A nice destination near Schweinfurt

One of the first excursion restaurants around Schweinfurt to offer the opportunity to sit outside relatively early in the year. There are several footpaths there - once from Deutschhof and once from Höllental. You can also hike there from the direction of Mainberg, but the path is a little more demanding. You can also drive to the Obere Mainleite car park, but due to its central location it quickly becomes overcrowded on nice days. From there it's just a 10 minute walk. The beer garden looks well-kept, the choice of food is a little limited. Essentially there is a snack and a few warm dishes.

I would love to come here again and again. The most beautiful beer garden in Schweinfurt - in my opinion. The food and service leave nothing to be desired. Was here today and ate schnitzel with fries. It was the first time indoors and I have to say...really comfortable. Keep it up...

The Almrösl has become one of the most beautiful beer gardens in the Schweinfurt area! Totally cozy and relaxed atmosphere: in addition to beer table sets and traditional "seating", you will also find a few deck chairs and other things. The food is delicious and self-service is ok.

Nice beer garden! According to the Internet, there was a sign on the gate “COMPANY HOLIDAYS” closed ! Too bad!!

I don't understand why, as the tenant and operator of the associated website, you don't announce the company holidays on it. We stood in front of a closed door today and informed a few people on the way back so that the same thing didn't happen to them.

A very nice beer garden and very nicely decorated. Dogs 🐕 are also very welcome. FOOD and DRINKS in the BEER GARDEN must be brought by yourself. The meals are good. SHAME: Ingredients cannot be exchanged, even for a fee. RESTAURANT opens at 12 p.m.: At times it is no longer possible to order food at 12.20 p.m. Then wait 30 MINUTES. Kitchen fills up quickly. The service could be friendlier.

Visited for lunch with a walk through the Schweinfurter Höllental. It's nice to walk, the last part is a short, steep climb over a forest path. For the little effort you will be rewarded with a beautiful beer garden. Lovingly decorated, well-seated, there are even reclining seats, a playground for children, far enough away that it's not too loud, close enough that you can see your loved ones. An outdoor stage for musicians (as we left, a trio had just set up their equipment). There is self-service in the garden. Order at the window, drinks are available immediately, and the food is freshly prepared. As soon as it is ready, you will be informed by a pager; the output is on a separate window, so there are no waiting times. In addition to the fixed menu, there are also daily specials for variety. Friendly, cheerful staff. At the end of the visit, if you want, you can go back over the Peterstirn and walk a circuit. A small feel-good place to switch off, enjoy and be happy.

Quiet in the forest, really nice.

The Almrösl is hidden away from traffic on a hill in the forest. Here you can go for a lovely hike and then stop off at the cozy, spacious and quiet garden restaurant (the way there is clearly signposted). The atmosphere is very familiar. There is some play equipment for children - and ice cream! Food and drink are self-service. There is a good selection, there is something for everyone. We had currywurst and were satisfied, the waiting time was relatively short. An excursion restaurant as you wish. You should be careful with the opening times (it's best to check them online or call).

Small but fine menu with fränk. Eat. Homemade bratwursts - sometimes with chili - are recommended. The draft beer from Kreuzberg Monastery is recommended. The most beautiful beer garden in Schweinfurt, unfortunately opening time in the afternoon is too short, at least on Friday / Saturday it should be open until 7.30 p.m. - instead of 6 p.m.

The beer garden is beautifully set in the forest with a children's playground. Places in the shade and in the sun are available. The kitchen surprised us very positively. We had dumplings with sauce for children, currywurst with fries and cheese spaetzle with salad. Everything prepared fresh and very tasty. We were thrilled, it certainly wasn't our last visit.

Although hot food is available everywhere until 6 p.m., there was nothing left after 5 p.m. It's a shame we planned it that way.

Super delicious food. Cozy location. It is also ideal for a refreshment or just a drink. And if you're really hungry, this is the right place for you. Sitting comfortably together with young and old. Small playground available. The beer garden is beautifully situated in the green surrounded by trees.

Just very expensive. I don't know how justified it is to charge €3.50 for a bratwurst in a bun these days? The farmer doesn't notice anything. A slice of bread topped with radish for €4 is outrageous!!!

Beforehand we did a nice circular hike, 8km later, we stopped for a break. Unfortunately, some meals are already sold out. Had a nice place, something to drink, music was playing, heart what more could you want

A really nice beer garden located on the edge of the forest. The staff is friendly and helpful, but there is no real service because you order the food at one window and then pick it up later at another window. You also have to clear it yourself. That's why only 3 stars in this category. The food is delicious and the selection is what you would expect in a beer garden like this. You can easily use the restaurant as a stopover on a hike.

such a nice beer garden, unfortunately very unprofessional innkeepers, half an hour until you get a drink, and the garden wasn't even full, you should just open a second window just for drinks, and one for food etc., you should go into the shooting house and see how it can work, you don't have to wait 10 minutes.

sehr schöner Biergarten,leider sind die Inhaber total überfordert,für ein Getränk ne halbe Std. anstehen,obwohl der Biergarten nicht mal voll war.da sollte man halt einen Schalter,Fenster nur für Getränke und einen für Essen,Kaffee,Kuchen etc.Die meisten Leute waren auch sauer deswegenaber anscheinend interessiert es die Wirtsleute nicht,brauch uch nicht mehr,Jahnsplatz,Schiesshaus,alte Warte,Naturfreundehaus gehts viiiel schneller

A beer garden. Just as it should be - rustic and simple. Whether hiking pants or Sunday clothes, everyone is welcome here and everyone feels comfortable. Dogs are welcome, both inside and outside. You have to go further away to find the nearest comparable beer garden.

