It's delicious because it's a steamed Japanese restaurant 😃 All chicken dishes, including Chicken Nambang, are delicious. The people working there are friendly and even if you have a reservation, they let you have a quick bite to eat.

First: If you're looking for good ramen soups, you've come to the wrong place. I don't understand why they called the restaurant that? There is minimal choice of ramen, chicken and veggie in two flavors and no other variations. The soup tasted primarily of water, there were noodles in it, a few bean sprouts and a few crumbs of minced meat, a leaf of seaweed, nothing else. Quite disappointing, I know it completely differently and it fell far short of expectations! The other dishes were ok, but nothing special either. The service was very friendly and extremely fast. The furnishings can be described as functional and unadorned, but cozy is different. Very small room and full of tables, so the air was quite stuffy. Reservation is absolutely necessary, during our visit several guests were turned away...prices at normal Munich levels.

All in all the visit was good. I still think the price is a little above average.

A bit small, but very comfortable. It can get a bit noisy due to the narrow space, but that makes the food easy to eat. It's very tasty and really well priced! Gladly again!

The AOI Ramen looks rather inconspicuous from the outside. The cloakroom is a drying rack by the window, which is why it looks more like a clothing store from the outside if you don't look closely. Inside, the seating is quite tight and the size is clear. The air is pretty stagnant. Due to the size, a reservation in the evening probably makes sense. Regarding the food itself - the restaurant mainly offers chicken or vegetarian options. If you don't feel comfortable with it, you're better off somewhere else. The ramen menu is clear, the menu is created more by choosing the broth (miso, salt broth, etc.) in combination with chicken, minced chicken and vegetarian. The AOI Ramen with Lemon was interesting - not sour, but more of a sweet lemon flavor. The miso broth was okay. The seaweed salad was delicious, as was the vegetarian gyoza. Price-performance ratio is definitely good for Munich. The atmosphere is very simple, the service was extremely friendly and quick. In terms of taste, I've eaten better ramen, but I've also eaten a lot of much worse ramen. I would definitely come back again!

The Ramen used to be better, now it’s just broth, noodles, soy sprouts and some ground (chicken) meat. Anything else comes with a surcharge. Not the way it’s supposed to be.

Karaage is delicious. I recommend it... Ramen is not good. I came here expecting Japanese ramen, but it wasn't as good as I expected. I don't recommend AOI ramen...but the miso ramen is just so-so...miso ramen doesn't even have any chashu on top ㅡㅡ

We couldn't eat here because it was too crowded and the room was extremely loud. In addition, the service was a bit overwhelmed with all the guests.

A small but fine restaurant that specializes in frames. The food is super tasty and also very nicely prepared. You usually don't have to wait long for your food. All in all, a very clear recommendation.

We have eaten here very often and very often with guests. The service is simply fantastic, you feel completely comfortable here the entire time. The ramen is extremely tasty, the starters are super creative and the karaage is really the best in town - especially with homemade tartar sauce. Simply the best Ramen restaurant in Munich by a long shot. The waitress is very friendly and attentive, the ramen noodles are pretty darn tasty too.

Die Ramen-Suppe ist eher durchschnittlich. Der Service ist nett. Völlig in Ordnung für München ist der Preis hier. Ein Pluspunkt ist der Hühnerfleisch für Karaage sehr saftig.

Munich‘s best ramen by far. Don’t let people tell you that Takumi is the best, this right here is the far superior restaurant, hands down.

Lugar pequeno e aconchegante. Aconselhamos fazer uma reserva ou chegar bem cedo. O ramen é bem saboroso e bem feito.

Our favourite go-to place in Munich, home made broths, fresh ingredients. I also like the takoyaki and Kara Age special as appetizer. We have been here at least 30 times and keep coming back :). The only thing that could be improved (if I really have to say something) is that they could offer glutenfree noodles for people with intolerances.

Eines der Top Ramen Restaurants in München. Service und die Wartezeit auf das Essen war trotz der vielen besetzten Tische super. Ich würde jedem empfehlen zu reservieren bevor er Abends hierher essen geht. Die Kellnerin an diesem Tag hat eine unglaublich gute Arbeit geleistet.

Wirklich sehr nette Bedienung und ein schickes Ambiente. Der Ramen war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu fade obwohl ich schon den intensiven hatte. Karaage und Gyoza waren aber wirklich top und sehr lecker.

Eine außergewöhnliche traditionelle Küche mitten in München. Auch wenn die Bestuhlung und das Ambiente einfach gehalten wurde, sind die Gerichte und der Service großartig.

