I arranged to meet there for a spontaneous coffee on a Sunday morning (without a reservation) and was extremely surprised at how full the place was. All the other guests were here for the - probably extremely popular - breakfast buffet, including many birthday parties, because the song "Happy Birthday" was playing through the speakers every 10 minutes. Luckily we got 1 small table right at the entrance. The service was very nice, very present and took all the fuss with a lot of humor. Our spontaneous meeting was still very relaxed and pleasant and we were able to talk in peace. I would love to come back.

I've never experienced anything like that before. Service was very friendly but after that everything went down the drain... food was sparse... before that they even wanted to take our cutlery away... until we told the good woman that we were still waiting ....then the drama continued. In the middle of the meal we had to pay (by a new waitress again) and then it got loud. The employees were screaming at each other.....and after that we had a conversation with him Manager" that evening there was only a discussion and one of the employees was clearly looking for a beating....we then left...but I won't be coming back. I was often with you...but that's not possible...my friends were on my advice to you, but that was your bottom drawer.....and just because we are onkelz fans???????you shouldn't use the left pack to serve the customer...me I'll bring you some glue... as they're in better hands... and we wouldn't have to pay in the middle of the meal, you wouldn't have seen a cent

We and 2 other tables were literally checked out. 2 staff members were very very unfriendly. Yesterday's shift manager was unable to properly clarify the situation. Food could be ordered and paid for. Eating in peace, let alone asking for a second drink, was not possible. And this happened to 2 other tables yesterday. Forgotten souvenirs from another table were labeled a deck and thrown in the trash!!!? The food would have been very tasty if you could have finished it. A second visit never again...

Damn unfriendly service. This makes it very uncomfortable to sit there when spoken to (by groups of different people) The only answer is “we talk like that to each other and not to them”. Well, if guests want to sit with you in peace and eat + chat, you don't want to hear each other talking sloppily to each other.

Was there yesterday with 5 other people in Dortmund and was disappointed. The staff was rude to anyone who wore an uncle shirt (like us) - you were really dismissed. Suddenly they were cashing in and asked to leave because they wanted to close. The shift manager even became really rude to us when we complained about the rudeness - he should have been just as polite as we remained. It's sad that you're unfairly pigeonholed

It's just being processed here. The service staff comes once to take the order and only after a long wait, bring the drinks and that's it. And if you then want to pay, you have to ask people about it at least twice until someone finally comes.

The service was the best😃and also took time for a little chat. The baked potato with salad was very good and the coffee afterwards too 😃

Very tasty breakfast here on a Saturday. The buffet is very large, there are many different dishes and there is something for everyone. Everything is always filled up very quickly, which is of course great as a customer. There is no free juice here, only one at the start of breakfast, otherwise you have to order something from the menu. We can't do that, but okay. Toilets in great condition as there was a man responsible for cleanliness. Especially at peak times, breakfast or evening, I think the restaurant is very good.

We had to wait 20 minutes and ask inside twice to place our order. The only waitress in the outside area at the time apologized to us very succinctly and continued to ignore us. Luckily, other waitresses came too. The breakfast buffet is not suitable for vegans.

There were 4 of us at Alex today. The waitress initially just asked one of us if she would like something to drink and then left for the time being. After we had chosen something from the menu, I had to call her over again to pick up the other drinks and food. The service was really neither friendly nor accommodating. After we got the food and drinks, we weren't served any further and then finally asked for the bill. The Caesar salad was really sparse for its price, the ice cream was good. Unfortunately there was no tip today.

Apple juice spritzer 0.3 l: Served lukewarm, tasted more like water than apple juice. 3 pieces of ice cream hardly cooled at all, instead watering it down even more. And that for 4.80 euros! The waffle with chocolate ice cream and banana was very tasty.

We go to the chain quite often in different cities. Also in Oberhausen Yes, there are definitely not always good days but this time we were very disappointed. Among other things, we ordered the nachos, what we got seemed to be the rest of a bag. In total there were maybe 5 whole pieces in the shell, the rest were all just small pieces, on average a centimeter in diameter to smaller. Of course, you usually eat nachos with your hand, but the fork provided had its purpose. There was no other way to eat. We rarely complain about food, but we had to complain. What we got back was the same thing only with the rest of the bag. The waitress was of course less enthusiastic but had no ambition to please us either. What annoys me the most is that I didn't take a photo to prove that I wasn't exaggerating.

We were there for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday. The selection was okay, I missed a fish platter, but maybe that was already gone. The staff was very friendly. Small price trap - drinks other than orange juice are subject to a surcharge, and coffee isn't even included. Apart from that, the coffee tastes terrible, I returned the full cup. However, a breakfast without coffee is basically over. The food was OK apart from the dessert yoghurt, the bacon depending on what was going on, the first batch was great, really crispy, the next batch was unfortunately too short in the pan and wobbly. the pancakes with hot cherries were great. Roll selection was OK. Croissants great. What really pisses me off, however, is that the table was totally sticky, which is pretty disgusting. The request to wipe the table was not complied with on the grounds that the sticky was due to the cleaner and the table was clean.

