Alter Markt in Bernburg (Saale)

Waren zu zweit dort um Bernburger Zwiebelklump zu probieren. Sehr lecker! Gaststätte kann man sehr empfehlen!

Ungerne bewerte ich negativ, weil eine Ansprache vor Ort - was ich auch getan habe - sein muss. Ich hatte mir Spargel mit Schnitzel bestellt für rd. € 25. Das Schnitzel war sehr lecker, die fehlende Zitrone wurde mir auf Nachfrage noch gebracht. Spargel (4 Stangen) recht übersichtlich, 2 Kartoffelhälften ebenfalls. Aber: Über dem Spargel war - ungefragt - sowohl Sauce Hollandaise als auch Butter mit Semmelbröseln und Dillkraut. Auf Nachfrage warum das so serviert wird wurde mir begegnet dass die Gäste das so mögen. Mir hat es jedenfalls nicht geschmeckt was ich auch gesagt habe. Aufgegessen hab ich nur weil ich grossen Hunger nach 100 km mit dem Fahrrad hatte. Und richtig satt geworden bin ich auch nicht. Und zum Ambiente: es war eine Gruppe von 5 Personen dort die sich laut unterhalten und einen Videocall auf laut gestellt hatten. Die Bedienung hatte ich angesprochen Sie hat es auch mitbekommen aber nichts unternommen.

Wir sitzen gerade im Ausenbereich und die Kellnerin möchte uns da nicht bedienen, da sie befürchtet wegen des leichten Regens nass und letztendlich krank zu werden. Wir haben uns unsere Getränke selbst geholt und natürlich für diesen super Service auch den vollen Preis bezahlt.. Weiter so. es läuft 👍👍👍🤮

Nach einer sehr guten Bewertung, folgt leider eine schlechte! Sorry für die Bearbeitung, zwecks einer einzigen Bedienung ( selber als Restaurantfachfrau tätig), aber wenn man mehrmals mit einer Bedienung schlechte Erfahrung gemacht hat , muss dies geteilt werden. Ein Fisch hat nur ein Filet! Deshalb teuer 🤣 soljanka kalt weil ??? Immer kalt ! 18 Uhr - nur 2 Hefeweizen - bin allein - geht net schneller ! 19.50 Uhr- gibt es noch etwas zu essen ( wirklich sehr nett und freundlich gefragt) - nein !!!! Wir haben die Küche schon 3 mal geschlossen und wieder geöffnet weil immer noch Leute kommen ! Also - wir sind nett - bestellen nix und haben für alles Verständnis- aber die Gäste die nach uns kommen , bekommen die Speisekarte und etwas zu essen! Fazit ! Gehe zu Reimanns und bestell nen fischbrötchen und soleier- bist besser dran !

Das Einzige Gute an diesem Restaurant war der Kellner nett, höflich und einsichtig! Die Bruschetta kam auf einem dreckigen Teller an den Tisch und war so lieblos angerichtet, dass man keine Lust hatte, sie zu essen – eher zu bestatten. Das Schnitzel war offensichtlich bereits vorher paniert und gebraten worden und wurde dann nur noch aufgewärmt. Die Blumenkohl-Brokkoli-Ecken waren Tiefkühlware und zudem viel zu lange frittiert. Die Erbsen wirkten, als wären sie lieblos aus der Dose gefallen und auf unseren Tellern gestorben. Siehe Bilder !!!! Jegliche Einsicht des Chefs oder Kochs (nach eigener Aussage „gelernter Koch und Ausbilder“ – mit Sicherheit nicht!) blieb natürlich aus. Er bestand darauf, dass Schnitzel und Erbsen frisch und von bester Qualität seien. Dieser Laden wird uns definitiv nie wiedersehen! P.S.: Ich habe selbst 30 Jahre Erfahrung in der Gastronomie und ein Restaurant besessen. Wenn ich sage, das war nichts, dann ist das auch nichts ! Er kann den Kommentar auch gern löschen wie die anderen 100 vor meinem!!!!

Wir waren heute zu dritt Mittag essen. Wir hatten tolles Essen, sind total satt geworden! Vorspeisen: Knoblauchstulle, Würzfleisch und Bernburger Zwiebelklump! Hauptspeisen: Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln, Königsberger Klöße und Waldauer Leberpfanne. Königsberger herrlich weich und Leber schön zart! Ein Gedicht! Und die Remoulade zur Sülze...ein Träumchen! Die Bedienung höflich und schnell! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ich bin begeistert. Was für eine köstliche regionale Kost. Der Zwiebelklumpen war einfach Spitze. Service sehr nett, Ambiente urig. Wir kommen wieder! Weiter so !

