Once and never again to charge 9€ for a Yufka that was only good in terms of taste. Not even worth one star

Incredibly goooooood!! If you like kebab, you will definitely love this place.

Disappointing experience, no one speaks English so it was difficult to order. 2 kebab sandwiches, a portion of chips and 2 drinks 27.50 euros. The beef dog was not good, overcooked and not very tender with a strange flavour, I also found some bones. The vegetables, salad tomatoes and cucumbers of poor quality with an undefined flavour. Truly one of the worst I've ever eaten. The contents of the pita pocket completely tipped over and became empty...not practical and filled with too much stuff...the meat was at the bottom without any seasoning. I was quicker to get a plate. 2 stars only for the chips. Nobody speaks English.

Inspired by the evaluation and aware that we love kebabs we did not hesitate to establish ourselves here. The boy only spoke German and communication was difficult until his colleague arrived to help us. The kebab was inedible, first of all because it was too stuffed and fell apart in an instant, then the quality of the raw material wasn't great. They served it to us with beef which I don't recommend. Everyone came out with rolled piadina. If you end up here, try that one.

Great options and meal size. The interior design by Dizi is unique and tasteful. 5/5, will eat again.

Amazing pizza and really good people!!

Sry. Get dirty fork. It would be freshly washed but still dirty afterwards. There wasn't even a (clean) towel to dry off with so a napkin had to do it. Meat freshly cut but still cold. Vegetables on the kebab plate were burnt and they didn't really taste good either. The whole shop currently seems "dirty". There will be no further visit.

I always liked going to amara am Martinstor, but unfortunately the quality is no longer convincing. The salad had black edges and the red cabbage tasted strangely like vinegar. A pity !

Normally always good and tasty at Stühlinger, but here I've always had an extremely small portion that doesn't fill you up and for which the price isn't justified. I'm annoyed and hungry. The other employee made normal sized portions.

So... I was there some time ago. I thought for a long time whether I should write this here. But since everyone is so enthusiastic, I'm just telling you from my experience - to enjoy it with caution! I have an animal in my Yufka role. It crawled out of the roll when I took a few bites of it...🤢 Full of panic, I went to the seller to tell him this and show him the living thing that came out of the food. He said: "It flew on it, it's alive, if it came out of the kebab it would be dead" somehow as if rolled flat, he said. The master throws the animal down with his finger and I can continue eating it, he says. Never again!!! So I didn't care how good the products were and everything else, like the ambience, because what I experienced was just disgusting and the staff was rude. I regret that I didn't take a photo (shock probably).

The kebab was very tasty. I was only there once and the employees were extremely unfriendly and didn't really seem like anything was organized. It's a shame about the good kebab

Insanly low quality for outrageous prices. This used to be my favorite place to get döner 3 years ago. Sadly the quality has dropped to an unbelievably low level. Food is tasteless and not warm, the staff doesn't communicate well in english or in german, the order was mixed up and labelled wrong. Very sad to see this drop in quality. Will not return again. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

The beef I ordered (hummus plate) was completely inedible… Tough, fatty, full of tendons… It's nice if you value regionality, but the quality was subpar.

I used to often eat the vegetarian plates, they were great. This time we had the classic Yufka (1x special and 1x normal), which unfortunately wasn't anything special - on the contrary: very greasy, not a lot of greens and the request for "spicy" wasn't followed up on. What a shame!

Doner kebab is full of vegetables that are way too big, hardly any meat, so it's probably something for vegans too.

The food itself is good, although there are weaknesses (brown edges on the green salad). You can tell that the employees don't speak German very well. The service could be a little more attentive and friendly. What really needs to be complained about: the dining tables in the seating area are always dirty!!! These could be cleaned with a clean one every now and then! rags to be cleaned!! Likewise, the toilet doors are always open! You go to the dirty table with your food and first see the toilet keys and get a nose full of toilet smell!! The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired! Not so appetizing.........

This was the best kebab I've ever had and everything else was incredibly tasty too.

The Amara is lovingly designed. You can stay there quietly whether inside or outside. The food tastes very good and is prepared with passion and skill. In terms of price it is the same as anywhere else in Freiburg. If you don't have much money, people are accommodating and will give you a discount for 2 falafels, for example. You stop by every time you're in town and you'll never be disappointed.

The vegan kebab is highly recommended, I will definitely come back!

I've been to this store a few times over the years. Two years ago I liked the shop even more and the meat wasn't so stingy. Now there are new employees, some of whom don't speak any German at all so you can't ask questions or make special requests. The portion of meat is far too small for the fact that the price has risen enormously. During my last visit I met the owner of the shop. When I spoke to the owner, the owner spat on my lips with his wet pronunciation and didn't even apologize. You can tell when talking to the owner that he only cares about profits. Unlikable guy. Customer satisfaction or a certain level of warmth are absent here. 3 stars for the taste, although I don't yet know whether flavor enhancers are used here, so unfortunately it only gets 2 stars from me. Sorry but the review has to be done to wake you up.

