Meat in the pita has become a disaster, previously very tasty but now only very hard bones

First of all: The taste/portion is still great! The service leaves a lot to be desired. Forgetting to eat again. According to the driver, he forgot to give it. After 15 minutes on hold they said it was on its way. After another 30 minutes of waiting, the salad and the cold pizza rolls arrived 1 hour later than the first meal!!! I probably won't be using the delivery service anymore since I only live a 5 minute drive away! Or find another Greek!!!

Been a long term customer for years. But since the last 3 orders the items have either been mixed up or forgotten. The final step was that the online order was not accepted because the telephone number was supposedly incorrect, which until now had always been correct. Unfortunately I now have to look for a new Greek.

We love coming from Essen because the gyros and many other dishes here taste unique, plus the meat sauce and the dining experience is perfect❤️ Everyone is always friendly and well organized, even when the store is full.

The food is excellent, there's nothing wrong with that. BUT: Pay attention to the drivers! It seems like there is a scam going on here. Check your bill carefully, as drivers often quote a higher price than was actually charged. Invoice will not be handed out. This has now been confirmed to me by other customers. When asked by phone, the contact person was unreasonable - perhaps he was one of them, but the whole thing still seems to be a recurring problem. As I said: The food is excellent and highly recommended - I've been eating there for over 20 years. Unfortunately, there appear to be areas vulnerable to such trickery among drivers and staff. Conclusion: Check the bill, then nothing stands in the way of a great dining experience! The man, short hair with glasses, ~50 years old, rocked €3. Not again colleague! ;)

If you say don't cut when you order, then please don't cut. Pizza tastes good.

I was still happy with the service back then. But calling is not recommended. Delivered to the wrong address and blamed on us. Online is probably a different matter, but from a human perspective it's simply impossible. Waited 3 hours for food to find out that the food wasn't delivered because we gave the wrong address. Then those who answer the telephone should put it in a quiet place where you can understand the customers!

The food was great but unfortunately the service has become increasingly poor over the last few years. The price increase twice every year is still up for grabs, but the guy answering the phone might want to think about a career change. So incredibly rude and cheeky. This is how you scare away customers! Been a customer since childhood, but today this surpasses anything. Been on hold for 60 minutes and been pushed away twice without being able to say anything at all.

I have been a regular customer for many years and am still very satisfied! I can't understand some people complaining about the prices, everything and everywhere has become expensive!! At concerts, people pay €6.00-8.00 for a drink and around €4.00 for fries and it is still always well attended. I can recommend all the dishes here, everything is always very tasty and the quality is top.

You've been a customer there for 20 years and you can literally see how quality...service and customer orientation are going down the drain...ordered something for delivery today...even the long wait on the phone leaves something to be desired...then this Order... everything has to go in a jiffy... the man on the phone is just unfriendly and stressed... Then... after 2 hours of delivery everything got even worse... the food was just cold!!!! Then a quick call there to complain... what happened... they say they said it could take 1.5 hours... Ok...it took 2 hours...but does that have anything to do with the temperature of the food? As soon as you say it...it just says...happy holidays and the phone is put in your face! So for me it was all over with Apostolos! You should take away 3 stars 🌟 from the store minigenz... The days of satisfaction are long gone...for me it is no longer recommended!!!!! Order was incorrect for the FOURTH TIME… Either something is missing, it is cold or the request to leave out ingredients was ignored. The driver was always made aware of this and only replied that I would then have to wait in the queue for 30 minutes... said and done... "Orders must be complained to the driver directly..." aha... ok :-D If you have a food allergy, you shouldn't order here, as the request to leave something out will simply be strictly ignored... When you read the comments from the owners here, I wonder what has happened in the last few months... Where does this unfriendliness come from? Even when you place your order over the phone, you now have the feeling that you are being annoying... the gentleman who has been answering the phone more and more for the past few months is very unfriendly and I have the feeling that he doesn't want me to order at all... If you point out past mistakes, all you get is “ok, let’s pay attention to it today”… No sorry - nothing... I didn't want a new delivery or a refund - just to make sure that the order was correct this time. Can't you see your mistakes and apologize? At least a kind word? About 5 years ago it was simply the best Greek in the area, simply delicious and reliable. But at some point it got worse and worse and was only rarely edible. If you order gyros gratinated, the gyros somehow always taste so chewy and gristly. It used to be so good. Recently we ordered there again for a long time and were even more disappointed. My gyro gratinated wasn't good again. I ate about 1/10 of it and threw 12 euros out the window. But the absolute highlight was that the supplier simply wanted to leave us. We used to be regular customers and then the guy seriously wants to say that we gave him 5 euros too little, even though we knew exactly what we gave him. And then insist so cheekily until he realized that it wasn't...That was it for good! And you (Apostolos) don’t need to say anything about that. Thanks

