Donnerstag Abend - nicht viel los - Mann hinterm Biertresen sehr nett - Bedienung kennt den Begriff Dienstleistung nicht und das spiegelt sich zum Abendessen wieder - Schade, da der Blick und der Laden potential hat - aber nicht mit der Bedienung

Sehr gutes Essen, und gut Zubereitet. Alle sind Satt geworden und die Getränke waren auch sehr gut und es gab viel Auswahl

Herrliche Aussicht von der Terrasse! Die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl und beinhaltet deutsche Gerichte, die man sonst nur zu Hause bekommt. Ich hatte Fisch (der nicht ganz meinen Geschmack traf), aber alle anderen Fleischgerichte, die ich probiert habe, waren ausgezeichnet.

Eine sehr nette rustikale Gaststätte. Service stimmt , Preis 🪎 Leistung auch.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen.Wir wurden schon das zweite Mal enttäuscht.Wollten heute vor dem Sommertheater gemütlich Essen gehen und hatten einen Tisch für 17 Uhr 30 bestellt.18Uhr 45 hatten wir unser bestelltes Essen immer noch nicht.Wir haben darauf hin unser Essen storniert und die Getränke bezahlt.Und wir waren nicht die Einzigen unser Nebentisch mit 6 Personen tat das Gleiche.Unverständlich für uns, wir werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

Das Essen war absolut furchtbar! Wir hatten Burger und Schnitzel bestellt, mussten aber aufgeben. Es schmeckte einfach nur widerlich. Der Service war zudem langsam und unaufmerksam. Der Weißwein war lauwarm und enthielt ein Haar. Die Biere, die wir probierten, waren langweilige Sorten, die man in jedem Supermarkt bekommt. Die Aussicht war zwar schön, aber sparen Sie sich das Geld und gehen Sie lieber woanders essen, wo es auch etwas zu essen gibt.

Wir hatten reserviert, auf Nachfrage durften wir uns dann an einen besseren Platz setzen. Der Ausblick war wunderbar. Die Kellnerin war sehr direkt, etwas was nicht Jedem gefällt. Wir haben dann lange auf das Essen gewartet, obwohl es unter der Woche war. Die Portionen waren angemessen für den Preis, leider war eine meiner Hähnchenlebern nicht richtig geputzt und damit bitter. Alles in Allem hatten wir eine gute Zeit dort und kommen gerne wieder um die Bewertung zu verbessern. Ps: Wer hat eigentlich die Texte von der Karte geschrieben? Ich finde sie nicht zum Ambiente passend, ist aber nicht tragisch 😅

Wir hatten am Samstag einen Tisch bestellt. Auf Nachfrage konnten wir uns umsetzen, da die Sonne noch heftig brannte. Das Ambiente im Außenbereich war dürftig, keine Salz/Pfeffer Combi auf dem Tisch und trotz der sengenden Hitze waren die großen Schirme zusammengeklappt!! Das Essen war ok. Das Personal war nett, aber auch sehr gestresst!!

Das Essen war recht gut. Die Bedienung kann sich noch verbessern. Es hat schon recht lange gedauert bis die Bedienung da war.

Enttäuschender Restaurantbesuch. Das Essen war von schlechter Qualität und geschmacklich nicht überzeugend. Der Service war mittelmäßig und wenig aufmerksam. Insgesamt keine Erfahrung, die ich wiederholen möchte. Leider nicht empfehlenswert.

Zentral gelegenes Restaurant mit tollem Ausblick von der Terrasse. Das Schnitzel mit Spargel, Sauce Hollandaise und Kroketten war frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Wir kommen gerne wieder – verdiente 5 Sterne!

Ich empfehle fürs Abendessen einen Tisch zu reservieren. Das klappt telefonisch hervorragend. Bestätigung per SMS kommt prompt. Man kann drinnen oder draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen. Wir hatten einen Tisch mit traumhaften Ausblick auf die Brücke. Essen war sehr lecker. Service topp! Ich komme sehr gern wieder.