Schon vor 35 Jahren habe ich hier meine Einschulung gefeiert. Und heute? Heute war Montags zur Mittagszeit essen. Absolut klasse und empfehlenswert. Leckere Hausmannskost und wirklich ausreichende Portionen. Klare Empfehlung!

Die Portionen waren groß genug aber mir, die eigentlich gerne salzig isst, war es alles viel zu salzig. Ich hatte das Schnitzel mit Champignonssauce und Pommes Die Sauce war so salzig, ich konnte irgendwann nicht mehr weiter essen. Drinnen war es sehr gemütlich aber irgendwas scheint mit der Dunstabzugshaube nicht zu stimmen, es hat sehr stark im Gastraum nach Gebratenem gerochen. Dementsprechend auch die Sachen und Haare. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und schnell.

Wir wurden nett und zuvorkommend bedient .Das Personal und der Chef waren sehr herzlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen . Das Essen war äußerst schmackhaft und die Portionen perfekt.

We've eaten at this lovely restaurant many times, and the food has always been excellent. This time we celebrated a milestone birthday and ordered a buffet. While the rating system only allows for 5 stars, we'd give it 10! The personal consultation was fantastic, the suggestions were excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the delivery was superb. We've been here twice in a row, and the food was delicious each time. The "Würzfleisch" schnitzel (approx. €23) is highly recommended – unfortunately, the portions aren't particularly large, especially with the Thuringian Rostbrätel (approx. €18). The solyanka (approx. €7) and the Würzfleisch (approx. €8) were very good. Reservations are recommended when the weather is nice, otherwise the outdoor seating area isn't very inviting. The service was good, but unfortunately, you sometimes had to wait a bit longer.

I wasn't that impressed with the food. I had pork knuckle aspic with fried potatoes. These were the best part of the meal. The aspic was disappointing. It didn't taste like pork knuckle at all, just a very soft jelly and lots of vegetables. The ambiance was very nice and rustic, and the service was very friendly.

We were cycling through the beautiful Lower Saale Valley last week; we stopped here spontaneously in the evening. A great decision! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful! The food was truly delicious, so we came back twice. We sat outside and enjoyed it! The interior design was explained to us nicely upon request – fantastic! The value for money is also absolutely spot on. A visit to Alter Markt is definitely worth it – we'd love to come back!

We dropped in spontaneously. We didn't have a reservation but still got a table for 6. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was served quickly. A good portion size and very tasty. It was very child-friendly: they gave us a sweet treat on a straw, in our case apple rings. There was also a memory card to color in to keep the kids entertained. Conclusion: We'll be back.

I've been to this lovely restaurant several times and I have to say the food is great. The same can't be said for the service. The staff is usually unfriendly, making you feel completely unwelcome. This time we simply left; nobody cares. We then went to another restaurant in Bernburg (a 7-minute walk away). We were extremely satisfied there. I don't think we'll be returning to the Alter Markt restaurant.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the quality or quantity of the restaurant, as it never came to that. I was in Bernburg with my husband and was enjoying a lovely day when I started to feel a little peckish. So we decided to visit the 'Alter Markt' restaurant in Bernburg. A sign outside said it was open until 2 p.m. It was 1:20 p.m. when we entered the restaurant and politely asked the waitress if it was still possible to get something to eat. A polite or friendly reminder of the short time remaining would have been perfectly fine, so we could have had a drink and been fine. Instead, we were informed that they were closing at 2 p.m. with a roll of our eyes and in a tone I wouldn't even use with my most disliked colleague. The "friendliness" is truly heartwarming and something you don't see anywhere else – irony aside. What a shame!

We were in this restaurant for the first time. It was outstanding. You immediately notice that you are welcome. Be it the always friendly smile of the waitress (do they still say that today?) or the excellent cuisine. Everything just fit together perfectly. Fresh products, a 1A seasoned meat that I have never eaten before... We had a very nice evening with you. We've been eating here for many years and - admittedly - a few years ago it wasn't really recommended for a while... It's completely different today! The food is super tasty, the prices are moderate. The owner and the employees are super nice and friendly and even have a little fun. :) And by the way: These were my best fries in a long time 🥲 really crispy and perfectly seasoned 💜 All in all, really recommended again!!!

I am very disappointed, prices are way too high. The portions are way too small. My fries tasted burnt and the schnitzel was so thin that you could hardly see any schnitzel. We also reordered drinks that were simply forgotten.

The food is of “snack quality”, quickly made from ready-made products and tastes okay. The portion is mediocre. The ambience would be nicer without so much kitsch stuff. You should also make sure to sort out broken dishes.

When some people here talk about craftsmanship when it comes to cooking, they have no idea. There was nothing of craftsmanship there, it was a good snack but nothing more.

Today we were at the "Old Market" and just wanted to have a coffee in the bright sunshine. We quickly found a spot in the sun. The table and benches were full of dust, so people smeared things with it. Customer-friendly is probably different.

