ĂN BÁNH MÌ in Düsseldorf

Where should I start? Far too overpriced. Especially as a local Vietnamese, I find the prices sometimes quite outrageous. The fact that a simple banh mi costs more than a kebab is already below the belt. Opinions differ in terms of taste but for the price it's 0 justified. In Berlin you can get a double portion of Banh Mi for half the price and the taste is sometimes better. You also have the right heo quay to choose from. Well, never again.

I used to be a big fan and probably ordered it once a week or ate it in a restaurant. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated dramatically. My Tofu BahnMi consisted of 60% carrots. No more daikon. Lots of filler. The greater evil, however, was something else. The nausea. Ordered there about 3 months ago and had health problems of the unsavory variety 2 hours later. Since I'm interval fasting and this was my first and only meal, I don't want to draw a 100% conclusion from it, but I avoided the store for 3 months. Went there again today for the first time, good things that everything is going smoothly. What can I say, running does it. With me. Again of the rather unappetizing variety. First meal of the day again. Once is bad luck. Now the second time my conclusion is that I will not come back. It's a shame. It was once very beautiful.

The food is simply fantastic. No matter whether it's rice, pasta or baguettes. I can simply recommend everything! One of my favorite spots!

I actually like going to Ân Bánh Mì. However, there was an unfortunate incident, so I no longer recommend the restaurant (at least on Ackerstr.). Immediately after serving my dish, I noticed an unpleasant smell. After tasting it, my companion and I noticed that the tofu tasted sour and slightly spoiled. Something like that can happen. However, not what followed: When I pointed this out to the staff, all I got was the curt comment that the tofu was marinated in soy sauce. However, soy sauce is not sour, but salty. At my insistence they just said that they would pass it on to the kitchen. No concession to prepare a new dish or refund the money. Very unfortunate. I couldn't eat the dish, which the staff also saw. I then left the restaurant hungry.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is no longer right at all. First the prices went way up (BahnMi +29%) and now the portions are getting smaller (toppings!) and the quality is less (Phô like water). After many loyal years, this was my final pick-up order.

Good food, sommer rolls with tofu and chicken are great and not fried just fresh vegetables and healthy food. Nice restaurant and terrace outside.

Where is the Daikon? Apart from the quality of the remaining ingredients. I had a banh mi with pulled chili beef; So pulled beef is actually very tender and the chili was somewhere right in the middle of the sandwich, which means that the chili was applied afterwards. Whatever, it was just a bad experience. I don't need it a second time either.

Great place, good food, atmosphere

So unfortunately the good times seem to be over. The sandwiches were really great, but now they were thinly topped and bland. There is no longer any effort here, but instead the focus is on items and ingredients that can be easily and quickly prepared in bulk in order to supply all franchise locations with them. It's really too expensive for that.

Their Chili Bun Bo Hue is the ultimate comfort food—rich, flavorful, and satisfying 🔥 And don't sleep on the Avocado Smoothie; it's light, creamy, and incredibly refreshing!

Actually a top address for authentic Vietnamese street food. My wife and I have been going here for years to eat one of the delicious sandwiches and the best summer rolls. However, the map was recently changed. Unfortunately, there is no longer any Meatball or Sesame Chicken Sandwich, but instead there is a very disappointing Crispy Chicken, which, quite wobbly and bland in taste, is worlds away from the previous offering. It's a real shame because we can no longer recommend it and will now look to the competition.

I have ordered here frequently. Things have been going downhill for some time now. Every supermarket sandwich now has better toppings. The Phos are almost just water... It's a shame - I used to really like it 😞

The employees are very friendly, our order was swiftly delivered, the prices were fair overall. According to my wife the room was exceptional. The food was ok. There is much better Vietnamese food to be had in Duesseldorf but the overall experience makes up for it.

Fresh, super tasty, authentic and good service! Ordered 2x curry and summer rolls from Lieferando and unfortunately something different arrived. But no problem, things like that happen and with one phone call everything was corrected without being asked. We then received the correct order. Everything is wonderful. We will eat here again!

Food was good, selection was sufficient and the daily specials during the week were quite good. Ambience a little less good, cramped inside and not very nice with music that you have to like and outside on a (less busy) street. The homemade lemonades are highly recommended. Good for lunch, sufficient for dinner but not my choice.