It was tasty but 10 euros is a bit too expensive for the size. In addition, the lettuce was already brown at the cuts. Beef was again very good!

Unfortunately I have to correct my good rating, the last visit was an absolute disaster! The meat of the kebab was black and completely burnt, and there were small stones in the salad. I ordered and paid with cheese, there was no cheese in the Yufka. The burnt meat was not very good for my health, I had diarrhea for 2 days. The employees smoke in front of the store. Never again!

It used to be really tasty at your place. But the standard seems different today... Vegan bowl with vegetables that are partly cold and far too hard. The hummus is watery and tastes boring. Tomatoes in salad are completely tasteless. The staff seems to have no idea what ingredients are used and can't answer questions. Tables are dirty, there was still half a pizza at the next table. There were also dirty dishes lying around. Lastly: the new kebab skewer was put on the grill with plastic foil to heat up. I don't want to know what all the plastic gets stuck in the meat.

Unfortunately very dirty and unhygienic, not nicely decorated. The flies are everywhere, it's best to add 0.50 cents and go around the corner. Service friendly.

The products in the salad bar generally look fresh and delicious. However, in terms of craftsmanship, the kebab I ordered was a disaster. The flatbread was so narrow that there was only meat on the bottom and only salad on the top. In addition, before the first bite, there were two holes in the bread where the sauce, which was too liquid, ran through. I actually wanted to take the kebab with me, but when I saw it I ate it straight away, which wasn't easy because it fell apart. Maybe you should show the employees again how to properly layer a kebab and make a nice product (plus I was the only guest). For the price charged, that's what I should expect as a customer.

No Go 1: Employee smokes in front of the store and throws butt on the floor. No Go 2: goes back inside and prepares food No Go 3: Demand for clean forks leads to wiping the used forks from the dishwasher with paper. Overall, the store looks shabby. Toilet broken, paper flying around on the floor, all tables not wiped. It was actually tasty, but the hygiene wasn't good at all.

@Amara are you serious and demand quality? The to-go kebab was completely burnt on the outside and there was soot everywhere. Not edible. Very disappointing.

Overall a good kebab shop. Some of the chicken was still a bit raw (salmonella!). It wasn't the first time that this happened either.

Der Beste Döner in Freiburg mit den nettesten Mitarbeitern würde auch 1 Stern mehr geben, wenn ich könnte.

Sehr leckerer Yufka mit Hähnchen-/Rindfleisch. Besonders lecker ist die Soße. Große Portionen, freundliches Personal! Für Vegetarier gibt es auch genügend Auswahl.

Habe über Lieferando bestellt. Pizza ist immer sehr lecker nur kam sie diesmal komplett zerstört an. Am Fahrer lag es nicht. Keine Ahnung was man mit einer Pizza machen muss damit sie so aussieht. Komplett vermatscht. Schade vielleicht achtet ihr in Zukunft darauf wie Ihr eure Speisen herausgebt.

Üppiger und leckerer Dönerteller.

Super Leckere Speisen, die frisch zubereitet werden. Große Portionen zu angemessenen Preisen. Personal ist freundlich und die Wartezeiten sind in Ordnung.

Sehr gute Auswahl für veganer und Schmackhafte vegane Gerichte. Was ich mich frage: Wieso kostet der vegane Döner so viel wie der mit Fleisch? Und: Wie kann es sein, dass es so oft (erlebe ich seit ca. einem Jahr) kein Fladenbrot gibt und die Kunden gezwungen sind, das teurere Yufka nehmen, obwohl es ein Versäumnis des Ladens ist? Würde mich sehr auf eine Antworten freuen!

Amara hat eigentlich ein ganz gutes Image in Freiburg als besonders hochwertiger Döner-Imbiss. Dementsprechend sind auch die Preise hoch. 9,50€ für einen Yufka mit Rindfleisch ist schon überdurchschnittlich. Wenn das Essen besonders gut schmeckt, die Zutaten hochwertig sind und der Service gut ist, bin ich gerne bereit das zu zahlen. Leider finde ich das Essen in keinem der Aspekte besonders überzeugend. Im Laden muss man sehr proaktiv auf die Mitarbeiter zugehen, da man manchmal nicht sonderlich beachtet wird, auch wenn man offensichtlich vor der Theke steht. Das Fleisch ist regional und unterscheidet sich von den üblichen Standardspießen anderer Imbisse, die oft weniger hochwertiges Hackfleisch verwenden. Geschmacklich finde ich den Yufka und Döner dort leider trotzdem nicht so gut. Das Rindfleisch ist nicht besonders zart, im Yufka ist etwas wenig Salat und wenn man nicht extra noch nach mehr Soße fragt, ist er auch relativ trocken.

