Ordering at the terminal is super easy, and the food is prepared quickly. The meat and vegetables are fresh, and there's a great selection. I would eat here more often, but unfortunately, my last two orders weren't done correctly. It was only the wrong sauce that I received, but it's still disappointing to have it happen twice in a row. The staff, however, are very friendly!

Yesterday was our first time at this branch of Dönerwerk. Our order was taken quickly, and the food was prepared promptly. The döner was delicious, the portion was huge, and the bread was very tasty. We were thrilled and will definitely be back.

We went there for lunch yesterday with colleagues. The gentleman in the cap who runs the place was very attentive. An older lady in front of us was treated very courteously, and everything was explained to her. Our food was excellent, and the gentleman went around several times to check that everything was clean, etc. Truly great, we'll be back. More often.

The restaurant was outstanding and the waiters were simply superb, working perfectly together as a team.

I traveled to Germany from Norway with my family, and we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. That's how we found this place. It was truly fantastic – the food was exceptional and delicious. It was my first experience with Turkish doner kebab, and the staff certainly didn't skimp on the meat and chicken. The amount of chicken was very generous. I especially want to commend the warm welcome from the Arab employee who works there – he was incredibly kind. We will definitely be back.

They make great kebab's. They have many customers. They have a big variety of sauces and vegetables and offer beef, porc and chicken meat - and the kebab is really big! Can't remember when I got such a good kebab in Switzerland.

You don't get what you order, and when you point it out, they don't care, since you've already paid. The large kebab box is exactly the same as the medium one, only costs €2 more for the same contents. I can't recommend such a bad shop that also cheats customers.

The ambiance is modern, clean, and cozy – you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality here. For me, this is clearly the best kebab place in Kiel – highly recommended!

I wanted to give dönerWERK a chance because they sponsor the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief). The order was delivered via Uber Eats, which is not part of this review. However, they omitted a Coke and a portion of French fries. Things like that can happen by mistake. The €2.31 "refund" from Uber Eats is a bad joke, but it's not part of this review. What rounds things off unpleasantly (and makes me give my review regarding the previous "mistake" with a certain amount of apprehension) is that instead of the 0.33l Coke, they delivered a 0.2l Coke. Furthermore, the driver had to wait another 20 minutes on site, even though the order had already been placed half an hour ago. Realistically, the food was okay to good. Too bad—I'll try a different kebab place next time.

The order came late with food missing. After calling they told me yes, we send now the missing food. They never did. Be careful ordering.

I've been there a total of three times now and tried everything. 1. Berliner kebab with spicy herb sauce... unfortunately, a disappointment. The flatbread was barely toasted, the amount of salad and meat was significantly too small (I estimate a maximum of 100 grams of meat and a minimal amount of salad), and the spicy sauce is Hella curry ketchup. The sauce would have been perfect with a currywurst. 2. Regular kebab with extra cheese bread... The bread was old, dry, and probably crispy a few hours ago. The extra cheese bread I paid for wasn't used for the preparation. After complaining, they gave me a small bowl of crumbled cheese, with the explanation that "unfortunately, the cheese bread was sold out and would have to be rebaked." 3. Dürum... The Dürum cost almost €13. It came with extra meat and cheese. I also ordered the cheese sauce as a dip. The order was for takeout, and only when I got home did I realize the cheese dip was missing. Overall, it's a really bad kebab shop. The meat, salad, sauces, and bread are uninspired and just random fast food. The price/performance ratio is too optimized for the operator and neglects the customer's interests. Hygiene in the sales area is good. ...I won't eat there a fourth time.

A modernly furnished kebab shop. The quality is definitely better than many others. The bread is fresh and crispy. This applies to both the dürüm and the döner. The meat is rather lean, and the vegetables are crisp. The plates and small trays are chic and modern. The portion sizes are quite small and the prices are higher. But all in all, it's okay. Parking is generally a disaster. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Orders can be placed online at the terminal or at the counter.

What was absolutely disgusting, though, was the air conditioning unit on the ceiling. Feel free to check it out. I'd rather go to Sultan at the train station.

Ordered lahmacun special first thing in the morning, they not baked it yet, but offered a durum instead, asked for a free drink, but they refused, but with prices like this i don't think its a problem for them, but anyways not my fault i could order it in the terminal and they didnt have it, should have gotten a refund and not agree with a substitute.

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good visit. The restaurant was very busy, yet the doner meat was completely cold. On top of that, the tables were sticky, the restroom (only one for all guests) was completely dirty and couldn't even be locked. And then there's the unfriendly service... I was yelled at to pick up my order number X, while the display didn't yet indicate my order as ready for pickup. Two minutes later, my "dinner" arrived in a to-go bag without napkins or forks (and a doner box). It's outrageous that they charged the 19% VAT and then served it to us in a "to-go bag"...

