You can't pay by card! Very annoying, but it's not far to the nearest ATM.

Unfortunately I cannot rate the food or the ambience of this restaurant as my second visit today ended again disappointingly. The first time, I noticed a large sign right on the door: “Card payment not possible.” Today the sign was still there, but since I happened to have cash with me this time, I spontaneously decided to give the restaurant a second chance. The evening seemed well attended, but not overcrowded - that seemed promising at first. But when I asked politely at the counter if I could order something to go, I got a curt answer: “Yes, if you want to wait an hour.” Without any further explanation and with a quick “bye,” I was literally turned away. To be honest, I was shocked by this unfriendly manner. I expect a welcoming atmosphere and warmth, especially from a Greek restaurant. I was hoping to perhaps find a new regular here that I could visit with friends - but after this second, disappointing experience, I probably won't be coming back.

At Apollon you can clearly see how a previously great restaurant is being driven to the wall by staff and noticeably worse quality. One thing in advance: Not a single guest ever left the restaurant as a result of our visit. The message written by Apollon that the staff no longer wanted to serve us was also a lie. What is true, however, is that the waiter that evening was insulting, completely overwhelmed and helpless. I have rarely experienced such bitchy behavior from a “waiter”. Absolutely useless for gastronomy and a complete misplacement in a good restaurant. And the food? A year ago it was appetizingly prepared, very tasty and of good quality, but today it is a real disappointment - I'm talking about the grill plates we ordered! The meat is pale, bland and streaked with gristle and fat. The fries were barely cooked, neither crispy nor browned. We don't even need to start with "salad": a collection of leaves and totally tasteless. But that's what I call a total relegation - in 2023 we will still be at the top of the Bundesliga and then relegated to the district class. I thought for a long time whether I should write this review, because the Apollon will definitely counter it with an Asi level and will also be guaranteed to place countless 5-star reviews. This already happened when we were insulted by the staff on this platform. Oh yes, card payment is not possible - these days it is only offered in certain establishments. At least we got proof of the fiasco. Evil is the person who thinks of bad things.

Attention: Danger of expulsion if you give honest criticism and questions!!!! Incredibly rude, unprofessional and insulting!!!! Never again !!!! Intoxication after criticism was the highlight of the evening. Stay away from this place. The surcharge of 10 euros for a change in the menu (Metaxa to Bifteki) was unacceptable to me and the waiter was unable to provide a factual explanation. When I asked again for an explanation, I was annoyed and said that I had to accept it or leave it alone. And if I haven't experienced this surcharge in any restaurant in Munich, Berlin or Hamburg, then I'm experiencing it here at Apollon, said the waiter. According to my friends, my friends' food wasn't really hot and didn't taste the same as usual - it was my first time in this place. . . After criticism, insults from the waiter and our intoxication follow. Attempted rip-offs and a lack of criticism on the part of the staff lead to the guest no longer being served and ultimately being thrown out!!!! First experience in my life.

Good traditional Greek restaurant with classic dishes. The service was really very friendly and the price-performance ratio was right. Unfortunately, access to the restaurant is not barrier-free for me as you have to go up the stairs to get into the restaurant.

A classic Greek, albeit with significant changes in the past. The plates are now arranged more clearly. A large outdoor area has been added. The closed smoking area remains. The service is friendly and quick. Likewise the kitchen. In no time the court will be before you. The prices are fair and the food is really tasty and made from good, fresh ingredients. Update 4/15/23: Today I waited with my family for over an hour for the food, despite having a table reservation. Completely unusual! What was going on there? Update 10/2/24: Prices have risen sharply. You can't call it cheap anymore!

The service is nice, the food is delicious/hot, the atmosphere is just really great!!! This is how I imagine going out to eat!!! Update 11/30/22 Today the meat was once again super tender! Dishes between 18-21,- It felt like there wasn't enough on the plate. Carelessly prepared. No tomato, cucumber, olive or pepperoni Tzatziki which was too salty for my taste. No onions on the gyro. Last order at 9:20 p.m., since you arrive at 10 p.m (Saturday) closes Well...

Food was great, would love to come back

We were regular customers here because the Greek food tastes really good. But because we are or were now regular customers, we of course noticed this massive price increase. However, charging €6.00 ​​for 150ml of Metaxa sauce made us decide that we would no longer eat here. Of course you have to increase the prices, but that's out of proportion here! Very very very unfortunate!!!

Grilled pepperoni was delicious. Tzaziki was too runny, I missed the quark portion and the fresh cucumbers.

Why 4.3 is questionable, Gyros Calsmares, small gyros, 4 rings, hardly any tzatziki, no card payment... It's a shame, I'd rather go to Burgdamm, 1000 times better

Me and my family have been guests there from day one! Know the family personally. We always had very good food and were always served in a friendly manner. Service/owner also very child-friendly! Please keep it up for many more years. My father is always “there”

It tasted good but the restaurant is getting old. The dessert menu needs to be reworked.

