Elaine's Greenhouse in Frankfurt am Main

The atmosphere in this place is definitely the highlight, then comes the food, then unfortunately the service. We waited for our dishes far too long for a restaurant of this centrality and price. Nevertheless, me and my business colleagues had a wonderful evening here. Greenhouses really do offer a wonderful atmosphere. Perfect for a harmonious dinner. I had the salmon fillet and it was absolutely delicious.

There's no doubt about it – the chef here knows his craft. The starters of tuna tartare and baked feta cheese were particularly good, and the main courses even surpassed them – see pictures. A lovely visit to Frankfurt.

I was there recently. The ambiance is good, the food is okay. The staff seemed rather aloof to me (you can't use the word "arrogant" because otherwise it's apparently defamatory). It's a shame, it had a lot of potential. Note: We only have so many great reviews, as all the negative ones are deleted due to "defamation."

A super unpleasant vibe from the moment I walked in. I run a social club (average age: 25-year-old women) and planned an event, registered it several times, and even posted on Instagram. There were countless questions, drama, and arrogant and unfriendly behavior on site. Only when I presented my reach and numbers did the tone become more pleasant (absolutely unacceptable...) We were then promptly kicked out because "that's completely unacceptable." The place was occupied by 3-4 tables, there was nothing going on, and there was a huge fuss. We left, and I can't recommend anyone go in there. We didn't eat or order anything else because it made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. I've done over 35 events, but never experienced anything like this. It's a real shame...

The atmosphere is very comfortable for gathering with friends, a little pricey but the food is very satisfying.

This place has an amazing atmosphere. I loved the vibe, but I thought the food was just OK. The rice in the dish I ordered was raw, so I asked them to replace it. They, of course, replaced it and it was perfect the second time, but I felt the experience was affected by it. Otherwise, it's a cool spot.

I just got off the plane, not in my best clothes. This place was kind of fancy, and the employees (especially one) made it clear with their glances. The food was spectacular and very expensive. The atmosphere was very nice. These places make you want to come back, but maybe when I've changed my clothes or they treat you differently because of it.

We only wanted to go in for drinks. At the entrance, we (6 people) were informed that they only accept dine-in guests, but made an "exception" for us (the restaurant was maybe 50% full). The gentleman who served us had a rather unpleasant personality. While taking our order, he grinned strangely at a drink order and looked at his colleague at the bar. When he saw our questioning looks, he said something about an "inside joke." It was a very uncomfortable situation for the person who ordered the drink. The drinks and snacks (edamame and bread with butter) we ordered were very good. The ambiance in the greenhouse was also very pleasant. Unfortunately, the restrooms were no longer clean, and empty tables were also cleared rather hesitantly. Unfortunately, another negative aspect was that, regardless of the group size, you could only pay together for one table. Additionally, the price for an additional tomato cream for the bread was listed as €7.50 instead of €3.50 (unfortunately, I only noticed it later). Finally, we were greeted with a silent farewell as we left the restaurant. PS: Also interesting was the price of a 0.75l water at €9.80 compared to a cocktail at €14.

A lovely restaurant with delicious, but slightly overpriced, food. The service, however, is particularly poor. We were having a pleasant evening, but a waiter with a mustache and edgy glasses was so unfriendly that we wanted to leave immediately, despite having a reservation. He used boisterous, inappropriate gestures to ask me to take my bag from a nearby chair and otherwise proved to be anything but polite and helpful. The other, younger waiters were all polite and courteous, but unfortunately couldn't dispel the vibe their colleague had created.

We had dinner at the Green House. The menu sounded good, but the dishes we ordered didn't meet our expectations in terms of taste or appearance. Given the high prices, the food must be expertly prepared – the Barborie duck was completely tough and cooked completely undercooked. The tofu was completely flavorless, and the feta cheese was baked on a baguette that was so old and hard that you couldn't cut or eat it. Cocktails were good, but water was extortionate at €9.80. Service was friendly and very attentive. But we unfortunately felt like we were in a sales and upselling show. Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience.

Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food is not great. Very expensive for low quality. The meat, lamb and duck were both overcooked and dry. Service was ok, even if the waiter forgot to mention that the chosen side dish was not available. It's a place I would only recommend for a drink.

Anyone who serves their guests with such arrogance should probably stay at home. The location would be phenomenal, but the demeanor of the staff completely ruins it - what a shame!

Beautiful and well decorated location. The aperitif and mocktail were very tasty. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. Now to the most important part, the food. As we were a large group, we were offered a set menu with various starters and had to choose a main course in advance. The starters were very tasty. We had very good bread with salted butter, tuna and steak tartare, salad nicoise and courgette carpaccio. For the main course I had the miso salmon. Unfortunately, it was quite dry and didn't really taste of miso and the side dishes weren't good either. The fregola sarda was very salty and tasted like vegetable broth and some of the bimi broccoli was also very over-salted, and I normally like to add salt. The food on the plate was also very poorly presented. For others, the side dish of chips was simply forgotten and therefore arrived too late. The dessert, chocolate mousse, was nice. Overall, I would have expected more from the food in this price category and don't think the price-performance ratio is appropriate. The music was quite loud at the end and I couldn't really have a conversation, but that's a matter of taste.

The LOCATION and setting is very nice. Tables and seats are very close to each other though, so it feels a bit crammed. The FOOD was good, but not exceptional and portions (e.g. the salmon) were rather small. Especially considering the prices it's not really a good deal in terms of value for money. My assessment of SERVICE is a bit ambivalent. The younger staff was attentive and very friendly, the head server (?) seemed arrogant and was rude to the other servers; he made me feel unwelcome.

I’ve lived in Frankfurt for 10 years, and the service that Melissa provided at a simple girls’ lunch date was outstanding. She was a wait staff who cared about the customer experience (which is rare in this town) and that made all the difference! We were a group of 4 and we ordered the duck, risotto and Korean fried chicken. The food was alright, but Melissa’s customer-centricity was certainly the highlight!

We became aware of the restaurant through a recommendation on TikTok and had great expectations. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was really attentive and friendly - high praise for that. Unfortunately, the taste of the food didn't impress us. We had the sashimi as a starter and the truffle risotto and the tuna salad as main courses - unfortunately the taste of everything fell well short of our expectations. It's a shame, because the overall package with atmosphere and service was promising.

Highly recommended! :-) We had an event on site with 40 people. Food 10/10, service excellent and a TOP DJ who made the evening perfect. The whole organization and support was also great. Highly recommended. Price-performance very good.

The atmosphere is really nice and something completely different. Service was also very friendly and on the ball. The food was really good and tasteful. Here, however, only 4 stars because I felt the finishing touch was missing in terms of taste. All in all, definitely worth a visit!

Elaine's Greenhouse is a super beautiful location in the heart of the city, yet still quietly situated in the courtyard. It's a bit too noisy in the evenings for me personally, but it's perfect for lunch. The service is always very friendly, professional, and uncomplicated (shoutout to Melissa—that goes especially to you!). And the food is not only delicious, but also a safe and great alternative, especially for people who—like me—have to eat gluten-free. Various veggie options are available, which is also a big plus for me. I definitely recommend it 🫶

Service: Rather on the slow side, inattentive, and unfortunately, one of our servers seemed cold and arrogant, was chewing while serving, and took our water bottle even though it still had some left in it. The sourdough bread could have been fresher, the salted butter could have been saltier, the duck skin was partly crispy but partly rubbery, and the mushroom filling in the pasta didn’t taste like mushrooms at all. Unfortunately we didn't have a nice evening. The service was unfriendly and extremely stressful. The plates were slammed on our table. It was also very loud in the restaurant. The food was somewhat edible. Unfortunately, some things weren't on the plate as described in the menu. When the chef de service asked us if we liked it, he immediately gave himself the answer: Yes, for sure! We were not allowed to have our say. The price-performance ratio is also really bad. For us a first and last time in Elaine's Greenhous.