I've been ordering here for over 10 years. But over the past 1-1.5 years it has been decreasing more and more. But what's going on now is no longer acceptable. I changed because you are hardly different from each other. There is no reason to remain a regular customer anymore. In terms of taste and price.

We always enjoyed eating and ordering there. Unfortunately, over time the food got a little worse - warmed up fries, greasy gyros, bad sauce etc. - but that didn't bother us too much, it can happen sometimes. But this evening, shortly after ordering delivery, we received a call that we couldn't answer immediately. So we tried to call back. Anyone who has ever called there knows that this is very, very difficult. So we thought after 25 minutes we would get in touch again if it was important. Nobody called again from the grill. After 1.5 hours I tried and finally had success after 20 minutes. No, they didn't prepare our food because we couldn't be reached!!! When I pointed out that we weren't quick enough, I was called out, I had finally given the number and they didn't have the time to call after us and they could do that now Preparing food takes time...It was so rude and unfriendly that we won't eat there anymore. Customer-friendly is different... Unfortunately I can't reply to the owner's answer, so I'll write it here: The fact that my words are being twisted here to justify themselves says it all...Again: I was on hold for 25 minutes and yes, then I hung up and I also wrote that we didn't really care about the "worse" food every now and then disturbed. But now, everything together, and then this incredible impudence on the phone and now this brazen answer... What else can you say...

We ordered food for around €65. Waiting time for delivery was ok. Food is really delicious. Unfortunately the service is not. Unfortunately, one French fry wasn't delivered enough, which we only noticed when the driver left. So I called the store (it was still on hold), the staff was very unfriendly. He confirmed that one french fry was under-delivered, but it won't be delivered for another hour. An hour even though we are eating “now”? I asked for immediate delivery. Answer: “You can pick it up yourself.” I pointed out that this was not possible and that I would like to have it delivered as soon as possible. Employee: “Yes, what kind of tips did you give?” What can I say. Customer friendliness is not a priority. And this isn't the first time this has happened. We only order there because it's delicious. But then probably not anymore. Of course the fries didn't come. Legally: Fraud by Apostolos. You can tell that some employees are on a high horse. A pity.

The gyros and especially the meat sauce have been known and very good beyond the borders of Gelsenkirchen for decades. Today we ordered a party platter for 15 people for our aunt. First of all, the food was very tasty as usual but the quantity was a joke. There were only 11 of us and not everyone was full even though we ordered for 15 people!!! There were 17 pieces of cevapcici (i.e. just 1 piece per person and 2 pieces in reserve) and a small handful of gyros with sauce for each person. A small salad, fries and Djuvec rice for the equivalent of €11.60 per person. It was very uncomfortable in front of the guests. We called there and there was no response. Unfortunately we won't be ordering again even though we enjoyed it.

For us the tastiest Greek in Gelsenkirchen. Even 10 years ago when I worked in Bulmke I often ate there. You can eat everything, and especially the pizza - better than almost any pizzeria. But I also love the homemade meat sauce, with the Cevapcici for example, it's a real treat.

