The only problem was… Bad dour :( smelly…

The drinks didn't taste very good. The food was okay. We asked to take the leftovers with us, and instead of packing them up for us, they gave us a cardboard box and we had to pack them ourselves. So, really overrated. Despite that, the waiters were very nice.

Breakfast is amazing! Lots of choice and very tasty. The price-performance ratio is perfectly fine. The waitstaff are friendly and attentive, even when it gets busy.

I arrived at 9:15 PM, although Google listed the opening time as 11:00 PM. When I asked for a table to eat, I was told that this was "not possible" because the restaurant closed at 9:45 PM. When I pointed out that it was only 9:15 PM, I was simply told that the last round of drinks had already been served. Overall, a very disappointing experience; the stated opening hours do not match the actual service. Not recommended.

We went to Alex for brunch with friends and will definitely be back soon. The buffet is plentiful, varied, and offers something for everyone. The pancakes and bacon were delicious, and the scrambled eggs were fluffy and creamy. The service was also excellent. Since my husband has mobility issues, they quickly cleared a table near the buffet and assigned us another one. It was the perfect spot because the buffet was just a short walk away, allowing my husband to easily assemble his own plate. Next time we go for brunch, he would definitely choose this table again. All in all, a wonderful brunch in a lovely setting with excellent service.

A very extensive breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, the different types of sausage weren't separated. It would be great if the meats were separated and labeled accordingly. Otherwise, everything was excellent!

Great food. It was absolutely delicious! We couldn't find our table, but a member of the staff immediately helped us. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely, but a bit too loud for my taste when it was busy.

We got a great spot for two without a reservation! Since we were waiting for Kerstin Ott's concert to start, we ended up spending quite a bit of time at ALEX and had plenty of time – something we were particularly interested in, as we're "in the business." Okay, folks – the schnitzels definitely aren't hand-pounded, but frozen – they admit it, and it's perfectly fine for the price! But everything was nicely presented and tasted great... and we especially want to commend the service – according to the bill, Danial served us. He was absolutely friendly, courteous, quick, and checked if everything was alright – but all the colleagues we saw were also always trying their best to cope with the influx of guests. One criticism: the young man at reception was often in the bakery area for a while, and people at the entrance had to wait – but we think it wasn't his fault, but rather that he always "had" something to do, because he kept hurrying back to the reception area in a friendly manner. There might still be room for improvement – ​​otherwise, we enjoyed a wonderful time in a top-notch location and are already looking forward to April 2026 – the MPK concert – and this time we'll definitely make a reservation! We were there on October 24th with a small group for coffee. The atmosphere was lively but otherwise pleasant. Great view and a good opportunity to visit the garden. Some of the food was almost a loss leader, but otherwise the prices were average, certainly not overpriced considering the location. The service was also nice, friendly, and attentive. The restrooms are available for a donation. We're already looking forward to the winter garden.

It was busy, so we had to wait a bit longer for the food. But it was worth it! There were four of us and we had four delicious dishes. The view is very cool. There's a fee to use the restroom in the building.

Hello, I thought long and hard about whether I should post something, but it still annoys me! I was really disappointed by Alex. I had booked specifically to have a nice evening. The seating was so close together that no one could get up without scaring everyone at the next table away. The food arrived cold at our table an hour later. When I complained to the waiter, he just said it was pretty full today!!! We ate it cold because we were really hungry. It's a shame, it tasted really good. We skipped dessert. We didn't want to wait so long again. The waiters were overwhelmed and just jumping around, and I felt sorry for them. So maybe a few less tables! It's a shame, the food is really okay. The concept just needs to be rethought!!!

Nice, very full and also sometimes strange smells

The atmosphere of the place is the only thing I really loved. The food I had unfortunately was pretty mediocre and service was poor, no one checked on us to see if we needed something ! It’s a nice place to come just for the view and maybe drinks.

Simply disappointing! We had to change seats three times and ask three times if we could still get water for the dog. Everything was completely hectic. The appetizer arrived almost at the same time as the main course, and we were practically rushed. The staff is unfriendly and overwhelmed. The food is okay, but it used to be much better.

We had reserved a table for 10 people on Saturday evening. From the time we ordered the food until it arrived at the table, we waited over an hour. Every meal was so cold that it was an absolute disgrace that it was served like that. When we asked the waiter, he said he couldn't do anything. The price/performance ratio was also an absolute disgrace. For 10 French fries as a side dish, you pay almost €6 extra. They were also completely cold... The background noise in the restaurant was extremely loud. It was difficult to have a conversation. On top of that, all the tables were so close together that you couldn't get up from your chair. I'm sorry, but this was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I just felt completely ripped off. Absolutely not recommended.

