The best kebab (of course we have it in Arabic bread) is back in Kiel. Quality meat whose fibers you can feel when chewing and not over-seasoned factory mush like in other kebab shops. The vegetables are finely chopped and, like the sauces, are of the same old, usual quality. Absolute recommendation! If you want kebab in Kiel, then only here!

Really delicious meat...one of the best kebabs in Germany

When I was little, I was already excited about this kebab! Unfortunately, we then moved to Berlin and I now live in the deep south of Germany. All the better when you discover on your way to Scandinavia that the Alanya Grill is back! Still just as delicious as before! The kebab in Dürüm from back then can now be purchased as a jumbo and the bread, meat and sauces are really delicious. By the way, for vegetarians who don't like feta and falafel: At Alanya Grill, "a kebab without meat" (salad, cabbage and sauces in the Dürüm and warmed up on the contact grill as always) tastes very, very tasty! Try it out :) The new ambience is also cool and creates a pleasant atmosphere. For the summer, I could imagine that it might be worth doing a few experiments to make a kebab refreshing even in the heat: e.g. optionally (as a "limited edition" and freely selectable for the customer) pomegranate seeds or pineapple Pieces in the salad, as long as the taste is compatible with sauces and no reductions are to be expected. After returning to the tried and tested “family business” concept, the Alanya Grill has not only improved significantly visually - the quality of the food is also impressive again. As usual, the meat skewers are freshly prepared with full dedication, without using mass-produced products. Particularly worth mentioning is the vegetarian version, which is very popular with guests.

Meat tastes like HS and the general store is small with no seats. Overpriced food. Staff is fine.

I always take vegetarian kebab, very tasty, tastes fresh and what I really like is that there is a lot of sheep's cheese in it. My only criticism is that the kebab is only lukewarm and if you take it with you, it is cold when you get home. Service is super friendly and attentive. The ambience is very nicely done, bright and modernly furnished, but my point of criticism is that it is unfortunately very cramped when there is a lot of activity and it becomes difficult.

Finally, the most delicious kebab / Dürüm on the west bank is no longer leased, but is once again run by the owning family. Now it tastes really good again and the service is friendly again!

We have wanted to try Alanya again for a long time. Unfortunately, the meat tasted somehow musty and €8.9 for a normal kebab is unfortunately very steep. All in all a mediocre affair.

Today, based on a recommendation, we decided to get a kebab here for the first time. The store looks nice, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The taste of the kebab didn't impress us at all and unfortunately we couldn't eat it. We have never experienced such a bad kebab before. Too bad!

Delicious. The service is quick and at least 5 meals are prepared at the same time. It is generally nice on Holtenauer Straße. And a lot is made of the small space. The price is also very reasonable compared to the service and taste.

Alanya Döner in Kiel gets an **8 out of 10** from me. The taste and quality are solid, but the price of €8.90** for a kebab is a bit too high in my opinion. If the prices were a little more moderate, the experience could be even better.

I think the meat and the sauces are really good. And then the whole thing unfortunately ends up in industrial flatbread... If the flatbread were homemade, it would be 5/5 stars, but that means one star is deducted.

My sister took me here in 2000 when I visited her in Germany. She told me it was the best in Kiel. It was my first Döner, and it was amazing! Two years later I moved to Hamburg…I found good Döner places…but they were never as good as Alanya's. When friends in Kiel told us it was closed, we were sad. Then when they recently told us it had reopened under new management, we were THRILLED! We were in Kiel for 10 days (June 2024) and went here twice for Döner. I always prefer the Fladenbrot version, whereas my husband favours the Durum. WOW! THEY WERE AMAZING! The flavours were great; the portions were great…the whole experience was great! Yes, some people will say the prices are high for Döner…and if you're comparing it to Döner you know, then that might be the case…but bear in mind that these Döners felt really heavy with all the fillings. Also, what things have really come down in price? Another plus is that I could pay with card. I very rarely carry cash with me nowadays, so it's always a joy to see companies offering contactless payments. If you're in Kiel, and need a Döner, head to this place! You WON'T be disappointed!

We have just moved to Ravensberg and have finally found our “döner kebab” here. The Dürum was very tasty, juicy, well-seasoned meat, fresh salad, wonderfully fresh bread, delicious sauces. We're happy to spend 8.90 euros on that, especially since you're really full.

Alanya is back Everything was great, if you want real doner kepap you have to go to Alanya. The lavaş bread is homemade and there is Turkish tea. The staff is friendly and responds to special requests, all in all it's WORTH IT.

