I ate at Antik in Darmstadt yesterday – simply sensational! The pizza, in particular, was an absolute highlight: You can immediately taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. A real insider tip for anyone who appreciates good food. I'll definitely be back!

Since the new owners took over, it's been our absolute favorite restaurant in the Darmstadt area. The food is absolutely delicious, and the portions are even larger! In the summer, it's ideal for sitting outside in the lovely beer garden with plenty of shade. Great service, always friendly, and, above all, very child-friendly! Absolutely top-notch value for money, highly recommended!

We've been coming to the antik lokales for at least 10 years and wanted to try it again after a long break. Unfortunately, we didn't have a great evening. Overall, the beer garden is still nice after the renovations, but the seating isn't as comfortable anymore, partly because they've set up more tables and chairs. Unfortunately, we waited 60 minutes for the pizza. The pizza itself was okay, although the bottom was borderline black and generally quite dense and a bit dry. The service was unfortunately very slow and inattentive. During the entire wait and even afterward, we weren't even asked if we wanted a drink. Last but not least, cutting the pizza was really hard work, so I'd gladly buy new knives :)

For my birthday, I decided to go to this restaurant with my family because I was particularly impressed by the selection of whole-wheat pizzas. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. When we arrived at 6 p.m., we immediately learned that they were out of Parmesan, chicken breast, and whole-wheat crust that day. Instead, we ordered a pinsa for our diabetic friend, which turned out to be a better alternative to regular pizza. While the pizzas and pinsas were well-topped, they were also quite doughy. The service also seemed a bit uncoordinated (the wrong pinsa), and the rhubarb spritzer was sold out before 7 p.m. I used to enjoy visiting this restaurant when the pizzas were still round and the crust thin. But after this experience, I probably won't be coming back for a while.

A definite recommendation for anyone who loves good pizza. And let's be honest—everyone loves a good pizza! We sat in the garden with a large group. Extremely friendly staff! Great drinks! We'll be back. Many thanks to the local team!

The pizza is no longer local-like. The new base is too dry, and the edges look more like bread. Some of the pizzas were burnt, and you could taste the burnt bits. When I asked about the burnt bits, I was told that was normal. The knives are unusable for pizza, so I'd like the old ones back. The cutlery in baskets in the beer garden isn't ideal either. When you take out cutlery, you have to grab the cutting edge or the prongs, and the napkins aren't individual. The cutlery wasn't clean either, even at the neighboring tables. I don't know if the plates have gotten bigger or the pizzas smaller. Unfortunately, we won't be eating pizza there anymore, which is a shame because we often used the street transport.

A truly positive step in the right direction. When I read some comments like "it used to be better" – and then see a 1-star review – I can only shake my head. Honestly: The food at Antik used to be solid, but not something I would have come specifically for the pizza. Now it's completely different: The new pizza is a real eye-catcher – irregularly shaped, which shows that the pizza is made by hand. In terms of taste, it's a whole new level. Not a typical Italian pizza, but rustic, large, generously topped, and simply filling. Perfectly fitting for the character of the restaurant. You can tell that a lot of effort is put into quality here – and not just in the pizza. For me, this is a very harmonious development that shows how the Antik restaurant is forging its own path. I hope it can continue on this path successfully – they deserve it.

I visited Antik Lokales in Eberstadt for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I had the cooked cheese schnitzel with fries – absolutely delicious! The schnitzel was nice and crispy, the cooked cheese on top was creamy and flavorful. The fries were golden brown and crispy, just as they should be. The service was friendly and attentive, and I immediately felt like I was in good hands. The wait was also perfectly acceptable – the food arrived hot and fresh. This is definitely a great value for money. I'd love to come back – next time I'll probably try the hunter's schnitzel, which looked really good at the table next door.

We ended our Sunday evening with a visit and were very satisfied. The beer garden had a great atmosphere and delicious food! It was also a very nice and relaxed atmosphere. We'd be happy to go back!

Favorite place! Simply a special place – the beer garden is like a little secret garden in the middle of the city, quaint and cozy inside with lots of little nooks and crannies. The pizza is amazing, the dough is handmade and super delicious. There are countless beers, plus a small but really good selection of wines and cocktails. The wine list is nothing to be ashamed of! The new menu has some great highlights – the chef's cheese board, the appetizer platter with burrata, and the fresh pasta are highly recommended. The pasta has made a huge leap forward compared to the old days. I'd happily go back again!