The store also has a super cozy atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and you immediately feel welcome. This simply rounds off the experience perfectly. I ordered food on June 2nd, 2024 around 8:30 p.m. This was delivered quite promptly (approx. 30 minutes) later. I don't have to say anything about the food, except great! Only the delivery service left something to be desired. I was supposed to pay €16, gave him a 20 (I usually always give TG voluntarily). He took the money (the 20) and was on his way back downstairs. I asked him that I would still get the rest of the money, and he reluctantly gave it to me. For me it's not about the 4€, I'm about the principle. I didn't say anything about "It's fine" or "the rest is for you", and I think it's outrageous to simply assume that the rest of the money is also TG.

Unfriendly employees, bring the wrong food and don't even see the mistake, food arrives cold, and then they demand that the wrong food be brought there and if they think it's not wrong you have to take the cold food back with you to eat . This is the level of the bottom drawer.

Been ordering food there for 20 years. The quality has decreased significantly. Recently ordered food online. Waiting time approx. 45 minutes according to confirmation. Called again after 90 minutes. After 12 minutes on hold they hung up. Called again and asked where the food was. It is on the way. After a total of 2.5 hours it arrived. It was cold. Driver stressed. When I politely declined because I didn't want to eat cold food, he mumbled something in his local language... then offered to order again. No thanks. You can achieve sales through quality or through quantity with dissatisfied customers. If the rush is too high, you should perhaps stop recording to maintain the quality or you will just lose customers. Otherwise, the meat sauce and cheese sauce were always a highlight. Nevertheless, things have slowed down considerably. Very unfortunate.

Leider hat die Qualität nachgelassen, Souvlaki nicht durchgebraten ,Penne überbacken der Käse viel zu hell. Pita Tasche das Fleisch zäh. Sorry was läuft da schief? Wir bestellen seid Jahren fürs Büro und leider wird es in den letzten Monaten immer schlechter. So kenne ich es eigentlich nicht und da müssen wir uns wohl einen anderen guten Grill suchen. Selbst wenn man anruft und Kritik äußert wird es nicht reflektiert. Schade früher immer Top.

Haben jahrelang als Gruppe bei Apostolos bestellt. Die Qualität hat rapide abgenommen. Zuletzt waren wir sehr unzufrieden. Hähnchenfleisch roh, überbackenes kaum bis gar nicht überbacken. Es scheint dass man einfach schnell die Speisen zubereitet ohne wirklich zeit dafür investieren zu wollen. Sorry, rohes Hähnchenfleisch abzuliefern geht gar nicht. Sind eine Gruppe von mehr als 10 Personen die regelmäßig bestellen und alle sind sich einig, für das Geld kann man auch super woanders bestellen und bekommt Essen was durchgegart ist und nicht roh.

Der mit Abstand beste Laden der Stadt. Von Außen ein sehr unscheinbarer Laden, aber drinnen geht es ordentlich ab. Bestimmt 20 Leute tummeln sich hinter Theke und in der Küche. Bestellungen fliegen von links nach rechts und trotzdem ist es sehr organisiert. Am Wochenende teilweise über eine Stunde Wartezeit, daher empfehle ich Selbstabholung.

Kann ich nur empfehlen. Wir haben gestern Abend mal wieder telefonisch Essen bestellt. Sind sofort durchgekommen, eine freundliche Stimme hat unsere Bestellung aufgenommen u es wurde pünktlich, heiß u komplett geliefert. 2 mal Chef Teller, super lecker u reichlich. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Macht weiter so. Deshalb kann ich diese anderen Negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen!!

Online 60 Minuten vor Abholung bestellt, pünktlich vor Ort gewesen um abzuholen, nach 30 Minuten warten wurde dann 1,5 Stunden nach Bestellung mit dem Zubereiten begonnen. Kein Anruf bekommen. Also 60 Minuten zu Hause gewartet, dann noch mal 45 Minuten vor Ort. Sehr schade. Davor die Bestellung noch schlimmer. Online bestellt. Bestätigungsmail erhalten. Nach 2 Stunden Essen noch nicht da. Angerufen und herausgefunden, dass der Betrieb Urlaub hat.

Ein Gyros so wie ich ihn mag. Alles top. Die Pizza Thunfisch Brötchen sind auch super.