The service was really very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Even though the store was full, we received our food after a short wait. The Bimi Bini was extremely tasty and perfectly seasoned, the young broccoli cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the salmon (actually the main ingredient of the dish) was not, fried for too long and therefore dry. The tuna tartare was tasty, but not entirely fresh. Overall, the food was so good that I would come back. But not because of the ambience - it's narrow, it's loud, very loud! As friends we were able to put our heads together, I would definitely not go here for a first date.

Very unreliable!!! We had reserved a table for the whole family at Christmas. This reservation was confirmed to us 3 times by phone with Christmas dinner included. On site it was said that there would be no Christmas dinner and the reservation could not be found. We were sent away. Thanks for that!

We were at the Greenhouse yesterday and I have to say that overall I didn't find it that convincing. The food itself was really tasty, but I actually went somewhere else to eat a little something because there was so little and the price was so high... I can understand that location and staff influence the price, But €35 for some salmon and broccoli is pretty steep. My friend had a lavish salad, which also cost €20. In terms of taste, as I said, it would really be a 10/10, but if it doesn't fill you up, it always becomes difficult for me personally when it comes to rating it.

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately unfriendly staff. We were asked not to use our cell phones in a loud tone. In addition, you couldn't be left alone. By relaxing we mean something different...

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt leider überhaupt nicht. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich. Ich hatte ein kleines Stück Lachs und paar Brokkoli-Röschen für 35 Euro. Der Aperetif war wässrig. Leider gar nicht zu empfehlen.

The price-performance ratio was not right. The presentation of the food was tasteless and the food only tasted good when it was fried. It would be acceptable for a fast food restaurant, but not for a fine dining restaurant.

On a recommendation we went to Elaine’s Greenhouse on a Saturday evening. This was my first visit to an “Elaine’s” location. The greenhouse is visually really beautiful and the atmosphere, we sat outside, was also romantic and cozy. With the fairy lights and indirect lighting you immediately feel at home. It wasn't really busy as we had a reservation quite late. Unfortunately, as some reviews have already described, the service wasn't really attentive. We were only asked once (!) for drinks after staying for just under 2 hours. You get the impression you had to ask to be served. None of the waiters seemed really friendly, which is a shame. At first I understood because it seemed as if the service staff were understaffed. Later, however, there were significantly more people there and you still felt “left alone”. An order was completely forgotten and we had to make ourselves known. Too bad... In addition, the toilets were in a catastrophic condition. There were no towels in the women's toilet and it was very "dirty". The men's toilet as well... an absolute no go for me. However, the food was really delicious, I had the salmon fillet with Bimi vegetables. However, for €35 it is a fairly manageable portion. Good thing we had the sourdough bread with hummus beforehand, which was also really tasty. So a real 10/10 here. I think it's a real shame, but I guess this was my first and last visit here, because the price/performance ratio isn't right for me at all. Nice place to post nice pictures on social media and very tasty food, but that's not enough for me personally. Maybe I was just unlucky and will stop by again...

Unfortunately the food is not up to par. The balance is not right, the cooking times are not controlled and the combinations are not fully thought out. As many people say, the tables are small and too low, which makes them uncomfortable. The service was very nice and tried hard (despite the lack of experience).

This great place is located in the middle of the urban jungle. Elaine’s Greenhouse is really something different and you feel very comfortable here surrounded by high-rise buildings. There is plenty of seating, especially outside. The service is very friendly and attentive and never intrusive. On the menu you will find a small selection of different starters, main courses and desserts. The taste convinced us. The prices are slightly higher. All in all, a very successful concept.

Glasshouse surrounded by tall office buildings. We were only planning to have wine and some snacks but the offer was not too diverse. Only one type of rose wine you can order by the glass. Atmosphere was nice but very crowded. Make sure you reserve ahead.

