Das Restaurant war komplett ausgebucht, dennoch hat uns der Bett einen Platz zugeordnet. Der dezente Hinweis wir müssten in circa 1,5 Stunden fertig sein. Da wir nur zur Durchreise angekommen sind, war das für uns perfekt. Nicht nur der wird auch das Essen und der Service haben uns begeistert. Sehr zu empfehlen Spaghetti mit Schrimps, aber auch das Cordon bleu.

Sehr schönes Lokal und ein Super Service mit richtig freundlichem Personal . Das Essen war extrem lecker. Wir hatten Steak, Salat mit Rinderstreifen, Schnitzel, Zwiebelrostbraten und als Highlight Kaiserschmarrn.. alles absolut lecker! Ein muss für jeden der in Kempten Essen gehen möchte. Danke 🙏

Spontaner Besuch. Wir wählten die Knödelsuppe und Puten- und Rindfleissalat. Man kan wählen aus Südtiroler und Allgáuer Schmankerln zu sehr freundlichen Preisen. Das Essen war frisch und geschmackvoll. Die Ambiente war gemütlich und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir kennzeichnen diesen Besuch als ein Hit.

This restaurant is an absolute insider tip in Kempten! The food is excellent and every meal is a pleasure. The innkeepers are incredibly warm and make you feel completely comfortable.

When the restaurant is full, the noise level due to conversations is relatively high, but still within the limits of being able to understand each other well at the table.

Zu meinem Rumpsteak wollte ich etwas anderes als die üblichen Beilagen essen und es wurde mir auch wie gewünscht serviert. Die Atmosphäre war locker, die Location toll, sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service. Preis/Leistung stimmen auf jeden Fall.

Das Allgäu und Kempten sind eine Reise wert. Abgerundet wird das alles durch einen Aufenthalt im Alpensteig. Eine feine kleine Karte, die Speisen handgemacht und einfach nur lecker. Und wer bereits dort war und die Marillenknödel hatte, weiß wovon ich schreibe. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist urig und einfach so, dass man sich sofort zuhause und willkommen fühlt. Es war nun unser dritter Besuch im Alpensteig und es wird nicht unser letzter gewesen sein.

Despite a full house and a nice advance warning of a longer waiting time, everything still came very quickly. Edit: I'm referring to the operator's comment here: Thank you for describing the context, even if it's difficult to read due to the lack of punctuation and grammar. Obviously, in such a case, people think it is legitimate to “put off” the guests in a very rude and loud manner. So you've described the context, so why should I attach importance to it? Obviously you don't know the meaning of the word at all. No surprise, after all, you lack any manners or politeness. Now you are also discriminatory towards people who express themselves in a chosen way. It's strange, however, that they then treat people with a migrant background badly because of their lack of German language skills, according to the reviews here. So do you attach great importance to language or are you also racist?

Everything was great, only the menu with the frayed backs of the envelope almost drove me away when I entered. 😉

I was there once but that was enough. I don't speak perfect German yet, so unfortunately she wasn't that polite to me. If you speak perfect German, you are welcome to visit. Otherwise I unfortunately cannot recommend it to you.

Very inconspicuous from the outside, we didn't notice the restaurant. Friends sold this to us as an insider tip and what can I say – you have to eat here. The interior is very lovingly furnished and radiates warmth. We had a seat outside, the chairs are very comfortable, and we got the tickets quickly. A great selection of food and very attractively priced. The portions are a nice size and were served quickly. In terms of drinks, I can warmly recommend the Aperol, it has a very good mixing ratio! Had the trilogy (the cheese dumplings and bacon dumplings were excellent), the cordon bleu and the steak. There was also bread soup (fortunately not the typical bread soup) and a salad. Very, very tasty and very delicately seasoned. The employees all tried very hard and kept checking that everything was going well. From our side, we are more than surprised and think it's a shame that we didn't "find" the restaurant earlier. Definitely worth a visit!

We felt very comfortable here - especially our 3 year old daughter was treated like a little princess. We have never experienced such loving and attentive care for our child! Thank you very much again for the ice cream sundae! The food and the ambience are great! Since we only live a few streets away, we will definitely come back often!!!