Went for a walk in CentrO today on Sunday. We then quickly decided to stop at Alex's terrace because a table in the front row was free. We ordered a coffee and a cappuccino. After taking a look at the cake menu, out of curiosity I ordered a piece of cake consisting of cream cheese and red-colored sponge cake. Anyway, it looked interesting. When I ordered it was pointed out to me that the cake was very powerful. And that's the way it was. Also very sweet! As good as it looked visually, the taste took some getting used to. Well, it was an attempt after all. Everything else is, in the truest sense of the word, a “matter of taste”. We then paid €12.5 for the three parts mentioned. Everyone can judge for themselves whether it is cheap or not.

Nice location with a view of the water. Very tasty pizza with a fluffy edge. For us there was a bit too much cheese on the pizza, otherwise everything was great. We waited a while for the pizza but then we were all able to eat it together, which was okay.

We went here for brunch today on our wedding anniversary. And we were totally thrilled. Huge selection, good quality, fair prices and great service. And all of this in a very cozy atmosphere - what more could you want!

We easily got a table for four people. The selection on the menu is sufficient. Vegan and non-vegan dishes available. The food came to the table hot, which is very good for such a large restaurant. The food was tasty. The staff friendly and attentive. The price was reasonable. Overall it was noisy inside. It's not quite as comfortable. But that's not unusual for such a large location

It's quite ok. What really bothered us was that it was way too loud there. Almost like being in a cafeteria. The food is okay too.

Sandra, the shift manager, was extremely unfriendly! Out of 28 people, 7 didn't order anything and they had to go!!! I ask the management to be able to hold a seminar there for better customer discussions!

we have visited this restaurant 3 times in the 10 we have been in germany .. the food is delicious and reasonably priced ..the burgers are among the best we have tasted .. an extensive drinks menu again reasonably priced .. the star of the restaurant is the staff warm friendly and very efficient .. wonderful place to enjoy a meal

So we thought Alex was super good, everything was super good, no matter whether it was eating or drinking, the staff was also super good, but you shouldn't go or drive there if it's very crowded then it can happen that the staff can mix things up It's too busy like ours, the staff mixed up the order and brought us the wrong food twice, but otherwise everything is super good and very friendly. I can only recommend cwriter if it's not too full then it's too stressful for that Staff and then mistakes can happen but otherwise everything is great 👍 👍

Restaurant Alex bij Centro in Oberhaussen. We komen er vaker. Lekker ontbijten volgens een all you can eat principe. Voor elk wat wils. Koude gerechten, warme gerechten, brood, beleg, toetjes en dat voor een schappelijke prijs. Erg lekker. Het enige wat ik als minpuntje zou kunnen noemen is dat als ik het vergelijk met andere restaurants je daar ook jus d'orange / vruchtensap kunt pakken. Hier krijg je het 1e glas cadeau, eventuele volgende mag je bestellen. Desondanks komen we er graag.

Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. The basil in the lemonade was no longer fresh and therefore looked unappetizing. We were definitely missing garlic and olive oil with the bruschetta, it was totally bland overall, and the tomatoes didn't taste like anything. Finally, our ice cream dessert was served with a fork. (That alone wouldn't have been a bad thing, but in this case it added the cherry on top) Although we expressed our disappointment with the service, no further questions were asked about what we didn't like or what could have been improved. Instead we were left sitting at the table with an unempathic comment. It's a real shame, because the ambience was definitely impressive. For us that was the last visit there.

I had a hair in my burger, after I reported this to the waitress I was offered and prepared a new burger. That's all well and good, but they didn't even apologize for it, I didn't think it was that great. The breakfast/brunch buffet is perfect to start the day. The selection is more than very good. Whether rolls or croissants, savory and sweet spreads, sausage and cheese, tomatoes, mozzarella, scrambled / fried eggs, even fried potatoes. There is something for everybody. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly. Always worth a visit.

To be honest, the food wasn't that tasty. My husband ordered a chicken schnitzel and got a turkey schnitzel. My sweet potato fries and my kid's fries were cold. Our friends' children also had fries, but unfortunately 1 of 2 fries was cold. Otherwise service was very quick. What I remember positively was that the toilets were very clean.

After waiting 10 minutes, even though there was nothing going on, we left.

We had brunch and couldn't eat anything all day. We both had stomach pains. The dishes had unknown tastes. The hygiene in the kitchen was probably super bad. But the waitress was a great friend and kind. We cannot recommend it.

Today I stopped by a café with my family-in-law to relax. Even though it looks very crowded you can still find a seat. The waiters quickly turned to us and fulfilled all our requests. The drinks all came to the table fairly quickly and our freshly baked waffles arrived shortly afterwards.

Today on May 19th we simply enjoyed a flawless and wonderful time at Alex Oberhausen on the promenade. Especially since we had a four-legged friend with us. The service employees Kelesh, Melanie and Kevin deserve special mention, simply top! Above-average work and particularly animal-friendly, that's something you just rarely experience!
