The food tasted great, the service was very nice and friendly, and a very good atmosphere to feel good and relax

So I have to say, we were very dissatisfied! The food bordered on outrageous, as did the prices! I'm happy to pay €18 for a schnitzel, but then I also demand that it be good and fresh meat! The sauce tasted like some kind of ready-made stuff and it was €5.60!!! Spezi was stale and anything but edible. The waitresses were still very friendly, and the atmosphere itself was very inviting.

We sat in the glass veranda in front of the restaurant, where the ambience is rather simple, but inside it is rustic and nicer. My paprika schnitzel was very tasty and large. The price at €13.90 is more than OK. Unfortunately there are only 2 vegetarian dishes, but the vegetable platter with fried eggs and French fries was also very tasty and also cheap at €11.90. The restaurant was busy on Saturday lunchtime and we had to wait a little for the food, but the service was very friendly. The toilets are clean.

Showed up there at lunchtime with 11 motorcyclists. I asked beforehand by phone whether the opening times were still correct, but didn't make a reservation straight away. Nevertheless, they had taken precautions and set a large table that was very inviting. No Exuberant menu, but delicious “home cooking+”. Particularly recommended: sour meat with fried potatoes, goulash with dumplings and farmer's breakfast. Freshly made, fried potatoes even a little crispy. Very nice and quick working staff. Opening hours: really 7 days, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m., small but understandable restriction: 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. only 2 dishes to choose from, as preparatory work in the kitchen takes place during this time. We were so excited that we stopped there again for lunch four days later on the way back. Marked locally in my maps. From us overall or 5+

The farmer's breakfast for €12.90 was huge and tasted okay. I had wished for a little more flavor, salt and pepper were available on the table so all was well. Something was wrong with the colas. Little carbon dioxide and somehow watered down taste despite the original Coca Cola bottles on the counter. The toilets could use an update. Very nice and courteous service. Great outdoor seating in the winter garden and very beautiful green sheltered garden.

Actually, I've always been a big fan of this restaurant. But today they didn't even want to serve us or prepare anything at 7:30 p.m., even though it's open until 10 p.m. It's a shame, but some people seem to be doing too well these days.

We arrived before opening time, but were greeted very friendly and were able to take a seat. The food was very good and very plentiful. It was a good end to our day trip.

Unfortunately, we were also turned away very unfriendly.

Because of the positive reviews, we spontaneously decided to have lunch for the three of us today at the Old Dragoon Restaurant. Two very friendly and attentive service staff served us in the winter garden. We were welcomed by a friendly and good-humored team in a rustic atmosphere. The fireplace crackled and provided cozy warmth after a hike in nearby Lewitz. There were lots of photos from the old days to discover on the walls. The dishes (farmer's breakfast, sour meat and schnitzel "Viennese style") were served quickly, in large portions and deliciously prepared. The salad side dishes were sumptuous and the coleslaw with dill was absolutely brilliant, the fried potatoes were first class and the schnitzel was beautifully tender. The price for food, service and ambience is more than fair. Here you can get home cooking at a good price. We would like to thank the team, recommend the restaurant without reservation and look forward to the next meal.

I stopped here on a city trip and immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is pleasantly friendly, the service is quick and attentive. The menu only offers German dishes that you rarely find anymore. The portions are filling and taste really delicious. In terms of price, it's definitely okay for what you get. The restaurant is highly recommended. One or two dishes are also offered cheaper at lunchtime.

Leckeres Essen immer, absolut fairer Preis, netter wirklich guter Service egal wie voll es ist und es ist oft sehr gut besucht. Jedoch dadurch auch nichts zum ausführen oder mal gemütlich entspannt essen zumeist, da oft wie geschrieben sehr gut besucht und etwas laut dadurch. Viele Firmen feiern, Geburtstage und andere große Anlässe werden dort zelebriert und wir ich mitbekomme sehr zufriedenstellend. Aber eher etwas Jammern auf hohen Niveau von mir.

Bevor wir (7 Angler) nach Norwegen weiterfahren kehren wir schon seit über 10 Jahren (auf Vorbestellung) in diesem netten Lokal ein. Sehr lecker aber nicht aufgeführt ist die "Scharfe Sache" mit Gurkensalat.

Essen und Service ohne Probleme. Einige kleine Änderungen, EC-Kartenzahlung, auch Reparaturen etc. im Bereich der Toilette (sehr viele Spinnen) würden dem Ambiente helfen.

Wir haben uns für das Restaurant entschieden nachdem wir die positiven Rezensionen gelesen hatten. Auch wir haben hier hervorragend zu Abend gegessen, wurden freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Sehr gerne werden wir hier wieder essen gehen.

Die Portionen sind schon ordentlich und der Preis entsprechend, aber zusammen ist das durchaus gerechtfertigt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und mehr als pappsatt.

Kleinen Salat mit Putenstreifen bestellt . Serviert wurde ein groser !! Servicekraft darauf angesprochen! Trotzdem wurde ein großer Salat berechnet! Pure Abzocke und KEINE Entschuldigung vom Service !! Hat sehr nachgelassen. Essen wie in einer Kantine und zu teuer !!!!