The ambiance is very nice, and the shop was busy. Unfortunately, my doner meat was already cold when I received it. That's a shame, because I was really looking forward to trying an avocado doner. Furthermore, the staff were quite stressed and therefore quite unfriendly to customers. During my time in the restaurant, I and several other customers were yelled at very rudely when the food wasn't picked up immediately upon first calling (even though the pickup number wasn't displayed yet). Furthermore, the restroom situation is very questionable. For a restaurant with an estimated 50 guests, there is only one small, very dirty restroom for all genders in the backyard. You had to ask for it, and unfortunately, it smelled so strongly of urine that using the toilet was practically impossible. It also couldn't be locked, and the flush was broken (see photo). It's actually a good shop with a good concept, but due to the service and the restroom situation, I wouldn't want to visit the shop again.

The doner kebabs at Dönerwerk taste very good. The only thing I don't like at all is the ordering terminal. Vegetarians have a very difficult time in this shop. If you want to order a doner kebab without meat, you have to be careful, because if you don't select a type of meat, for example, with the avocado doner, you'll still get meat. The staff said there was a vegetarian avocado doner, but it wasn't listed. In my opinion, the ordering terminal is not customer-friendly.

Okay, 1. I'm from Berlin, I know kebabs! The ordering system is unfortunately very poor because it's confusing. I ended up accidentally ordering a Dürüm with fries and a Coke Zero. The only problem was that I didn't want either the fries or the Coke. I settled for the Coke, and the fries went to a hungry homeless person. Price... ugh! Customer service and friendliness? None! I picked a kebab from the vending machine – but unfortunately, the program was confusing, and I chose the wrong ingredients. When I installed it, all I got was "Your bad luck!" It's your problem if you do it wrong. You got what you ordered. No concessions, quite the opposite. I should throw it away myself. I ordered a large lamaqum with chicken and a small pair of fries with ketchup. Bought for 17 euros, I got a lamaqun with doner kebab. The meat wasn't even cooked properly and the fries were dry. In the end I got food that was worth less than I paid for. When I asked if I could get my money back because I had paid too much, I got an ice cream for 2 euros instead of 5 euros, and it felt like I only got half the ice cream. Yesterday I ate a Dürüm. It tasted really good, but that was about it for the positive aspects. Less than five hours later, I was lying flat on my back with a full-blown stomach bug. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea all night long. And this was right in the middle of exam season. I can only assume that the store either ignored hygiene regulations or employed sick staff with norovirus or rotavirus.

Great and modern. But it's a lot of mass, and the quality isn't what it seems. You'll be full, but it's not exactly impressive.

The ambience promises more than what you get for your money. I have 16 years of extensive experience in the kebab industry and can sadly say that this was the worst kebab plate I have ever had. The salad my partner ordered was a joke. The cutlery was not even replenished after cleaning, so we had to eat there with wooden cutlery. Really sad, and I don't understand how this place got a rating of 4.3. I have to give it one point, but it is expressly only for the ambience; you can't give points for anything else.

Yesterday we tried the "Berliner Döner" and I'm absolutely convinced. The bread is crispy but not dry, the special Berliner Döner sauces are highly recommended, and the price of €7.60 is, in my opinion, justified for what you get. Two of them were working without gloves, even though disposable gloves were clearly visible at the table. I couldn't hear anything because of all the noise from Kiel Week, and when our number was called, I came to pick it up and the employee said, "DO YOU THINK I'M KIDDING OR WHAT?!" after we waited 20 minutes for our food because one of us couldn't eat veal for religious reasons, and the cashier asked us five times if he couldn't just eat veal... Never again.

I ordered an extra sauce for €3, didn't receive it, and told the person at the counter. They tried to tell me it was included in the doner kebab, which it definitely wasn't. The fries were swimming in grease, and the staff weren't very friendly either.

Unfortunately, this wasn't for me. Ordering at the terminal was impersonal, and they didn't read the orders while preparing them. The sour cream tasted rancid, the sweet potato fries were good, the Berlin-style doner kebab was just okay, the bread was too soft, and the sauces were rather bland. I won't be going back.

According to Schleswig Holstein law, every snack bar must have a toilet with 10 or more seats. This is not how you treat paying customers. Are you trying to call? No chance. Permanently occupied. Apparently you don't want to be available at all - the main thing is that you don't have to deal with your own mistakes. Conclusion: customer service non-existent, reliability at zero. We’re out – for good. Missing products will be refunded, period. For everyone who values ​​honest service: stay away!