We've been there several times and it's always been at least OK, but today things went wrong, which can always happen, what matters is how it's solved. One meal was the wrong one, ok, mixed plates always work, no problem. The other food, however, was not edible, even the fries were still partly raw. So that's completely back. Waitress asked, we explained what was wrong with it and it was cleared away. There was no question as to whether you wanted it new or something different, but I didn't care either. The food that was returned was fully charged on the bill. When they pointed out that the food wasn't there and had been returned, the answer was: if you didn't like it, then you don't have to come back. Ok, then like that. No dish was taken off the bill, if that had been the case it would have been ok. And why “last time”? To date, I have never had a meal returned to you or complained. This was the first time today and right now you're just making it worse.

Delicious food, good quality. Highly recommended appetizer plate for 2 people. Parking a little too small on a busy day and I think on average a little more expensive than the other Greeks in the area. Still recommended.

Good Greek. Great food... but the place looks more like an old German country house. But that makes up for the food. Would love to come back.

We ate there on a Saturday and, as always, it was delicious. The service is very attentive and friendly. A special dish was prepared for my four-year-old daughter because she wanted to eat pasta, but without meat. We got a place in a small alcove because our little son was with us and it was a little quieter there. We really enjoy eating there, but we also bring food home from time to time. It's always delicious, special requests are fulfilled and everyone is very nice and helpful.

Das beste griechische Restaurant in der Umgebung! Das Souvlaki war immer zart und saftig. Die Wahl zwischen dem Tomatenreis und den Pommes fällt schwer, weil einfach beides schmeckt. Den Zaziki gibt es selbstverständlich zum Gericht dazu und muss nicht extra dazu bestellt werden. Der Vorspeisensalat besteht aus Krautsalat, Eisbergsalat und bisschen Rotkraut mit sehr leckerem Dressig.

War super und dass Essen war lecker mir und meinem Mann und Tochter hat sehr gut gefallen wir werden wieder kommen. 👍😀

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier und begeistert. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Das haben wir selten so erlebt. Das Essen stand dem in nichts nach. Leckeres krosses Gyros. Souvlaki und Steaks super zart und gut gewürzt. Der große Vorspeisenteller ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben hier sehr köstlich gegessen. Der Service war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und freundlich.

Ich war mit meiner Frau an einem Montag im Restaurant. Das Lokal war sehr gut besucht. Eine Reservierung vor allem am Wochenende ist zu Empfehlen. Das Lokal wurde laut Speisekarte im Jahr 1987 eröffnet. Das Mobiliar stammt wahrscheinlich noch aus der Zeit. Das Essen war sehr gut, so wie man es vom Griechen erwartet. Der Preis bewegt sich im oberen Drittel. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Lokal kann ich empfehlen. Leider ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich. (Warum auch immer)

Also das essen wahr leider nicht gut Gyros zu durchwachsen leider relativ kleine Portionen hätte ich keine Vorspeise gehabt wäre ich nicht satt geworden Vorspeise gegrillte Auberginen wahr ne gebackene mein extra Tzatziki wurde vergessen statt metaxa hatte ich ne Sahne Soße mit Pilze und Zwiebel leider sehr wässrig und Dosen Pilze Fleischspieß leider kalt gewesen und gemischter Salat wahr nur bißchen Kopfsalat mit ein auch von Rotkohl das ist für mich kein gemischter Salat Personal top!!! Super nett und sehr höflich und zu vorkommen aber Dadurch das dass essen nicht gut wahr leider einmal nie wieder

Essen war Ok, jedoch haben wir statt Reis zum Gericht, Pommes bestellt. Am Ende wurde uns das normale Gericht mit zusätzlich Pommes berechnet.

Wir waren , ehr durch Zufall,zum ersten Mal im Apollon essen und zufrieden mit Athos Platte und Lammkoteletts mit Giros. Leider gibt es bei der unten stehenden Bewertung nicht die Möglichkeit GUT anzukreuzen, denn befriedigend ist zu wenig und sehr gut zuviel in der Bewertung: das Essen war GUT. Der Salat vorweg war frisch und nicht nicht wie der übliche Weisskohlsalat aus dem 10 Liter Eimer; Saganaki hätte allerdings von der Hülle / Panade etwas krosser sein können. Schade auch in diesem Restaurant, dass für Pommes (anstatt Reis) ein Aufschlag berechnet wird. Getränkepreis für alkoholfreies Weizen könnte etwas moderater sein. Die Inneneinrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Service einwandfrei, höflich, zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Wir waren zufrieden und würden durchaus wiederkommen.

Nachdem wir hier essen waren mussten sich meine Frau und ich waehrend der Nacht und am folgenden Tag uebergeben,was bei uns normalerweise nicht vorkommt.Andere Ursachen schliesse ich aus.Das Essen schmeckte ok und unauffaellig.Komme nicht mehr wieder.