"Simply absolutely amazing." I always love going to Antik. The pizza dough they make here has improved significantly compared to the past. They have homemade fried chicken, cooked cheese, great dips, and a delicious new pasta dish, as well as one of the largest selections of beer and wine in the area. Plus, there's no comparable atmosphere in Darmstadt, neither indoors in the winter nor in the new beer garden in the summer. You won't find anywhere else as relaxed as this.

An institution in Darmstadt, always a great experience with its nice, small, cozy beer garden. I particularly like the affordable kids' options, which are more like adult portions. Many restaurants could take a leaf out of their book!

We (a company group of 12 people) visited for the second time on a Saturday evening because we wanted to give the restaurant another chance after our first visit in February. Today it was worse than the first time. I don't even want to comment on our order! According to Google, the antique restaurant is open until 12:00 PM. We were asked to order the last round around 10:35 PM because they were closing then. (The server's statement was, "because the boss wants it that way.") However, we weren't given a time to leave! At 11:15 PM, the server came over, annoyed, and told us we had to leave. We should have been gone by 11:00 PM. Our glasses were still full. We would have ordered more on both our first and second visits if the waiter had been at the table more often. I'm really not picky and have worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years myself, but this is a real NO GO! I won't recommend it to anyone!!!!

I had the Fantasy Fit Pizza – simply amazing! The new dough recipe is a complete success: nice and light, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. With that, a glass of rosé – a perfect combination! Kudos to the kitchen for this successful taste experience. I'll definitely be back!

For decades, Antik Lokales has been our pizza place, even among our friends. But since the change of ownership and the new "pizza dough" (dough is more important than toppings??!), we'll probably refrain from going there. It's a shame, really.

Saturday evening in a great beer garden. Music in the background. All seats taken. Service was fast and friendly. We had schnitzel, pizza, and salad. All very good. The Augustiner on tap was great for me as a beer drinker. Keep it up.💪

Antik Lokales has been in Darmstadt-Eberstadt for a long time. We visited the restaurant several years ago and were disappointed with the food. Now, after the renovation and new kitchen, we decided to try it again. First, the positives: the staff are exceptionally polite and attentive. The food: There was food for four people, and what can I say? There's definitely room for improvement. Let's start with the cutlery. The knives had a hard time cutting through the crispy pizza, and not just at our table. Now for the food in detail: Starter plate: Good selection of ingredients, very tasty pizza rolls. Unfortunately, the only ham on the platter was cooked ham; a spicy Parma ham would have been better here. Cooked cheese schnitzel: Large portion, but: The schnitzels are deep-fried, and you can taste it. Maybe they could bring themselves to fry them in clarified butter and then charge €2 more (as an alternative). We were unlucky with the cooked cheese; it was unfortunately "crappy." The feta, as an appetizer – oven-baked feta – was very hot with plenty of vegetables. But even that could be a bit better; if they gratinated it a bit more at the end, it would be a dream. No complaints – the brownie was excellent. Drinks arrived promptly, and refills were always promptly refilled. It's actually worth three stars, but four because of the excellent staff.

We visited Frankfurt 2 months ago for a few days and we wanted to explore the areas around! We found Antik Lokales and really liked it! We didn’t make a reservation but the staff were very helpful and found us a table immediately. They came to take our order very quick and the drinks came within the first 10’ , we ordered pizza and our order was ready within about 35-40’ . The pizzas were amazing with a thin (but not the italian paper thin) dough baked in a metal pan which made the dough nice and crunchy! I got a vegetarian pizza and everything was fresh and tasty! My sister tried the schnitzel with the mushrooms and loved it but couldn’t finish it all cause it was too big! Generally we ate and drunk plenty and good and we gave 30€ each ! Pretty good value for money! I will be in Germany next week and honestly i will revisit Antik Lokales as i saw on their instagram profile they changed the pizzas so i want to taste the new menu!

Unfortunately not as it used to be

We love going to this restaurant with its cozy atmosphere and music that's perfect for us. The service is always friendly. The pizza dough has been changed and tastes even better to us. We found the fresh, regional ingredients for the salad to be excellent and exactly what we wanted. It's also helpful to be able to read about the origins of these regional products on the back of the menu.

Nice pub atmosphere and pub food. Staff is friendly. Parking situation outside is a no go, as many parking spaces were deliberately removed. So it might take 15-20 minutes to find a free spot...