Der junge Chef ist mit Leib und Seele nicht nur ein hervorragender Koch sondern kann auch seine Gäste in dieser Zeit sich heimisch fühlen kann. Egal zum Mittagessen , Abendessen oder einfach nur mal so zwischendurch . Wer dieses Haus des Gastes NICHT kennt hat was verpasst . Auch andere Gäste sind der Meinung das BESTE im ganzen Umfeld . Also erleben und so kommt man auch GERNE wieder .

The food in the “Old Market” tastes very good, although the portions have become smaller. The service, very friendly and above all very fast👍 I found the fact that it's only open until 9 p.m. on Saturdays to be very unusual and takes some getting used to, but that's probably why we've already had experience and perhaps longer opening times aren't worth it in Bernburg, which I find to be a shame because the restaurant is really good.

I wanted to inquire whether my club's general meeting could be held at the location. Before I could explain further, I was told in a very unfriendly tone that we would just sit around without anything to eat or drink and that we would then have to pay the heating costs. It obviously didn't occur to the owner that we also eat when we visit a restaurant. (It was a given for me) It's a shame that you may have had such experiences, but that's not how you treat potential customers. We have learned from this and will not contact you again in the future. After all, we don’t want heating costs to go over your head.

Location really good, service friendly...warm drinks, long wait for food and unfortunately it wasn't tasty either. At this price I expect e.g. B. no schnitzel from the deep fryer.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise für zwei Tage in Bernburg. Zum Abendessen bestellen wir in dem Restaurant Kesselgulasch und Rostbrätel. Die Gerichte wurden umgehend, ansprechend auf den Tellern drapiert, serviert. Selbst ein kleiner Blütenzweig auf den Tellern fehlte nicht. So wie der optische Eindruck war, schmeckte es auch, hervorragend! Die Bedienung war flink, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Endlich mal ein Restaurant wo die Kellnerin und der Koch noch ihr Handwerk verstehen. Dabei waren die Preise moderat. Vielen Dank!

Unfortunately it's a catastrophe, the food is simply unfashionable and the price/performance ratio is absolutely not right / simply outrageous, ready-made sauces, canned mushrooms, ready-made dressing, the salad comes with a whopping slice of baguette, and unfortunately the chicken also died three times then taking €16 is unbelievable!! Toilet lid for the ladies simply cannot be used, completely yellowed!! I would have liked to rate it better because the lady from the service really made an effort, the fact that something like this still exists today and is supported is simply unbelievable!!!! A pity

Overloaded decoration throughout the place.. artificial flowers on the table.. it doesn't work at all. everything seems dusty and old-fashioned.. the food was a bit 80s... croquettes, peas.. no sauce or salad.. and not seasoned.. and Not worth the money...so we won't go there anymore

Hello, I wanted to have lunch at 11:30 a.m. but was turned away. Very rude, I then left. The tables were all still free. You won't see me there again.

When I visited, the service was a bit overwhelmed. The food was tasty and with a little initiative we didn't have to die of thirst.

Went there for Christmas dinner and chose the duck breast. The menu said it had crispy skin, but that wasn't the case. I'm actually not the type to look for a fly in the ointment. In the end I was very disappointed.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Die Qualität meines Essens war gut. Was aber gar nicht geht: Die Preise auf der Speisekarte, die im Internet veröffentlicht wird, weichen stark von dem ab, was dann tatsächlich berechnet wird. So kostet das Leber-Gericht gleichmal 23% mehr (15,90 €), als auf der Internet-Karte (12,90 €) ausgewiesen wird. Klar kann man argumentieren, dass heute alles teurer geworden ist; die durchschnittliche Teuerungsrate liegt allerdings derzeit bei 10%. Nichtsdestotrotz wäre es einfach fair, die aktuellen Preise im Internet zu kommunizieren. Wer darin Erfahrung hat, schafft das in wenigen Minuten. Wer nicht, der lässt die Preise einfach weg. Ein Marktteilnehmer könnte nämlich sonst auf die Idee kommen, hier unlauteren Wettbewerb einzuklagen!!! Denkt mal drüber nach!

Super leckeres Essen, megafreundliche Biedienung und tolles Ambiente.

Katastrophe, weder ein Salat noch sonst eine Garnitur gab es dazu. Hähnchen süß sauer bestand aus fünf Kroketten dem Hänchensteak und einem Löffel Letscho aus dem Glas und dafür 18€. Fazit einmal und nie wieder.

Was für ein Glück, dass dieses Restaurant auch am Montag geöffnet hat. Der Service war superfreundlich und das Essen ganz genauso wie man es in einem gutbürgerlichen Restaurant erwarten kann. Eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man es etwas rustikaler mag.
