Everything was perfect, the best döner in Kiel I say as a Hamburger.

I was very curious to see what the kebab would be like here. There were some critical Google reviews, but many of my friends raved about it. The place was very busy, but the food was still ready quickly. We all had kebabs with falafel. The falafel was delicious, the sauces were amazing, and the salad was fresh. I also thought the bread was very good, and the stuffing made it very easy to eat. Really, really good! A little more sauce on the bottom of the bread would have been nice. But that's just complaining at a high level; it's more a matter of personal taste. The kebab wasn't dry, though. We'll be back. :)

One of the best kebabs in Kiel and the only kebab shop that ensures that the preparation of food and the collection of contaminated money are separated.

I have to admit, I've probably eaten hundreds of kebabs in my life. Never has it been so good and delicious and everything. Simply perfect!

It's a doner kebab with a completely normal taste. The meat is supposedly homemade and delicious, but I don't know what else is supposed to be special about it? For 11.50 euros...? All the doner sizes are the same. It doesn't matter whether you order the children's, regular, or jumbo size. What's the difference...? In the price? That's outrageous. A woman in front of me had two chicken doner kebabs prepared. Mine was next to it. The same size and filling. Then I had all the sauces removed, and the doner was still dry. With four sauces, I looked for sauce. No sauce stains, nothing. Look how dry my doner is! So, they deserve the homemade meat, but that was the last time. And when a lot of people stand there ordering, the doner kebabs get worse because they're serving so many people. You should maintain a certain quality standard, no matter how many people. Next time I will only go to Garips or Sultan

After eating, you can expect an employee or the owner to block the street with their car. (It seems to be common practice. It's their shop and obviously their street, too.) If you then point out that you can't get past properly, you'll be insulted, harassed, and followed/threatened by car. A police report has been filed. The experience of the already bad kebab was taken to a new level with this incident. Truly creepy (we had children in the car).

We had a regular and a seitan durum, and we were both absolutely thrilled. They were the best we've had in a long time. They even offered five vegan sauces—all of which I got :D

First of all: I don't know exactly what it's like inside (ambience, service). I stood outside and waited. My companion said the employees there were okay, but he felt uncomfortable in the shop. Unfortunately, I have to say that this is the first kebab I haven't eaten because of the taste. I had a plain kebab with garlic and cocktail sauce, otherwise a regular kebab with beef (or veal, whatever they call it) and all the vegetables. The vegetables were delicious, the bread was strange. From what I ate and saw, there was hardly any sauce; there was a hint of garlic in the first bite. But the worst part was really the meat. It's dry and flaky and smells and tastes like old, rotten goat (spicy, musty, with a hint of cheese in it). I don't know if it was strange seasoning or poor-quality or even spoiled meat, but my body was extremely resistant to this kebab. My recommendation would be to go somewhere else or at least ask to taste the meat beforehand.

The doner kebab is large, but the meat is dry and overall quite flavorless. There are many better options for the price. I wouldn't go there again.

Personally, as a vegan, I'm generally okay with fries and the like being fried in the same oil as meat, but I wasn't so keen on having several pieces of meat in my portion of fries. Taste-wise, it was okay.

The people work diligently and quickly in the cramped, heat-filled spaces in front of and behind the counter. This was probably due to the fact that the sauce was simply forgotten, even though it was clearly ordered "with everything." It was a bit dry. Oh well.

No, the meat was absolutely terrible. The sauce was a joke. The bread was good and the cut was perfect, so nothing fell out. It's worth the one obligatory star. Luckily, there was a portable toilet right outside, and I had to throw up. My two companions also returned the kebab.

If you want to eat real meat, this is the place for you! The doner kebab proves it's worth the money, and the owners are also very friendly! The Bozna family is world-class, both in service and in preparation!

I was there for the first time recently. My kebab was very tasty. As a good eater, I ordered the large kebab and was quite full afterwards. However, the prices are also high. All in all a good experience and a recommendation from me.

For my taste, the kebab from Alanya is the best in Kiel! Not a standard rotisserie, which you rarely or never get in Kiel and the surrounding area.

