I can't describe how delicious the food was and how beautiful it was. Yesterday I spontaneously made a reservation with my girlfriend and it was the right decision. I love sushi and have never eaten such delicious and fresh sushi as here. The interior is beautiful and cozy. The service was great! I would happily recommend it and will definitely come back!

We passed the small restaurant by chance. We love sushi and weren't ready to admit it. The food was great. The prices are completely reasonable and okay. We had the appetizer platter for 2 and the sushi platter M6. We left the restaurant full and happy. Thanks so much.

We went there for the first time today and it was really, really tasty!! The food came super quickly within 5 minutes! We ordered several dishes all dishes were a 10/10. The waiters and employees are very friendly.

First of all: the food was great. But then comes this: 1. Cash only is an absolute no-go, especially with restaurant prices. The question arises as to why this doesn't work... 2. The drink prices are just too high. 3. People sit far too close to each other. This makes conversations very difficult because the neighbor always has to listen in. Just one less table and it would be significantly better. 4. You only have a table reserved for 90 minutes. That's definitely not enough for a nice evening. 5. Due to the number of tables in the small rooms, it is quite loud...

We had a starter plate and the sushi menu M7. Everything was to our satisfaction. The tables were close together, so if you're looking for an "intimate meal" you've come to the wrong place. We found the prices for the drinks to be very ambitious. In terms of quality, everything was fine. Unfortunately you could only pay in cash. If you want to be on the safe side, you should reserve a table.

Be sure to ask for the invoice! On October 11th we ate here. We enjoyed the food very much and I would have liked to give it 5 stars. But if you get the feeling that you're being taken for a ride when it comes to the bill.... Calculated in your head beforehand, 43.20 euros! The waiter types everything into his device and says 44.20 euros! I pay including the tip and ask for the bill! Then he goes away and comes back after a few minutes with a bill of 43.20 euros! Sorry, that doesn't work at all! Therefore 2 stars deducted! Why did he previously ask for one euro more? Intention? We then described the situation at the counter and got one euro back. No apology, no explanation from the waiter............... Card payments are also not possible and if you have to ask for a bill, you know why that is the case. In addition, we had reserved the table 2 months before and there was no reservation when we arrived.

We have eaten here several times and always enjoy being here. Today we spontaneously ended up at Ami and were lucky to get a table. The roasted duck tasted very good, as always. Try the Saporo beer.

The three of us ate in the restaurant this evening, the food was delicious, there was a lot on offer from sushi to hot dishes. The service was super nice and everyone was helpful to us. At the beginning we were really overwhelmed by the large selection, but with the help of the waiter we made good decisions in the end. The. Udon noodle and the M3 are recommended, overall a great evening, we'll be back!

Were eating there for the first time. There were 4 of us. The service was very good, very attentive and always quick. The atmosphere was quite nice, but it was very cold in the “back room” where we sat. The sushi was OK in terms of taste, appearance and preparation, but unfortunately it didn't blow us away.

Very small but really cute shop. I can only judge the one dish I had, which was a bowl that tasted quite good and looked very, very good, but the dressing was too sour for me. But that is a matter of taste. The other dishes, especially the sushi, looked really tasty and were presented really nicely. The service was exceptionally good. There was a downer at the beginning: we had made a reservation for four people for a birthday and when we arrived, the first thing we were told was that we only had the table for 90 minutes. I have to deduct one star for this because this announcement was not made when the reservation was confirmed and less than two hours is already short of time for a leisurely meal. Otherwise, I can only praise the service, because it was very attentive and impeccable throughout the entire visit. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but since it is very small, the staff inevitably walks past the table every minute when you are sitting inside. So the recommendation is to sit outside if possible. The food was very good. The Ami's Curry really has a pleasant spiciness (by European standards). We had various starters which we also enjoyed. Overall, it's recommended, but there are a few little things you should pay attention to as a guest.

Absolute insider tip on Kaiserstrasse. We had a starter plate and a mixed sushi platter. The spring rolls and shrimp skewers were a highlight. Sushi was tasty, but with a bit of room for improvement. Ambience great, especially with the outdoor area very pleasant in summer. The price is absolutely right and the service is also 1A.

Found this restaurant by chance and tried it out. The service was very friendly. The food was really tasty and we will now go there regularly. You can't complain about the price. I paid around 17 euros for rice with crispy duck and the duck was really crispy. Only recommended. 💪👍

The shop is on the beautiful Kaiserstrasse, we had a table outside. The service was good, the sushi (I had a salmon variation) was very good. It is advisable to reserve in advance or plan to wait, it was very busy on a Tuesday.

They have just a small sign regarding the payment method: they accept just cash, and in our case they informed us just after we ordered the drinks. If you are trying to explain them about this and how they should inform you from the beginning, the employees pretend they don't understand, especially because most of them don't speak English. A very unfriendly place for tourists!

