Fare la scarpetta - frowned upon in Italian etiquette, but common in culinary practice: dip the sauce with some white bread. Our plates in the Alte Bailiwick absolutely deserved that. Such delicious and excellent sauces with every dish, but unfortunately there was no bread. We got over it because every course was a dream.

This jewelry box is a true gourmet's paradise. I expect good, tasty food when you go out to eat. But good food has nothing to do with completely exorbitant prices. A good restaurant offers freshness, enjoyment and fair prices. As an Argentinian you buy the roast roast wholesale for 17.90 a kg and sell it shamelessly. The wine prices are also completely exorbitant. Well... you'll notice, as there are a number of them in the area that are very good and not too expensive. Just think outside the box...

The old bailiwick, Köngen's oldest building. We visited here last Saturday evening and were taken on a brilliant culinary journey. The menu was balanced and the nuances provided a great experience for the palate. The tenant has had an exciting gastronomic journey, which is reflected in the choice of components and the resulting dishes. The wine selection covers a wide range of preferences. We will definitely come back! And we're already looking forward to it again today.

The old bailiwick is already a feast for the eyes with its half-timbered building. The welcome was warm and we immediately felt very welcome. The dishes are unique and carefully created. You can tell that the chef puts a lot of thought into his dishes. The dishes were artistically arranged on the plates and we almost didn't want to touch them, they were presented so uniquely. Keep it up and we look forward to being part of this journey. We are very proud that Marcel serves our Demeter wines in his restaurant.

We sat on the terrace in the sunshine and it was just really beautiful! The meal was excellent. Each of us 5 was thrilled with our starter, main course and dessert! It was our second visit and we will definitely come back. The service and chef staff are absolutely friendly, courteous, attentive and give great recommendations. You feel comfortable all the time. Unfortunately very small selection of dishes but very expensive. My spaetzle was overcooked and tasteless. The service is very good, you can't complain!! Music is not suitable for this ambience and upscale restaurant, pop music was playing.

..what the new, young team delivers is super good. The Vogtei has always been a flagship for good cuisine in Köngen and we can say that this tradition continues seamlessly. Excellent upscale German cuisine and a very good selection of wines from local winemakers, coupled with top service. We would love to come back 🙂

Great restaurant, run by a young and committed team that puts their heart and soul into it. You notice that in the very obliging service and, above all, you taste it. We had two 4-course menus (one focused on fish, one on meat) in which all the dishes were convincing in terms of taste, combination and composition. We will be back definitely.

We were able to celebrate the baptism of our little daughter in the Alte Bailiwick at the weekend. From the beginning I found the planning to be very pleasant, uncomplicated and relaxed, and this continued on the day of the celebration. Mr. Hoffmann and his small team did everything they could to give us an unforgettable day, with loving, attentive service for big, small and even the furry guests (our dogs will certainly not forget their little “greeting from the kitchen” for the rest of their lives) . The coffee and cake were excellent, as was the dinner, but especially the dessert. The process went smoothly and every one of our wishes was taken into account. We had a wonderful day and would celebrate there again at any time, and we will certainly eat there very often. Thank you, dear Bailiwick team, for this great experience ❤️

We had dinner with you yesterday for our wedding anniversary. It was just wonderful, thank you very much. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the evening outside. The salmon trout as a starter was brilliant, and the main course was the roast roast old bailiwick. I have to say, I have rarely eaten better. We have already been to various tenants in the Alte Bailiwick several times. However, we have never eaten as excellently as Mr. Hoffmann's. All dishes were perfectly coordinated and lovingly prepared. We chose the Easter menu and were not disappointed. The service is unobtrusive but always present. The welcome and the entire support throughout the evening were very attentive and warm. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing the owners continue to enrich the cuisine in Köngen for a long time.

Since March 8, 2024 under the new leadership of Marcel Hoffmann. All previous reviews are therefore irrelevant. Real fine dining on a largely organic basis is offered. Creative cuisine with matching wines. Excellent service. Amuse bouche: salmon trout tartare on poached wild garlic. Delicious. Then oxtail essence with marrow dumplings and chives. Very delicately seasoned. Main course: Onion roast Alte Vogtei made from beef shovel, garnished with two types of onions (steamed and golden-roasted fried onions), confit potatoes and truffled broccoli. Finally: Ganache from Valrhona Guanaja 75%. A delicious menu that is worth seeing.