I'm thrilled! Making a reservation for 10+ people was easy by phone. The staff was friendly, unobtrusive, and approachable at all times. The Alex is centrally located and easily accessible despite various construction sites in the area. The food (I had schnitzel with mushrooms) was really good and a welcome departure from the usual fryer fare. Very tasty -> compliments to the chef! Okay, the background noise was a bit overwhelming, but honestly; with THIS value for money in such a pleasant setting, I'd definitely come back!

The food itself is good, and the service is relatively attentive—even though we had to wait 20-30 minutes just to order a drink. However, the restaurant is only enjoyable if you're not sitting near the bar or the kitchen. It's already so loud in the restaurant that it's hard to hear each other. Even more unpleasant, however, is how the service staff contribute to the noise: drawers are slammed shut, plates and trays are carelessly thrown around, and they shout at each other. We left the restaurant full at the end, but we were so overstimulated that our mood was ruined. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

I was truly disappointed with my visit to ALEX. We were there to celebrate a birthday in a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately, it wasn't relaxing. It started with the queues from the entrance all the way to the elevators. We were lucky that we were able to walk through because of our reservation. I don't question how long people had to wait in line. When we asked if the "vegan schnitzel" was really vegan, the staff treated us very irritably. Instead of getting a clear answer, we were answered in a sharp tone, as if the question were completely inappropriate. Even with further inquiries, the communication was overall very unprofessional. We had to explain the vegan and vegetarian symbols to the staff. Overall, there was only one friendly waitress. This really shouldn't happen in a restaurant setting, especially when you have special dietary requirements and just want to make sure you order the right thing. Placing an order was a struggle as we were constantly ignored. We waited over an hour for our appetizer. After the main course arrived cold for almost everyone, we decided to skip dessert, fearing we'd have to wait forever again. The food was tasty, though, and beautifully presented. However, anyone who wants to take something home can only do so with a to-go box containing the leftover food. There's no option to order a takeaway meal. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience. In the summer, lunch on the roof terrace was more pleasant.

We went to the restaurant yesterday with a large group, and unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. First, it took an extremely long time for our food to arrive—significantly longer than you'd expect, even with a larger group. When the food was finally served, some of it was already cold. The service was also disappointing. The staff seemed stressed and unfriendly, and questions were answered in a rather annoyed manner. Furthermore, the restaurant was very unpleasant because the entrance door was constantly open, making it cold the whole time. Overall, the experience was disappointing. It's a shame, because the ambiance actually had potential—but poor service, cold food, and an uncomfortable atmosphere don't leave a good impression.

First things first: everyone enjoyed their meal! 😄 It's a very large restaurant, but it was still cozy. The service was friendly and the food came quickly, even though we were a large group (I think more than 50 people) and the restaurant was generally busy. The view is great, and I can imagine the terrace being fantastic in the summer. The restrooms weren't great, unfortunately, but thanks to the friendly cleaning staff, they were clean.

We had delicious smoothie cocktails. The interior of the bar is opulent, yet very tastefully decorated. We sat outside. Here we had a wonderful view of the Frankfurt skyline. We were there on a Friday evening. The crowd was a good mix, from young to old, from groups to dates. Service was friendly and prompt. Payment: There were problems with card payments that evening. Cash was not a problem.

I've been here twice already and always eaten tarte flambée. Today I wanted to try something different and ordered a rump steak. For €28.70, I felt like I only got 10% rump steak – the rest was 40% bread and 50% salad. The drinks are good, but the food – especially the rump steak – is an absolute disgrace and borders on fraud. I would pay €5 at most for what was served. I'd gladly give it zero stars. Never again.

Fantastic location. Located on the rooftop of the Plaza Mall. Large surrounding area for relaxing and strolling. Great cocktails, Japanese chicken bowl, very tasty. However, the takeaway menu was smaller, and the sauces were unfortunately missing.

We went up to sunbathe, and what a great discovery! We enjoyed a bottle of wine and a flammkuchen (a more than acceptable size). The waiter who served us was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant's decor invites you to linger, and the menu is extensive. It's located within Skyline Plaza, so you can park in the lot. If I remember correctly, the first hour is €2. Enjoy!

Anyone who can find such a prime location as a business must offer the appropriate quality. French fries with truffle mayo were exclusive. Anyone who thinks about prices is in the wrong place.

Located on the roof of the Skyline Plaza, with a magnificent view of the surrounding skyscrapers, right next to the Skyline Garden. A coffee, a drink, a delicious meal, and you'll feel at home in an oasis of calm in a very lively city. I'll most likely be back... the free green oasis of the Skyline Garden is right next door.

The food was very good. Pasta was a bit too spicy. The schnitzel, fries, and mushrooms were excellent. The salad lacked a bit of dressing. The service was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance could be better. In the afternoon, the sun beats down on most of the seating areas. Unfortunately, it's very expensive.