Top restaurant. Very well eaten and perfect service. While we were passing through, we stopped at the motorhome parking lot here in Kempten to take a look at the city. Of course, we always go out to eat in the cities we visit. We ate really well here, absolutely good service and great food. We will be back. Really very friendly staff who try to fulfill all wishes. The decoration creates a very cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was very tasty and was delivered quickly. You can also come by at lunchtime without a reservation, but in the evening it's always worth calling in advance and reserving a table.

We were visiting Kempten and wanted to eat here in the evening. Unfortunately, we were turned away very rudely at 8 p.m., even though tables were free. the justification that they close at 10 p.m. erm...we were perplexed, but apparently there is enough turnover here that we can do without guests. Pity

All around delicious! Try the dumpling tris, it's a delight! And in the beautiful atmosphere we were served very nicely. Thanks for that :-)

We made reservations by phone because of the dog. The landlord was very friendly and had no problems with dogs, like the entire team. You immediately feel at home here! We received a table that was specially tailored to our needs (dog). We had a lot of space with our dog even though the restaurant was full. The service was very courteous, friendly and quick despite the full house. The menu offers a sufficient selection of Tyrolean and Allgäu delicacies. The cordon bleu we ordered was super tasty thanks to the ham used and plenty of cheese inside. The salad with raspberry ham dressing was exactly my taste. The desserts Bauernkapfen and Schwedeneis were also a great ending. The prices were absolutely reasonable. Even as a first-time visitor you will feel very comfortable and warmly welcomed here. If we visit Kempten again, the address is saved!

Went there on Saturday and had an excellent meal. My girlfriend and I have been to South Tyrol many times. She, as a native Austrian, and I, as someone who has lived in Austria for a long time, were both enthusiastic about the tasty dishes. The Kaiserschmarren is by far the best I have ever eaten. We will happily make the journey from Zurich again for this great cuisine in a harmonious atmosphere!

Das Essen ist perfekt zubereitet, und aus regionalen Zutaten. Das Personal ist herzlich und sehr um das Wohl des Gastes bemüht ! Die gesamte Stimmung dieser Lokalität hat auf mich so perfekt gewirkt, dass ich gerne öfter erscheinen würde, wenn die Entfernung nicht so groß wäre !!

Sehr ansprechendes Restaurant für Tiroler und Südtiroler Gaumenfreuden. Die Gerichte überzeugen in Anrichtung, Geschmack und Herkunft, sehr gelungen. Service und Ambiente sind auch sehr gut, wobei das Kulinarische hervor sticht. Alles zusammen richtig gut. Tischvorbestellung ist empfehlenswert.

Ich hätte sehr gerne 5 Sterne vergeben, denn es ist wirklich ein tolles Restaurant. Sehr gemütlich, toll dekoriert. Der Service ist super nett und das Essen war sehr gut. Aber leider hatten wir einen Tisch zu zweit mitten in einer Weihnachtsfeier, die gleichzeitig im Restaurant stattfand. Die Lautstärke war kaum auszuhalten, wir mussten uns teilweise anschreiben. Ich hatte immer das Gefühl, dass ich gleich aufstehen und Ruhe schreien muss. Ich war mit einer Freundin verabredet, die ich lange nicht getroffen hatte und es war kalt und hat geregnet. Wäre das nicht gewesen, wäre ich definitiv wieder gegangen. Als Tipp für euch im Restaurant bitte weist doch bei Reservierung auf solche Situationen hin, dann kann man selbst noch entscheiden ob man das möchte oder wann anders zu euch kommen.

