Arena Imbiss in Hamburg

After ordering a doner kebab and a soft drink, we wanted to pay for "this offer" for €9.90. The man wanted to charge us the full price. When we told him that the offer was advertised outside, he still refused. We hadn't explicitly stated that we wanted this offer. Apparently, the offer only applies to chicken doner kebabs, but that's not stated on the poster! Very unfriendly to customers!

Very rude staff! The doner kebab was crammed with very little meat and sauce, and the sauce was poorly distributed. There was also too much salad. Not recommended!

The Salli’s at Hamburg Hauptbahnhof is a classic main-station kebab place, and to be honest, I actually really like the branding. The signs and the overall look of the place are quite nice, and it stands out compared to a lot of other spots in a main station. The staff were really friendly, talkative, and very service-minded. That made a big difference. The menu is large, and they offer this Ufo Döner, which I’ve had before in Hamburg at another place. I generally really like this plate-style döner, and it was tasty here as well. That said, I would have liked the bread to be roasted a bit more. Instead of being pressed like a burger, I wish it had been more grilled and crispy. They gave me chili, the seating was nice, and overall the experience was pleasant. Prices are on the higher end, but that’s probably because of the location inside the main station. Because I’ve tried better Ufo Döner elsewhere, I can’t give this a full score. The meat was okay, but there are places in the station with slightly better quality. Food-wise, it’s a 3 out of 5. With the friendly service, convenience, and overall experience, I’ll give it a 4 out of 5. It’s good, but not something to go crazy over.

I ate doner kebab there three times in total, and each time I had stomach aches and felt unwell afterwards. Therefore, I won't be getting food there again, even though it's the only doner kebab shop in the immediate vicinity.