Wir waren heute da . Vielen dank an das nette Service Team das uns heute 15 Minuten hat warten lassen.Bestellung war nicht möglich denn Es fühlte sich irgendwie keiner zuständig für uns. Obwohl Service an uns oft vorbei lief. Wir sind dann nach der Zeit wieder gegangen. Schade.

Wir haben mittags ohne Probleme einen Tisch bekommen. Das Essen war ganz gut. Meine Rinderroulade war leider etwas fest und trocken. Das Radio war für unseren Eindruck etwas zu laut. Die Aussicht nach draußen war schön.

Essen war Durchschnitt. Kindergericht auf einem Plastikteller als Fertiggericht... Bierauswahl ist sehr gut, Hausbier ist sehr gut. Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Schöne Einrichtung. Leider lange Wartezeiten auf das Essen (50 Minuten). Hatten in der Zeit unsere Getränke schon ausgedrunken. Es kam keiner vorbei, um zu fragen, ob wir noch etwas haben wollen oder zum Abräumen. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns unhöflich geantwortet. Das Essen war okay für seinen Preis. Bei dem Schnitzel rot/ weiß, wurde die Mayo und der Ketchup vergessen. Sadly long waiting time. We where waiting for 50 minutes to get our food. The Service was not good (unfriendly), nobody ask if we want some more to drinks or if we ask they answer quiet rude. They forgot the tomato sauce for the French fries. The food (for the price) was okay.

Wir waren super zufrieden. Ambiente ist toll und die Bedienung sehr nett. Das Essen ist üppig für einen mehr als fairen Preis. Da sind andere Restaurants in der Nähe, echt teurer. Es hat uns allen gut geschmeckt und wir sind satt geworden.

Mit der Ankündigung in der Speisekarte wird eine gewisse Erwartungshaltung aufgebaut. Diese hat das Gericht nicht erfüllt. Ein "knuspriges Schnitzel" ist frisch gebraten und und nicht wabbelig aufgewärmt oder aus der Microwelle.

Sehr rustikal mit gemütlichen Ambiente. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Service war sehr freundlich. Parkplatz musste gesucht werden in der Stadt, dafür etwas Zeit einplanen😉

Das Alter Bierhof hat eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf den Fluss und die Türme. Selbst tagsüber kann man dank der großen Sonnenschirme angenehm im Schatten sitzen. Heute haben wir Rinderzunge mit Spargel gegessen – wirklich ausgezeichnet. Auch die Bierauswahl ist sehr gut. Wenn man sich nicht entscheiden kann, empfiehlt es sich, ein Probierbrett mit fünf verschiedenen Bieren à 100 ml zu bestellen. So findet man schnell seinen Favoriten. Bei gutem Wetter ist die Atmosphäre einfach großartig. Innen erwartet einen ein klassisches, gemütliches deutsches Ambiente mit viel Charme.

So eine süße, tolle Gaststätte mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und aufgemacht + sehr leckeres Essen. Wunderbarer Ausblick. Nur der Kellner passte leider gar nicht zum Ambiente. Kühl und sehr kurz angebunden. Man hatte das Gefühl man nervt ein bisschen. Etwas schade, da es sonst wirklich so toll war und nicht so richtig zu diesem besonderen Restaurant passte. Trotzdem würden wir es auf jeden Fall sehr weiter empfehlen, wenn man nicht auf der Suche nach 0-8-15, sondern etwas regional wirklich Hübschem und Besonderem sucht. Besser hätten wir nicht sitzen können.

Es war sehr lecker, doch wir mussten 50 Minuten auf unser Essen warten, was sehr bedauerlich war, da uns zugesichert wurde, dass das Essen schnell auf dem Tisch stehen würde. Das Essen war lecker.

Wir hatten einen rundum großartigen Aufenthalt im Alten Bierhof in Bautzen! Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön – eine gelungene Mischung aus traditionellem Charme und gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend: frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der aufmerksame und freundliche Service, der keine Wünsche offenlässt. Man merkt sofort, dass hier viel Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft gelegt wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können den Alten Bierhof uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren zu zweit an einem Dienstag dort essen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente! Bei schönem Wetter kann man auch auf der Terrasse sitzen mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf Bautzen ! Dort gehen wir sicher mal wieder hin!