Für den kleinen Hungen zwischendurch gibt es hier riesige Portionen. Wir hatten ein Bauernfrühstück und einen Gemüseteller mit 2 Spiegeleiern, beides war einfach lecker.

Fries were cheap frozen ones. Soggy and not salted. The Schnitzels we ordered were a far cry from crispy and dunked in the sauce. The atmosphere and staff are very nice, but damn, every corner fast food joint has better Schnitzels and fries for less money.

Sind hier im Urlaub und haben über Google das Restaurant gefunden... Rezessionen waren durchweg positiv.... Ambiente und Service ließ wirklich nichts zu wünschen übrig. Aber das Essen.... Naja.... Gulasch war nicht warm und das Schnitzel war in Ordnung....Aber kein rausreisser...... 3,50 für extra champignonsoße(champis kamen aus der Dose)..... Sehr überteuert..... Für diese Preise sind wir in Bayern wirklich was anderes gewohnt... Getränkepreise sind sehr hoch... 5,60 für ein Bier..... Keine Ahnung warum es in dieser Region so überteuert ist....

Leider nicht zu empfehlen Online karte vorher geschaut und vom Kellner zuhören bekommen,seit 10 Jahren nicht geändert Essen ist altbacken, Schnitzel komplett Tod, Einrichtung stehen geblieben, Gläser von vor 40 Jahren usw..

Das Essen, wir hatten die Schnitzel gewählt, (Hamburger und Zigeuner) waren super lecker und zart. Können wir weiter empfehlen. Das Personal war auch sehr aufmerksam und mega nett. Wir saßen im Wintergarten, was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Fazit: Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit leckerem Essen in einem netten Ambiente mit tollem Personal. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten uns anhand der guten Bewertungen sehr auf den Besuch im Alten Dragoner gefreut. Das Ambiente war auch toll, die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich und Hilfsbereit, so weit so toll. Das bestellte Essen war dann leider eher untere Mittelklasse: Dosen-champignons und TK-Fleisch, Haette mir echt mehr erhofft, speziell bei den Guten Bewertungen und der urigen Inneneinrichtung. Fazit: Der Bauch ist voll, das Essen war Ok, weiterempfehlen tu ich mir allerdings hart.

Eigentlich hätten wir uns denken können, dass am Sonntag fast alle Tisch um die Mittagszeit schon besetzt sind. Aber die freundliche, umsichtige und fleißige Dame im Service (hat das Restaurant ganz allein bedient) fand trotzdem einen Platz für uns. Die Getränke und Speisen kamen zügig, Die Küche ist weitestgehend mecklenburgisch und in jedem Fall köstlich. Der gefüllte Rippenbraten bot die typischen Kontraste von süß und salzig. Wer bereit ist, das Zählen der Kalorien für die Dauer seines Besuches auszusetzen, hat seine wahre Freude - auch wenn die Rechnung mit den fairen Preisen kommt. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder.

Meine Eltern gehen wöchentlich zum Alten Dragoner. Und wenn ich sie besuche möchte ich auch dorthin. Die Soljanka ist sehr lecker. Das Tagesgericht ist manchmal schon um 12:30Uhr ausverkauft, aber auch das Essen a la carte ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Bewertung von Stephan S. kann ich genau so bestätigen. Wenn man in einem rustikalen Restaurant gut, preiswert essen und dabei noch satt werden will, ist man hier bestens aufgehoben. Auch die Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich! Einziger Nachteil, mit meinen Besuchen um 20:00 h war ich bereits kurz vor Küchenschluß da. (Vermutlich Nebensaison und Besuche unter der Woche.) Wenn ich aus Mittelfranken wieder mal den hohen Norden besuche, werde ich im alten Dragoner sicher einfallen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Abende!!! jh

Eher durch Zufall sind meine Frau und ich nach Ludwigslust abends zum Essen gefahren, weil wir im Nachbarort Neustadt-Glewe am Tag unserer Anreise nichts passendes gefunden gefunden hatten. Von außen eher unscheinbar hat es uns trotzdem in den Alten Dragoner verschlagen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich, das Lokal selbst in die Jahre gekommen aber sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die angebotenen Gerichte bewegen sich im Bereich "gut bürgerlich", "Regionale Gerichte" und "bodenständige Hausmannskost". Die Portionen machen auch hungrige Esser satt, wunderbare Bratkartoffeln und wirklich sehr moderate Preise. Von 6 Urlaubstagen sind wir letztlich an 4 Tagen dort essen gewesen, haben verschiedene Gerichte ausprobiert und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Wir können das Lokal vorbehaltslos weiterempfehlen!

Dette sted har schnitzeldag om onsdagen. Vi var der lørdag. De schnitzler vi fik, var tydeligvis stegte om onsdagen og varmet i mikroen til os Gråt og kedeligt kød uden den specielle skorpe, schnitzler skal have. Ikke godt nok. Vores forret var stegt camembert, der ikke var varm nok til at være flydende. Ikke godt nok. Øllet var dog dejligt. Desuden kunne vi kun betale kontant - i 2018!

Bei unserem Besuch in Ludwigslust sind wir hier eingekehrt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Essen sehr gut. Wir brauchten nicht lange warten.