Sensational... We were there for an original Schweinfurt slaughter bowl... Really from bed and with a solo entertainer, 3 types of horseradish, bread, salt, pepper and sauerkraut... Oh yes, and lots of beer... That made it all the more adventurous the way back through the forest...

We drove an extra 40km and hiked up. 3pm on Sundays. The innkeeper greets us straight away: we're at capacity, there's no drinking either! Oops, that was tough, wanted to have a drink while standing outside. You don't need it!

We've actually always enjoyed coming to Almrösl for years, until today. We went into the restaurant to get something to drink outside, but unfortunately we didn't get around to ordering and were rudely dismissed right at the counter by the boss: “We're full. No order possible!” When we asked if we could take something to drink with us, we were simply left standing! It's a shame, we'll remember this tone and manner.

Katastrophe, schon zum dritten mal, 1,5 Std vor Schluss vor Ort und jedesmal angeblich nichts zu Essen mehr im Haus... 2 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder... was soll das denn?? Warum wird dann damit geworben, dass es bis 18 Uhr durchgehend Essen gibt...

Das war mal nix....16,50€ für Burgunderbraten mit Blaukraut und Klößen: Braten mit wässriger und geschmackloser Soße und garantiert ohne Burgunder, Klöße aus Fertigkloßteig, Blaukraut aus dem Glas aufgewärmt...das hat für mich mit "Kochen" nichts zu tun. Aber schnell sind sie...nach 5 Min. standen 4 Hauptspeisen auf dem Tisch 😆

Das Essen schmeckt vorzüglich! Vor allem die Curry Wurst ist sehr groß und lecker! Deswegen in der Kategorie Essen 6 Sterne Der Service ist schnell und sehr nett, deswegen in der Kategorie Service 6 Sterne Man hörst ständig schreiende Kinder am Spielplatz oder an Tischen und es ist grundsätzlich sehr laut. Deswegen in der Kategorie Ambiente nur 3 Sterne

Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne. Uriges Ambiente. Schöner Biergarten. Kleiner Spielplatz. Kann nicht direkt mit dem Auto angefahren werden. Nach einer kleinen Wanderung (vom Parkplatz an der Mainleite) ohne große Steigung erreicht man das Almrösl. Weg ist gut beschildert. Kleine Speisekarte aber sehr lecker.

Sehr nettes Ausflugsziel mit wunderbarem Biergarten. Das Essen ist ok, der Service funktioniert (Selbstabholung von Speisen und Getränken).

Sehr schöner Biergarten, in abgelegenen Waldstück, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Stadt Schweinfurt. Nettes Personal und eine tolle Speisekarte runden den sehr guten Gesamteindruck positiv ab.

Wunderschön gelegenes Ausflugslokal mitten im Waldgebiet. Herrliche Wanderwege. Sehr leckeres Essen.

sehr schöner ort. bedienung war leider nur extrem genervt von unserem ansturm am woe. hat mir zb das geld aus der hand gerissen und den restbetrag mir hingeschmissen. also erstmal nicht wieder sorry

An sich schöner Biergarten mit Spielplatz, aber gastronomisch ein Glücksspiel. Bekomme ich was zu essen oder nicht. Ist es warm oder kalt. 1,5 Stunden nach Eröffnung, gibt's schon wieder nichts zu Essen. Schade, das könnte man besser machen.

Einfach ein schöner Ort um bei einer Wanderung oder Radtour einzukehren. Wunderschöner Biergarten und leckeres Essen.

netter Biergarten für Wanderer. Parkmöglichkeiten sind 15 Min. circa entfernt.

Nach dem Wandern hier eingekehrt. Hatten den Hund dabei es wurde sofort auf das Wasser für den Hund hingewiesen. Wir bestellten einen Gerupften der gar nicht auf der Karte stand aber es wurde sofort zugesagt das dieser gemacht wird. War ganz Toll mit Wildkräuter Zwiebeln usw. angerichtet und war sehr lecker. Perfekt auch da nicht so viel los ist. Radler war Perfekt temperiert.

Idyllische Waldgaststätte! Nicht überrannt, da man(n) & Frau nur zu Fuß oder per Rad hinkommt. Essen frisch, Bier lecker und angenehm abgeschieden.

Richtig schöner und gemütlicher Biergarten im Wald. Essen und Getränke ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Schnitzel 1a! Käsespätzli der Oberhammer! So soll es sein. Kein nerviger Großparkplatz nebenan. KEIN Geschreie bei der Essenausgabe. Man bekommt einen Empfänger mit dezentem Rufton. Eine ruhige Waldgaststätte eben! Für Wanderer, Spaziergänger und Radfahrer genial. Geöffnet Do bis So ab 12 Uhr.

Hier gibt es für den Wanderer (aber auch für den der mit dem Auto fast bis vor die Gaststätte fährt) sehr gute Brotzeiten und einfache, aber leckere Speisen. Sehr gut sind die Bratwürste und die Currywurst aus eben diesen Würsten. Sehr zu empfehlen !