When you think you've tried every pizza in the world - Antik Lokales comes along and teaches you otherwise! Huge selection, great taste and a base that's crispier than my post-summer vacation budget. Even apart from the pizza, it was a hit: the schnitzel came to the plate golden brown and juicy, the side salad was so fresh that I was almost tempted to water it. The service? Fast, friendly, attentive – but not intrusive. Just the right mix of relaxedness and professionalism. You can tell that gastronomy is done with passion here. Conclusion: If you leave here hungry, it's your own fault. I'll definitely be back - probably more often than I'd like (my scale is already complaining).

We have around 40-50 pizza chips per year. The days in the restaurant at Fantasy had the wrong sauce, horseradish instead of garlic. Took salads home today, they were basically without sauce. The containers were half empty. We actually know it differently. This development is a real shame!

We were there on Friday evening. The place was packed. Service was slow, especially in the back rooms. The menu is overwhelming. You should aggressively simplify all food options. Choose 10-12 of the most popular pizzas - remove the rest. Add a burger or two to the menu. Salads were good. Overall it's very basic pub grub with too much salt and oil. Guinness and Grohe beers were good. Maybe a little more color on the walls for atmosphere. The color scheme and art are very boring and could be modernized. The website and reservation system can also be updated. All in all... The place has great potential under the new management.

Delicious schnitzels and pizza in a cozy atmosphere! The restaurant impresses with its rustic charm - lots of wood and warm, inviting furnishings. The schnitzels are huge and taste great! The cooked cheese and Bolognese schnitzel are particularly recommended. Super tender meat and crispy breading. In my opinion, by far the best schnitzels in the area. The portions are large, the prices are fair - here you really get something for your money, which is rarely the case in most restaurants these days. We'll definitely be back!

Were there again yesterday evening, but as others say, not like it used to be with the old tenant. Prices have risen sharply and are not in proportion to the food, which is no longer what it used to be. Sorry, but that doesn't work at all. The staff I have to say are super friendly and comfortable to sit there. What's also new now is that you now have to have an app to get pizza coupons, it's not possible, but it stays the way it used to be.

The Antik-Lokales is an institution in Eberstadt, it has existed for years, the premises and menu have remained stable. I think it's great 😀 Even after the renovation, the charm and flair of this restaurant is still there. The food is delicious, well made, plentiful, down to earth. Price/performance ratio is right, the portions are large. The service is friendly, attentive and fast - no one has to wait long here. All in all, a great visit and certainly not the last one at this restaurant 😀

I have been a guest for decades. Since the change of managing director things have continued to go downhill! The prices are one thing but the quality of the food is no longer good. In the last few weeks, in about 10 visits, the pizza has been completely burned!!! Schnitzel dry, noodles just a cup of cream poured over it and not seasoned or still cold inside. Classic cooking in the microwave! Sorry it's no longer possible, make an effort or change your cook

Yesterday at 6:15 p.m. we immediately asked if we had a reservation even though the whole place was almost empty. Local shopping is on the menu at 18.90 for schnitzel with cooked cheese and for Tiki Chicken Pizza at 16.90 chicken breast was bought in strips and paprika bacon and Barbecue sauce and spicy Edam cheese were under the topping and there was too little sauce. The edge of the pizza was baked for too long. The middle was soft so the schnitzel wasn't baked properly Fibers that means poor quality very thin and baked in a deep fryer the schnitzel came out cold when I told her she said we had warmed it up again so in the microwave she added additional sauces sustainable but still very unfriendly the neighboring table with 4 people had all the sauces for example. Ketchup/mayo etc. I only got one of them. The best thing about the food was the drinks. If you go back to the juice shop you get 1 coupon for each meal. If you have 20 you get a pizza for free. The next table with 4 people had 8 pieces so that was it I come here often and would be treated better for this quality. I would rather not go to a snack bar

Pizza dough too thick and limp for my taste. Sat in front of empty glasses for 20 minutes and had to eat my pizza without a drink. Espresso only came after paying...+1 star more because it's Christmas

Unfortunately the garlic sauce is completely dry from baking. It has the consistency and taste of herb quark or cream cheese. It used to be like aioli. Unfortunately, the herb sauce (hardly any garlic taste) didn't taste much more like dill or other herbs. The pizzas were all rather dry (not enough sauce). In addition, canned mushrooms were used, which I find extremely unfortunate and unnecessary, as everywhere else it explicitly says "fresh mushrooms", even with the extras you assume that mushrooms are generally fresh. There were a lot of them, but since I find canned mushrooms absolutely disgusting, they all ended up in the trash. Unfortunately, in the photo you can see the crumbly consistency of the sauce, which was more like herb cream cheese, which has never been so normal before. Unfortunately it's no longer worth it for us.