Ausgezeichnet lecker & preiswert speisen kann man im Bautzener „Alten Bierhof“ in der Heringstraße. Der volle Gastraum, welcher uns samstags erwartete, zeugt zudem vom guten Ruf des Restaurants. Da wir reserviert hatten, war das also kein Problem für uns. Dank freundlichem & flinkem Personal erfolgte die Bedienung recht zügig und wir konnten so zeitnah einen Haus-Burger, ein Senfschnitzel bzw. deftiges Feuerfleisch mit böhmischen Knödeln genießen. Als Getränk fand ich persönlich das sogenannte Probierbrett mit fünf verschiedenen Sorten Bier nicht schlecht. Erwähnenswert an dieser Stelle noch der fantastische Blick aus dem Gastraum auf die Friedensbrücke. Absolut empfehlenswert dieses Restaurant.

Man sitzt sehr schön mit Blick auf die Spree entweder drinnen hinter einem großen Panoramafenster oder draußen auf der Terrasse. Das Essen ist fantastisch, sehr geschmackvoll, schön anzusehen und ein echter Gaumenschmaus. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder, selbst die lange Anfahrt aus Berlin lohnt sich.

Meine Lieblingsgaststätte in Bautzen! Die Terrasse im Sommer ist traumhaft. Essen schmeckt super lecker! Ich liebe es...

Zum 2 Mal hier gewesen. Zum ersten war das Essen sehr gut, so dass wir den Zwischenstopp hier wieder gemacht haben. Das Bier war sehr gut. Allerdings haben wir verbrannten Karpfen bekommen. Den haben wir zurückgegeben, wurde ohne Wort weggebracht. Es kam wieder auf den Tisch und wieder verbrannt. Beilage laufwarm. Das Essen wurde trotz dem fast vollen Teller ohne Kommentar abkassiert. 3 Sterne weil das Essen von meinem Mann und Tochter einwandfrei war.

Essen war schon lecker, sagen wir mal gut vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Location sehr hübsch, Bedienung freundlich.

Leider wurden wir trotz Reservierung konsequent über eine halbe Stunde ignoriert und noch nicht mal gefragt, was wir an Getränken bestellen möchten. Nicht zu empfehlen. Waren heute nochmals da und sehr positiv überrascht. Nette Bedienung, kein langes Warten auf die Bestellung und das Essen war hervorragend.

Das Schweinekotelett war zäh, unmöglich zu schneiden und der Preis war hoch.

Wir waren im Alten Bierhof in Bautzen essen. Das Ambiente war insgesamt gemütlich, allerdings war es im Gastraum etwas kühl. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt und die Auswahl an Gerichten ist wirklich toll – da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Leider konnte mich der Salat als Beilage nicht überzeugen, da ich keinen Dosenmais mag. Insgesamt dennoch ein gutes Restaurant, das wir weiterempfehlen können.

We were here for New Year's Eve and luckily had booked in advance. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff were incredibly friendly despite the hustle and bustle. The "last meal" (complete with gallows) and the tasting beers were delicious. In short: Highly recommended, thank you!

A true oasis of service! Fantastic food, super friendly and fast service, great atmosphere. It's wonderful that places like this still exist. Even though a busload of 50 guests had just arrived, we were served quickly and attentively and regularly asked if we needed anything else.

The price-performance ratio is okay. The portions could have been larger. They also offer typical German cuisine for those with a smaller appetite.

The ambiance is fitting for Bautzen. The food could have been better, as many pre-made components were used, despite the prices promising freshness; in fact, much of it was pre-prepared. The meat was good, but the side dishes weren't well seasoned. However, we'll come back for another meal.

The ambiance is generally good, except for the table assigned to the restrooms, which I don't find so great. In summer, or when the temperatures allow, it must be wonderful with the outdoor lighting and the fantastic view. This view is also available from the large room in front of the window. The food is very tasty. There were five of us, and everyone had a different dish. Unfortunately, our goulash was served lukewarm.