Doner kebab plate with beef...why do you not tell your customers that the skewer contains a certain amount of lamb? The store looks good and the atmosphere is inviting. I've eaten a lot of Dürüm/Kebab, but the meat was very dry...maybe I was there at the wrong time. The meat is seasoned for the general public and that's a bit "too much"... Some people like it, I prefer it subtle, a little salt is enough! I had a Dürüm to take away and the seller himself will be able to sing a song about it. When eating, a napkin is definitely not enough to support a beard. Conclusion, not again!

We got a normal kebab here. The meat was very strongly seasoned, which left a certain spiciness as an aftertaste in the mouth, and was also very dry. The accompanying sauces were only available to a limited extent, so that overall it was a very dry and spicy affair. We will no longer eat kebab here in the future, but will instead resort to other locations.

A beautiful Germany with fast and friendly staff. The kebab meat is very tasty, but unfortunately the bread is industrial bread. If improvements were made here, Alanya would be my favorite kebab, as at the moment the high prices are unfortunately a bit unjustified.

By far the best kebab shop in Kiel. There's nothing to say there. Meat is prepared in-house and you can taste it too. Unfortunately the seating options are somewhat limited as it is very busy and always occupied. But if the weather is good you can also sit outside. Inside I think the new wall painting is beautiful.

Per: Salad was OK Neutral: - Fries were worse than in the swimming pool but better than starving Cons: - It took a very long time (about 10 minutes) - Beef is stretched with minced meat mass - Chicken meat doesn't taste like anything that has anything to do with chicken. Maybe it could be bread. - the sauces are much too liquid, I'm assuming that it's stretched out so that the bread gets soggy after a few minutes. The Dürüm, for example, is ripped straight into an elongated shape. - You can never ever eat on site, the shop is unusually narrow, but the owners can't really do anything about that... :/

Best kebab in Kiel. Premium meat. Not too little meat... Finally the good flatbread that isn't open on the sides. Maybe the sheep's cheese could be a little softer... but like so many things, that's a matter of taste 😇 100% recommended

Very tasty meat and very nice staff!

I was really looking forward to my Dürüm and was amazed at the color of the meat when I cut it off. So I think it's cheeky to label it as beef on the menu when you can actually taste it and it has lamb in it. I think something like that should be noted. Because as many write here, it's not everyone's case. Not mine either and that's why next time we'll go somewhere else.

Went there yesterday at 10:30 p.m. and still received a very nice welcome from the young gentleman behind the counter. Dürüm was very tasty and didn't fall apart out of my hand. My little one was very happy about the free Börek. Great staff, great food, we'll come again.

Doner kebab for €8.50 isn't exactly cheap, but the quality is good. Vegans are also well catered for here, as there is a choice of several vegan sauces as well as falafel or seitan as toppings.

Finally open again. Good kebab made from real meat and not leftover minced meat in the form of a rotisserie

Alanya Grill is finally back! With great ambience, high quality meat and homemade lavash bread, it really is Kiel's best kebab. We have been loyal regular customers for over 15 years and particularly appreciate the friendliness of the staff. We are very happy that Alanya Grill is back!

I've eaten a lot of kebab all over Germany but Alanya tops everything. The meat is juicy and flavorful and not just fatty like others. The salad is very fresh and also very seasoned. Overall just great.

Unfortunately overcrowded and very often no or very very little sauce. Three out of 4 Dürum had too little sauce.

A small kebab shop that makes really good kebab. The taste is still the same as it was 20 years ago, delicious! The shop is newly renovated and beautiful.

The Dürüm has the same quality as before. Prices have risen everywhere. The better quality compared to other kebab shops justifies the price difference. Nevertheless, €8.90 takes a lot of getting used to.

The store is quite small and the prices are relatively high. In my opinion, the meat doesn't look very tasty and also tastes strongly of pepper. Fries were soft and everything was cold, even though I live right next door. It's a snack bar and not a restaurant and I think the ambience after the reopening is very successful. The quality of the kebab/dürüm is good, the meat is really meat and not minced meat. The sauces are delicious, the vegetables are crunchy. Prices have risen, but where is this not the case at the moment. I would love to come back.

You order a jumbo kebab for 11.50€ and you don't get full because there's hardly anything in it, so you'd better go to Vineta Platz to Yusuf where you pay 7 euros for a reasonable kebab with home-baked bread or every Friday to Mevlana Mosque where the kebab is 7 It costs euros and tastes great and fills you up too. Conclusion once and never again.

Everything just fits here. Taste of the Dürüm kebab a 10 out of 10 points, real kebab, everything fresh, juicy and good seasoning. The staff 10 out of 10, very friendly, courteous and attentive. The shop is small but I think it has a great atmosphere. I couldn't get enough of the wall tattoos. I can only recommend the Dpner.