You order curry and simply expect a good portion, like you'd expect in a restaurant. What came was a handful of rice. The portion was okay... but it could be better. Especially since you get more for the same price in an Indian restaurant. I certainly don't want to talk about the schnitzel. I'm not paying 18 euros for pressed meat... the fried potatoes, on the other hand, were good. The drinks, especially the lemonades, are tasty but, again, a bit overpriced. Overall, everything was fine. The staff is very nice. But perhaps they should make sure that no birds fly into the restaurant. It's very cute, but... unhygienic... and unfortunately, the poor things fly against the window...

I had a relaxed French breakfast. The coffee was delicious and the croissant was good. The waitress who greeted me (a blonde woman whose name I don't know) greeted me very warmly and made me feel welcome. The waitress who served me (Ulfat) was very friendly and had excellent manners.

There were five of us at Alex and we ordered three burgers, two other dishes, and five large drinks. Unfortunately, the food was a bitter disappointment: All three burgers had extremely dry meat that seemed more like it had been pressed from a meat paste, lacking any structure, consistency, or bite, as you'd expect from a high-quality patty. Instead, it tasted like inferior frozen food that had been carelessly prepared. At prices over €20 per burger, this is absolutely unacceptable. The sides were also a disappointment. We upgraded to "Alex Deluxe Fries," which, according to the description and picture, were supposed to be long wedges. However, we were served regular, wide-cut fries. A clear deception for an extra charge. The drinks, unfortunately, were the same: We ordered 0.5L "homemade" drinks. While the glasses had this capacity, at least 0.3 liters of them contained crushed ice and mint leaves. The Fanta also tasted extremely watered down. At over €6 per glass, that's outrageous. We run two restaurants ourselves and know how important quality and fairness to our guests are. It's absolutely disgraceful when fellow restaurant owners rip off their customers so blatantly. We will definitely not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant.

As always, it's a pleasure to walk into the Alex in the Skyline Plaza and walk out again after 20 minutes without receiving a "good morning," "good day," or "good evening" from the waiters, let alone an without an approximate time when and if you'll receive a service in the future. If you want to experience a culinary service experience in the metropolis of Frankfurt, I would recommend stopping by the Alex on the fourth floor of the Skyline Plaza. The service is unparalleled in this world. I'm wondering if the management probably considers it a "service culture"! Best regards

Relaxed coffee drinking is something else entirely!!! There was such a racket coming from the scullery that it seemed as if they were just throwing the dishes and cutlery around! Does that really have to happen???

This is a great place for brunch. Everything is well laid out, not too close together. The dishes are labeled and clearly separated. The food is constantly being refilled, and even when we arrive just before the end, as is often the case, there's still plenty of everything.

A lovely restaurant in the Skyline Plaza, which I used for breakfast the last two days. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially the tall young man with wavy hair (I suspect an Arab). I come from the restaurant industry myself, and I've noticed that there are too few staff for the size of the place. Waiters have to seat guests, take orders (at breakfast, guests get their food from the buffet), fetch drinks from the bar and serve them at the table, clear dishes, and take the payment. It's too much. Is it due to a staff shortage, or are they unable to find suitable staff? It's a shame, really. I think if waiters had more time for their guests, they would generate more revenue, especially for drinks. Unfortunately, I only got a chance to order a coffee; it took so long to bring it that I decided not to order a second one. I'd like to point out again that the staff were always polite, despite the stressful situation.

The only good thing is the location. The Skyline Plaza stairwell has reeked of garbage for months, unfortunately reaching right up to Alex's door. The food is nothing special, service OK. The atmosphere is okay, but the smell outside makes you lose your appetite. It's also quite drafty here in winter.

We reserved a table in advance and were thrilled with the food and especially the service! The staff really go above and beyond to serve their guests. The food was delicious and the atmosphere simply lovely. A tip for anyone planning to visit this restaurant: Please reserve a table in advance! This helps enormously with staffing planning. If you don't reserve and then expect 10 waiters to be on hand, just waiting for your order, you'll definitely be disappointed with the service here.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't good; the bruschetta is NOT recommended. The food is also very expensive. The service was quite good, and the restaurant's location was perfect. However, I wouldn't recommend eating here. It's perfect for drinks and conversation.

Beautiful ambiance. The location on the roof terrace is truly top-notch. If you've never been there before, it takes a while to get your bearings and find your way, but everything is relatively well signposted in the shopping center below. The food was also really good, although the prices are somewhat steep. It's definitely worth it considering the location and Frankfurt itself. The staff seemed busy and service wasn’t the most attentive or efficient. The food was okay, but lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall, it’s a good spot to enjoy, but not the best choice if you’re looking for top-notch food and service.

The food was great, with a wide selection. However, some of the hot dishes were a bit cold, and the small desserts from the fridge were so-so in terms of taste. Nevertheless, I'll keep coming back and highly recommend it if you want a long, indulgent breakfast. It would be great if they included a hot drink (latte macchiatto, cappuccino, coffee, etc.) with breakfast.
