Food is okay but 15% as a minimum tip when paying by card is wild

Very delicious food. We had the cauliflower, which was particularly well seasoned. The paneer tikka is highly recommended. For drinks, we had the fresh iced tea and the Little Bombay. Very refreshing in the heat. Great outdoor area and elegant interior. And as you can see from the pictures, the best restroom ever. We'll be back. Thanks also for the friendly service.

I highly recommend Amrit in Schöneberg! The staff is super friendly (you always get a warm welcome) and the food is truly delicious.

Once again, I had a very good meal at Amrit. The service at Amrit is always exceptionally good. I had a delicious lentil dal with naan bread and three sauces. My companion had cheese and lentil soup as a starter. Both were really well-seasoned. Amrit in Schöneberg is a bit smaller than in Mitte and at Potsdamer Platz, so it felt a bit more cozy.

Delicious food! Great service, super fast

I will give 4 stars instead of 5, and I’ll explain why. First of all, the food is nice. I like it, and I like Indian food. Even if it’s a little expensive in the restaurant, the quality and service were good. But here’s the thing: when I was paying, I didn’t give any extra tip. I don’t think that’s required. The guy was friendly at first, but as soon as I didn’t leave, say, a 10% tip, he literally ignored me. He turned his face away and left quickly. I could see from his face that he was very angry. I felt like I made a big mistake or maybe said something wrong. Even when I said “Have a nice weekend” to him, he just looked at me without reacting. I don’t want to name this worker because I don’t want to cause trouble for him. He should keep his job. But please, if someone doesn’t leave an extra tip, that’s fine. Don’t get angry. Tip is nice but It’s not your right.🙂

Amrit is a Berlin institution! For us as a family, Amrit (no matter which one) is our regular Indian restaurant. The food is always delicious, the service is extremely friendly, and we always enjoy coming here. I enjoy trying new dishes and being surprised by unexpected new flavors. I first ate at the Schöneberg branch as a student... shortly after it opened. And we'll be coming back to Amrit often.

The price is good, the food and portions are good, and the service is unbeatable. We went here for lunch recently for the first time and are already planning to go again! We spent around €9 per person and had food leftover. Honestly, it's the one I recommend most in the area, by far!

waiters have very bad attitudes. i went here few times, also with my brown friends & it seems like they give brown people dirty looks like very judgy up & down looks. very uncomfortable to watch. they don’t have this weird attitudes with white people like me or other tables. you need to do better with ur indians attitudes!

AMRIT in Berlin-Schöneberg is one of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin and, in my opinion, the best in the area. Admittedly, the restaurant's location isn't exactly my favorite part of Berlin, but I'll be happy to return because of the excellent food.

Whenever we are in Berlin, we eat there at least once. The ambience is absolutely beautiful, the service is simply excellent and the food is consistently delicious. I can only recommend it.

A taste of India! Nice restaurant with very good Indian food (I recommend the butter lamb with nan bread!). Quick service with friendly staff and friendly prices. We will definitely come back!

We chose this restaurant today while visiting Berlin from Canada. Reviews were good so we chose it. Our server, Harun, was AWESOME! He made our night so special. Gave us complimentary plain rice, salad & mango vodka shots. Food was awesome, very spicy but really good. So many flavours. Highly recommend this location.

Service was super friendly and quick. Ambience nice and modern. Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious, Batura was very tasty & Mango Lassi too Recommended

With reservations, we found space outside as a large group. However, the next rows of tables were very close together, which made the place somewhat reminiscent of a train station. One of the many waiters quickly took our orders and both the drinks and food were delivered very quickly. However, it now became clear that the small tables were very tight. The taste of the food wasn't great, but it was good. However, the spiciness masked the taste. Despite the large group, a single payment was easily possible and went quickly.

Always delicious... lunch menu from Monday to Friday...the mango lassi is also pretty tasty, nice service...

Were here last Monday and the service was really bad. As always, the dishes are delicious and never disappoint, but the waiter who served us was really rude. When we ordered our food, he asked us very intrusively what we wanted, even though we first sat down, and looked at each other very unpleasantly the whole time. Towards the end we wanted to enjoy our drink and talk, he came to us, put his cell phone on the table and asked directly whether we wanted to pay with cash or card, even though we didn't want to pay yet because we weren't finished yet. I paid in cash, he took the money and walked away without giving back change? This is thieves on a different level, really disappointing!

We celebrated my father's 80th birthday! Great team, very nice atmosphere, spacious, both floors were full even though it was a Monday! No stress, Indian style! The food is, as always, super delicious, traditional Indian with lots of fun decorations! My father received his birthday song with fireworks and the team sang him a birthday song! Great restaurant with very tasty food in a nice atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff. The food was super tasty with a great spiciness. The portions are quite large and are great for sharing as each dish is served in different bowls. If you are traveling with several people, it is worth ordering different dishes and then trying each other. Rice can be refilled free of charge upon request if the bowl is empty. There are paid parking spaces in front of the door and the surrounding area. We liked it very much. Thank you very much for the great service.