Here it's not a typical kebab from an industrial skewer, but layered with fresh dough and that's what gives it the taste. Very tasty, well seasoned, if you want kebab that's where you like it, even if the shop is very small and usually very full. Actually only speaks for itself👍

Unfortunately the beef doner didn't taste good at all. The meat no longer smelled or tasted fresh. But staff was friendly.

Great Dürüm with great beef. Great service, you could spontaneously take three sauces and hot powder and a lot of meat was prepared and personally brought to the place. The murals are humorous, locally patriotic and creatively designed. U.A. with Max Planck, who was probably born in Kiel and apparently invented Planck's kebab constant. :D The price of 8.50 is only fair. The good thing is that chicken costs a few cents less. I will definitely come back on my next visit to Kiel.

Unfortunately for me it's the worst Dürüm I've eaten in Kiel. The flatbread was far too hard and the lack of sauce made the whole thing even drier. Plus everything tasted a bit bland... The meat tastes more like lamb than veal. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I probably won't come back again.

By far the best kebab in the north. Been there regularly as a child, a regular customer since my vocational school days in Kiel and now always a Dürüm whenever I'm in Kiel again. I hope that I can still go there when I retire.

You can really tell that the beef skewer is homemade and is one of the best I've ever eaten in Northern Germany. The homemade Ezme paste gives the Dürüm/Kebab just the right spice that many other establishments lack. Only the Dürüm bread is a bit thin and could be a little fluffier (maybe add some yogurt to the dough?). Otherwise a small but well-renovated shop with an extremely positive couple running it!

The best kebab (of course we have it in Arabic bread) is back in Kiel. Quality meat whose fibers you can feel when chewing and not over-seasoned factory mush like in other kebab shops. The vegetables are finely chopped and, like the sauces, are of the same old, usual quality. Absolute recommendation! If you want kebab in Kiel, then only here!

Really delicious meat...one of the best kebabs in Germany

When I was little, I was already excited about this kebab! Unfortunately, we then moved to Berlin and I now live in the deep south of Germany. All the better when you discover on your way to Scandinavia that the Alanya Grill is back! Still just as delicious as before! The kebab in Dürüm from back then can now be purchased as a jumbo and the bread, meat and sauces are really delicious. By the way, for vegetarians who don't like feta and falafel: At Alanya Grill, "a kebab without meat" (salad, cabbage and sauces in the Dürüm and warmed up on the contact grill as always) tastes very, very tasty! Try it out :) The new ambience is also cool and creates a pleasant atmosphere. For the summer, I could imagine that it might be worth doing a few experiments to make a kebab refreshing even in the heat: e.g. optionally (as a "limited edition" and freely selectable for the customer) pomegranate seeds or pineapple Pieces in the salad, as long as the taste is compatible with sauces and no reductions are to be expected. The worst kebab in Schleswig-Holstein gives meat to old rats for three days

After returning to the tried and tested “family business” concept, the Alanya Grill has not only improved significantly visually - the quality of the food is also impressive again. As usual, the meat skewers are freshly prepared with full dedication, without using mass-produced products. Particularly worth mentioning is the vegetarian version, which is very popular with guests.

Meat tastes like HS and the general store is small with no seats. Overpriced food. Staff is fine.

I always take vegetarian kebab, very tasty, tastes fresh and what I really like is that there is a lot of sheep's cheese in it. My only criticism is that the kebab is only lukewarm and if you take it with you, it is cold when you get home. Service is super friendly and attentive. The ambience is very nicely done, bright and modernly furnished, but my point of criticism is that it is unfortunately very cramped when there is a lot of activity and it becomes difficult.

I lived in Berlin for 10 years and ate a lot of kebabs there. Alanya is better.

Finally, the most delicious kebab / Dürüm on the west bank is no longer leased, but is once again run by the owning family. Now it tastes really good again and the service is friendly again!

We have wanted to try Alanya again for a long time. Unfortunately, the meat tasted somehow musty and €8.9 for a normal kebab is unfortunately very steep. All in all a mediocre affair.

Very tasty, large kebab. Skewer consisted of pieces of meat (I mean it was beef) and not an indefinable meat pulp like sometimes. The taste was correspondingly good and intense. Gladly again.