Hey, they still accepted my >5 year old bonus card ^^. It used to be more common here - but somehow it has fallen asleep. I was surprised at how much the store has improved over the last few years. But the sandwiches still taste as good as they did back then :-)

Super tasty food and quick preparation.

Good phó is hard to find in Germany. This place does ok, very basic selection, 3 versions including beef and chicken. Pretty big bánh mi selection, ive only tried the classic red pork, bread was pretty correct, fillings were lacking flavor and volume, more bread than taste. Cozy place to eat inside and out, and the staff is nice.

A perfect location for lunch with really good Asian food

Cute little restaurant! Felt like being in Vietnam. Food was quite good but even tho some dishes were labeled as spicy it wasn’t really spicy. The bread of the banh mi was delicous. They also got yuzu tea!

Delicious food. Friendly service. I would only recommend cleaning the chairs and getting cushions for comfort. Apart from that the juice was delicious and good great 😃.

I love this restaurant. The banh mi is to die for. It’s absolutely fantastic!!! From the first to last bite I kept asking for more. It brought back memories of flavours I’m used to for banh mi. I highly recommend coming here just for their banh mi. It’s like visiting Vietnam but in Germany.

The Banh Mi's are simply amazing, I've been enjoying eating here for many years! The Pho is good, but nothing that blows you away. The service has varied over the years depending on the staff, but at the moment there are only very friendly people working in the service :)

I loved this store but had a really super bad experience today. The Indian colleague at the checkout was unfriendly to the point of being unfriendly and the Banh Mi bread was unfortunately far too soggy and not at all crispy. No comparison to the branch in Unterbilk. The soups were bland and the meat was tough. What a shame!

so ich fange jetzt mal an ich wurde am telefon angeschrien und beleidigt.. ich solle ihm eine Blas***... ich weiß nicht was ich dazu sagen soll als kunde finde ich ist das die allerletzte hinerecke. bestellt habe ich über wolt angeblich eine "red curry mit gemüse" bekommen habe ich eine lasche suppe.. red curry ist für mich was anderes. ich habe das telefonisch moniert, mir wurde eine rückerstattung über wolt zugesagt. gleichzeitig habe ich sicherheits halber über wolt das ganze parallel angestoßen. Daraufhin meldet wolt das restaurant verzichtet auf eine rückerstattung. im anschliessenden telefonat mit dem restaurant telefonierte ich mit einem anderen mitarbeiter, vermutlich der koch dieser "suppe". Ich wurde angeschriehen und aufs übelste beleidigt. für alle die die asiatische küche kennen wissen, dass man hier nur geschmacksverstärker bekommt und wenn man hier was moniert.. stellt euch darauf ein, dass die mitarbeiter euch sagen was ihr für ihn machen sollt. wirklich das allerletzte... ich überlege hier das ganze zur Anzeige zu bringen, ist es mir das wert? ...Zumindest eine Klare Warnung wenn ihr mit dem essen hier nicht zufrieden seid.

Service is rather limited, but that's okay. The food, as you can see from the menu, is not really Vietnamese. There are a few Vietnamese dishes, but also a lot that can generally be found in the (East) Asian region. In terms of taste, the fried udon noodles were unremarkable to boring/bland. I don't know what was done with the tofu, but it didn't taste good. I've had much better udon dishes. The curry also tastes rather bland and has nothing to do with a Vietnamese curry. The summer rolls were okay, but nothing more. Unfortunately, the lemongrass lemonade was my only bright spot. Otherwise the atmosphere is quite nice.

Still the tastiest sandwiches in Düsseldorf. Pulled chili beef is the favorite, but the spring rolls are also very tasty.

It was my first time ordering there and apparently I was unlucky. There was nothing wrong with the delivery, but the restaurant or the way it was prepared didn't seem to suit my taste. I love Vietnamese cuisine and have only had bad luck with a few restaurants. Unfortunately, things should be different with this one. I couldn't eat the bowl I ordered because unfortunately I didn't like it at all. The dressing was a thick mess that not only looked weird but was also inedible for my taste. Unfortunately, the mango salad that we ordered was also prepared very carelessly and didn't taste like anything. The red curry is a soup (never seen it before) and does not meet my expectations. As I said, the way the food is prepared just doesn't suit my taste. My review does not mean that the products are inferior. I was just looking forward to a delicious Vietnamese meal, which unfortunately I didn't get.