Simply the best Asian in Dortmund 😍 We have been here many times and are thrilled every time. The food is great, the service is totally friendly and attentive without being intrusive and the small shop simply has charm. Reservations are definitely necessary, especially on weekends, as the restaurant is quite small. We recommend the fried udon and the tasty peanut curry (both shown in the photo).

Our bad experience happened last year when we reserved a table for our birthday. Sushi with a fog effect was requested. Unfortunately we only got one sparkler. The sushi was good. Unfortunately, after 1.5 hours we were asked to leave because our reservation was followed by another one. We agreed: this was the last visit. With good hopes, we wanted to give the restaurant a second chance this year. We were regular customers at the previous sushi owner (Fukuoka) and actually liked the small shop and the cozy atmosphere. This time we had a table for two and the seating was so tight that we had no space and were literally sitting back to back with other guests. This physical contact was extremely unpleasant. Aside from the lack of privacy, you also want to be able to have a conversation without being disturbed. In terms of price and quality, the sushi was quite good and prepared really quickly. The waitresses are friendly & attentive. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy our visit to the restaurant for the reasons mentioned above. We simply expect a certain level of privacy. Therefore, unfortunately, this was the last visit.

The food was super delicious! We had the starter for 2 (was ok) and sushi, 94.95 and 126. mega good. Everything at the tables around it also looked great. Ein kleines schnuckeliges Restaurant , mit ein paar Sitzplätzen draußen . Das Essen ist frisch mit knackigem Gemüse , die Portion reichlich und wirklich lecker . Omas Mangocurry , Udon Wok Spezial beides mit extrem knuspriger Ente , top . Die Misosuppe mit Seetang , etwas süßlicher als ich es normalerweise kenne , interessant und schmackhaft . Die Sushis werde ich beim nächsten Mal probieren , da sie sehr köstlich aussehen.Dessert Sesambällchen , grandios Preis - Leistung stimmt 😃 Die Bedienung sehr freundlich .

Tolles Restaurant mit einem guten Service und einer guten Küche. Wir haben es sehr genossen und werden gerne wieder kommen denn da gibt es noch viel zum ausprobieren. Zu den meisten Gerichten gibt es eine vegetarische alternative.

Das leckerste Curry gegessen was ich jemals gegessen habe, so cremig! Klare und absolute Empfehlung! Im übrigen auch sehr gemütlich.

Leider etwas overrated. Der Service war sehr unaufmarksam, das Essen ist durchschnittlich. Ich selber esse bei vielen guten Japanern, der gehört eher zum unteren Durchschnitt. Die Preise sind aber sehr gut.

Great find in the city. Food choice is amazing and the food itself was stellar. Serving sizes did not disappoint - value for money. Would definitely recommend! The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night and we were lucky to get a table for 2 without reservation. Really loved the atmosphere too.

Es war gestern wie immer ein großes Vergnügen. Freundlicher, schneller und guter Service und sehr leckeres Essen. Egal ob Vorspeisen, Salate oder Suppen, traditionelle Gerichte, oder Sushi und Nachtisch, alles immer super frisch. Schade, dass ich 300 km entfernt wohne, sonst wäre ich bestimmt 1 mal pro Woche da.

Ich bin gestern das erste mal dort gewesen und positiv überrascht worden. Das Restaurant ist jetzt (Winter) recht unscheinbar, was im Sommer sicher anders aussieht, wenn die Tische draußen auch in Benutzung sind. Wir konnten, ohne zuvor einen Tisch reserviert zu haben, an einem Tisch platz nehmen, der zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt reserviert wurde. Extrem unkompliziert. Ebenso unkompliziert wurde das Essen eigeninitiativ für uns eingepackt, das wir nicht geschafft haben. In regelmäßigen Abständen wurde sich erkundigt, ob wir zufrieden seien und nach Bestellung kam das Essen und Getränke ohne lange Wartezeit. Für mich waren in der Miso-Suppe zu viele Wakame-Algen und der Tofu hatte einen bitteren Beigeschmack. Insgesamt hat die Suppe aber gut geschmeckt. Das Sushi war super lecker, die Menge an Ingwer und wasabi waren passend. Wenn man etwas kritisieren wollte, dann die Optik (die Stücke sind teilweise auseinandergefallen. Unbedingt mal ausprobieren.

Hervorragendes Essen ( optisch, geschmacklich, frisch! ) tolles, sehr aufmersames Personal. Wir kommen wieder!

Kleines, gemütliches Restaurant in dem man authentische asiatische Speisen essen kann. Die Mittagskarte umfasst derzeit (Oktober 2023) 7 Gerichte, die jeweils eine Suppe 🍲 inkludieren. Für 3 Essen, eine Vorspeise und drei Getränke haben wir 52€ bezahlt. Die Größe der Portionen ist ok. Hervorzuheben neben dem guten Sushi ist der gute Service. Zudem ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert, eine Kartenzahlung ist leider unmöglich. Mit ein wenig Kleingeld kann man letztlich bei Bedürftigen auf der Kaiserstraße Gutes bewirken.