Wir haben unsere standesamtl. Hochzeit mit 20 Personen am 1.12.2023 in der Alten Vogtei gefeiert. K. Richter war in der Planung sehr zuverlässig und extrem flexibel, alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Das Essen sowie der Service war - wie immer - qualitativ top. Auch das Ambiente wurde von allen Gästen in den höchsten Tönen gelobt, wir haben uns mit unseren Gästen sehr wohlgefühlt.

Etwas unscheinbar von Außen erwartet Sie ein historisches Gebäude mit Charm. Innen ist das Ambiente dem Gebäude angepasst und sehr nett. Besonders schön ist der Grüne eingefasste Gastgarten. Der Chef ist sehr nett und hat einen tollen Humor und die Bedienung war sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist erstklassig man kann nichts auf dem Teller zurücklassen. Die Saucen sind selbst gemacht was man schmeckt. Schade, dass ich nur beruflich in der Gegend bin. Stammlokalpotenzial!

Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall seinen Preis wert! Es ist alles frisch und regional. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und ist kein Tiefkühl essen. Uns hat es super geschmeckt! Super netter Besitzer/Koch! Würde ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Waren das erste mal da und kommen bestimmt wieder. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Kinder Spielkiste super Idee. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir wären gerne noch zum Dessert da geblieben aber es gab für die Kinder nur Vanilleeis. Deshalb ab in die Eisdiele.

Man möchte sagen, wer Köngen besucht hat, und die Alte Vogtei dabei links liegen ließ, der hat unbedingt etwas verpasst! Hier ergibt das Wort Gastronomie seinen Sinn, hier kümmert man sich herzlich und zugewandt um den Gast. Und die Küche ist mit excellent unzureichend beschrieben.

Wir waren in der alten Vogtei in Köngen zum Abendessen und sind total begeistert. Das Ambiente, der Service und die Speisen einfach top und genial. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an den Service der sehr aufmerksam uns während des Abends betreute. Das Essen war einmalig, so gut habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen. Das Essen ist sehr schön angerichtet. So stelle ich mir Erlebnisgastronomie vor. Neben einen Kachelofen in gemütlicher Atmosphäre, bei freundlichen Service und sehr guten Essen einfach den Abend genießen und schlemmen. Wir sagen DANKE den Team der alten Vogtei für diesen schönen Abend.

Essen ist auch Geschmackssache aber eins kann ich sagen ,die haben Ahnung von dem was sie tun , glg aus Hohenstaufen

Wunderbares und leckeres Essen, das Entrecote das ich English bestellt habe, war auch wirklich English und auf den punkt. Service sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Ambiente ist gemütlich. Der Chef kommt zu den Gästen und fragt diese, ob sie zufrieden waren. War unser erste Mal hier zum Essen, und haben uns entschieden öfters zu kommen. Wird auf jeden Fall weiterempfohlen.

Heute waren wir zum "Familienessen" in der "Alten Vogtei". Die Essensqualität, Größe der Portionen sowie der freundliche und hilfsbereite Service waren perfekt. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist daher auf jeden Fall in Ordnung, ein Besuch uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert!

Waren gestern kurz entschlossen mit Freunden nach langer Zeit mal wieder in der Alten Vogtei. Eins vorab: wir kommen wieder. Ambiente wie früher, einfach toll, freundliche Aufnahme und Bedienung, leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen und üppige Portionsgrößen.

24.09.22 Selten so gut gegessen. Das Essen ist sensationell gut im besten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Personal sehr zuvorkommend. In einem der ältesten Häuser von Köngen, bei sehr schönen und wohlfühlenden Ambiente mit hohen Wohlfühlfaktor. Passend zum fast 500 Jahre alten Haus auch die Innenausstattung mit teils alten Fachwerkwänden. Gegessen wurde: Hirschgulasch Wiener Schnitzel Ochsenbäckchen Rostbraten 4 x Note 1* Zuvor gab es ein Gruß der Küche, ein frisches warmes Brot mit selbstgemachte Kräutercreme. Wow, Grüße aus Filderstadt