The spicy pulled beef sandwich is literally not spicy. The meat was cold and flavorless. One and done. Also, I paid €0,50 for two jalapeño slices, that has to be a joke.

Leckeres Sandwiches, die definitv mehr sättigen als ein Sub. Gibt reichlich Auswahl zu fairen Preisen. Sitzen kann man sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Die Sitzplätze draußen sind direkt an einer Straße. Dort ist aber nicht viel Verkehr und man kann sich noch gut unterhalten

War heute Mal wieder da. Suppe war lau warm. Nach Reklamation wurde die Suppe mitgenommen mit den Worten :"Die kommt gerade aus dem Ofen." Zweiter Versuch immer noch nicht heiß. Wieder Reklamiert, noch Mal Ofen (Microwellen Ofen???) Suppe kommt und dampft. Ich :"oh jetzt dampft sie." Kellner:"Hat sie eben auch!" Der Spruch gab mir dann den Rest.

Ich habe nun zwei mal dort gegessen und fand die Gerichte beides mal fad. Die Getränke sind aber gut und das Essen ist recht schnell fertig, außerdem kann man gut draußen sitzen.

Super schnell und sehr lecker! 10/10

Wir kamen gegen 15:30 Uhr an einem Freitag vorbei und es gab genügend freie Plätze. Das Essen wurde auch nach unserer Bestellung recht zügig gemacht. Wir hatten ein Special Banh Mi und ein Lemongrass Meatball Banh Mi. Als Getränke hatten wir einen Avocado-Smoothie und einen Lychee Love Mocktail.

Das Lokal ist sehr alternativ und hip. Zum Service lässt sich wenig sagen, da Selbstbedienung ist. Der bitte aufgrund einer Allergie die sommerrollen ohne Gurken zuzubereiten wurde leider nicht nachgekommen. Geschmacklich gut. Preis-Leistung auch gut, wenn man sich nicht zu viel erwartet.

Ich habe einen Pho mit Hähnchen Fleisch bestellt, leider das Fleisch und Pho war nicht lecker! Sehr wenig und lieblos auch.

Wirklich leckeres vietnamesisches Essen! Leckere pho Nudelsuppe und gebratene Udon! Das Ambiente war total modern und entspannend! Mit schöner Akustik Musik und toller Raumgestaltung. Preise sind total in Ordnung und das Personal dorf auch sehr nett. Nur zu empfehlen!

Toll und schön eingerichtetes Vietnamesisches Streetfood Restaurant. Die Preise sind fair und die Banhmi lecker. Die Banhmi sind mit knackigem Gemüse gefüllt und die Saucen schmackhaft. Zu empfehlen sind das Banh mi xa siu oder banh mi special. Ein sehr leckerer Snack für zwischendurch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Horrible and rude experience. I have visited this place in the past and the food was always ok, but the staff not so friendly. Yesterday I decided for the first time in many months to pick up a late lunch after leaving the indoor swimming pool and riding my bike under a strong rain storm. When I arrived soaking wet around 4.35 Pm they told me that the service was on a lunch break until 5pm. The Asian guy that tried to take my order was friendly but his boss that was sitting eating told me that “we have to eat as well” which I replied “of course”. So they told me I had to wait 20 minutes to order. I said OK but if I could pre-order and the boss said not possible in a rude manner. So I waited until 5pm sitting by the entrance. Then 3 people came before 5pm and I was hoping that the staff would remember I was the first to order… . Well, when the boss got behind the cashier he ignored me and did not call me and neither looked at me, he was about to take the orders of the other people that just arrived. I asked him if he remember I was there waiting for 20 minutes and he acted indiferente and unfriendly. I told him I did not like his attitude and energy and I decided to leave without ordering anything. I wasted my time and energy but avoided paying for a sandwich 7,50 euros, which was 6,50 a few months ago. Also the food is quite expensive for what it is but if on top they are rude and unfriendly, then…, I rather not go ever again, maybe not.