Today, based on a recommendation, we decided to get a kebab here for the first time. The store looks nice, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The taste of the kebab didn't impress us at all and unfortunately we couldn't eat it. We have never experienced such a bad kebab before. Too bad!

Delicious. The service is quick and at least 5 meals are prepared at the same time. It is generally nice on Holtenauer Straße. And a lot is made of the small space. The price is also very reasonable compared to the service and taste.

Alanya Döner in Kiel gets an **8 out of 10** from me. The taste and quality are solid, but the price of €8.90** for a kebab is a bit too high in my opinion. If the prices were a little more moderate, the experience could be even better.

I think the meat and the sauces are really good. And then the whole thing unfortunately ends up in industrial flatbread... If the flatbread were homemade, it would be 5/5 stars, but that means one star is deducted.

My sister took me here in 2000 when I visited her in Germany. She told me it was the best in Kiel. It was my first Döner, and it was amazing! Two years later I moved to Hamburg…I found good Döner places…but they were never as good as Alanya's. When friends in Kiel told us it was closed, we were sad. Then when they recently told us it had reopened under new management, we were THRILLED! We were in Kiel for 10 days (June 2024) and went here twice for Döner. I always prefer the Fladenbrot version, whereas my husband favours the Durum. WOW! THEY WERE AMAZING! The flavours were great; the portions were great…the whole experience was great! Yes, some people will say the prices are high for Döner…and if you're comparing it to Döner you know, then that might be the case…but bear in mind that these Döners felt really heavy with all the fillings. Also, what things have really come down in price? Another plus is that I could pay with card. I very rarely carry cash with me nowadays, so it's always a joy to see companies offering contactless payments. If you're in Kiel, and need a Döner, head to this place! You WON'T be disappointed!

We have just moved to Ravensberg and have finally found our “döner kebab” here. The Dürum was very tasty, juicy, well-seasoned meat, fresh salad, wonderfully fresh bread, delicious sauces. We're happy to spend 8.90 euros on that, especially since you're really full.

Alanya is back Everything was great, if you want real doner kepap you have to go to Alanya. The lavaş bread is homemade and there is Turkish tea. The staff is friendly and responds to special requests, all in all it's WORTH IT.

I once asked Turkish construction workers where they could get good kebab in Kiel. It was said that it was a nasty shop that couldn't be beaten. A kebab was brought to the construction site... amazing, today I confess that I'm driving from Sörup to Kiel to eat a mega kebab......

Doner kebab plate with beef...why do you not tell your customers that the skewer contains a certain amount of lamb? The store looks good and the atmosphere is inviting. I've eaten a lot of Dürüm/Kebab, but the meat was very dry...maybe I was there at the wrong time. The meat is seasoned for the general public and that's a bit "too much"... Some people like it, I prefer it subtle, a little salt is enough! I had a Dürüm to take away and the seller himself will be able to sing a song about it. When eating, a napkin is definitely not enough to support a beard. Conclusion, not again!

We got a normal kebab here. The meat was very strongly seasoned, which left a certain spiciness as an aftertaste in the mouth, and was also very dry. The accompanying sauces were only available to a limited extent, so that overall it was a very dry and spicy affair. We will no longer eat kebab here in the future, but will instead resort to other locations.

A beautiful Germany with fast and friendly staff. The kebab meat is very tasty, but unfortunately the bread is industrial bread. If improvements were made here, Alanya would be my favorite kebab, as at the moment the high prices are unfortunately a bit unjustified.

By far the best kebab shop in Kiel. There's nothing to say there. Meat is prepared in-house and you can taste it too. Unfortunately the seating options are somewhat limited as it is very busy and always occupied. But if the weather is good you can also sit outside. Inside I think the new wall painting is beautiful.

Per: Salad was OK Neutral: - Fries were worse than in the swimming pool but better than starving Cons: - It took a very long time (about 10 minutes) - Beef is stretched with minced meat mass - Chicken meat doesn't taste like anything that has anything to do with chicken. Maybe it could be bread. - the sauces are much too liquid, I'm assuming that it's stretched out so that the bread gets soggy after a few minutes. The Dürüm, for example, is ripped straight into an elongated shape. - You can never ever eat on site, the shop is unusually narrow, but the owners can't really do anything about that... :/