Wir sind regelmäßig da und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Das Essen ist top und der Service ist stets sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Zu wenig Fleisch im Tan Tan, Nudeln sind wahrscheinlich ein Fertigprodukt, Brühe hat geschmeckt war jetzt aber nicht der Brüller (obwohl sie die dreifache Intensität im Vergleich zum "normalen" Ramen haben sollte). Für das was geboten wird, ist es einfach zu teuer.

The broth was delicious, however, the noodles seemed instant and there were only two slices of duck - which isn’t enough for a meal.

I was disappointed by the dishes today, maybe because I had different expectations. Tantan men was just okay, soup was very boring, not thick enough for a ramen soup. Takoyaki was bad, first ball tasted like earth, second felt uncooked, then I didn’t continue with the rest. Also didn’t have the fish flakes… Came with good expectations because last time the tan tan men was really good, leaving with some disappointment and might not come again after today.

I'm really puzzled by the high reviews of this place. We got two ramens for takeout. They use instant noodle, very little chicken and the ramen egg was hardboiled through and through. The broth itself tasted like they use ramen broth packets for the broth instead of making it in house. All in all a very forgettable meal.

Nevertheless, they do have some seafood for other dishes, like the fried octopus I had as an appetizer, which was also great ✨ The service was also good, the lady was super nice and tried her best to be as fast as possible, unfortunately, she was the only one serving and, thus, it took longer that it should to take the order, to get the food and to pay. Overall, I had a good experience, would recommend the place. But 👀 reservations are encouraged, I saw many ppl rejected bc they didn't have a table booked.

Wir wurden heute sehr freundlich auf der Terrasse des AOI in Empfang genommen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich, klein und fein gehalten. Hier sollte jeder etwas nach seinem Gecshmack finden. Die Portionen laden dazu ein sich mehrere Vorspeisen zu teilen. Im Anschluss sind die Ramen sehr sättigend. Über Größe und Menge der Einlage kann man sich immer streiten. Wir empfanden unsere Ramen sehr schmackhaft und ausreichend. Mein Tipp ist sich einfach ein oder zwei Vorspeisen zu teilen. Da wir noch nie in Japan waren könnne wir nicht sagen ob diese hier authentisch waren. Uns haben sie auf jedenfall überzeugt wieder zu kommen.

Wahnsinnig gute Ramen, sehr freundliche Bedienung und Sake tasting dazu. Wenn es La-Yu chiliöl gibt weiß man, dass der Laden authentisch ist.

Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Netter Service und wir mussten kaum warten.

Das Aoi ist unter Anderem auch für die Yuzu Ramen bekannt. Die Nudeln an sich haben eine guten Biss und sind authentisch. Die Suppe ist in Ordnung, erinnert tatsächlich etwas Zitrusreiniger. Ist aber vielleicht Geschmackssache. Sicher mal zum Probieren, es gibt jedoch bessere Ramen Lokale in München.

Der Service ist super nett und schnell. Von der Suppe habe ich mir mehr erwartet. Leider finde ich Preis Leistung nicht gerechtfertigt. Ich hatte die Veggi miso rahmen.Die toppings sind sehr simple mit Salat, Sprossen ein paar Bohnen und Mais. Der Geschmack der Suppe hat mich leider nicht überzeugt.

Sehr nett Atmosphäre und nette Bedienung. Auch meine Shoyu Ramen war sehr lecker und eine gute Portion. Auch sind ca. 13 Euro ein angemessener Preis, vor allem verglichen mit der Konkurrenz. Werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Sehr ruhige und nette Atmosphäre mit sehr leckeren Ramen. Ich hatte die Gokuuma Ramen (siehe Bild). Die Suppe war sehr heiß und die Nudeln nicht zu weich und sehr springy. Might be my new favorite Ramen Spot in Munich. :)

Absolutely delicious food and great service, but there was no atmosphere

One of the few restaurants in Munich actually run by Japanese owners. The Ramen themselves unfortunately were instant noodles, the other ingredients seemed fresh, quality good, Kimuchi was fine. Prices are average for the area, though I find 13€ a lot for instant noodle soup. Staff was very friendly, service quick. The interior was in Japanese style.

Total authentisch und schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Das Geschirr war auch total hübsch. Die Gyozas mit Fleisch und vegetarisch waren eine 10/10, göttlich! Außerdem hatten wir zur Vorspeise die Edamame die auch sehr lecker waren und das Kimuchi, war auch lecker. Die Hauptspeisen haben uns auch überzeugt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und das Essen kam unglaublich schnell! Außerdem war alles sehr hygienisch. Alles in allem waren wir von dem Restaurant total überzeugt, würden auf jeden Fall nochmal kommen und es definitiv weiterempfehlen! Grüße von der schwäbischen Alb🫶🏻
