Very rustic, great down-to-earth food

You will be welcomed directly by the staff in a friendly manner and with a smile, which will immediately make you feel at home. The meat of the venison goulash was tender and the sauce was aromatic. For dessert we had the Kaiserschmarrn, which also tasted really great. The portions are plentiful and you'll be full. Thanks for that ☺️!

Nice old pub. Great ambience. Super delicious food. Highly recommended cutlet, with a fat rim and fried in the pan. Small, cozy beer garden available.

The second time we came late again, after the kitchen had closed. But a solution was found the first time and today everything was still documented. But the chef found a solution so that we could take the super food take away, although otherwise you can only take it with you in your own bowls, as take away is not provided.

The ambience was very inviting, the service initially rustic. I don't understand why there is no 0.3 l glass for children but only 0.5 l. This only promotes the throwaway society. Cheese spaetzle could not be ordered as a children's portion, but rather it had to be an adult portion for the 4 year old. There was no children's menu as an alternative. I've never seen anything so lavish. Fried potatoes instead of fries was too much effort! The restaurant is really cozy and the food is very tasty but the inflexibility and waste is excessive.

Good German cuisine, rustic ambience and friendly service: everything was great! The map is clear but contains something for everyone. There were 12 of us, ages 6 to 60, and everyone was full and happy.

We tried the Altstadtklause Zirndorf based on the positive reviews and were not disappointed. The food was very good and the prices were absolutely justified. The service was quick and friendly. The dining room is a bit dark but very quaint. Just as one imagines a Franconian economy. The small beer garden has plenty of shade. Conclusion: Great economy with good food at fair prices. Gladly again!

We had liver dumpling soup as a starter, which was unfortunately a bit oily. The main course was Schäufale and duck with dumplings. It wasn't bad, the meat was soft and the dumplings were very fresh. However, the taste of the food is generally quite neutral. Price-performance ratio fits. Service was good. Ambience is also OK.

Quaint inn with solid food. I had a beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage, the children had a Viennese-style schnitzel with farmhouse fries. Good quality and good taste at fair prices.

It is a very good restaurant. We have tried many German places and this is one of the best. It is really recommended.

Great Franconian restaurant with a cozy beer garden. Service and boss very friendly and on the ball. From brawn to oven-fresh Schäufele, everything is available. Special days such as shashlik and stuffing day are also available. The beer is Augustiner.

We spontaneously went there for dinner with children - we really enjoyed the food. The service was very attentive and quick - what was a shame afterwards was that the clothes smelled strongly of grease.

Very rustic restaurant, super tasty food, large portions at very fair prices

We were in the Altstadtklausel yesterday. We had 2 Schäuferle, you couldn't chew the crust, the dumplings were watery and the sauce was so runny that you would have had to scoop it out with a spoon. Also without taste. Then they said there would be roast pork. My daughter took it. It was covered in fat and also had the same crust as Schäuferle. My daughter was just poking around in it. On the receipt there was no roast pork but rather roast suckling pig. We would never have ordered that. I'm annoyed that I didn't say anything there. But unfortunately the waitress was also very rude, that might not have helped anyway. Conclusion: Never again old town clause!!!!

Positively surprised by everything around it... You'll feel right at home there. Without much fancy. Great food, good selection of beers. Risk of recurrence very high!

We were there for the first time today and will definitely be back soon. Rustic atmosphere, very nice service and really good and above all sufficient food ☺️ all thumbs up! We also try out the beautiful beer garden in the summer.

Traditionelles und ursprüngliches Ambiente, wie der Name bereits andeutet. Gemütliches Zusammensitzen an rustikalen Echtholztischen umrahmt vom Flair des Fachwerks. Genau so, wie eine Kneipe in der fränkischen Bierkultur auszusehen hat. Die Wirtsleute sind sehr bemüht und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Getränkekarte sprengt zwar nicht den Rahmen, lässt aber unter dem Kontext einer Kneipe/Klause keine Wünsche offen. Wer also einen urgemütlichen Abend mit Freunden und/oder der Familie verbringen möchte, findet hier den perfekten Rahmen. Allerdings gut Essen, würden wir in Zukunft woanders hingehen. Weder Kaiserschmarrn, Cordon Bleu, Schnitzel oder Schaschlik konnten überzeugen. Schon gar nicht bei diesen Preisen. Dies fanden wir sehr schade, da wir uns zu diesem wirklich tollem Ambiente, auch ein wirklich tolles Schnitzel gewünscht hatten. Auf ein Bierchen kommen wir aber gerne wieder...... ;)

We were served very friendly straight away and the food was also okay, although quite small plate portions will result in higher prices in 2024. Coffee comes in tiny collectible cups. We have to wait and see how long we can still afford a restaurant. At home I had to eat my fill. The drinks are full to the brim. We'd love to stop by again in the area.