The ambience is something new and quite nice, but the tables are far too small to eat at, and the plates and portions are also very small. The menu is quite compact, there were only 5 main courses and a few more starters. There was no common thread, from Asian to American, everything was there. The food didn't appeal to me either in terms of taste or the way it was presented, and the service wasn't what you would normally expect at such prices. For four starters, two glasses of wine and a lemonade, I found €135 to be much too much considering the points mentioned above. I'm just used to something different in this price segment.

Then we waited over an hour for the main course, then sat there with the bill for another 10 minutes - on a day when half of the seats were still unoccupied. The service appears to be trying, but seems to be completely uncoordinated. Somehow everyone does everything and at the same time so much is forgotten. The food was ok, but for the price it was too tasteless and nothing special. However, I can recommend the bread, really delicious.

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and professional. Very child-friendly, we were traveling with a baby in a stroller, space was made and we were able to eat in peace. The restaurant looks much nicer in pictures, it is too small. The staff very arrogant, we wanted to book a reservation for 10 people 3 days in advance for lunch and it was “totally impossible”. Unfortunately very disappointing

What a beautiful restaurant. When I'm visiting Frankfurt, I love coming here. The restaurant is hidden away between the soulless Volkenkratzer and is something like the counterpart to the tall buildings. The restaurant has the charm of a botanical winter garden. Very personal and friendly, I've always felt very comfortable here. The menu impresses with quality rather than quantity. I think I captured the ambience well in my photo. I also found the other guests pleasant. And now that it's summer, I'll soon be spending an evening on the terrace in front of the restaurant. Best wishes and see you soon.

I wanted to eat here with my friend yesterday, but after we were ignored by the waiter for over 15 minutes and they couldn't even offer us a seat, let alone give us a quick look and just let us know that it might take a moment, we just left again. The restaurant wasn't even half full. I don't want to know what the service is like when the restaurant is full. A pity!

We reserved a table in advance for lunchtime. After the initial calm, the remaining tables also filled up. The restaurant is somewhat hidden and impresses with both the “glass house” style and the interior design. Our service was very friendly and attentive. The food was brought without a long wait and was very good.

The atmosphere and the restaurant itself were very nice, unfortunately the service was incredibly bad, which was a shame. They were friendly, but unfortunately really bad at their jobs. We had to ask for our drinks several times until we got them on the third attempt and unfortunately my food was completely cold when I got it. However, the tuna tartare was incredibly good, I would come back for that alone.

My visit to "Elaine's Greenhouse" was disappointing. Despite the high prices and the promising description of the restaurant, the food turned out to be more than average and overpriced. What was particularly shocking was the price of €9.50 for a 0.75l bottle of water. I also recommend checking the invoice carefully at the end. In my opinion, the restaurant is not recommended unless you don't know what to do with your money.

