The best selection of vegetarian and vegan oriental dishes! The service is super friendly and accommodating. It can get busy sometimes, but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and the wait has always been worth it.

I asked for a spicy kebab, and the unfriendly staff demonstratively gave me an inedible kebab, which they then topped with chili powder, jalapenos, etc. four times. I would like to eat there, but such demonstrative, toxic male behavior is disappointing when you're paying around €10 for a kebab these days.

It used to be the best kebab in Freiburg - unfortunately, that's changed in the last 2-3 years. The individual ingredients in the kebab just don't work anymore, e.g., the falafel is poorly seasoned, the sauce tastes weird, the bulgur is poorly seasoned, etc. The yufka is sometimes truly inedible... Regardless of that, the food increases by 50 cents every 6 months; now it's €9 for a regular yufka.

If you don't like it, leave it alone, the boss is so confident. I tried it and I really liked it. I don't know if I've ever had such a delicious döner kebab in Turkey. May the health department be blessed.

Here in Freiburg, you can get a decent kebab, yufka, and similar products. The vegetarian and vegan options are also highly recommended. The service is fast and friendly. Card payments are accepted, which is great, because without card payments, comparable shops can't really be recommended. It's also a nice place to sit outside, and the shop is easily accessible, whether on foot or by tram. Overall, a recommendation for Freiburg.

It's a doner made with real meat, not minced meat. It's very filling. It tastes amazing. The staff is polite and friendly. If you're passing by, definitely stop by.

It can't be true that if you need something quick to eat (and there's nothing going on), you have to wait 35 minutes for a single pizza. Absolutely nerve-wracking. In the end, I was told every 5 minutes that it would only take 1 more minute. Problem: after about 25 minutes, a car arrived, apparently bringing the cheese, which was then leisurely used to top the pizza. Meanwhile, outside (we were sitting in the outdoor area), about 8 men were busy smoking and shouting loudly. When I asked them to pay, they tried to charge me €2 more – when I asked them, they said, "Oh, sorry, I was thinking about something else." When the pizza was ready, there was a really strange cheese on it. A friend also commented that it definitely tasted completely different than usual. After my criticism, I was offered a new pizza. But since I wasn't sure if I would have to pay again, I declined. In general, there are definitely better options.

The word veal has now been replaced by beef on the menu, so I probably get 20-year-old beef in my kebab. At least that's how it tastes. Strangely, the seller still calls him a calf. This is outrageous and misleading. There used to be whole pepperoni, but now cheap, chopped peppers. The salad was also rotten. If the products from the previous day are rotten, i.e. have brown spots, then give them away and don't ask for ridiculous prices. I don't even want to start with hygiene. Once again, the person who rolls my Yufka collects the money and never washes his hands. Fits in with the miserable friendliness now. Steep fall, can now only advise against it!

Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. Especially Yufka cannot be eaten without sourness. Everything is overloaded with sauce. Unfortunately the vegetarian meat doesn't taste good. It's no longer crispy at all and the seitan is soaked with cold sauce... Dishes like pizza, pide, lahmacun are okay for a kebab shop. It is also commendable that the yufka dough is made in-house; is really good. Overall, okay if you need something quick to eat in the city. It is now a medium-quality kebab shop with a lot of vegan selection. Nothing more, nothing less...

The shop is similar to a visit to a casino. Either the employees make the best yufka in Freiburg or they make you a below-average yufka without any love and they are always in a bad mood and there is hardly ever any beef in the evening

I used to love this place, but in recent years, it has been a disappointment every time I’ve visited. The prices are too high, the service is often unfriendly, and orders are frequently incorrect. The grilled vegetables are consistently overcooked on one side and undercooked (raw) on the other. The meat is often tough and chewy, and the portion sizes seem to shrink with every visit.

As you walk past the place, you can smell the skewers, which whets your appetite. I ordered a large kebab plate with chicken and veal there. The portion was enough for me and you'll definitely be full, it could have been a few more fries. The meat (veal was nice and spicy and crispy) Chicken a little softer but also OK. Ambiance: small snack bar but with enough space. The decoration is relatively neutral, but you don't usually stay there for long hours anyway, you just eat and leave straight away.

