckeren Speisen

Sehr ruhig, lecker und man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Urlaub. Persönliche Empfehlung Fisch mit Weißweinsauce 😉

Personal ist sehr nett Leider ist das Essen nicht so toll. Gibt bessere Griechische Restaurants.

Wir gehen regelmäßig im Argo essen. Das Essen ist außerordentlich lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Preise sind wirklich fair und der Service sehr aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Im Sommer kann man schön draußen sitzen. Auch für kleinere Feiern toll geeignet, da sie einen weiteren separaten Speisesaal haben.

Alles gut, super lecker und das zu einem guten Preis.

Sehr zu empfehlen, auch noch nach meiner ersten Rezension von vor 5 Jahren. Preiswertes und gutes Essen. Nette Mitarbeiter. Einfach lecker; egal ob zum Mitnehmen oder im Restaurant; Chefin geht auf viele Wünsche ein. Auch für Familienfeiern geeignet.

Das ist noch ein gemütliches, typisch griechisches Restaurant, auch mit einem großen Nebenraum (z.B. für Gruppen). Sehr leckeres Essen, reichhaltige Portionen und sehr günstiger Preis