A beautiful setting, really delicious food, coloring supplies for the children – simply inviting, making you want to come back. 👍🏻

There were 10 of us. The restaurant was full, yet there were no wait times for orders. Excellent staff. The food is four out of five stars. This is a subjective assessment. In conclusion: The staff is excellent; the waiters and waitresses are truly skilled. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The medieval setting is so beautifully rustic and appealing. The service is superb, the food is good and refined. You could easily while away the evening there. 😉♥️

If you want to grab a beer and move on, this is a great place. It's cozy, the beer is fresh, and there are plenty of varieties. You can't eat here. We ordered a beef roulade and liver with onions. The roulade was completely dry, impossible to chew, much less swallow. The liver was charred. Everything was burnt to a crispy black crumb. Overall, the food doesn't even deserve 1 star. The beer is 5, the atmosphere is 4 (the lights are broken and not working). Overall, a 3.

A pleasant and rustic atmosphere meets very friendly staff. We were absolutely delighted, as always; the price-performance ratio is completely justified. On average, you pay 18 to 20 euros for a good meal. The food was delicious again, and despite the large number of guests, we didn't have to wait long. Highly recommended.

We were served drinks quite quickly, and the food arrived in about 30 minutes. We ate several different dishes, and all were good to very good. The "Prince's Meal" is highly recommended.

So for a hapthang that is smaller than a döner 20€ I don't see the point in paying whatever you get on the plate for 20€ it's not worth it, it's artificially cooked and well-seasoned without using too much salt

Last night passed in a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed spiced meat and baked potato wedges with quark. The homemade spiced meat surpassed all our previous experiences in terms of taste. Our expectations for the evening were met. Thanks to the friendly service.

We visited the Alter Bierhof for the first time today and were pleasantly impressed. You won't get anything without a reservation, so always book in advance. The service is very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is rustic and truly wonderful. The food was plentiful and tasty. The restrooms were clean. Full stars.

I really enjoy going there. In the summer, you can spend a few pleasant hours outside with a beautiful view. The food is delicious, and there's a good selection. Requests for substitutions are no problem. The service is always friendly and prompt. Keep it up. Pre-ordering is advisable.

We actually wanted to have dinner at the old beer hall today, but that never happened. Right from the start, the waitress at the counter greeted us with a rude "What do you want?" After we said we were looking for a table for three, we were informed that almost everything was reserved, which we couldn't see because there were no reserved signs. We then sat down on the terrace and were given tickets, but after that, we were simply ignored. However, the table next to us, which arrived later, was served. Since it started to rain, we went inside and asked again for a table. A waiter, at least a friendlier, told us where a table was available, but that was it. Again, we waited in vain and left after waiting for over half an hour. When we handed over the table, the lady, who had been so "friendly" at the beginning, said she was finishing work early and went to smoke in the aisle in front of the entrance with other people. Conclusion: never again and absolutely not recommended.

We were there on Saturday for the second time in three months. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food was rather bland; we didn't like it at all. The wait was very long, and there was no cutlery on the table, so we had to wait several minutes after serving until a waiter came and brought us cutlery. Nevertheless, the two young waiters were super nice and very attentive. We had a celebration on the terrace in 2022, and the food was gigantic and absolutely delicious. Today we were very disappointed; the menu didn't blow us away either; it was very confusingly written. Unfortunately, it's no longer 5 stars for us.

Unfortunately, we were squashed into a small table right next to the restroom and the exit to the outside. One of us was allowed to look at the wall. Even after requesting a better seat, nothing was done for us, even though the better neighboring seat wasn't occupied by the time we left. The menu was confusing, with overly creative and ridiculous names for standard dishes. The portions were very large. But the mushroom sauce with the schnitzel was definitely not homemade and tasted like it came from a can. The consistency of the sauce was also a sign of "canned food." The experience didn't live up to the hefty price tag. And it will remain a one-time visit.