Heerlijk eten en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Je hoeft niet lang te wachten op het eten. Wij hebben er twee dagen achter elkaar gegeten. De cocktails zijn ook erg lekker en betaalbaar.

We had lunch in the restaurant on Saturday. From the reservation, to the food, to the service, everything was wonderful. Vishal was our waiter and he was wonderfully attentive. The food came quickly, was very fresh and tasted good. The music was a bit too loud for us, we noticed this when we were talking, but we also sat right next to the speakers - more our fault - since we were allowed to choose the place ourselves. The people in the restaurant are very hard working.

We have ordered here several times and also eaten there. The food is consistently solid and always equally good and great value for money. The waitresses and waiters are also very friendly and it feels like everyone says hello and goodbye when you enter and leave the restaurant. You can often still get a spot on site even without a reservation if you are not a large group. It's obviously not very popular to linger comfortably here, you're processed quickly so that the table is freed up for the next guests as quickly as possible. Nevertheless, we always end up here again and again, we'll definitely come back!

Prices increased by 20% (Attention: Prices vary between our own homepage and e.g. UberEats, UberEats is cheaper!! - Side salad has been abolished and the in-house supplier no longer gets a hello and thank you despite a tip - Amrit is getting rid of himself! We were regular customers for years - the last time was today :( !!!

The Indian restaurants are all very similar, you know what you're getting and it always tastes good. But the Amrit stands out, taste, portion size, price - everything is great!

We have enjoyed coming here for over 20 years. Great food, great cocktails and nice atmosphere! The birthday parties are great here! The children are happy, as are the parents and the birthday guest. ;) The employees are very friendly and accommodating. Small requests are quickly implemented. We were there today with 4 people and ate and drank cocktails - it's really delicious and the price is totally right! So much so that we were happy to give the very friendly staff a little more tip than usual. Gladly again!!

We went out to dinner yesterday for Valentine's Day/wedding anniversary and had reserved the table weeks ago! Unfortunately, our table wasn't prepared and set, or differences were made from Valentine's Day, so we older people went away empty-handed without roses... The food was very good, the service was nice, just too overzealous... that at the beginning it was very uncomfortable & stressful because everyone wanted something from you. We generally order drinks, appetizers first and then the rest later so that there is enough time in between. Because otherwise you have everything on the very small tables at the same time. The waitress's long hair (up to her bottom) hung on the table because of the narrowness when serving. Then it is generally far too narrow between the tables. You can hear every word that is spoken and that's not possible for a dinner for two👎. It's a shame 1-2 tables less in the window row would be more customer friendly. Because the strollers were squeezed into the tables, it became even tighter.

Overall experience 4.5/5 I personally visited so many restaurants after my trip to Germany in search of Indian cuisine and this restaurant offered a very very accurate taste of every single food we ordered, just like we get in India.

I had butter chicken and it was delicious. So it's no surprise that the restaurant was full and there was a line when we left the restaurant. There was rice and salad and I think the portions were really good and the price is really fair.

In terms of taste, the food is really amazing and the price is completely reasonable. In addition, a main course really fills you up even if it doesn't look like it. The service is always nice and attentive. And the ambience is fine. The tables are sometimes close together and it is very loud.

Been here many, many times. Very good curries. Very comfortable patio on a quiet street, nice decor and very good service. Very good prices.

I recently went to Amrit Restaurant and absolutely loved it! The food was not only incredibly tasty, but also authentic and freshly prepared. I was particularly impressed by the spices and flavors - exactly what you would expect from real Indian cuisine. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, and the overall ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming. Whether it's spicy curries, crispy naan or delicious lassis - everyone gets their money's worth here. An absolute must for anyone who loves Indian food! I'll definitely come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Very good food and good service

It always amazes me how crowded this place is, because it has nothing to do with Indian food as I know it from India. In principle it doesn't matter, but what is served here is sticky, creamy and surprisingly tasteless - even though it was ordered extra spicy. Seldom eaten so badly. Conclusion: No recommendation

Large selection of dishes, unfortunately only in homeopathic degrees of spiciness (spicy to "hot"), delicious cocktails and fast service.

Despite the mega success, the food is still very high quality and at absolutely fair prices. You can philosophize about the furnishings as they are slowly showing their age, but no matter:)) But the entire service definitely deserves 10 points. The nicest waiters in the Berlin gastronomy scene, all of them.

The restaurant is located in an area where there are different types of international restaurants within a few meters of each other. Well-kept place, welcoming and intriguing environment. Soft lights and typical aromas of Indian cuisine entice you to discover the menu and savor every type of delicacy on offer. Precise and attentive service, staff everywhere throughout the room. The food was tasting a little too plane, which we did not expect for an Indian restaurant. The lentil soup was ok but definitely missed some flavours, same for the chicken curry. Sadly it was not spicy at all, as mentioned in the menu. The Naan was also okay but could’ve had more cheese and garlic. The service was very fast tho and the waiter were all very friendly! 😊 They also offer a plantbased version of chicken, which I really appreciated!

One of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Plenty of dishes and choice, staff are friendly and quick. Flavours are amazing and portion sizes are great. Lots of vegetarian options, vegan choices are clearly marked.