The restaurant is great! The food was really excellent! The hot chocolate brownie rounded off the evening perfectly. The atmosphere is still very cozy and furnished with heart. You can tell that the owners care about the store. We can recommend a visit to everyone!

A must for pizza and pasta lovers! The Antik Lokales has been our favorite restaurant since it reopened. The schnitzel is excellent and the pasta tastes authentically Italian. Simply great! Since the reopening, Antik Lokales has definitely improved in quality. The pizza is crispy and richly topped, the pasta is authentic and perfectly seasoned. UPDATE 10/21/24: A lot has happened in the AL. Newly designed card that looks very good. New dishes on the menu - for example the Fishbox is a recommendation. There is also a selection of sauces, ketchup and mayo delivered directly to the table - all included. There is also a new selection of fresh, homemade lemonades on the drinks menu, which taste very delicious. The largest pizza menu ever can be found at Antik Lokales in the middle of Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The dining room is a bit cluttered, but it's all the more rustic. Just something different and that's a good thing. The waitresses are all very friendly and are happy to give tips when ordering or know the menu almost by heart (which is really a masterpiece when it comes to choosing 😉). Now under new management, the beautiful beer garden has also been completely redesigned and now looks very inviting. The sanitary facilities were also renovated. All in all, you know that you're in good hands at Antik Lokal and, above all, you'll get good food.

Das war wieder ein schöner Besuch im Lokales. Die Karte ist mittlerweile etwas moderner geworden ohne Abstriche bei den Klassikern.

Always a pleasure. World's best pizza. A variety of pizza creations that are second to none. My tip is... The Neumann Spezial or the Dutch. If you're brave, you should try the zombie pizza. The ambience is right, as is the service. It's also worth traveling further to spend an evening here. Just parking there can be a bit challenging, but somehow it always works.

Very well topped pizza with lots of ingredients, large selection, it's best to look at the menu beforehand as it's very extensive. Ambiance in the front area is very nice and rustic, in the back area there is room for improvement.

Please change the text on your answering machine. We drive an hour to you and called in advance to find out the opening times. Unfortunately, we are now faced with closed doors. It's a shame, we were looking forward to some great pizza.

We went there twice in quick succession over the summer and both times the service was poor. The wrong drinks were brought (beer instead of Äppler) because they forgot to say that Äppler was currently out. Likewise the rosé. A little later we saw Äppler at neighboring tables. When we asked, we were told that the drinks supplier had been there in the meantime. It's amazing that such basic drinks even go out in the summer. The food was brought to us without cutlery with the comment that cutlery would be brought straight away. Of course it wasn't like that, it was forgotten. It's a mystery to me why you don't bring it to the table right away or ideally beforehand and why you don't want to make the guest wait for it. After waiting in vain, we finally had to get up and ask for cutlery. My salad (Italia) was completely swimming in a thick sauce, which, together with the fact that it was completely over-salted, made it barely edible. The homemade bread that came with it can only be described as an accident. It was probably made from pizza dough, but it didn't rise at all, so they were more cookie-like and completely tasteless rolls. The base of the pizzas tastes similarly biscuit-like. All in all, not an experience when it comes to service and food. Unfortunately, the nice atmosphere doesn't help anymore.

The name of the restaurant perfectly reflects the style and ambience of the location. You can enjoy unusual, delicious dishes in a rustic atmosphere. The consistently friendly staff are always attentive and polite. We'd love to come back.

Thanks to the comfortable division into smaller areas, you can relax and eat very well with friends or even sit a little longer 😉 On the second visit we sat down in the newly designed beer garden. One of the worst pizzas I've ever had. The topping was okay, but the dough was absolutely out of the question. It tasted kind of “vomity”, I can’t think of another word to describe it vividly.

