Would love to go there again to eat

Man muss hier das Gesamtpaket bewerten. Tolle Lage, zünftig und rustikal wie eine Hütte sein muss. Sehr nettes Personal und trotz gut gefülltem Aussenbereich sehr zügig bedient worden. Heiß Getränk heiß, Bier schön kühl und lecker. Brotzeit und Waffeln waren gut. Preis Leistung ist in Ordnung.

Beautiful rustic hut! Unfortunately the price is off! Schnitzel toast and a bottle of wheat for over €30 is quite expensive. The food was delicious, waiting time was about 40 minutes.

Rustic and delicious, plus a friendly staff – highly recommended!

The food is nothing special. No fresh, self-parished schnitzel, but frozen ready-made schnitzel. The boss reprimanded us in a very unfriendly way - we had pulled out a table about 30cm so that we could all sit at the table. Unfortunately, pushing tables really annoys the boss. The first and last time there for us. The waiters were quick and very nice. The hut is beautifully situated on the mountain.

Unfortunately very unfriendly host. You are not allowed to put tables together. Is reprimanded by the host not to do this. The food is overpriced. The schnitzels are frozen goods. The fries were quite good though. But all together 10€ too expensive. We won't go there anymore. Then it's better to eat at the Landschaftsgasthaus Schanze 1. Everyone there is friendly and the food is reasonable for the price.

Stopped at the restaurant on the occasion of a two-day stay at the motorhome parking lot there. The stay leaves mixed feelings. - great parking space with a great view, but a somewhat makeshift outdoor shower with a camera attached above it (!?) The parking space fee of €16 is okay given the location and the included supply and disposal, as well as electricity. - The picture at the restaurant is somewhat more differentiated: - rustic location with fast, friendly and attentive staff. Among other things, we ordered a mushroom cream schnitzel with spaetzle. There was quite a decent portion. Spaetzle and sauce (with plenty of mushrooms) were delicious. The schnitzel presented itself, breaded, in an almost rectangular shape, without the typical bubbles that form in the breading when it is fried. Visually and taste-wise, it reminded me of a convenience product. Sorry, but for the price of just under 24 euros I don't expect any finished products, great location, no matter what. In general, the prices of the food and drinks are at an impressive large-scale level

I can't say much about the service and atmosphere people are talking about here. Upon arrival we had to wait to be assigned to a table??? At a ski hut of all places. Then it takes a long time before someone comes to take orders. First a drink because the waiter didn't have enough time to write down the food. But with the promise that he would be right back. That "so" took a very long time, but he came with the "cheffin" at his side who informed us in loud language that the kitchen would be locked for the time being for the guests currently present because an NRW bus was arriving with 65 guests who had pre-ordered. had. To which our waiter said that he had promised to take our food, but to no avail. (Our appreciation for that!) The chef shouted that her (Mädels) were overloaded by the crowds. Busy that she had accepted and that the waiting staff knew nothing about until then! Conclusion: Madame cheffin therefore believes it is necessary that a busload has priority over all waiting and passing guests. And take it from me, it continued steadily. Nice weather, beautiful place. So a lot of frustration. And incredibly indecent. The staff then got all violent counter complaints. In the future I will look for another beautiful place with a nice view. That has become the Wisent Wildnis a few km away. Beautiful view! And the food was also fine.

The alpine hut is a wonderful place to enjoy nature and the hearty, delicious food, even when it's big The service staff is friendly and tries to fulfill all requests. The large number of people is an expression of the popularity of the alpine hut. You should definitely make a reservation on the weekend so that you can enjoy the time in the hut. We did it and were extremely satisfied. Thanks to the whole team

Great hut, nice and rustic with wonderful and very tasty food. The fried potatoes are particularly recommended as a side dish. The beer tastes very good here too :)

We were there with the motorhome. Nice operators, the place a bit bare and loveless. The view when the cars are gone is beautiful, absolute peace at night. (Unless you're unlucky, like last time, and it's a party, terrible.) It's full during the day. €13 per night, electricity and waste disposal included. It's just a shame that the forest is gone here too. The Alm itself and the food are great, that's why 4 stars

We were there with the motorhome from Friday to Sunday. Everyone very friendly. Absolute peace at night. Price for the location including electricity and water is absolutely ok. O.. Good hiking opportunities. We will be back definitely.

Jägerschnitzel war ein Fertigschnitzel mit zwei Esslöffel Sosse, Salat ohne Geschmack, aber gute Pommes. Dafür war der Preis gesalzen. Für den hätte ich mir ein echtes Schnitzel mit richtig Sosse gewünscht. Die Kellner waren freundlich, dafür zwei Punkte Wir waren oft hier, aber nie mehr.

The location is great, but the food is overpriced - especially for the quality. Rather sobering!

It's just great here, that's why we like to come back again and again. Edit May 2024: Unfortunately it wasn't as quiet as usual on the last visit.

I would like to advise every guest not to eat the inedible schnitzel, this rectangular shaped meat fried for too long, the fries are also hard as stones and my cleaning lady would have done a better job with the hunter's sauce, simply terrible

We went there for a drink. We liked it very much. The service there was good.

We were in the alpine hut with a group on May 1st. It was the day of the big fight in the best weather. The staff was friendly, the kitchen was overloaded but it was delicious. The point of criticism is that my schnitzel with side dish wasn't filling. In comparison, the crust felt like 50% more food. The prices were not cheap. For one person you should budget 30 euros for food and two drinks.