Leider kann ich die überwiegend positiven Bewertungen nicht uneingeschränkt teilen. Service war freundlich aber nicht immer aufmerksam. Sassen gefüllt eine halbe Stunde unbeachtet vor leeren Gläsern, obwohl beide Damen und auch der Chef in der Zeit mehrmals in dem (zu lautem) Nebenraum bedient haben. Nun zum Essen: Käsesuppe war gut, Salat ok. Beim Alpensteig Burger war der Patty durch statt medium (ist mir aber bei Hackfleisch nicht ganz so wichtig) und fad gewürzt. Angerichtet war er sehr schön. Die Steakhouse-Pommes waren viel zu fett. Ich vermute zu kaltes Fett und dadurch vollgesogen. Eine absolute Enttäuschung aber war das hochgelobte „sogenannte“ Tiroler Gröstl. Gröstl kommt von „rösten“ und davon war absolut nichts zu erkennen. Ein paar Fleisch- und Kartoffelwürfel, insgesamt auch eine viel zu kleine Portion, haben nur kurz mit der Pfanne Bekanntschaft gemacht. Wie man dann noch auf die Idee kommt, das alles auf einer gelierten Fertigsossenpampe anzurichten, ist mir schleierhaft.

Schon lange kein so leckeres Cordon Bleu mehr gegessen. Frisch von Hand zubereitet mit gut würzigem Käse und leckerem Speck. Auch das Dessert mit Kaiserschmarrn oder Schokokuchen war wirklich lecker 😋

Ein wunderbarer wunderschöner Abend. Das Essen war sehr gut (Cordon Bleu und Schweinerückensteak). Die Beilagen Bratkartoffeln und Spätzle waren sehr gut und der gemischte Salat mit den frischen Salatsaucen hat alles abgerundet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Der Alpensteig ist auf alle Fälle beim nächsten Urlaub im Allgäu wieder einen Besuch wert

Wir waren sehr oft und immer perfekt Zwiebelrostbraten essen aber uns ist leider aufgefallen das sich die Portionen stark Reduziert haben. Zusätzlich ist er teurer geworden. Es ist ok für gutes essen mehr zu bezahlen aber bitte lasst die Portionen so wie sie waren !! Ansonsten service wie immer sehr sehr nett schnell und für alle wünsche offen.

Wir - 6 Pers.- haben alle zum 1. Mal im Alpensteig zu Abend gegessen. Ein gut gelaunter, flotter Service, hervorragendes Essen - südtiroler Spezialitäten - ein gemütliches, schönes Ambiente, all das macht wirklich Spass! Extra Lob der Küche, besonders für die Schlutzkrapfen und 3-erlei Knödel mit Butter und Parmesan. Auch die Beilagensalate - 3-erlei Dressing zum Aussuchen - schmeckten überaus lecker! Es gibt wenige Tische vor dem Lokal in der Fußgängerzone. Parkplätze findet man im nahen Parkhaus Kronenstr. oder auf dem Parkplatz am Hofgarten/Pfeilergraben. Inzwischen waren wir nochmal in größerer Gruppe hier beim Essen - einfach authentisch und gut!

Wirklich IMMER wenn ich dort bin ein super Service! Sehr freundlich! Das Essen ohne Ausnahme wirklich gut! Die Qualität der Lebensmittel sehr gut! So macht Essen gehen wirklich Spaß! Einzig die Weine sind nicht so ganz nach meinem Geschmack, was ich persönlich sehr schade finde. Dennoch gehe ich sehr gerne dort essen.

Wir hatten leider nicht so viel Glück wie andere. Ein arrogant (gestresst) wirkendes Betreiber Paar welches Anmerkungen überhaupt nicht zu lässt und für andere Gäste lautstark unterbricht kann ich nicht dulden. Der Versuch die Wogen später durch ein Freigetränk zu glätten wäre nett gemeint wenn dieser nicht durch die Bedienung überbracht worden wäre sondern persönlich. Über Geschmack des Essens kann ich nicht viel sagen aber der Koch meinte es mit Butter sehr gut an mehreren Gerichten. Auffällig war auch die musikalische Untermalung im Aussenbereich durchs Küchenfenster welche von Volksmusik über Schlager bis zu Techno alles in kurzer Zeit bot. Die Bedienung hat einen tollen Job gemacht und war immer bemüht den Gästen eine angenehme Zeit zu bereiten, sie ist die wahre Perle hier.