The biggest problem is the staff who slap the kebab as if they had to pay their employer. It tasted exactly the way he made it. It's never a shame again!!!

Nevertheless, I would like to thank you for the meal and the reservation at your beautiful establishment. I might only come back when all the other shops are closed. However, I don't give up hope that the criticism will lead to an upward trend in product quality.

I'm an Amara fan but this branch is a disaster. At 7.30pm on a Sunday no more chicken or flatbread. 5 people behind the counter, listlessly running the shop. In the 5 minutes we were in the store, two customers came back because they took the wrong orders. I myself ordered a kebab special with grilled meat and only got a normal one. Unfortunately, I only noticed this at home. Of course I paid the more expensive one...

I also tried in other countries like switzerland, germany etc. and this one was so tasty and the best! the meat is not like fake meat its the real döner meat. Special thanks to Vedat and Apo. Disappointing experience, no one speaks English so it was difficult to order. 2 kebab sandwiches, a portion of chips and 2 drinks 27.50 euros. The beef dog was not good, overcooked and not very tender with a strange flavour, I also found some bones. The vegetables, salad tomatoes and cucumbers of poor quality with an undefined flavour. Truly one of the worst I've ever eaten. The contents of the pita pocket completely tipped over and became empty...not practical and filled with too much stuff...the meat was at the bottom without any seasoning. I was quicker to get a plate. 2 stars only for the chips. Nobody speaks English.

Inspired by the evaluation and aware that we love kebabs we did not hesitate to establish ourselves here. The boy only spoke German and communication was difficult until his colleague arrived to help us. The kebab was inedible, first of all because it was too stuffed and fell apart in an instant, then the quality of the raw material wasn't great. They served it to us with beef which I don't recommend. Everyone came out with rolled piadina. If you end up here, try that one.

Sry. Get dirty fork. It would be freshly washed but still dirty afterwards. There wasn't even a (clean) towel to dry off with so a napkin had to do it. Meat freshly cut but still cold. Vegetables on the kebab plate were burnt and they didn't really taste good either. The whole shop currently seems "dirty". There will be no further visit.

So... I was there some time ago. I thought for a long time whether I should write this here. But since everyone is so enthusiastic, I'm just telling you from my experience - to enjoy it with caution! I have an animal in my Yufka role. It crawled out of the roll when I took a few bites of it...🤢 Full of panic, I went to the seller to tell him this and show him the living thing that came out of the food. He said: "It flew on it, it's alive, if it came out of the kebab it would be dead" somehow as if rolled flat, he said. The master throws the animal down with his finger and I can continue eating it, he says. Never again!!! So I didn't care how good the products were and everything else, like the ambience, because what I experienced was just disgusting and the staff was rude. I regret that I didn't take a photo (shock probably).

Insanly low quality for outrageous prices. This used to be my favorite place to get döner 3 years ago. Sadly the quality has dropped to an unbelievably low level. Food is tasteless and not warm, the staff doesn't communicate well in english or in german, the order was mixed up and labelled wrong. Very sad to see this drop in quality. Will not return again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I used to often eat the vegetarian plates, they were great. This time we had the classic Yufka (1x special and 1x normal), which unfortunately wasn't anything special - on the contrary: very greasy, not a lot of greens and the request for "spicy" wasn't followed up on. What a shame!

The food itself is good, although there are weaknesses (brown edges on the green salad). You can tell that the employees don't speak German very well. The service could be a little more attentive and friendly. What really needs to be complained about: the dining tables in the seating area are always dirty!!! These could be cleaned with a clean one every now and then! rags to be cleaned!! Likewise, the toilet doors are always open! You go to the dirty table with your food and first see the toilet keys and get a nose full of toilet smell!! The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired! Not so appetizing.........

The Amara is lovingly designed. You can stay there quietly whether inside or outside. The food tastes very good and is prepared with passion and skill. In terms of price it is the same as anywhere else in Freiburg. If you don't have much money, people are accommodating and will give you a discount for 2 falafels, for example. You stop by every time you're in town and you'll never be disappointed.