Mega!!! We stayed on the motorhome pitch for one night. You're standing on gravel and can use the toilets at the hut all night long. What was a bit of a shame was that the toilets were cleaned for an hour in the morning and were not accessible. It would be better to put up a notice because we really had a certain need at that time 😉 In the evening we stopped at the alpine hut and had a great meal. The portions are amazing, very good value for money. Overall, we can only recommend the hut, uncomfortable, super friendly and our dogs were also warmly welcomed.

If you sell frozen schnitzel pellets out of the box at a high price (schnitzel with fried potatoes for 23.00 euros), then even the delicious fried potatoes are of no use. So the catering industry doesn't have to be surprised if the restaurants remain in good condition.

We stopped there today and were welcomed very friendly and openly. Our dogs weren't a problem at all either. The young man who served us was very competent and attentive. There was a problem with a dish but the response was very good and the criticism was accepted openly. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend the alpine hut.

Hello and good day, Today we had dinner with 4 people at the Almhütte Schanze. We all had schnitzel - they were all okay. The deduction is only for price-performance. When the cheapest pork schnitzel costs over €21, something really has to come along. I liked the quantity! Service was really friendly and good - the only thing that wasn't asked during the meal was whether everything was okay or whether you would like something to drink. The ambience is like being on a mountain pasture in the Alpine region - I like it!

Great trip on the motorbike, overall really cool and nice, worth it even without skis

At the end of a hiking tour, a good opportunity to sit, both inside and outside. Attentive service, quick service, not exactly cheap but somehow fair. Dogs also get their water here. Reservation makes the plan for the retreat safer!

A nice excursion restaurant in a very nice location. The pea soup is amazing but unfortunately the schnitzels are not made by hand but rather pre-made and just quickly fried. Furthermore, you are initially only presented with the standard menu, where only the hearty dishes are listed. Further menus for low-calorie and vegetarian dishes are only available upon request, which is actually a shame for people who don't know that. Otherwise the restaurant is quite okay.

We took a break for a beer while hiking. Difficult rating for the short time but the ambience and view are great. We would come back with the motorhome and try the food...

We were there spontaneously today, had delicious food and drinks. Waffle, Kaiserschmarren, cappuccino. Everything came quickly, the portions were large and very tasty. My companion only spoke English. That wasn't a problem either and was completely uncomplicated. Prices reasonable. Very pleasant, friendly atmosphere by the fireplace. Happy to come back!

Cozy, warm eatery/ski hut. Also nice without snow. We had a good meal there today; Jägerschnitzel with spazle and ice cream. It's a pity that yesterday we had to pay an extra euro when paying for 2 drinks, because we used a debit card.

Beautiful location in an exceptional location. We were there three times but the staff and owners unfortunately constantly take their excessive demands out on the guests.

It's always wonderful to be in Michael's defense. Hearty, decent meals, delicious beers and a great area for hiking or cycling in the summer. Winter wonderland in winter! Unfortunately, we've bumped our noses many times, even though it's still open according to the website. It's a shame when you arrive with 10 people 1 1/2 hours before the end and are sent away because they arbitrarily close earlier. This way you can drive away guests in the long term.

Die malerische Hütte, eingebettet in die traumhafte Winterlandschaft, bot den perfekten Rahmen für unser Fest. Vom herzlichen Empfang bis zum letzten Tanz war jeder Moment einzigartig. Das Essen war ein Traum – traditionelle Gerichte, die mit Liebe zubereitet wurden und uns allen in Erinnerung bleiben werden. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre der Hütte, mit ihrem warmen Holzinterieur und dem knisternden Kaminfeuer, sorgte für einen unvergesslichen Abend. Die Angestellten waren außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend und haben jede Anforderung mit einem Lächeln erfüllt. Wir danken dem Team der Almhütte Schanze für einen magischen Abend, der unsere Weihnachtsfeier zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht hat. Wir haben super viel Spaß gehabt. Schöner Hüttenabend mit Livemusik. Sehr urig. Ist nur zu empfehlen. Wir haben den ganzen Abend getrunken und ein gutes Essen, für 50 Euro pro Person gehabt.

Es gibt leckeren hausgemachten Kuchen. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, das Ambiente echt urig. Wir kommen wieder.

Leider haben wir pech gehabt. Außgerechnet heute war 1/3 Traktoren defekt, weshalb unser Planwagen nochmal los musste um eine andere Gruppe zu holen, obwohl in Anschluss die Fakelwanderung beginnen sollte. Von uns wurde verlangt bei -5° ca 30-45 min zu warten... Wir haben nicht gewartet und sind bereits los gelaufen, Bei Ankunft die eigentlich mit Glühweinempfang beginnen sollte, war noch noch nicht fertig und Einlass war auch erst um 17:00 also nocheinmal 30 min warten dieses Mal aber unter Heizstrahlern. Durften dann 15 Minuten früher herein um anschließend von der,ich behaupte mal Servicechefin, auf unsere Kritik mit gegen Kritik zu stoßen. Wir hätten warten müssen.... Kaum Verständnis für uns. Kein bisschen kritikfähig. Essen allerdings sehr gut! Und die anderen Servicekräfte waren auch sehr gut und zuvorkommend. 3 Sterne in dieser Kategorie nur wegen der vermutlichen "Chefin"