I had a Dürüm with beef. The beef was super juicy and very well seasoned. The salad was very fresh! The sauces were very tasty, but I deducted a star because the sauce was a bit too thin for my taste. But overall a great kebab that I will definitely visit more often.

Hello! I recently got something to take away here with my friend. I had a small kebab with halloumi & my friend had a normal dürum. My kebab was very tasty and the Dürum was also very tasty. Definitely better quality than the 0815 kebab around the corner. I also liked the selection of vegan sauces (although we didn't eat any of them ourselves). The service was in a good mood and you immediately felt at home. The ambience is nicely decorated, but the rooms are very small and there was a lot going on, so I imagine the food there wouldn't be quite as comfortable.

Fleisch lecker wie früher, aber leider durch das warmhalten trocken. Den Soßen fehlt komplett der Pepp. Durch die Taschenform und die viele Soße suppt das Brot gegen Ende durch. Die Salate waren nicht knackig. Uns wurde zum vor Ort essen nur eine Serviette mitgegeben und nicht mal ein Teller.

Nettes Personal, leckeres Essen, schöner Laden. Aus Hannover hergekommen und werde definitiv wieder hierher kommen.

Döner leider nicht mehr was er früher einmal war (bester Döner Kiel). Ja, das Fleisch ist immer noch gut, aber nicht mehr sehr gut aber der Rest wie zum Beispiel das Brot ist es auch nicht mehr. Und Jumbo Döner für 11Euronen ist enttäuschend klein.

Endlich ist Alanya wieder da, der meiner Meinung nach beste Döner in Kiel! Sehr schmackhaftes Fleisch, kein Fabrik- oder Industriedöner. Alles selbst und handgemacht und mit Liebe serviert!

Vom Fleisch der beste Döner in Kiel, leider billiges Brot und ziemlich teuer. Insgesamt trotzdem der beste Döner den ich in Kiel bis jetzt gegessen habe aber im Vergleich mit anderen Städten eher schwach da man für weniger Geld besseren Döner bekommt.

Für mich der beste Dönner in Kiel & Umgebung, sehr lecker, sehr gute Qualität vom Fleisch. Auch die anderen Speisen setzen sich von der Konkurrenz ab. Service 1A, Empfehlung geht raus.

Nach der Neueröffnung ein optisches Highlight. Die Wände sind schön bemalt mit vielen Details, welche einladend wirken. Auch die sonstige Einrichtung ist modern, hier gibt es nichts zu meckern. Da das Geschäft eher schmal geschnitten ist, gibt es nur wenige Sitzmöglichkeiten. Zu Stoßzeiten kann es schon einmal ungemütlich werden, wenn die Schlange einem beim Essen zuschaut. Das Dönerfleisch ist außerordentlich lecker. Die Würzung unterscheidet sich markant vom "Standard"-Döner / Drehspieß. Wer schon einmal in der Türkei Urlaub gemacht hat, wird den Geschmack wiedererkennen. Dies macht auf mich einen authentischen Eindruck. Auf jeden Fall das Aushängeschild des Ladens! Die Würze fordert allerdings im Anschluss auch ihren Tribut in Form eines Getränks. Das Brot ist leider nichts Selbstgemachtes sondern ein Fertigprodukt. Für mich etwas unverständlich, da dies dem leckeren Fleisch und somit dem Geschmack doch etwas schadet. Insbesondere für den Preis vom 8,90€ darf man hier trotz der Fleischqualität mehr erwarten. Dies bieten schließlich ein Großteil der Geschäfte in Kiel bereits an. Aktuell ist der Ansturm auf den Laden noch sehr groß, weshalb hohe Wartezeiten nichts ungewöhnliches sind. Hier kann es auch mal passieren, dass man auf der Straße stehen muss, da das Geschäft bereits gefüllt ist. Obwohl ausreichend Personal im vor Ort ist und auch die Bestellungen zügig aufgenommen werden, dauert die Bearbeitung noch etwas lang. Hier spielt sich das Team in Zukunft hoffentlich noch besser ein. Das Team selbst wirkt bei der Bedienung freundlich, auch wenn viele Kunden warten. Es bleibt abzuwarten, wie sich das Geschäft noch der Neueröffnung und dem Hype entwickelt. Eine Alternative zum Standard in Kiel ist herzlich willkommen. Die erhobenen Preise lassen einen jedoch auch zweimal überlegen, wie oft man dort wirklich essen geht. Hier sollte man ein feines Gespür für die Preisentwicklung in Zukunft behalten.