Sehr geschmackvoll, aber 9,40 für einen Yufka ist schon echt heftig.

Wir kamen aufgrund veganer App vorbei und sind begeistert! Top vegane Auswahl und wirklich alles mega lecker. Im Bad überraschenderweise (unerwartet) ein Wickeltisch, liebevoll gestaltet mit Spieluhr. Das Baby bekam zudem eine ungesalzene Pommes. Ein Glückstreffer! :)

Essen war lecker! Ich hatte den veganen Döner bzw. Yufka - weil es leider, wie schon mehrfach erwähnt, kein Dönerbrot mehr gab. Es war mittags um halb 3. Außerdem gab es keine vegane Soße mehr. Das sollte nicht (mittags um halb 3) passieren und wenn doch, warum kann man keinen Nachschub liefern? Yufka mit Hummus ist dann leider etwas trocken, aber das vegane Seitanfleisch war saftig und würzig. Wir werden nochmal hingehen, hoffentlich gibt es dann Dönerbrot und vegane Soße! :)

Still best vegan Döner in town. Really friendly staff. Lots of vegan options and I quite like the outside seating. Unfortunately inside is less pleasurable (often boxes obstruct seats at the windows, bad mobile signal) and the toilets need a makeover.

Mega, nichts erwartet und mit unglaublich gutem fallafeltellergefülltem Bauch glücklich da in der Sonne rumgesessen. Ein Stern Abzug für die Fliegen bei der Geschirrrückgabe, aber da ist man ja wirklich nur weiter wenn man verboten viel Hunger hat. Würde wieder kommenwerde wieder kommen ganz bestimmt

Der Yufka ist lecker aber für 5,50€ einen Yufka wo so geizig beilagen reingemacht werden, ist es mir nicht ganz wert. Vor allem mit Tomaten. Eine halbe Tomatenscheibe, manchmal 2 halbe. Für den Preis einfach zu wenig.

Optisch deutlich schöner als manch anderer Dönerladen, weckt das Amara erwartungen an das Essen, die leider nicht erfüllt wurden. Unser Besuch auf verschiedene Empfehlungen hin hat mich leider gar nicht überzeugt. Zunächst mussten wir fast 15 Minuten warten, bis wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Vor uns waren zwei Kunden und hinter der Theke immer zwei bis drei Angestellte, die uns leider nicht das Gefühl gaben, willkommen zu sein. Ich hatte einen Humusteller und dazu eine Portion Pommes. Meine Begleitung einen anderen Teller und auch Pommes dazu. Beide Gerichte, von der Zusammenstellung, Größe und Preis echt ok, waren leider deutlich zu fettig, so dass die Freude beim Essen recht schnell verging. Dies betraf auch die Pommes, deren beide Portionen leider mit deutlichem zeitlichem Abstand fertig waren. Einige Monate zuvor, hatte ich mal einen Yufka zum mitnehmen, den man durchaus essen konnte. Vielleicht haben wir einfach einen schlechten Abend erwischt. Da könnte mehr gehen.

ケバブというと安くて早くて、だから少し汚くてもそれは誰も気にしない！というイメージですが、ここのケバブ屋さんはおしゃれで綺麗でケバブのイメージを大きく変えてくれます。包み紙も他のお店と違いしっかりとしていてスターバックスで売っているのでは？と思わせるほどです。野菜も生野菜だけでなく温野菜が選べます。元々別の場所にあったお店が繁盛して第二号店としてここにもオープンしたそうです。それくらい人気ではあります。 ただ、やはり。。。ケバブは安くないと！ ここのケバブは高すぎます！美しさやおしゃれさを必要としないならわざわざここに行かなくていいなって思ってしまいます。この程度の味なら他にいくらでもあるので。これで群を抜いて美味しいなら通うのかもしれませんが。

Selbst hergestellter Spieß, frisch gemachte Falafel und super Pizza. Sehr freundliches Personal. Ich esse hier immer gerne.

Wenn man den geschmacklich besten Döner in Freiburg will ist man hier richtig. (Es gibt auch sehr gute Pizzen)

Als wir unsere Tochter in Freiburg besuchten machten wir eine kleine Innenstadttour und bekamen nach einiger Zeit Hunger und meine Tochter empfahl uns zu diesem Döner-Restaurant zu gehen da einfach geniale Speisen wie leckere Falafel / Döner vegetarisch und vegan bzw auch mit Hühnchen + Kalbfleisch. Egal was auch bestellt wurde alle waren höchst zufrieden mit der Qualität und dem Geschmack :-) Sehr zu empfehlen für zwischendurch auf der Stadttour durch Freiburgs Innenstadt.