Very nice outdoor seating with a view of the Old Town Bridge and the mountains. Delicious food and a good selection of drinks and beers. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that good. We were left sitting for a long time, and the dishes weren't cleared away for ages. If the server had been at the table more often, I would have had at least two more drinks. Not like this. Update from August 24, 2025: Yesterday, after a visit to the Dinosaur Park, we wanted to stop at the Alter Bierhof before starting our almost two-hour journey home. I called around 4:15 p.m. and asked if there was still space for four on the terrace. After checking the booking system, this was confirmed, so we arrived about 20 minutes later. The waitress then said that food orders wouldn't be taken until 5:30 p.m. With two small children and considering our journey home, we didn't want to wait that long, so we left. It would be desirable if the information that hot meals aren't available all day was communicated transparently. There was no mention of this either on the website or when contacting us by phone. The trip and search for a parking space were therefore in vain. Annoying.

We visited the restaurant today. We were able to choose a table outside. A waitress immediately came over and asked what we wanted. We first ordered a small beer tasting. The beers were explained to us. The beer was served at a comfortable temperature and slightly sparkling... simply excellent. Afterward, we ordered a spicy meat dish and a sausage salad... both dishes were very, very tasty, both in terms of temperature, seasoning, and quantity. There are so many different seating areas inside and outside, hence the 5 stars for that and to the entire staff for their very friendly service and perfect preparation and service. KEEP IT UP!!!

Good, home-style food. We got a table without a reservation. There's a kids' menu. The food is plentiful and delicious.

A beautiful, quaint restaurant with a medieval feel, winding, and somewhat dark, but appropriately decorated. Attentive staff. The food is appealing, well-portioned, and tasty. Anyone vacationing in and around Bautzen should plan a visit here. Public parking is available approximately 100 meters away.

If you visit Bautzen, the old town is a must! Then enjoy a break at the Alter Bierhof, with excellent cuisine! A fabulous menu and ancient, rustic rooms with a view of the deep Spree Valley!

I'm not sure what happened today. I told the guy we wanted a table for 8. He said he didn't have any. Then I asked about two tables for 4. The guy told us it was full even though there was literally no one in the pub. Maybe he was bothered by the fact that we were Czechs even though quite frankly we have a higher GDP per capita than East Germany. Bizarre

Highly recommended. Great location in Bautzen. Delicious food with a fantastic view. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food was really delicious. The mustard schnitzel is currently highly recommended during Bautzen's Mustard Weeks.

We ate here yesterday. The food was okay, even if we weren't entirely impressed with the taste. The service was friendly but seemed a bit uncoordinated – we had to wait a while for our drinks, and one or two orders unfortunately went missing. The ambiance is pleasant, and the view from the terrace remains a real highlight.

The food was okay, but it arrived before we even got to our table. Help! We had to wait 60 minutes because the four tables that arrived 20 minutes after us had supposedly pre-ordered. Personally, I think it's a disgrace.

We come here regularly for dinner and always find it outstanding. The service and ambiance are perfect. We can only recommend it to everyone. Many thanks to the great team.

Hands off! The seating is quite comfortable, but that's about it... ...Our family head had reserved a table for eight people for lunch at 1 p.m. on a "normal" Sunday. No problem, we took our seats, and the first impression was OK. The cards were brought to the table immediately. After that, the downward spiral began. 1. The drinks weren't brought for 10 minutes, and after an impatient 30 minutes, we dared to ask what the problem was. We were told at the bar that the beer wasn't running today. That can happen, but they neither offered us a replacement drink nor recommended a bottled beer as an alternative if the tap was just "drip." After another 10 minutes, the server nervously arrived at the table and promised that there was a kink in the hose and that business would resume as normal from now on...unfortunately, not. 2. The dishes were brought after a positive announcement about the beer, and the drinks were brought to the table by waiter No. 2. After asking three times by waitress No. 1 whether the drinks had been delivered yet, we gave up and left the restaurant with a sick feeling in our stomachs. 6. Of course, the four drinks were included on the bill, even though a minute earlier, the question had been answered three times by waitress No. 1, who also printed out the receipt. The end of it. We had to check the receipt and report the number of drinks ourselves, and what was left. The corrected receipt followed promptly. Well, thanks for the messed-up lunch. It was almost 4 p.m. by then.

Unfortunately, our visit to you today was disappointing. We had to wait almost an hour for our food. A salad we ordered was forgotten, and it wasn't brought even after we asked for it. There was a rather large bone in the seasoned meat. After asking twice, we finally paid at the counter. We didn't receive a bill.