Sehr urig aber schön essen sehr lecker!

Altstadtklause, der Name ist Programm. Wunderschönes, gemütliches Ambiente. Lockere freundliche Bedienung. Die Gänsebrust war hervorragend. Das Augustiner Bräu München die Hausmarke, ich hatte ein Dunkles, ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Urig, gemütlich, zünftig.... Bitte auch unter der Woche unbedingt reservieren!

Fränkisches Essen vom Feinsten.... Wer traditionelle fränkische Küche liebt ist hier genau richtig

Hatte mich sehr auf mein Schäufele gefreut, aber leider war es zäh und auch schwer zum schneiden. Knödel und Salat waren gut. Bedienung nett aber der Kommentar war dann nur gebe es an die Küche weiter und habe das halbe Schäufele zurückgehen lassen.

Wir sind hier immer sehr zufrieden, das Essen ist unglaublich lecker und das Bier sau gut.

Suuuuper gute Schäuferle, tolles Ambiente, so richtig zum wohl fühlen und supertolle Musik im Hintergrund. Sehr nettes Personal und ein gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. TOP!

Sehr leckeres Schäuferla. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und urig. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und wurden schnell bedient. Die Mitarbeiterin hätte dennoch etwas freundlicher sein können. Hier fehlte mir die etwas die Gastfreundlichkeit.

Urige Gaststätte, sehr netter Service und natürlich sehr gute regionale Speisen. Waren 11.10.23 mit der Familie dort essen und können es weiterempfehlen

Wir waren im Urlaub und zu Gast dort mit Kind und Baby und sind freundlich bedient worden. Kinderstuhl vorhanden und das Essen war super. Empfehlung☺️

Gutbürgerliche fränkische Küche, Essen war sehr gut, nette Bedienung!

Leider waren wir bei unserem Besuch etwas enttäuscht. Erst wurden wir nicht richtig wahr genommen, dann kam das falsche Essen. Und an sich hat allem der pfiff gefehlt.

So leckere bodenständige Küche, herzliches Personal, passt alles rundherum :-)

Super leckeres Essen, sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung, Kinder sind hier sehr willkommen und werden auch schneller bedient. Vor allem die Käsespätzle und die saure Leber waren hervorragend. Gerne wieder. Parkplätze direkt daneben.

Schnitzel war sehr gut, statt Pommes gibt es Wedges die auch lecker waren und kräftig gewürzt. Beilagensalat leider nur Krautsalat und grüne Bohnen mit sehr wenig Eisbergsalat und einem Tomatenschnitz. Das war etwas enttäuschend. Der Biergarten ist leider sehr klein und etwas spartanisch.

Me alojé en zirndorf durante gran parte del verano y fui aquí varias veces a cenar. Severs amables que decían que entendían inglés limitado pero parecían entenderlo todo. Mi esposa dijo que su Spatzle de queso era el mejor que había probado en su vida, y aunque no hay menú para niños, servirán una porción más pequeña (Kleine) si se le pide, y es un cargo menor. Buenas cervezas disponibles. Los viernes por la noche tienen un elemento especial de menú de brocheta que fue excelente.

Se non parlare perfettamente tedesco non venite qui. La cameriera non è disponibile a dare informazioni in inglese sul menù scritto in tedesco,di nessun tipo,nonostante alcuni piatti non siano traducibili. Ordiniamo Natural water per i bimbi e porta acqua gasata:facendole notare l errore,alza le spalle e non cambia il bicchiere. chiediamo di cambiare l insalata di patate,la risposta è che non è possibile,ma al tavolo a fianco la modifica viene fatta. Chiediamo birra non filtrata,arriva una filtrata. Piatti mal presentati ed eccessivamente salati. Ciliegina,che ci fa arrabbiare tantissimo:il conto scritto su un post it,più alto del dovuto di oltre 13 euro rispetto ai prezzi scritti in menù.

Estuve aquí por una cerveza y algo de comida. Agradable pub con cocina real y honesta Frankisch. Gran asperges con buen Frankisch Wurst. Buen servicio, ambiente acogedor. Precios que son realmente asequibles. Lugar ocupado que solo acepta efectivo. Vale intentarlo.