Mein Besuch bei "Elaine's Greenhouse" war enttäuschend. Trotz der hohen Preise und der vielversprechenden Beschreibung des Restaurants entpuppte sich das Essen als mehr als durchschnittlich und überteuert. Besonders schockierend war der Preis von 9,50€ für eine 0,75l Flasche Wasser. Außerdem empfehle ich, die Rechnung am Ende genau zu überprüfen und stattdessen nahegelegene Restaurants, wie beispielsweise die L'Osteria zu besuchen, welche günstiger sind und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Ich war Anfang Dezember mit einer Freundin das erste Mal im Greenhouse. Hier ist meine Meinung zu 4 verschiedenen Punkten: Einrichtung/Interieur: Dieser Laden ist einfach nur schön und für das Auge so beruhigend. Nicht viel Schnick-Schnack, perfekt platzierte Pflanzen und die Farbpalette von Blau und Grüntönen sind halt auch einfach meins. Essen: Eine kleine aber absolut feine Auswahl. Wir hatte zur Vorspeise das Avocado Tatar und und Brot mit verschiedenen Dipps. Meine Hauptspeise waren die Ravioli und als ich gefragt habe, ob ich dazu noch Rinderfilet Streifen bekommen könnte wurde mir dieser Wunsch sofort erfüllt. Meine Freundin hatte das Linsengericht welches ich probieren durfte und auch wenn ich kein Fan von Linsen bin, war selbst dieses Gericht (genau so wie meins) unglaublich lecker! Zum Nachtisch hatten wir einen Schokomous(?) weiß ich leider nicht mehr so genau aber das war auch lecker - hat uns jetzt nicht so umgehauen wie die anderen Speisen aber naja, Schokolade ist Schokolade - liebt man halt - oder auch nicht. Personal: Wir wurden von einem jungen Kellner bedient, der sehr aufmerksam war, unsere Gläser nachgefüllt hat, und die leeren Teller so abgeräumt hat ohne dadurch gestört zu werden. Musik: Ich habe oft das Problem, was man eig auch nicht Problem nennen kann, dass mir die Musik nicht gefällt. Bzw. gute Musik hebt meine Stimmung und schlechte mach eig gar nichts und im Greenhouse hat mir die Musik sehr gefallen. Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall auf meinen nächsten Besuch und möchte in Zukunft auch die anderen Locations der Elaine's World besuchen.

To the people who were disappointed with their meals, as in the reviews I have read here on Google, as too pricey, or portions not large enough for the price, you should never go to a restaurant if you are on a budget. Great food requires quality, not quantity. Price should never be considered when fine dining is at hand. I totally recommend this restaurant...

Generally a nice place but I felt the waitress was punished to work there. She took our water and we were obliged to buy a new bottle, was not looking at us and a bit arrogant. A pity for the nice place like this.

We reserved a table for 5 people for yesterday weeks ago. When we arrived at the restaurant at the time we had reserved, we were informed that a group with more people had appeared and there was no room for us. We were also not offered an alternative seat in one of the other restaurants in the group. We were simply dismissed with a “we’re sorry”. This behavior deserves zero stars. Underground and unacceptable.

We had reserved a table for our Christmas dinner in the Greenhouse. We weren't familiar with the Greenhouse itself, but we had all had good experiences with Elaine's Restaurant. The ambience in Elaine’s Greenhouse was great, the food was average, but the service was a disaster. We had already ordered a bottle of still water right at the start and the right aperitif to match the Christmas feeling. Unfortunately, all drinks only came after the meal. There were no more drinks as no one had time to come to the table. A no-go! There was also total unrest and hectic pace. Tables were pushed from back to front, from front to back. You couldn't concentrate on any conversation or even on the food. And last but not least, our neighbor at the table was the lady who had served us before. Together with the (presumably) boss of the establishment, she then comfortably ate her fillet at the table next to us. How can it be that in the midst of this hustle and bustle and overwhelm, the staff sits down at the table and eats?! A small restaurant with three very smart ladies who were completely overwhelmed. This really needs to be worked on urgently! We didn't remember the evening well and it was not only the first time at Elaine's Greenhouse, but also the last time. A pity!

Super schöner Laden, leckeres Essen & zuvorkommende Bedienung - was will man mehr? Eine kleine Oase in der Stadt.

Teil der Elaine-Familie und wohl ausgerichtet auf Business Lunch und Dinner. Ähnlich wie beim Deli gilt auch hier wieder: Gut, aber teuer. Das Brot war lecker, der Auberginen-Salat auch. Gefühlt aber etwas kleine Portionen - gerade für den Preis. Der Cesars Salad mit Rinderfilet Spitzen ist lecker, aber ja … In Summe ist es mir für den Preis zuwenig „wow“. Wenn man aber eingeladen wird, geht es schon mal. Der Service ist gut. Nur eine dringende Bitte an die Verantwortlichen: Es war viel zu eng bestuhlt, bei etwas aktiverem Nebentisch ist es auch schon etwas unangenehm. Schade, ansonsten wären wir länger geblieben.