I've been going to restaurants and beer gardens for so long and have always loved it. Yesterday, however, I had the worst pizza I've ever eaten there. I always thought the pizza was delicious and never had anything to complain about. After I noticed that the pizza prices had increased immensely and the pizza had also become a little smaller, it was unfortunately the case that the pizza no longer met my expectations at all (my friend didn't like it just as much). The dough was cookie-dry and no longer had the good taste. I always liked the thin dough, which to my dismay has now become thicker with a higher edge. After the first bite I asked if the day was different than usual, but was immediately told no. When I said that the dough was extremely dry, I saw from the waitress's reaction that it wasn't the first time he had heard that. We both ate about half of the pizza and gave the rest back. When we mocked the taste, we were offered a drink on the house, but we weren't interested in that anymore. Very, very unfortunate. There were still tips, but nothing had changed in the friendliness of the waitresses and the lovely ambience. However, we don't yet know whether we will come back again so quickly. In principle, we are happy to pay a euro or two more if the food is worth it. Unfortunately, in this case it wasn't the case the first time.

Worst pizza ever. With squid rings with soggy breading, partly gray prawns and a salad with horseradish sauce. 30€ for that. Never again!

For as long as I can remember, we have enjoyed going to the Antik Lokal. The menu has changed slightly. Unfortunately, the rustic, cozy atmosphere was taken away from the beer garden. We noticed that the pizzas have become much greasier and the pizza dough is no longer the same. This was soggy due to all the fat. Unfortunately, this was the case for everyone. But the taste is okay and if you soak up the fat with a napkin. Praise that there are more salad dressings now. But unfortunately the honey mustard wasn't really flavorful. Cucumber slices were roughly chopped. But the chicken on it wasn't freshly cooked. In this price range, I don't expect dry snippets warmed up in the micro. Sorry but I probably won't come anymore.

Gladly again :) This was our first time at Antik Lokales. We didn't want to go in at first because one or two reviews said the pizza was dry. But we thought that couldn't be the case given all the good reviews. All we can say is that we ate a very airy, perhaps somewhat unusual tall pizza. What is absolutely unique is how generous the toppings are on the pizza. Unlike the Italian restaurant, where I get two slices of ham and three tomatoes on the pizza, here there is really something in the pizza and you definitely won't go home hungry. The quaint interior of the store is certainly more suitable for winter. But the green beer garden is even more beautiful. We were certainly not there for the last time.

View super nice as always :) Highly recommended for a relaxing evening with friends The only thing I noticed today, which was unfortunately a shame, was that there were only half rolls with the salad and the salad was half as big as the last time :/ Otherwise I was of course satisfied as always :)

Wir hatten gestern einen entspannten Abend im wunderschön neu gestalteten Biergarten im Antik Lokales. Obwohl es gestern sehr warm war, hat es sich im Biergarten gut aushalten lassen. Die große Linde spendet angenehmen Schatten. Die Speisekarte hat äußerlich nach wie vor die gleiche traditionelle Erscheinungsform. Auch die vielen verschiedenen typischen Pizzasorten sind geblieben. Es gibt aber auch ein paar neue Gerichte zu entdecken, wie verschieden Pasta al forno, verschiedenes Pinsa's und viele leckere Salate mit verschiedenen Dressing's. Sogar 2 Desserts gibt es auf der neuen Karte. Die Preise sind komplett angemessen. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

Just always good Price increase or not. I was there again yesterday and there is a new menu (which, by the way, is very nice and includes lots of delicious new dishes). After a few years the prices were increased again, sometimes a little more. But: yesterday I ate a (huge) pizza and drank two beers and left the store with less than €25. Yes, five or ten years ago that would have been unthinkable. But eating out is just expensive and it is everywhere. Here, however, this is absolutely limited and you still get a great ambience. We'd love to come back

After initial difficulties, everything was fine We were there last Monday. Unfortunately the pizza wasn't really good. We let them go back, but someone who might have been a restaurant manager or something like that promptly came to our table. He apologized and explained that the pizza baker was unfortunately sick and that the helper probably didn't get the dough right that day. You can understand that. In any case, we were offered something alternative and even something on the house. That's exactly how it has to be when something goes wrong. All we can say is that we are extremely satisfied! The human thing was right.

Just something completely different. Antik Lokales makes pizza like no one else. The pizza here is not like an Italian restaurant, but rather properly topped and with an airy, high dough similar to a pan pizza 🍕. It may look strange at first, but it tastes incredibly delicious. And there really is something here. The pizza feels like it weighs 1 kg. I can't understand why some people write in the comments that 12 euros is too expensive. You sit in a very beautiful garden with music, which is very rare, if at all, in Darmstadt. The wine selection has also really improved massively. We have always been very satisfied and if something went wrong, a solution was always found
